Stomach-retentive gel composition for alcohol sequestration and alcohol detoxification, method for preparing same, and use thereof

Abstract

The present disclosure relates to the field of alcohol detoxification substance technology, and in particular, to a stomach-retentive gel composition for alcohol sequestration and alcohol detoxification, a method for preparing same, and use thereof. The raw materials of the stomach-retentive gel composition are selected from a carboxymethyl fiber-based raw material, an alginate raw material, a probiotic capable of converting alcohol or a fermentation product thereof, and a calcium source. Moreover, the mass relationship between the components in the raw materials satisfies: W1 = m2 / (m1 + m2) × 100%, and 13% ≤ W1 ≤ 25%; W2 = m3 / (m1 + m2 + m3) × 100%, and W2 ≥ 5%; f = m4 / m5, and 0.2 ≤ f ≤ 1.5. The gel composition can not only adsorb a large amount of alcohol in the stomach and reduce the amount of alcohol entering the blood, but also convert alcohol into acetic acid. The acetic acid is finally metabolized into carbon dioxide and water by the human body.
