Running board for road vehicle

Abstract

A running board for road vehicle is configured to be mounted on the left and / or right side of a commercial vehicle behind the cab; the running board for road vehicle as seen in this document is positioned on the left side of the vehicle as seen from the driver’s seat; however, a mirror image of the present design disclosed herein may be positioned on the right side of the vehicle as seen from the driver’s seat; the running board for road vehicle is a part configured to enable a driver or other person to climb up to a catwalk arranged behind the cab; the running board for road vehicle may be folded upward in a storage position during driving, and folded downward in a use position when the step is going to be climbed; in the pictures, the running board for road vehicle is positioned in the use position; a complete running board for road vehicle consists of at least two parts - the fold out step assembly and a bracket assembly configured to enable mounting and moving the fold up step assembly between the storage position and the use position.
