Abstract

Interference pigment comprising a hollow platelet capsule and synthesis method. The present invention relates to interference pigments comprising a hollow capsule of a metal oxide such as silica, and a layer of a material selected from zinc oxide, bismuth oxychloride, and cerium dioxide. The invention further provides a method for synthesizing these pigments and cosmetic compositions containing them.
