[0022] As mentioned above, in the process of creating media content, video effects and picture effects are often used by users in the process of creation. Such effects can enrich the media content created by the user and improve the interesting degree of the content.
[0023] In the process of effect editing, one can create a new object in a scene by utilizing existing assets. As an example, such assets can include models, images, textures, and the like. With conventional effect editing schemes, a user needs to complete the creation of an object through multiple click operations, which is cumbersome.
[0024] Embodiments of the present disclosure propose a scheme for effect editing. According to the scheme, an editing interface of an effect can be presented, the editing interface including an asset panel and a scene panel, the asset panel displaying a set of candidate assets, and the scene panel being used to display scene information of the effect. Further, a drag operation on a first asset in the set of candidate assets can be received.
[0025] Additionally, in response to the drag operation entering the scene panel, it can be determined whether the first asset matches a current editing mode of the scene panel. In response to the first asset not matching the current editing mode, the scene panel can be switched to a target editing mode matching the first asset. Further, in response to the drag operation ending within the scene panel, an object corresponding to the first asset can be created in the scene panel.
[0026] In this way, embodiments of the present disclosure can quickly create an object by dragging an asset to a scene panel. Moreover, embodiments of the present disclosure can also check whether the editing mode of the current scene panel matches the asset during the dragging process. If not, embodiments of the present disclosure can automatically switch the editing mode of the scene panel to complete the automatic creation of the object.
[0027] Thus, embodiments of the present disclosure can complete asset-based object creation through a drag operation and can ensure the matching between the asset and the current editing scene, thereby improving the efficiency of effect editing.
[0028] Various example implementations of the scheme are described in further detail below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
[0029] Example Environment
[0030] FIG. 1 shows a schematic diagram of an example environment 100 in which embodiments of the present disclosure can be implemented. As shown in FIG. 1, the example environment 100 can include an electronic device 110.
[0031] In this example environment 100, the electronic device 110 can run an application 120 that supports interface interaction. [0037] Some example embodiments of the present disclosure will be described below with continued reference to the drawings.
[0038] Example Interaction
[0039] FIGS. 2A to 2C illustrate example editing interfaces 200A to 200C according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. The editing interfaces 200A to 200C can be provided by the electronic device 110 shown in FIG. 1, for example. As an example, the interfaces 200A to 200C can be editing interfaces for editing special effects.
[0040] As shown in FIG. 2A, the editing interface 200A can include a plurality of panels or areas with different functions. As shown, the editing interface 200A can include an asset panel 205. The asset panel 205 can present a plurality of candidate assets allowed to be used in the special effect editing application.
[0041] In some embodiments, such assets can include any appropriate type of assets, examples of which can include, but are not limited to, material assets, texture assets, mesh assets, audio playback assets, video playback assets, and the like.
[0042] As shown in FIG. 2A, the editing interface 200A can also include a scene panel 215. The scene panel 215 can present scene information of a special effect. In some embodiments, the scene panel 215 can have two editing modes, namely, a two-dimensional editing mode and a three-dimensional editing mode. In the two-dimensional editing mode, the scene panel 215 can present two-dimensional scene information of the special effect. In the three-dimensional editing mode, the scene panel 215 can present three-dimensional scene information of the special effect.
[0043] In different editing modes, the scene panel 215 can provide different types of editing capabilities. Additionally, the scene panel 215 can also provide a switching entry for switching the editing mode. Taking FIG. 2A as an example, the current editing mode of the scene panel 215 is the two-dimensional editing mode, and the user can switch to the three-dimensional editing mode by clicking “Show 3D”.
[0044] In addition, the editing interface 200A can also provide, for example, a preview panel 220 and a graph editing panel for editing the special effect node graph, and the like.
[0045] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 2A, the electronic device 110 can receive a drag operation 225 for the first asset 210 displayed in the asset panel 205.
[0046] In some embodiments, the electronic device 110 can change the style of the cursor to indicate the current drag state. Additionally, the electronic device 110 can also present additional indication elements for indicating the drag operation.
[0047] As an example, in response to the position of the drag operation 225 being within the asset panel 205, the electronic device 110 can display a first indication element. For example, the electronic device 110 can display the name and icon of the first asset 210 as the first indication element. That is, when the user drags the first asset 210 within the asset panel 205, the electronic device 110 can display the name and icon of the first asset 210 as the first indication element following the cursor.
[0048] Further, as shown in FIG. 2B, the user can drag the first asset 210 into the scene panel 215. In some embodiments, in response to the drag operation 225 entering the scene panel 215, the electronic device 110 can determine whether the first asset 210 matches the current editing mode of the scene panel 215.
[0049] Accordingly, when the drag operation 225 enters the scene panel 215, the electronic device 110 can determine mode configuration information, which can indicate asset information specific to different editing modes.
[0050] In some embodiments, some assets can be specific to a certain editing mode. As an example, a set of reference assets specific to the two-dimensional editing mode can include, for example, a filter asset. That is, only objects corresponding to the filter asset are supported to be added in the two-dimensional editing mode.
[0051] In some embodiments, as an example, a set of reference assets specific to the three-dimensional editing mode can include, for example, a three-dimensional model asset, an audio playback asset, and the like. As an example, only objects corresponding to the three-dimensional model asset are supported to be added in the three-dimensional editing mode.
[0052] It should be appreciated that as the asset types are enriched, other assets not mentioned can also be specific to a certain editing mode.
[0053] Further, the electronic device 110 can determine, based on the mode configuration information, whether the first asset 210 matches the current editing mode.
[0054] Taking FIG. 2A as an example, the first asset 210 can be a three-dimensional model asset specific to a three-dimensional editing scene, for example. Accordingly, since the current editing mode of the scene panel 215 shown in FIG. 2A is a two-dimensional editing mode, the electronic device 110 can determine that the first asset 210 does not match the current editing mode.
[0055] Accordingly, as shown in FIG. 2B, when the drag operation 225 enters the scene panel 215, the electronic device 110 can switch the scene panel 215 to a target editing mode matching the first asset 210.
[0056] As shown in FIG. 2B, continuing to take the three-dimensional model asset as the first asset 210, the electronic device 110 can automatically switch the scene panel 215 to a three-dimensional editing mode.
[0057] Additionally, in response to the position of the drag operation 225 within the scene panel 215, the electronic device 110 can switch to display a second indication element for indicating the drag operation. Taking FIG. 2B as an example, when the first asset 210 (e.g., a three-dimensional model asset of a football) is dragged into the scene panel 215, the electronic device 110 can display a preview of the first asset 210, e.g., a three-dimensional football, in association with the cursor.
[0058] Further, if the user ends the drag operation 225 within the scene panel 215, as shown in FIG. 2C, the electronic device 110 can create an object 230 corresponding to the first asset 210 in the scene panel 215.
[0059] For example, if the user releases the drag operation 225 in the scene panel 215, the electronic device 110 can automatically create a three-dimensional football object based on the first asset 210 (e.g., a three-dimensional model asset of a football) at the corresponding position, for example.
[0060] In some embodiments, the creation position of the object 230 can be determined based on the ending position of the drag operation 225. Additionally, the electronic device 110 can also set one or more preset properties for the object 230.
[0061] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 2C, in response to the object 230 being created, the electronic device 110 can also display a configuration panel 235 for the object 230 in the editing interface 200C.
[0062] As shown in FIG. 2C, the configuration panel 235 can include configuration controls for configuring one or more properties of the object 230. In some embodiments, the electronic device 110 can also support dragging assets into the configuration panel 235 to configure the corresponding properties.
[0063] As an example, the object 230 can include configuration controls for configuring a texture property. Accordingly, the electronic device 110 may, for example, receive a drag operation for a second asset (e.g., a particular texture asset) in the asset panel 205. Further, in response to the end position of the second drag operation being a configuration control for the texture property of the object 230, the electronic device 110 can set the target property of the object 230 based on the second asset. For example, the electronic device 110 can replace the texture of the object 230 with the dragged texture asset.
[0064] In some embodiments, the electronic device 110 may, for example, also support dragging assets into other appropriate panels, e.g., a graph editing panel, a structure tree panel, etc.
[0065] In yet other embodiments, if the aforementioned drag operation 225 does not end in the scene panel 215, the electronic device 110 will not trigger the creation of a corresponding object in the scene panel 215.
[0066] In some embodiments, during the dragging process within the scene panel 215, the electronic device 110 can display a corresponding preview of the first asset 210. FIG. 2D illustrates an example architecture 200D, according to some embodiments of the present disclosure.
[0067] As shown in FIG. 2D, the asset object creation system 255 can provide two new interfaces, namely, a temporary object creation interface 260 and a temporary object deletion interface 270.
[0068] Additionally, the electronic device 110 can set a drag event management module 285 for the scene panel 215 to add processing logic for managing the drag events within the scene panel 215.
[0069] Specifically, as shown in FIG. 2D, the drag event management module 285 can detect the asset drag event 280 and can invoke different interfaces at different timings to perform corresponding processing.
[0070] Specifically, when detecting a drag-in event 275 (i.e., a drag operation enters into the scene panel 215), the drag event management module 285 can invoke the temporary object creation interface 260 to create a temporary object 265 corresponding to the dragged first asset 210 as an object preview result during the dragging process.
[0071] Further, when the drag-away time 290 is detected (i.e., the drag operation is away from the scene panel 215), the drag event management module 285 can call the temporary object deletion interface 270 to delete the temporary object 265 created based on the first asset 210.
[0072] In some embodiments, all actions in a drag operation (the drag-in operation and the drop operation or the drag-out operation) are merged into one single action unit, and the drag event management module 285 can also handle it with one undo action.
[0073] Further, when the drag operation is within the scene panel 215, the electronic device 110 can also determine the display position of the temporary object 265 based on the position of the drag operation.
[0074] Specifically, the electronic device 110 can first create a “moving plane”, which is the reference plane for asset placement. First, the electronic device 110 can define the normal of this plane, which is achieved by converting the center point (0.5, 0.5) in the viewport to a ray in the world space. This ray is emitted from the camera and points to the position of the cursor, which determines the direction in which the asset should be oriented.
[0075] Since there is no entity as a fulcrum when dragging the asset, the electronic device 110 can also determine a suitable fulcrum. Specifically, the electronic device 110 can determine a position with a preset distance from the camera as the fulcrum of the “moving plane”.
[0076] Further, as the user moves the cursor, the electronic device 110 constantly emits new rays from the camera, which pass through the current position of the cursor in the viewport. The system then calculates the intersection of these rays with the “moving plane”. The electronic device 110 can determine this intersection as the real-time placement position of the asset in the scene.
[0077] Finally, the electronic device 110 moves the asset to this calculated intersection position, ensuring that the placement of the asset not only conforms to the user's intuitive operation, but also accurately reflects in the 3D scene. Thus, the embodiments of the present disclosure can provide a user with an intuitive and accurate way to place assets in a 3D space.
[0078] The above describes an example implementation of the present disclosure in conjunction with FIGS. 2A-2C, taking switching from a two-dimensional editing scene to a three-dimensional editing scene as an example. In some embodiments, the current editing scene can also be a three-dimensional editing mode, for example, and if the asset dragged by the user is a filter asset, the electronic device 110 can automatically switch the scene panel 215 to a two-dimensional editing mode, for example, and can create a filter object corresponding to the filter asset in response to the end of the drag operation within the scene panel 215.
[0079] Therefore, embodiments of the present disclosure can complete asset-based object creation through a drag operation, and can ensure matching between the asset and the current editing scene, thereby improving the efficiency of special effect editing.
[0080] Example process
[0081] FIG. 3 shows a flowchart of an example process 300 of special effect editing, according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. Process 300 can be implemented at electronic device 110. Process 300 is described below with reference to FIG. 1.
