Display device performing authentication operation and method of operation thereof

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a display device that performs an authentication operation and an operating method thereof.

[0002] In a network environment, a display device can be registered with an external electronic device, such as a mobile terminal or server, for control or interaction functions. The display device can be connected to the external electronic device via wireless communication, perform authentication operations, and register with the external electronic device based on the authentication results.
