Composite buildings

Abstract

This building is a complex that will be used primarily as offices. The building uses eaves to form inter-floor partitions (fire compartments) and has a raised ceiling that raises the area around the windows, creating a sense of openness with large openings inside and a high-ceilinged, high-quality space. Also, by installing indirect lighting around the edges of the raised ceiling, the light that shines on the window areas of the raised ceiling will spill out to the outside of the building at night, creating a warm exterior. Furthermore, by harmonizing the ceiling and the eaves (using wood around the windows of the raised ceiling and applying a special wood-grain paint to the eaves), a sense of unity between the indoors and outdoors can be created when looking up at the exterior.
