Abstract

The present invention relates to a rolling element for a rolling bearing, and a rolling bearing. The present invention provides a rolling element (30) for a rolling bearing, comprising: a first circular arc rolling surface (31) and a second circular arc rolling surface (32), wherein the first circular arc rolling surface (31) and the second circular arc rolling surface (32) are configured to be tangent to each other, a line (L30) connecting the center (C31) of the first circular arc rolling surface (31) and the center (C32) of the second circular arc rolling surface (32) passes through a point of tangency (P30) of the first circular arc rolling surface (31) and the second circular arc rolling surface (32), the line (L30) is perpendicular to the axis of rotation (A30) of the rolling element (30), and when viewed in an axial cross section, the radius (R31) of the first circular arc rolling surface (31) is not equal to the radius (R32) of the second circular arc rolling surface (32).
