Abstract

Method for Selecting Cosmetic Active Ingredients. The present invention relates to a method for selecting cosmetic active ingredients for use in the formulation of a composition, comprising the steps of a) providing a structured database and b) for a list of candidate cosmetic active ingredients having known effects on biomarkers and, optionally, cofactors and / or metabolites listed in said database, identifying, using said database, at least one cosmetic active ingredient having a beneficial effect on at least two hallmarks belonging to at least two different predefined clusters. It also relates to a method for manufacturing a composition comprising the step of selecting one or more cosmetic active ingredients by implementing the selection method according to the invention, and manufacturing said composition by incorporating the selected cosmetic active ingredient(s) into a physiologically acceptable medium.It also relates to the cosmetic use of a composition obtained by the process according to the invention for application to keratinous materials.
