Abstract
Description
DescriptionTitle of Invention: Means for connecting a faQade to a construction structureTechnical Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a technical solution for constructing a wooden and other material, e.g. wooden housing assembly including externally attachable facades. The technical field may as well be hot or cold building construction, and not only building for people. Background Art
[0002] Houses / building constructions in general have long been characterized by that the facade and the load-carrying wall are often one and the same, with the former being designed to withstand the various loads imposed upon it, such as wind, snow, and other external forces.
[0003] Quite often the load carrying construction is covered by gypsum sheets or materials to reduce noise travelling through constructions. This makes the wall complicated when it should cover various structural and appropriate considerations. The known solutions involve also the transport of secondary structures, which consequently increases the costs of construction.
[0004] However, this traditional approach has its drawbacks. One significant disadvantage is that the fagade of a load carrying wall is often difficult to disassemble or replace without causing damage to the underlying structure of a construction.
[0005] Furthermore, the fact that load carrying walls are typically designed to carry significant loads means that must be constructed using robust materials and techniques, which can result in increased costs and complexity. This can make itless attractive for homeowners and builders to incorporate additional external facades into their designs, particularly if the benefits of doing so are not immediately apparent.
[0006] As a result, there is a pressing need for a more technically efficient means of providing a fagade to a construction that does not require significant modifications to the underlying structure. Such an arrangement would enable homeowners and builders to enjoy the aesthetic and functional benefits of a fagade without incurring the costs and complexities associated with traditional approaches.
[0007] Current prior art, such as Norwegian patent application N020210407A1 and French patent application FR2932507 A1 discloses techniques in providing a fagade to habitual structures, wherein the top part of the fagade is connected to the roof, and the bottom part of the fagade is connected to the floor or foundation of the habitual structure. Connecting these fagades could be both resource- and time consuming since a construction worker is required to connect both the upper- and lower part of the fagade.
[0008] It is therefore an objective of the present invention to provide a secure and technically efficient arrangement for providing a fagade to a construction that address the limitations and drawbacks of current designs, while also offering improved flexibility and adaptability.Summary of Invention
[0009] It is an object of the present invention to provide a supporting structure and or renovation resource, easier to install, which reduces time for mounting of fagades or external walls to a construction structure, the repairing or re-use of the same construction in buildings, houses, cabins, etc., and without affecting the load-bering structure. The object of the present invention is achieved as described in the claims.DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION:
[0010] The object of the present invention is to achieve an alternative arrangement by providing a fagade or external walls on a construction structure by giving the following advantages:- The construction principle allows the beam layer to be free from the main support system and can be brought to an advantageous foundation point by finding a local natural or able foundation point.- The different foundation points reduce the foundation work.- The construction is a finished interior construction without a transport of a biconstruction.- An optional supporting structure on beams is established independent of the climate shell and allows the reuse of the same,
[0011] Wherein, the supporting structure provides:- a fix and safe structure which prevents for wind loads throughout the building's height, from the top of the terrain to the structure, independently of the supporting structure.- a coherent supporting structure where the connecting elements disposed in the vertical and horizontal plane, split the supporting structure and makes it possible to establish fire and sound barriers and yet split the supporting structure.- The principle allows the safeguarding of sinks in the rafters by separating the load-bearing element from the connecting element of the fagade which can be mounted in a sliding bracket.- the supporting structure constitutes different types of insulation methods and materials and facilitates low carbon accumulation, climate cleanliness and reduction of humidity in the place.- the structure can be installed without need or almost reduced use of fitting at its joints, or throughout bolts etc.; clamps can retain the insulation.- The present invention comprises at least an external wall 1 to be installed on the construction structure, wherein the external wall includes at least a firstvertical member, at least first horizontal member located on the top part of the first vertical member and at least a second horizontal member located on the low part of the first vertical member,
[0012] wherein said at least first vertical-, at least first horizontal and at least second horizontal members act as a connecting interface between the at least external wall and the supporting structure, at least a first cantilever (connecting element )section protruding from a side of the supporting structure for receiving the at least first horizontal member, at least a second cantilever (connecting element ) section protruding from a side of the construction for receiving the at least second horizontal member.
[0013] The supporting structure is preferably a wooden house / cabin or a construction to cover other needs.
[0014] The at least first vertical-, first horizontal- and second horizontal members are preferably fixed to each other.
[0015] The at least first vertical, first horizontal, and second horizontal members are preferably made of wood, metal or polymers.
[0016] The first and second connecting element sections preferably limit the horizontal and vertical movements of the at least first vertical, first horizontal and second horizontal members.
[0017] Preferably, the protruding length of the first and second connecting element (known as cantilever) section defines an empty space between the external wall and supporting structure intended for insulation or a space intended for providing any insulating material.Brief Description of the Drawings
[0018] Fig. 1 illustrates a perspective view of the fagade interface, i.e. first vertical-, first horizontal and second horizontal members, mounted on the constructions structure.
[0019] Fig. 2 illustrates a side view of the fagade interface mounted on the construction structure.Detailed Description of Embodiments
[0020] Figure 1 and figure 2 shows an embodiment of the invention illustrating an arrangement for providing a fagade, or an alternative term or an external wall 1 (only its position is shown om figure 1 and 2) on a side of supporting structure 100, for a building, house or cabin, preferably made of wood or other suitable material. As shown in figures 1 and 2, an actual wall or fagade is not clearly visible, however, the external wall 1 has a connecting interface 101 , 102 towards the supporting structure 100 in the form of a first vertical member 10, wherein the first vertical member 10 is placed on the external wall 1 , a first horizontal member 20 is located and fixed on the top part of the first vertical member 10 and at least a second horizontal member 30 is located and fixed on the low part of the first vertical member 10.
[0021] An external wall 1 can have several members, a first vertical member 10, a first horizontal member 20 and / or second horizontal member 30 as found necessary. These members make it possible to split the construction both vertically and lengthwise, and still hold the construction together.
[0022] The first vertical member 10, the first horizontal member 20 and / or the second horizontal member 30 can be made of a suitable material, such as metals, polymers or wood.- The connecting interface 101 , 102 between the members 10, 20, 30 of the external wall 1 are mounted on protrusions of the supporting structure 100, in form of connecting elements (cantilevers), more specifically a first connecting element 101 and a second connecting element section 102. Here, the sinks in the rafters are secured by separating the load-bearing element from the connecting element of the fagade where the first vertical member 10 can be mounted to 102 or 10 in a sliding bracket.
[0023] The connecting element 101 can be split horizontally by repeating connecting element (cantilevered elements) and connecting with 1 .
[0024] The first connecting element 101 can also be cantilevered truss designated for a roof.
[0025] The first connecting element 101 and second connecting element 102 are intended to limit vertical and horizontal movement deriving from external forces affecting the external wall 1 . In effect, the first connecting element 101 and second connecting element 102 thus limit any vertical and any horizontal loads deriving from the external wall 1 .
[0026] As shown in figures 1 and 2, the weight of the external wall 1 rests on the second connecting element 102 when in contact with the second horizontal member 30 of the external wall 1 .
[0027] The first horizontal member 20 is placed adjacent underneath the first connecting element 101.
[0028] The first connecting element 101 can include a first part 101 a and a second part 101 b, so does the second connecting element 102, which can also include its own first part 102a and a second part 102b, wherein the first vertical member 10 is placed or sandwiched in between the respective first and second parts 101 a, 101 b, 102a, 102b. The first vertical member 10 can be snuggly fitted in between said parts 101 a, 101 b, 102a, 102b, thus limiting or arresting horizontal movements of the external wall 1 .
[0029] When mounting an external wall 1 to the supporting structure 100 should suffice to connect said items to each other by themselves. Alternatively, the external wall 1 and supporting structure 100 can be connected and or fixed to each other through being attached to the connecting elements 101 and 102 mechanically as found necessary.
[0030] The protruding length of the first- and second connecting element 101 , 102 from the supporting structure 100 also defines an empty space 200 between the external wall 1 and the supporting structure 100. Said space can be utilized for installing insulation materials to the supporting structure. By closing the empty space 200,or providing insulating materials in said space 200, the insulation is guaranteed. However, because the two structures don't touch; there is no thermal bridging.
[0031] The first and second connecting element 101 , 102 can be placed on predetermined spots on the supporting structure 100 as found necessary.
[0032] Preferably, the arrangement can provide for an approximately CO2 neutral construction in comparison to the prior art mentioned in the background section, where their fagade is intended to be mechanically connected to their supporting structure on the top- and bottom of their fagade.
[0033] Since the outer structures are only tension active, they can have significantly smaller dimensions and can therefore be designed more freely than a double wall construction. Nevertheless, compared to a curtain fagade, they both are a part of the static system.;
