Distributed computing system, node device, and method for switching optical network

Abstract

Provided is a distributed computing system that includes a plurality of nodes and a plurality of optical networks. Each node includes a plurality of optical SWs, a plurality of optical TRxs, a data processing unit, and an NW control unit. Each optical SW has a first port that is connected to an optical TRx, and a plurality of second ports to which a plurality of optical paths are connected, said optical paths being respectively connected to the plurality of optical networks, and each optical SW being capable of switching which of the second ports to which the first port is to be connected. The NW control unit of each node simultaneously switches the connection states of the plurality of optical SWs upon completion of the collective communication that is currently being performed.
