Abstract
Claims
1. A mobile lighting system comprising:an elevation apparatus and an actuation mechanism located at the end thereof;a lighting frame comprising a frame body and a mounting portion connecting the frame body to the actuation mechanism; anda plurality of lighting units coupled to the frame body, wherein the actuation mechanism is configured to change at least a tilt and swivel of the lighting frame.
2. The system of claim 1, wherein the mounting portion is coupled directly to a swivel actuator and / or a tilt actuator of the actuation mechanism.
3. The system of claim 1 or claim 2, wherein the frame body and mounting portion are removably connected.
4. The system of claim 1 or claim 2, wherein the frame body and mounting portion are unitarily connected.
5. The system of any one of the preceding claims, wherein at least a tilt and swivel of each lighting unit of the plurality of lighting units is individually adjustable relative the frame body.
6. The system of any one of the preceding claims, further comprising a controller configured to control the plurality of lighting units, the elevation apparatus and / or the actuation mechanism.
7. The system of claim 6, wherein the controller is configured to control the elevation apparatus to adjust an elevation of the lighting frame and / or control the actuation mechanism to adjust a tilt and swivel of the lighting frame.2024278630 19 Dec 20248. The system of claim 6 or claim 7, wherein the controller comprises a wireless remote and / or control panel.
9. The system of any one of claims 6 to 8, wherein the controller comprises a wind speed monitoring arrangement configured to monitor wind speed and upon detection of a threshold wind speed:emit a visual and / or audible alarm, and / or retract the elevation apparatus to a safety height.
10. The system of claim 9, wherein the controller is controllable to adjust and set the threshold wind speed and the safety height.
11. The system of any one of claims 6 to 10, wherein the controller is configured to control the luminescence of at least one lighting unit of the plurality of lighting units.
12. The system of claim any one of the preceding claims, wherein the plurality of lighting units are configured to receive electrical power from a source of power associated with the elevation apparatus and / or separate from the elevation apparatus.
13. The system of claim 12, further comprising a wiring arrangement configured to electrically connect the plurality of lighting units to the source of power separate from the elevation apparatus.
14. The system of claim 13, wherein the wiring arrangement comprises a plug and lead arrangement.
15. The system of claim 13 or claim 14, wherein the source of power separate from the elevation apparatus comprises an external generator.
16. The system of any one of the preceding claims, wherein the elevation apparatus forms part of a mobile vehicle.2024278630 19 Dec 202417. A lighting frame for a mobile lighting system comprising an elevation apparatus and an actuation mechanism located at the end thereof, the lighting frame comprising: a frame body configured to receive a plurality of lighting units; and a mounting portion configured for mounting the frame body to the actuation mechanism of the elevation apparatus, wherein the mounting portion is configured to couple directly with a swivel actuator and / or a tilt actuator of the actuation mechanism so as to enable the actuation mechanism to change at least a tilt and swivel of the lighting frame.
18. The lighting frame of claim 17, wherein the frame body and mounting portion are removably connected.
19. The lighting frame of claim 17, wherein the frame body and mounting portion are unitarily connected.
20. The lighting frame of any one of claims 17 to 19, further comprising a plurality of lighting units coupled to the frame body.
21. The lighting frame of claim 20, wherein at least a tilt and swivel of each lighting unit of the plurality of lighting units is individually adjustable relative the frame body.
22. A method of arranging a mobile lighting system comprising an elevation apparatus and an actuation mechanism located at the end thereof, the method comprising:providing the lighting frame of claims 17 to 21; andcoupling the mounting portion of the lighting frame directly to a swivel actuator and / or a tilt actuator of the actuation mechanism.
23. The method of claim 22 when dependent on any one of claims 17 to 19, further comprising arranging a plurality of lighting units onto the frame body.2024278630 19 Dec 202424. The method of claim 23, further comprising electrically connecting the plurality of lighting units to a source of power associated with the elevation apparatus and / or separate from the elevation apparatus.
25. A method of operating a mobile lighting system comprising a lighting frame elevated by an elevation apparatus to illuminate a field, sporting venue, sporting ground or other area, the method comprising:monitoring a wind speed at or around the mobile lighting system; and upon detection of a threshold wind speed:emitting a visual and / or audible alarm, and / or retracting the elevation apparatus to a safety height.
