Abstract
Description
SEMI-AUTOMATIC RIFLEDESCRIPTION
[0001] The present invention relates to a semiautomatic rifle.
[0002] In particular, by "semi-automatic rifle" is meant a semi-automatic rifle for sporting use, for example for hunting.
[0003] In known embodiments, semi-automatic rifles comprise a main body, also known as a receiver, in which or on which specific components are housed or engaged, such as those of the firing mechanism or the trigger assembly .
[0004] In particular, the semi-automatic rifle object of the present invention is of the type known as "gas- operated". In such a semi-automatic rifle, the energy of the gases resulting from the explosion of the gunpowder is exploited: a part of said gases is indeed tapped from the barrel through one or more holes in order to generate an expansion inside a magazine tube group comprising a closed cylinder and a sliding piston. The thrust of the piston in turn generates an impulse that re-cocks the moving masses, ejects the shell casing and loads the new cartridge .
[0005] In known solutions of semi-automatic rifles, the interaction and geometry of the barrel group and the magazine tube group prove to be particularly complex, requiring specific manufacturing and maintenance operations .
[0006] The object of the present invention is to provide an alternative solution for a semi-automatic rifle to the solutions of the prior art, suitable for allowing a simple and effective interaction between the barrel group and the magazine tube group.
[0007] This object is achieved by means of the semiautomatic rifle according to claim 1. The dependent claims seek protection for further features and entail further technical advantages.
