Description

AEROSOL GENERATING ARTICLE AND SYSTEMThis application claims the benefit of priority to Chinese Patent Application No. 202411643008X, filed on November 15, 2024 with China National Intellectual Property Administration, and entitled “AEROSOL GENERATING ARTICLE AND SYSTEM” , the entire disclosure of which is incorporated herein by reference.TECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The present disclosure relates to the technical field of tobacco products, and more particularly, to an aerosol generating article and system.BACKGROUND

[0002] Aerosol generating articles, such as modern electronic cigarettes or heat not burn products, are gradually emerging as alternatives to traditional tobacco articles and are designed to provide users with a safer and cleaner smoking experience.

[0003] Traditional tobacco articles rely on combustion to produce aerosol, which are often accompanied with generation of large amounts of harmful substances. For example, burning tobacco may release a variety of harmful substances, such as, tar, carbon monoxide, and heavy metals, and the like, which pose a serious threat to human health. Therefore, there are obvious shortcomings in safety of an aerosol generating technology by means of combustion.

[0004] Heat Not Burn (HNB) , also known as low temperature cigarette, is a novel type of tobacco product that incorporates a heating appliance and a cartridge, which is designed with an idea of “only heating but not burning" and is exemplified as “low temperature cigarettes” . The low temperature cigarettes can heat processed reconstituted tobacco (such as, a special cartridge) utilizing a special heating device (such as, smoking paraphernalia) to a certain temperature and to such an extent that the reconstituted tobacco is heated sufficiently to emit smoke for consumption. The HNB has advantages in that it is more harmless and restores a pure taste and throat sensation of a cigarette, and can provide smokers with a nearest alternative to traditional cigarettes.

[0005] Aerosol generating systems associated with the HNB convert an aerosol generating material containing nicotine, a flavor and other ingredients into aerosol for users to inhale through different heating mechanisms. However, while these novel aerosol generating articles have made significant progress in reducing harmful substances, there are still many challenges to existing technologies. For example, some HNB systems heat the aerosol generating material by means of air heating or medium heating (such as, patches) , etc., these methods, however, often have problems of uneven heating and slow heating rate in practical applications. Uneven heating may lead to poor aerosol generating effect and affect user experience. Slow heating rate limits efficiency and speed of aerosol generation, which makes users have to wait longer to get desired aerosol.

[0006] In addition, the prior art has proposed that a capsule coated with propylene glycol / glycerol is used as an aerosol generating substrate. However, most of the related technologies only use the capsule as a part of an aerosol generating material. Some patents also refer to that a pure capsule is used directly as an aerosol generating material and placed in an aerosol generating substrate segment, where a single capsule is used and there is a need to address a problem of core material outflow after capsule rupture, for example, by absorbing the core material of the capsule using an absorbent pad. None of the relevant technical literature clearly proposes how to efficiently heat an aerosol generating capsule to improve release speed of aerosol, nor does it solve a series of technical problems when a capsule is directly used as an aerosol generating material.SUMMARY

[0007] Embodiments of the present disclosure can improve the speed of aerosol generation and reduce temperature of release by heat, while reducing generation of harmful substances.

[0008] The embodiments of the present disclosure provide an HNB product (also referred to as a heated tobacco product (HTP) , low-temperature cigarette product, or generically as a heated product) , namely an aerosol generating article. The aerosol generating article includes an aerosol generating substrate segment including an aerosol generating capsule and a susceptor, and the susceptor can generate heat under an action of an electromagnetic field to heat the aerosol generating capsule. The capsule is commonly known as seamless capsule and is typically spherical. As an aerosol generating material, the aerosol generating capsule has a lower temperature of release by heat, and thus can release smoke faster in a process of electromagnetic heating. At the same time, the aerosol generating capsule, as a sphere, can form a coherent void when filling, such that heat emitted by the susceptor can be transferred to each capsule more smoothly, to improve persistence and uniformity of aerosol release, and help to further reduce heating temperature.

[0009] According to some embodiments, the aerosol generating capsule includes a core material and a shell encapsulating the core material, and the core material is a colloid, a paste or a solid-liquid mixture. The core material in form of liquid has good fluidity, and is not easy to adhere to the shell of the capsule. If the core material is not a pure liquid or has certain viscosity, it is easier to adhere to the shell of the capsule even after being heated, which can effectively avoid the core material from flowing out from the aerosol generating article.

[0010] According to some embodiments, the aerosol generating capsule includes a core material and a shell encapsulating the core material, and the core material includes at least one of propylene glycol and glycerol. In some embodiments, the core material includes both propylene glycol and glycerol. Propylene glycol and glycerol are common aerosol generating agents, and a combination of the two can achieve a balance between rapid release and smoke effect, and achieve a purpose of releasing a sufficient amount of smoke at a low temperature.

[0011] According to some embodiments, the aerosol generating capsule includes a core material and a shell encapsulating the core material, and the shell has a thickness of 50 μm to 150 μm. A higher thickness of the shell may increase difficulty of the capsule to crack when heated, and reduce aerosol release rate. A lower thickness of the shell may cause that the capsule has an insufficient strength and is not easy to prepare and process.

[0012] According to some embodiments, the aerosol generating capsule has a particle size of 1 mm to 3 mm. In some embodiments, the aerosol generating capsule has a particle size of 1.5 mm to 2.5 mm. When amount of released smoke is designed to be the same, if the capsule has a too small particle size, then each capsule has a low amount of the core material, and thus, although uniformity of release may be improved, a reduced carrying capacity of an aerosol generating agent may also be caused, and at the same time, filling void volume fraction may also be reduced, which may both have an adverse effect on smoke release effect. Therefore, an appropriate particle size, especially a moderate particle size, can ensure a good smoking experience, and at the same time, can also avoid a problem of the core material of the capsule with a large particle size flowing out from the aerosol generating article.

[0013] According to some embodiments, the aerosol generating capsule has a filling amount of 0.05 g to 0.5 g. In some embodiments, the aerosol generating capsule has a filling amount of 0.1 g to 0.3 g. At a certain amount of released smoke, a higher filling amount may lead to a waste of material, and a lower filling amount may reduce persistence of aerosol generation, thus, a moderate filling amount can ensure a good smoking sensation.

[0014] According to some embodiments, the aerosol generating capsule has a filling amount of 5 capsules to 100 capsules. In some embodiments, the aerosol generating capsule has a filling amount of 15 capsules to 30 capsules. When amount of released smoke is designed to be the same, a lower number of the capsules may lead to too much core material per capsule, which can easily cause the core material to flow out from the aerosol generating article; a higher number of the capsules may lead to an increase in draw resistance, which will affect smoking experience; and at the same time, a moderate filling amount can also ensure a uniform aerosol release.

[0015] According to some embodiments, the aerosol generating substrate segment does not include other aerosol generating materials than the aerosol generating capsule. Since different aerosol generating materials have inconsistent temperatures of release by heat, the aerosol generating capsule can release at a lower temperature, and the temperature of release by heat can be thus further reduced. Use of a single type of aerosol generating material, such as, an aerosol generating capsule, can employ a lower temperature of release by heat while maintaining release speed, to save energy consumption and reduce a potential hazardous ingredient released at a high temperature.

[0016] According to some embodiments, the susceptor 107 has a thickness of 10 μm to 100 μm.An appropriate thickness of the susceptor can ensure good heating efficiency.

[0017] According to some embodiments, the susceptor is disposed at a center position in a radial direction of the aerosol generating substrate segment and extends in an axial direction. The susceptor is disposed at a central position, which can ensure effective thermal contact with more capsules, to achieve uniform heating from a center to a periphery, and improve uniformity of aerosol release.

[0018] According to some embodiments, the susceptor has a shape of pin, rod, sheet, hollow cylinder, or blade. A pin-, rod-, or sheet-shaped susceptor can be disposed at a center position of a tube of the aerosol generating article. A hollow cylindrical susceptor can be filled with the aerosol generating capsule both inside and outside, with a geometric center at a center position. A blade-shaped susceptor can transfer heat to a periphery more quickly, which can effectively improve heat transfer efficiency and heating uniformity.

[0019] According to some embodiments, the susceptor is made of a material including a metallic material. In some embodiments, the metallic material is stainless steel. The metallic material is a preferred material for an electromagnetic heating susceptor, and generally has good electrical and thermal conductivity.

[0020] According to some embodiments, the susceptor is made of a material including a non-metallic material and a metallic material layer connected to the non-metallic material. The non-metallic material can provide protection for the metallic material and improve stability of the article.

[0021] According to some embodiments, the aerosol generating substrate segment includes the susceptors. Arrangement and combination of the susceptors can also improve uniformity and efficiency of heating.

[0022] The embodiments of the present disclosure further provide an aerosol generating system. The aerosol generating system includes the aerosol generating article mentioned above and an electromagnetic heating device for heating the aerosol generating article. The aerosol generating substrate segment of the aerosol generating article is inserted into the electromagnetic heating device. The electromagnetic heating device generates a fluctuating electromagnetic field acting on the susceptor inside the aerosol generating substrate segment, such that the susceptor generates heat and heats the aerosol generating capsule through heat transfer.

[0023] According to some embodiments, the electromagnetic heating device has a heating power of 1 W to 8 W. The electromagnetic heating power can fluctuate within a certain range in consideration of requirements of heating efficiency and release uniformity, and can also be adjusted with a heating release stage in an actual heating process.

[0024] According to some embodiments, the fluctuating electromagnetic field has a frequency of 1 MHz to 30 MHz. An appropriate frequency can ensure sufficient heating efficiency.

[0025] Aerosol generating materials used in existing HNB products are mainly laminated tobacco, tobacco materials in form of granules and solid tobacco materials with designed structures, and have low speeds of release by heat even if an electromagnetic heating mode is adopted. In addition, a material close to a susceptor surrounds the susceptor when released by heat, which weakens heat transfer to a material far away from the susceptor, and it is thus difficult for a material at an edge to be released by heat, such that persistence of smoke is weak. In the embodiments of the present disclosure, an aerosol generating capsule is used as an aerosol generating material, which can reduce the temperature of release by heat, and can realize a faster aerosol release speed upon electromagnetically heating, good heat transfer performance, and better persistence of smoke. Compared with a traditional heating method for heating an aerosol generating capsule, electromagnetic heating can quickly heat a susceptor to a desired temperature, to quickly heat an aerosol generating capsule to generate aerosol, which can also significantly shorten preheating start time and improve the speed of aerosol generation.BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0026] FIG. 1 is a schematic view of an aerosol generating article according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0027] FIG. 2 is a schematic view of a susceptor in FIG. 1.

[0028] FIG. 3 is a schematic view of an aerosol generating system according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0029] As mentioned in the BACKGROUND, existing HNB aerosol generating systems heat aerosol generating materials, such as, laminated tobacco, tobacco materials in form of granules and solid tobacco materials with designed structures, mainly through heat transfer, which has defects of slow heating rate and easy to produce undesired harmful substances.

[0030] The embodiments of the present disclosure provide an aerosol generating article and system. The aerosol generating article includes an aerosol generating substrate segment including an aerosol generating capsule and a susceptor, and the susceptor may generate heat under an action of an electromagnetic field to heat the aerosol generating capsule.

[0031] In the embodiments of the present disclosure, the susceptor is provided to generate heat under the action of the electromagnetic field, to heat the aerosol generating capsule. Electromagnetic heating can rapidly heat the susceptor to a desired temperature, such that the aerosol generating capsule can be rapidly heated to generate aerosol. As a result, the preheating start time can be significantly shortened, and the speed of aerosol generation can be increased.

[0032] In order to make the above-mentioned purposes, features and beneficial effects of the present disclosure obvious and more understandable, specific embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

[0033] FIG. 1 is a schematic view of an aerosol generating article 10 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. FIG. 2 is a schematic view of a susceptor 107 in FIG. 1. FIG. 3 is a schematic view of an aerosol generating system according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0034] As shown in FIGs. 1 to 3, in some embodiments, the aerosol generating article 10 may include an aerosol generating substrate segment 101 including an aerosol generating capsule 104 and a susceptor 107, and the susceptor 107 may generate heat under an action of an electromagnetic field to heat the aerosol generating capsule 104.

[0035] Further, the aerosol generating capsule 104 filled in the aerosol generating substrate segment 101 is capable of bursting when heated and generating aerosol that can be inhaled by a user.

[0036] In a typical application scenario, when the aerosol generating capsule 104 is heated by an external heat source, volatile ingredients in the aerosol generating capsule 104 begin to be vaporized. These ingredients can include, for example, nicotine, flavors, glycerol, and the like, which gradually change from a solid or liquid state (or a state of solid-liquid mixture) to a gaseous state during heating. Further, vaporized volatile ingredients are cooled in air and condense into tiny particles which are components of aerosol. Formed aerosol particles are inhaled into a lung by a user through an action of smoking. During inhalation, the aerosol particles can be deposited in a respiratory tract and release active ingredients therein, such as nicotine, and the like.

[0037] In some embodiments, the aerosol generating capsule 104 includes a core material and a shell encapsulating the core material. The shells of the aerosol generating capsules 104 are capable of rupturing when temperature meets a certain condition, to release the core material and generate aerosol. A temperature of release by heat for the aerosol generating capsule is generally 180 ℃ to 300 ℃. In some other embodiments, the temperature of release by heat for the aerosol generating capsule may be 200 ℃ to 250 ℃. The temperature of release by heat for the aerosol generating capsule is related to a material and thickness of the shell of the aerosol generating capsule.

[0038] Further, the susceptor 107 is capable of generating heat under an action of a fluctuating electromagnetic field provided by an external device (e.g., in FIG. 3) . When the fluctuating electromagnetic field acts on the susceptor 107, the susceptor 107 is capable of heating up rapidly and heating the aerosol generating capsule 104 in contact with it by means of heat transfer. Thus, the aerosol generation process can be optimized and the speed of release by heat can be increased.

[0039] In some embodiments, the core material of the aerosol generating capsule 104 is a liquid.

[0040] In some embodiments, the core material of the aerosol generating capsule 104 is a paste, a colloid, or a solid-liquid mixture.

[0041] In some embodiments, the core material may include a hydrophilic liquid formulation. The hydrophilic liquid formulation contains an aerosol generating substance releasable by heat. The aerosol generating substance includes propylene glycol and glycerol. The shell includes a gelling agent. The gelling agent is at least one selected from a group consisting of animal gel, vegetable gel, microbial gel, starch and modified starch. The aerosol generating capsule 104 includes only one shell.

[0042] In some specific embodiments, the hydrophilic liquid formulation is water or a liquid formulation that can be uniformly dispersed in water molecules to form a solution, and specifically, may be for example, ethanol, glycerol, or propylene glycol, or the like.

[0043] In some specific embodiments, the hydrophilic liquid formulation accounts for 5 wt%to 60wt%of a weight of the core material. In some specific embodiments, the hydrophilic liquid formulation accounts for 15 wt%to 50 wt%of a weight of the core material. In some specific embodiments, the hydrophilic liquid formulation accounts for 25 wt%to 45 wt%, and specifically, may accounts for, for example, 25 wt%, 30 wt%, 35 wt%, 40 wt%, or 45wt%, or the like, of a weight of the core material.

[0044] In some specific embodiments, propylene glycol and glycerol account for above 80 wt%of a total weight of the hydrophilic liquid formulation. In some specific embodiments, propylene glycol and glycerol account for above 85 wt%of a total weight of the hydrophilic liquid formulation. In some specific embodiments, propylene glycol and glycerol account for above 90 wt%of a total weight of the hydrophilic liquid formulation. In some specific embodiments, propylene glycol and glycerol account for above 95 wt%of a total weight of the hydrophilic liquid formulation. In some specific embodiments, propylene glycol and glycerol account for 100 wt%of a total weight of the hydrophilic liquid formulation.

[0045] In some specific embodiments, the core material of the aerosol generating capsule 104 further contains 0.1 wt to 20 wt%of a flavor, an extract, nicotine and / or nicotine salt. The extract may be an animal extract, or a plant extract, such as, musk, ambergris, a tea extract, or a fructus momordicae extract, or the like.

[0046] In some specific embodiments, the core material of the aerosol generating capsule 104 further contains a lipophilic formulation and a structuring agent. The structuring agent includes cellulose and / or cellulose derivatives, a low molecular weight lipid and a surfactant. The core material is a paste, a colloid or a solid-liquid mixture. Combination of cellulose and / or cellulose derivatives and the low molecular weight lipid is conducive to forming a network structure beneficial to dispersion and fixation of propylene glycol and glycerol in the lipophilic formulation. The surfactant is conducive to forming an oil film between the core material and the shell layer, thereby helping to realize the shell encapsulating the core material. The core material formed by propylene glycol and glycerol, the lipophilic formulation and the structuring agent is a paste, a colloid or a solid-liquid mixture at room temperature (25 ℃) , which is conducive to realizing the shell stably encapsulating the core material.

[0047] It should be clear that use of the lipophilic formulation and the structuring agent in the core material is only a means of encapsulating propylene glycol and glycerol. In order to encapsulate propylene glycol and glycerol, known encapsulating methods in the prior art, such as, photocuring dropping methods, coating rounding methods, frozen coating methods, coagulation methods, and the like may be applied.

[0048] In some embodiments, the shell has a thickness of 50 μm to 150 μm.

[0049] In consideration of influence of the thickness of the shell on a strength and aerosol release amount of the aerosol generating capsule 104, in some specific embodiments, the thickness of the shell is 50 μm to 150 μm, and specifically, for example, may be 50 μm, 60 μm, 70 μm, 80 μm, 90 μm, 100 μm, 110 μm, 120 μm, 130 μm, 140 μm, or 150 μm, or the like. Thus, structural stability and heating efficiency of the aerosol generating capsule 104 can be ensured, but also high-quality aerosol can be generated. At the same time, this range also provides some flexibility to allow fine-tuning according to different compositions of the core material, heating conditions and product requirements.

[0050] In consideration of the release effect of aerosol, in some specific embodiments, the aerosol generating capsule 104 has a particle size of 1 mm to 3 mm. Specifically, the particle size may be, for example, 1 mm, 1.5 mm, 2 mm, 2.5 mm, or 3mm, or the like.

[0051] In some embodiments, the particle size of the aerosol generating capsule 104 is 1.5 mm to 2.5 mm.

[0052] In one specific embodiment, the particle size of at least one of the aerosol generating capsules 104 is different from those of the other aerosol generating capsules 104.

[0053] In consideration of user's single use time (e.g., characterized by the number of inhalable times) of the aerosol generating article 10, in some specific embodiments, the aerosol generating capsule 104 has a filling amount of 0.05 g to 0.5 g. Specifically, the filling amount may be, for example, 0.05 g, 0.1 g, 0.15 g, 0.2 g, 0.25 g, 0.3 g, 0.35 g, 0.4 g, 0.45 g, or 0.5 g, or the like.

[0054] In some embodiments, the filling amount of the aerosol generating capsule 104 is 0.1 g to 0.3 g.

[0055] In some specific embodiments, the aerosol generating capsule 104 has a filling amount of 5 capsules to 100 capsules. Specifically, the filling amount may be, for example, 5 capsules, 10 capsules, 15 capsules, 20 capsules, 25 capsules, 30 capsules, 35 capsules, 40 capsules, 45 capsules, 50 capsules, 60 capsules, 70 capsules, 80 capsules, or 90 capsules, or the like.

[0056] In some embodiments, the filling amount of the aerosol generating capsule 104 is 15 capsules to 30 capsules.

[0057] In some embodiments, the aerosol generating substrate segment 101 does not include other aerosol generating materials than the aerosol generating capsule 104.

[0058] From the above, through reasonable design of the shell thickness, particle size and filling amount of the aerosol generating capsule 104, the heating efficiency, external size and single use time can be taken into account at the same time, performance of the aerosol generating system can be optimized, and user experience can be improved.

[0059] The aerosol generating capsule 104 according to the embodiments of the present disclosure can be prepared by various methods, such as, the following method, and the like.

[0060] 40 weight parts of sunflower seed oil was heated to 100 ℃, and then, 7.1 weight parts of ethyl cellulose, 1.4 weight parts of beeswax, and 2.1 weight parts of palm wax were added therein while stirring, dissolved, and mixed well. Thereafter, the mixture was cooled to 60 ℃, and 24 weight parts of propylene glycol, 16 weight parts of glycerol, 2.4 weight parts of surfactant (prepared by Tween 80 and glycerol monooleate in a weight ratio of 1: 9) , 5 weight parts of mango flavor, and 2 weight parts of nicotine salt were added therein and stirred well, to complete preparation of the core material.

[0061] 5 weight parts of carrageenan and 3 weight parts of gellan gum were put into 82 weight parts of purified water, and heated at a temperature of 60 ℃ to 90 ℃ while stirring, to form a uniform solution. And then, 10 weight parts of glycerol was added and stirred well, to prepare a shell liquid.

[0062] The core material (inner layer) and the shell liquid were dropped into a liquid coolant (MCT) through a concentric dropper at a temperature controlled at 10 ℃ to 25 ℃, to form a wet capsule. Then, the wet capsule was stored at -10 ℃ to 10 ℃ for 10 hours, and dried at 20 ℃ to 30 ℃ and 20%to 50%humidity, to prepare a capsule article with a particle size of 2 mm and a shell thickness of 70 μm.

[0063] Please refer to FIG. 2, in some embodiments, values of a thickness of the susceptor 107 may be between 10 μm to 100 μm, and specifically, may be, for example, 10 μm, 25 μm, 50 μm, 75 μm, 100 μm, and the like.

[0064] In practical applications, a specific value of the thickness of the susceptor 107 can be determined according to actual situation. The thickness of the susceptor 107 may affect its heating efficiency and response time. For example, if the thickness of the susceptor 107 is too thin, the susceptor 107 may not efficiently generate enough heat to continuously heat the aerosol generating capsule 104; and, if the thickness of the susceptor 107 is too thick, although heat storage capacity may be improved, a slower heating rate and a longer response time may also be caused.

[0065] In some embodiments, the susceptor 107 is disposed at a center position in a radial direction of the aerosol generating substrate segment 101 and extends in an axial direction. As a result, it can be ensured that heat generated by the susceptor 107 is evenly transferred to surrounding aerosol generating capsules 104 to realize uniform heating.

[0066] Further, the susceptor 107 extends in an axial direction of the aerosol generating substrate segment 101, which can ensure that the entire substrate segment 101 is efficiently heated.

[0067] In some embodiments, the susceptor 107 may have a shape of pin, rod, sheet, hollow cylinder, or blade.

[0068] In one specific embodiment, as shown in the first example in FIG. 2, a sectional shape of the susceptor 107 may be presented as a "beeline" shape. As a result, the susceptor 107 is simpler in structure and easier to produce, and can be adapted for and accommodated in aerosol generating substrate segments101 of different sizes.

[0069] In one specific embodiment, as shown in the second example in FIG. 2, a sectional shape of the susceptor 107 may be presented as a "S" shape, that is, a sheet-shaped susceptor 107 extends flexibly. As a result, a heat transfer area of the susceptor 107 is significantly increased, which further improves uniformity and efficiency in heating the aerosol generating capsule 104.

[0070] In one specific embodiment, as shown in the third example in FIG. 2, a sectional shape of the susceptor 107 may be presented as a "V" shape, that is, a sheet-shaped susceptor 107 bends in a plane perpendicular to an extension direction, and an angle of the V shape can be adjusted according to actual demands. As a result, a processing process of the susceptor 107 can be simplified while the heat transfer area of the susceptor 107 is increased. For example, a V-shaped susceptor 107 as shown in the third example in FIG. 2 can be formed by a simple bend.

[0071] In one specific embodiment, as shown in the fourth example in FIG. 2, a sectional shape of the susceptor 107 may also be presented as a radial shape, also referred to as a blade shape. That is, the susceptor 107 may include extension plates, one side of which is connected and opposite sides of which are separated from each other. For example, the sectional shape of the susceptor 107 may presented as a cross shape, a star shape, and the like. And, the number of the extension plates is not less than three. As a result, the heat transfer area of the susceptor 107 is further increased, while internal space of the aerosol generating substrate segment 101 can be reasonably divided to make the design of the aerosol generating capsule 104 more reasonable, and heat transfer efficiency can be improved, filling void volume fraction of the aerosol generating capsule can be increased, and draw resistance can be reduced.

[0072] In some embodiments, the susceptor 107 is made of a material including a metallic material. Thus, in the aerosol generating article 10, the susceptor 107 including the metallic material as a heating element can effectively convert electromagnetic energy into heat energy, and transfer heat to the aerosol generating capsule 104, to generate aerosol.

[0073] In one embodiment, the metallic material is stainless steel. As a result, it is possible to ensure that stable performance of the susceptor 107 is maintained in the aerosol generating article 10.

[0074] In some embodiments, the susceptor 107 is made of a material including a non-metallic material and a metallic material layer connected to the non-metallic material. The non-metallic material is mainly used to provide protection for the metallic material.

[0075] Please refer to FIG. 3, the embodiments of the present disclosure further provide an aerosol generating system. The aerosol generating system includes the aerosol generating article 10 as shown in FIGs. 1 and 2 and an electromagnetic heating device QE for heating the aerosol generating article 10. The aerosol generating substrate segment 101 of the aerosol generating article 10 is inserted into the electromagnetic heating device QE. The electromagnetic heating device QE generates a fluctuating electromagnetic field acting on the susceptor 107 inside the aerosol generating substrate segment 101, such that the susceptor generates heat and heats the aerosol generating capsule 104 through heat transfer.

[0076] Specifically, the electromagnetic heating device QE may be designed by prior art, and generally include an electromagnetic heating chamber QE1 and a power supply and control module QE2. The electromagnetic heating chamber QE1 has a built-in electromagnetic field generating coil for generating a fluctuating electromagnetic field, and has a heating hole for receiving the aerosol generating article 10.

[0077] In some embodiments, the heating hole may have an aperture and a depth that are adapted to the aerosol generating substrate segment 101. When the aerosol generating article 10 is heated, the aerosol generating substrate segment 101 of the aerosol generating article 10 can be inserted into the heating hole and heated.

[0078] In some embodiments, other segments of the aerosol generating article 10 than the aerosol generating substrate segment 101 are disposed outside the heating hole, such that materials of the other segments are avoided from being heated to produce undesired harmful substances or undesirable odors that affect user's health and sense of experience.

[0079] In some embodiments, the electromagnetic heating device QE has a heating power of 1 W to 8 W. Thus, it is possible to ensure that the aerosol generating capsule 104 is quickly heated and ruptures to timely meet user's needs.

[0080] In some embodiments, the fluctuating electromagnetic field has a frequency between 1 MHz and 30 MHz. Thus, heating efficiency of the electromagnetic heating device QE can be ensured, and generation rate of aerosol can be improved, preheating time can be shortened, and safety of use of the electromagnetic heating device QE can be ensured.

[0081] It should be understood that the term "and / or" used herein is only an association that describes associated objects, and indicates that there can be three types of relationships. For example, A and / or B can be denoted as: A alone, A and B at the same time, and B alone. In addition, the character " / " used herein indicates that related objects before and after is an "or" relationship. As used herein, unless expressly stated otherwise, the term "or" covers all possible combinations, except where infeasible. For example, if it is stated that a part may include A or B, then, unless expressly stated otherwise or infeasible, the part may include A, or B, or A and B. As a second example, if it is stated that a part may include A, B or C, then, unless expressly stated otherwise or infeasible, the part may include A, or B, or C, or A and B, or A and C, or B and C, or A and B and C. The "plurality" in the embodiments of the present disclosure refers to two or more.

[0082] Relational terms used in the embodiments of the present disclosure, such as, first, second, etc., are used only to distinguish an entity or operation from another entity or operation, without requiring or implying any actual relationship or sequence between those entities or operations. In addition, the words "including" , "having" and "containing" and other similar forms are intended to be equivalent in meaning and be open-ended, and item or items following any one of these words is not meant to be an exhaustive listing of such item or items, or to be limited to only the listed item or items. In the drawings and specification, exemplary embodiments have been disclosed. However, many changes and modifications can be made to these embodiments. Therefore, although specific terms are employed, they are used only in a generic and descriptive sense and not for a purpose of limitation.

[0083] Although the present disclosure is disclosed as above, the present disclosure is not limited hereto. Various changes and modifications may be made by those skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the present disclosure. Therefore, the scope of protection of the present disclosure shall be subject to the scope limited by the claims.
