Abstract
Description
[0001] PESTICIDAL COMPOSITION CONTAINING IPROBENFOS FIELD OF THE INVENTION The present disclosure relates generally to the field of agrochemical compositions. Particularly, the present disclosure pertains to a synergistic composition and formulations thereof capable of protecting crops from the harmful effects of pathogenic fungi. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Fungicides are compounds, of natural or synthetic origin, which act to protect and cure plants against damage caused by agriculturally-relevant fungi. The ecological and economic demands made on modern active ingredients, for example fungicides, are increasing constantly, for example with respect to activity spectrum, toxicity, selectivity, application rate, formation of residues and favourable manufacture. There are also problems, for example, that are associated with resistances. There is thus a constant need to develop novel fungicidal compositions with different modes of action which have advantages over the known compounds and compositions at least in some areas. Hence, a premix of the best possible formulation for a combination of fungicides would help growers to combat these important fungal diseases. A typical challenge in the field of crop protection is to reduce the dose rates of an active ingredient in order to reduce or avoid unfavorable environmental or toxicological effects whilst still allowing effective control. Therefore, a combined application of an effective amount of fungicides in a uniform composition is a practical necessity. The present invention relates to a fungicidal product that contains a combination of active substances, a method for controlling undesired pathogenic microorganism using this product, its use and the plant propagation organs treated with this product, as well as the use of this combination for the preparation of the product Iprobenfos (Iprobenfos), molecular formula: C13H21O3PS, chemical name: O- diisopropyl-S-benzyl phosphorothioate sulfide .it belongs to a systemic bactericide and has good systemic bactericidal action. Absorbed by the roots of the plants and the leaf sheaths under the water surface and dispersed to all parts of the plants. The composition is mainly used for preventing and treating the neck blast of early and late rice, has obvious effects on small-pellet sclerotinia rot, small-pellet sclerotinia rot and sheath blight of rice and preventing and treating plant hoppers, and also has the function of lodging resistance. Validamycin (English common name: Validamycin) with the molecular formula of C20H35O13N is an antibiotic produced by actinomycetes, has strong systemic property, is easily absorbed by thalli cells and rapidly conducts in the thalli cells, interferes and inhibits the growth and development of the thalli cells, and pure products are white amorphous powder, are dissolved in water and dimethylformamide, are slightly dissolved in ethanol, are insoluble in organic solvents such as acetone, benzene, ethyl acetate and the like, have strong hygroscopicity, are stable in a pH3-9 aqueous solution at room temperature, are mainly used for rice sheath blight, can also be used for rice false smut, corn big and small leaf spot, crop diseases of vegetables, cotton, beans and the like, and has the advantages of high control efficiency, no chemical injury, no pollution and the like. Tebuconazole is used in a number of different popular fungicide products to control fungi, bacteria, and viruses affecting plants. Some of the common fungal and disease problems Tebuconazole is known to treat are rust fungus, sheath blight, leaf spot, and anthracnose. Tebuconazole is dimethylase inhibitor (DMI) -interferes in process of building the structure of fungal cell wall. Finally it inhibits the reproduction and further growth of fungus. Patent documents WO2018025192, CN102835407, CN101700028 and journal documents Plant Disease, 87(7), 784-788(2003) and Pestology, 38(1), 47-51(2014) also describes the composition of Azoxystrobin and Mancozeb. Further, repeated and exclusive application of individual pesticide compounds leads to development of natural or adapted resistance against the active compounds. Therefore, there is a need for pest control agents that help in preventing resistance induced by pesticides. It has been found that, as a solution to the above-mentioned problems, a combination comprising Iprobenfos, Validamycin, and Tebuconazole provides an effective composition in controlling a wide variety of undesired pathogenic microorganisms. The present invention provides a combination of Iprobenfos, Validamycin, and Tebuconazole with enhanced efficacy and spectrum as compared to the use of Iprobenfos, Validamycin, and Tebuconazole alone. The mixture is homogenized using a high shear homogenizer for 60–90 minutes to obtain a uniform slurry. 3) The technical active ingredient(s) and other remaining adjuvants (excluding antifreeze and thickeners) are added to the homogenized slurry obtained in Step 2, resulting in a uniform slurry composition. 4) Half of the required quantity of antifoam agent is added to the slurry. The resulting mixture is subjected to particle size reduction using appropriate equipment such as a Dyno-Mill until particles of the desired size are achieved. 5) The remaining half of the antifoam agent along with the antifreeze agent is incorporated into the processed slurry from Step 4. 6) The gum solution prepared in Step 1 is added to the mixture obtained in Step 5 to yield the final suspension concentrate formulation.

The required quantity of emulsifiers is added into the mixture, followed by homogenization using a high shear homogenizer for a period of 60–90 minutes to obtain a uniform homogenized solvent‑emulsifier mixture. 2) The technical active ingredients—Iprobenfos, Validamycin, and Tebuconazole—are added sequentially into the homogenized solvent– emulsifier mixture obtained in Step 1 and stirred until a uniform emulsion concentrate solution is achieved. 3) The prepared emulsion concentrate is subjected to quality control tests in accordance with specified parameters. After successful qualification, the product is filtered (if required) and filled into desired pack sizes. Example 4 Evaluation of Bio-efficacy & Phytotoxicity of Fungicidal Composition and thereof (Iprobenfos and Validamycin and Tebuconazole SE against Sheath Blight disease on Rice crop. Methodology The experiment was conducted at Warangal during Rabi 2024-25, to study the efficacy of Iprobenfos 17.5% + Validamycin 2.5% + Tebuconazole 9% SE against sheath blight disease of rice. All the standard package of practices of Rice from sowing to harvesting stage of the crop was followed uniformly in all the treatments. A minimum plot size of 25 m² per replication per treatment was maintained. The treatments were imposed immediately after the first appearance of the disease was done and the spraying with water was kept as untreated check as control. An observation on the percentage disease incidence of the Sheath blight disease phytotoxicity effect of the crop and yield -kg / ha was recorded as per the treatments given. The results from the experiment revealed that the application of Iprobenfos 17.5% + Validamycin 2.5% + Tebuconazole 9% SE on rice showed no phytotoxic effects at the tested doses for T2, T3, and untreated control. The product was found to be safe for the crop. None of the tested treatments exhibited any phytotoxic symptoms—such as yellowing, stunting, necrosis, epinasty, or hyponasty—at 1, 3, 5, 7, and 10 days after spraying. Conclusion Among all the treatments, T2 (290 g a.i / ha) and T3 (362.5 g a.i / ha) containing Iprobenfos 17.5% + Validamycin 2.5% + Tebuconazole 9% SE performed best against sheath blight disease of rice compared to the other treatments. Hence, this fungicide combination can be effectively used for the management of sheath blight in rice.
