[0001] DESCRIPTION
[0002] Hotel Room Bistro System
[0003] TECHNICAL FIELD
[0004] The invention relates to a hotel room bistro system that enables the sale of food, beverages, tobacco and cosmetic products in the hotel room, is made of metal, hard plastic or fiber body, has software that enables communication with the reception, and has a wired or wireless internet connection.
[0005] PRIOR ART
[0006] Today, a feature that everyone who stays in hotels is familiar with is the mini refrigerators in the rooms. Initially used as a simple cooling device, these small refrigerators have become a part of hotel services over time and have become an element that makes the guest's accommodation experience more practical and comfortable. This system, known as the mini bar, aims to offer much more than just cooling drinks. The introduction of mini bars in hotel rooms have shown a parallel development, especially with the increase in the variety of services offered by hotels. Gradually, minibars began to offer a variety of items, not just cooled drinks, but also snacks, appetizers, and sometimes luxury products. These devices, which have evolved over the years from a simple cooling unit to a mini bar system that provides additional comfort to guests in the hotel room, have been shaped according to the evolving needs of the hotel industry and have been enriched with more diverse products every year. The need for minibars that provide fast and practical service and that hotel guests can instantly access has become an integral part of hotel accommodation over time. However, there are many problems with minibars in hotel rooms that do not comply with today's modern service concept. First of all, minibars offer only a few types of drinks and there are no additional features other than these drinks. This has made the minibar an outdated service and has become tiring for both hotel management and customers, as hotel guests today expect more comprehensive and diverse services. In addition, since minibars offer only a limited selection of drinks and food options are almost non-existent, it is inevitable that hotel guests will be dissatisfied with the quality of service. Customers can only find drinks in the minibar, which deprives them of the comfort and variety they seek during their hotel stay.
[0007] Another problem is the uncertainty experienced by hotel guests about whether to buy drinks or not because they do not know the prices of the drinks in the minibar. The uncertainty of the prices causes customers to hesitate to use the minibar and sometimes avoid using the service. In addition, the absence of snacks, such as biscuits or cold sandwiches, in the minibar negatively affects customer satisfaction due to insufficient variety. The limited variety of choices is a major disadvantage, especially for guests who are late at night or need small snacks.
[0008] Minibars also pose a major problem for hotel management. Hotel management avoids asking customers about their minibar consumption when they check out, but when they do not ask, they have difficulty tracking the consumption of the minibar. In this case, hotel staff may lose the products consumed from the minibar, which means financial loss for the hotel. Hotel management is forced to ask the customer whether the minibar has been consumed; however, this may cause embarrassment in relations with the customer. If the customer indicates that there is consumption, the hotel staff asks the housekeeper to count the minibar in the room, and this process causes the customer to wait while leaving the room. Until the hotel minibar is counted, the customer may feel like they have committed a crime and are taken hostage. This process strains the relationship between the hotel management and the customer and reduces the quality of service. In short, these problems arising from minibars in hotel rooms have become a major source of dissatisfaction for both hotel management and customers, and this makes it difficult for hotel businesses to comply with the contemporary service approach.
[0009] As a result of the research conducted in the literature, a Turkey patent application with the application number "2019 / 15731" and the invention title "INVERTER MINIBAR" was found. The said application relates to the inverter minibar, which is based on the principle of working at certain speeds according to the need. However, no evidence has been found of a hotel room bistro system that would allow the sale of food, beverages, tobacco and cosmetic products within the hotel room, that would be made of metal, hard plastic or fiberglass, that would have software enabling communication with the reception, and that would have a wired or wireless internet connection.
[0010] As a result, the problems mentioned above, which cannot be solved in the light of the present technique, have made it necessary to make an innovation in the relevant technical field.
[0011] BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0012] The present invention relates to a hotel room bistro system to eliminate the above-mentioned disadvantages and bring new advantages to the relevant technical field. The main purpose of the invention is to enable the sale of food, beverages, tobacco and cosmetic products within the hotel room by communicating with the reception.
