It can decompose in nature through natural biological processes, such as the action of microorganisms, and return to the natural life cycle more quickly and safely, therefore representing an evolutionary solution, standing out in the consumer market due to presenting a differentiated product in terms of its construction and use, low cost, practical and functional. Petition 870250073188, dated 08 / 19 / 2025, page 5 / 26 2 / 9 STATE OF THE ART 003 With the sole and exclusive purpose of providing veracity to the preamble of this description, the applicant will now provide, in the following paragraphs, a brief, yet consistent, explanation of the state of the art regarding the problems and inconveniences existing in relation to identification bracelets on the market, where it will be possible for a person skilled in the art to recognize their deficient aspects, in order to later clearly identify in the invention now claimed the requirement of novelty, mandatory under the Industrial Property Law. Hospital identification bracelets serve to ensure patient safety by facilitating correct identification at all stages of care. They contain essential information such as full name, date of birth, medical record number, emergency contacts, and, in some cases, details about allergies or specific medical conditions. This accurate identification helps prevent errors, such as incorrect medication administration or the performance of incorrect procedures. oo5 Main functions of the bracelet: • Precise identification The wristbands ensure that the medical team can quickly identify the correct patient, avoiding confusion that can occur in hospital environments with many patients. • Error prevention Clear and accurate identification reduces the risk of medication errors, blood transfusions, and other problems. Petition 870250073188, dated 08 / 19 / 2025, page 6 / 26 3 / 9 procedures, ensuring patient safety. • Additional information In some cases, the bracelets may include information about allergies, specific medical conditions, or emergency contacts, which can be crucial in emergency situations. • Facilitating the service flow The wristbands help optimize patient flow, especially in emergency situations where rapid identification can be vital. 006 Types of bracelets: • Basics They contain essential information such as name, medical record number and, in some cases, barcode. • Colorful They can indicate different levels of priority for care, as in the Manchester Protocol, or alert about specific patient conditions, such as allergies (usually in purple). • Mother-child Wristbands are worn in pairs in maternity wards, with the same number for the mother and baby, preventing accidental mix-ups. The correct use and standardization of identification wristbands are considered important measures for patient safety and the reduction of errors in hospital settings. 007 The main problem observed in the wristbands Petition 870250073188, dated 08 / 19 / 2025, page 7 / 26 The problem with the current 4 / 9 cloths is that they are all made of paper or non-biodegradable plastics, which do not decompose naturally or take much longer to decompose, potentially remaining in the environment for hundreds or even thousands of years, causing pollution and environmental damage. 008 Hospital wristbands currently available on the market are predominantly manufactured with conventional plastic materials, such as PVC, Polyethylene (PE), Vinyl, Polyester, or BOPP, which do not degrade naturally in the environment. These solutions: • They are effective in durability and resistance; • They allow direct thermal printing or thermal transfer; • They have tamper-evident locks for security. 009 However, they present certain significant environmental deficiencies: • They are not compostable, remaining in nature for centuries; • They require controlled disposal, often via hospital incineration; • They use raw materials, contributing to carbon emissions; • They hinder the adoption of sustainable practices by healthcare institutions. 010 With the aim of developing an improvement to this type of product, the inventor, a person connected to the field, created and developed the object of this patent, designing a bracelet with new Petition 870250073188, dated 08 / 19 / 2025, page 8 / 26 5 / 9 composition, where not only the technical and functional qualities were considered in the design of its manufacture, but also its form and arrangement of its parts, which brought several advantages and benefits without entailing technical complexity or high cost to the product and the institution that will use it. 011 In view of the foregoing technical fundamentals, with the passage of time and the accumulation of experience, the facts pointed towards the construction of a novel biodegradable identification bracelet, presenting several advantages, being quite practical, efficient and functional, where its unique composition and construction eliminate the negative aspects known in the State of the Art, which is presented in this patent. PATENT OBJECTIVE 012 In order to overcome the problems presented, the inventor hereby applies for a Utility Model Patent, entitled "CONSTRUCTIVE ARRANGEMENT INTRODUCED IN A BIODEGRADABLE HOSPITAL IDENTIFICATION WRISTBAND," which fundamentally aims at developing an identification wristband made of compostable material, i.e., with high degradability, standing out in the consumer market by presenting a differentiated product in terms of its construction and use, while also obtaining a low-cost, functional, and efficient product. 013 With many years of experience, and always seeking innovations and practical solutions to differentiate its products from those of its competitors, the inventor developed this simple and efficient product, capable of overcoming all limitations and Petition 870250073188, dated 08 / 19 / 2025, page 9 / 26 6 / 9 inconveniences reported in the State of the Art in an extremely effective way. The present invention proposes a biodegradable hospital identification bracelet, made of a material with specific characteristics that enable: • High resistance to moisture, sweat, and hospital fluids, ensuring integrity during use: • Controlled degradation through industrial or domestic composting, with decomposition in up to 12 weeks after disposal under appropriate conditions. 015 According to the present invention, it comprises a hospital identification bracelet with various printed information, manufactured from compostable biodegradable material, which reduces the environmental impact caused by single-use identification bracelets in hospitals, while maintaining the necessary technical functionality (mechanical resistance, legibility, secure closure, compatibility with technical printing systems). 016 The main innovation lies in the complete replacement of conventional plastics with a compostable cellulosic film, which maintains the usability required in the hospital sector and also directly contributes to the environmental sustainability of institutions. This provides a significant reduction in hospital plastic waste and, in addition, is compatible with ESG programs, hospital accreditations, and corporate environmental policies. 017 The main objective provided by the new bracelet design is the concept of sustainability by having Petition 870250073188, dated 08 / 19 / 2025, page 10 / 26 7 / 9 High degradability, meaning it's a bracelet made from an organic composition, such as plants, animals, or minerals. Unlike non-biodegradable materials, such as conventional plastics, which can take hundreds of years to decompose, biodegradable materials are those that decompose in nature through biological processes, such as the action of microorganisms, and return to the natural life cycle more quickly and safely. 018 When they decompose, biodegradable materials do not release toxic substances into the environment, unlike non-biodegradable materials that can contaminate the soil and water. 019 In addition to identifying patients in hospitals, clinics, maternity wards, and emergency care units, and identifying visitors, professionals, and internal staff, the bracelet can also be used in various other sectors, such as: at shows and events, where it is possible to identify the audience and sectors; in tourism and hospitality, where it is possible to identify guests, excursionists, and visitors; and at parties and private meetings to identify participants and guests. 020 It is important to understand that the present Utility Model Patent presented here is illustrated in a demonstrative and non-limiting manner regarding the application of the details, dimensions, capacities, and steps described. It is capable of other modalities and of being practiced or executed in a variety of ways, without departing, logically, from the main inventive scope of the object whose protection is claimed. 021 To complement the present description in order to Petition 870250073188, dated 08 / 19 / 2025, page 11 / 26 8 / 9 To obtain a better understanding of the characteristics of the present Utility Model Patent and in accordance with a preferred practical embodiment thereof, a set of drawings is attached to the description, where the following is represented by way of example: Figure 1 - Top illustrative view of the bracelet extended in a flat position.
