Description

Composition for preventing or improving hair loss

[0001] The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or improving hair loss.

[0002] Generally, genetic factors are known to be the primary cause of hair loss, but recently, the number of people experiencing hair loss symptoms is gradually increasing due to increased social stress, environmental pollution, Westernized dietary habits such as instant foods, and frequent perms and dyeing.

[0003] More specifically, hair is maintained by repeating cycles of growth, regression, and resting phases, involving repeated regrowth and shedding. These phases are classified into the growth phase, during which hair grows; the regression phase, during which growth ceases and the hair bulb shrinks; the resting phase, during which the hair papilla stops functioning and the hair remains on the scalp; and the growth phase, during which the hair papilla begins functioning or generates new hair to shed old hair.

[0004] The hair growth phase lasts for about 3 to 5 years for men and 4 to 6 years for women, after which the regression phase lasts for about 30 to 45 days and the resting phase lasts for about 3 to 4 months, after which hair loss naturally progresses, and at the end of the resting phase, the growth phase in which new hair is produced begins.

[0005] Hair is formed in hair follicles, and there are about 5 million hair follicles in an adult, distributed throughout the body except for the palms and soles of the feet, with about 1 million existing on the head, of which 100,000 are located on the scalp.

[0006] More specifically, hair follicles contain an olfactory cell receptor called OR2AT4, which is known to extend the growth phase of hair follicle cells through the activation of the IGF-1 protein.

[0007] Therefore, recently, the technology disclosed in Patent Document 1 has been proposed as a technology to solve the above problem.

[0008] Referring to the above patent document 1, the contents regarding a cosmetic composition for skin improvement, a cosmetic composition for hair loss improvement, and a quasi-drug composition including the fusion protein in which IGF-1 is bound to a peptide for promoting skin penetration are disclosed.

[0009] However, the technology of the aforementioned patent document 1 involves the inconvenience of having to select a peptide for skin penetration promotion to produce insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1), produce a fusion protein to which the selected peptide is bound, and then additionally combine multiple raw materials suitable for a cosmetic composition, and requires IGF-1 to be absorbed by contacting it directly with the skin, which increases manufacturing costs and time, and causes inconvenience for consumers to use.

[0010] In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides a composition for preventing or improving hair loss that is easy for consumers to use, by exposing a composition containing sandal pentanol to the air so that the component diffused into the air comes into contact with the hair follicle, and by activating the IGF-1 protein which binds to OR2AT4 (Olfactory receptor 2AT4), an olfactory cell receptor of the hair follicle, thereby extending the growth phase of the hair follicle cell, thereby reducing the manufacturing time and cost and eliminating the need to apply the hair loss prevention or hair loss improvement component directly to the scalp.

[0011] The present invention aims to solve the aforementioned problems and provides a composition for preventing or improving hair loss.

[0015] In addition, the present invention provides a composition for preventing or improving hair loss, characterized in that the protein that extends the growth phase of the cell is an IGF-1 protein.

[0016] In addition, the present invention provides that the composition for preventing or improving hair loss is,

[0017] Based on 100 parts by weight of the above composition for preventing or improving hair loss,

[0018] 70 to 95 parts by weight of alcohol;

[0019] 1 to 30 parts by weight of a functional raw material; and

[0020] A composition for preventing or improving hair loss is provided, characterized by containing 4 to 29 parts by weight of fragrance.

[0037]

[0038] FIG. 1 is an image showing the mechanism of action of a hair loss alleviation diffuser prepared with a composition for preventing or improving hair loss according to the present invention.

[0039]

[0040] The present invention comprises sandal pentanol as an active ingredient, and

[0041] A composition for preventing or improving hair loss can be provided by diffusing the above-mentioned sandal pentanol into the air to induce contact with hair follicles on the surface of the human scalp, thereby activating a protein that binds to OR2AT4 (Olfactory receptor 2AT4), an olfactory cell receptor of the hair follicle, and extends the growth phase of hair follicle cells.

[0042] In addition, the above composition for preventing or improving hair loss can be applied to an electric diffuser or room spray that sprays fragrance into a space by being coupled to an electric or non-electric device.

[0043]

[0044] The term "Sandal Pentanol" in this specification should be understood to have the same meaning as "CAS Number: 65113-99-7" assigned by the American Chemical Society, unless specifically explained below.

[0045] Here, the protein that extends the growth phase of the cell may mean "IGF-1 protein".

[0046] More specifically, the above-mentioned olfactory cell receptors are expressed by various cell types throughout the body and may mean regulating physiological cell functions beyond olfaction.

[0047] In particular, the above olfactory receptor stimulates the proliferation of keratinocytes in the skin, and the outer root sheath, such as the epithelium of the hair follicle, expresses the above olfactory cell receptor, and specific stimulation of the above olfactory cell receptor by sandalpentanol can reduce apoptosis and activate the IGF-1 protein, which extends the growth phase of hair follicle cells.

[0048]

[0049] [Preparation of a diffuser composition for hair loss relief]

[0050] The above composition for preventing or improving hair loss comprises, based on 100 parts by weight of the composition for preventing or improving hair loss, 70 to 95 parts by weight of alcohol, 1 to 30 parts by weight of a functional ingredient, and 4 to 29 parts by weight of a fragrance.

[0051] The above alcohol comprises one or more selected from the group consisting of dipropylene glycol methylether and 3-methoxy-3-methyl-1-butanol.

[0052] The above functional ingredient includes 3-methyl-5-(2,2,3-trimethylcyclopent-3-en-1-yl)pentan-2-ol (Sandal Pentanol).

[0053] The above fragrance includes one or more selected from the group consisting of aroma oil, bergamot, neroli, jasmine, rosewood, grapefruit, sweet orange, lemon, frankincense, melissa, lavender, rosemary, and sandalwood.

[0054] At this time, the fragrance may be added in an amount of 4 to 29 parts by weight to the mixture of the alcohol and the functional raw material, and may be mixed in various ways according to the purpose of use without limiting the number of the fragrances described above.

[0055] In addition, the above fragrance may include various aroma oils having effects such as promoting restful sleep, boosting vitality, relieving stress, and improving memory and concentration, fragrance oils for imparting an emotional scent, or functional oils with deodorizing properties, and may be used as natural oils, fragrance oils, and synthetic oils as raw materials.

[0056] More specifically, the above composition for preventing or improving hair loss can be prepared by placing the above alcohol, the above functional raw material, and the fragrance into a container, stirring, and leaving it for at least 72 hours to undergo an aging and stabilization process.

[0057] Afterwards, the above composition for preventing or improving hair loss can be dispensed into an empty bottle and placed in a lid made of fiber or wood for use.

[0058]

[0059] Referring to FIG. 1, a hair loss alleviation diffuser prepared with the above composition for preventing or improving hair loss provides the effect of alleviating hair loss symptoms by activating the olfactory cell receptor (OR2AT4) present on the surface of the hair follicle of the human scalp and simultaneously activating the intracellular biological signal response by activating the olfactory cell receptor (OR2AT4) when the sandalpentanol contained in the diffuser solution is diffused into the air and the diffused sandalpentanol particles come into contact with the olfactory cell receptor (OR2AT4) present on the surface of the hair follicle of the human scalp.

[0060]

[0061] The present invention will be explained in more detail below through experimental methods. However, these experimental examples are intended to illustrate the present invention, and the scope of the present invention is not limited to these experimental examples.

[0062]

[0063] [Experimental Method]

[0064] [Experimental Example 1]

[0065] Hair growth efficacy was evaluated by analyzing the cell proliferation activity of human keratinocytes (HaCaT), which are constituent cells of hair, using a diffuser composition containing the composition for preventing or improving hair loss according to the present invention.

[0066] More specifically, human keratinocytes (HaCaT) were placed in RPMI medium containing 10% fetal bovine serum (FBS) at a concentration of 1 x 10 4 Prepare by inoculating 8 wells of a 24-well plate with a cell count of 8 cells / mL.

[0067] The inoculated plate is cultured for 24 hours at 37°C under 5% CO2 humid conditions. Afterward, it is replaced with fresh RPMI medium. The remaining wells of the plate are filled with 1 mL of a diffuser composition for hair loss relief per well.

[0068] For the negative control group, a separate negative control plate is prepared by using a diffuser composition that does not contain sandalpentanol and consists entirely of the same composition, filling the remaining wells inoculated with cells with 1 mL per well, and culturing under the same conditions as the positive control group.

[0069] Additionally, after culturing for 72 hours, 5 mg / mL of MTT [3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide] reagent is added to the culture medium, and the mixture is incubated for 4 hours at 37°C under 5% CO2 humid conditions. Dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) is added to dissolve the purple crystals, formazan. The mixture is thoroughly mixed to ensure there is no precipitate, and the absorbance at 560 nm is measured using a microplate reader. The degree of cell growth is determined by correcting for the negative control value.

[0070]

[0071] Meanwhile, compared to the case where the sandalpentanol is directly mixed into the culture medium of the human keratinocytes, cell growth is not effectively promoted. This is because the interior of the cell culture medium is already saturated with water to prevent drying, making further diffusion of the diffuser solution difficult. Furthermore, since the cells are placed in the culture medium, it is difficult for sandalpentanol from the air to penetrate the medium and be delivered to the cells. Consequently, it is difficult to prove the hair loss alleviation effect by diffusing the hair loss prevention or hair loss improvement composition into the air through in vitro experiments.

[0072] Accordingly, the composition for preventing or improving hair loss according to the present invention was confirmed to have an effect on preventing or improving hair loss through Experimental Example 2 described below.

[0073]

[0074] [Experimental Example 2]

[0075] The hair loss alleviation effect was evaluated on two men aged 45 to 50 who were experiencing temporary hair loss symptoms using a diffuser composition containing a hair loss prevention or hair loss improvement composition according to the present invention.

[0076] 30.3 m containing a diffuser composition and reeds containing the above composition for preventing or improving hair loss 2 The hair loss inhibition effect was confirmed by leaving the device in a closed space for 30 days and allowing the diffuser composition to diffuse into the air for 20 minutes to 8 hours or more per day, thereby exposing the human body to it, and by collecting the fallen hair while shampooing in the morning at intervals of 3 to 4 days and checking the number of hairs.

[0077]

[0078] Figure 2 is a graph showing the effect of a hair loss relief diffuser made with a composition for preventing or improving hair loss according to the present invention.

[0079] Referring to Figure 2 above, a hair loss alleviation diffuser prepared with the composition for preventing or improving hair loss, each containing 0 parts by weight, 5 parts by weight, and 10 parts by weight of sandalpentanol, was exposed to the scalp in an internal space for 8 hours or more, and then the hair loss alleviation effect was confirmed.

[0080]

[0081] Figure 3 is a graph showing the effect after exposing a hair loss relief diffuser, prepared with a composition for preventing or improving hair loss containing 10% sandalpentanol according to the present invention, to an internal space for 20 minutes or more.

[0082] Referring to Figure 3 above, when the scalp was exposed to a diffuser composition containing 10 parts by weight of sandalpentanol for more than 20 minutes a day, it was confirmed that the hair loss alleviation effect of 10% sandalpentanol appeared starting from the 24th day, and as time continued, the hair loss alleviation effect increased, and it was confirmed that hair loss was inhibited up to 29% on the 30th day.

[0083]

[0084] Figure 4 is a graph showing the human keratinocyte proliferation effect of a hair loss alleviation diffuser prepared with a hair loss prevention or hair loss improvement composition according to the present invention.

[0085] Referring to Figure 4 above, in the case of 0 parts by weight of sandalpentanol, there was no effect on human keratinocyte proliferation, and in the case of the composition containing 5 parts by weight of sandalpentanol and the composition containing 10% of sandalpentanol, the sandalpentanol diffused into the space of the plate diffused to the wells of the plate to which human keratinocytes (HaCaT) were attached and promoted the growth of human keratinocytes in a concentration-dependent manner.

[0086]

[0087] FIG. 5 is a graph showing the hair loss alleviation effect of a shampoo composition, shampoo bar composition, hair tonic composition, and solid fragrance prepared from a composition for preventing or improving hair loss according to the present invention.

[0088]

[0089] Referring to Figure 5 above, when a shampoo, shampoo bar, hair tonic, and solid fragrance prepared with the composition for preventing or improving hair loss according to the present invention were used on two men aged 45 to 50 who were experiencing temporary hair loss symptoms, it was confirmed that the hair loss inhibition effect was less than 5%.

[0090]
