[0010] Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. Note that the present invention is not limited to this embodiment. In addition, the components in the following embodiments include those that are replaceable and easy for a person skilled in the art, or those that are substantially the same.
[0011] [Embodiment] The grommet 1 of the embodiment shown in Figs. 1 to 3 is incorporated in a wire harness WH to be wired in a vehicle or the like. Here, the wire harness WH is, for example, a bundle of wiring materials W used for power supply and signal communication to connect each device mounted on a vehicle, and the wiring materials W are connected to each device by a connector or the like. The wire harness WH includes a wiring material W having conductivity and a grommet 1 provided on the wiring material W and through which the wiring material W is inserted. The wire harness WH may further include various components such as exterior members such as a corrugated tube, a resin tape, and a protector, an electric connection box, and a fixing device. The wiring material W is, for example, a metal rod, an electric wire, a bundle of electric wires, etc. The metal rod is a rod-shaped member having conductivity covered on the outside with an insulating covering. The electric wire is a conductor portion (core wire) made of a plurality of conductive metal wires covered on the outside with an insulating covering. The electric wire bundle is a bundle of the electric wires. The wire harness WH bundles and aggregates a plurality of wiring materials W, and various devices are electrically connected via connectors or the like provided at the ends of the bundled wiring materials W. Note that in each drawing, only a portion of the wiring material W is shown.
[0012] The grommet 1 is applied to a through hole 101 formed in a mounting panel 100 to be mounted, when wiring a wiring material W across two spaces partitioned by the mounting panel 100 as a boundary. The mounting panel 100 is, for example, a metal plate constituting a vehicle body, and the through hole 101 penetrates the mounting panel 100 along the plate thickness direction. In the embodiment, the through hole 101 is formed in a circular shape. The two spaces partitioned by the mounting panel 100 as a boundary are typically an interior space (e.g., a cabin) and an exterior space (e.g., an engine compartment). The grommet 1 is assembled to the through hole 101 in a state in which the wiring material W of the wire harness WH is inserted and sheathed around the wiring material W, thereby protecting the wiring material W passing through the through hole 101 and waterproofing the through hole 101. In addition to waterproofing the through hole 101, the grommet 1 also has functions such as dustproofing and soundproofing. The configuration of the grommet 1 will be described in detail below with reference to the respective drawings.
[0013] In the following description, for convenience, the first direction, the second direction, and the third direction intersecting each other are referred to as the "axial direction X", the second direction as the "width direction Y", and the third direction as the "height direction Z". The axial direction X, the width direction Y, and the height direction Z are typically perpendicular to each other. Here, the axial direction X corresponds to the plate thickness direction of the above-mentioned mounting panel 100, and corresponds to the insertion direction of the wiring material W and the grommet 1 into the through hole 101. In other words, the axial direction X is the insertion direction of the wiring material W inserted into the grommet 1, and is a direction along the extension direction of the wiring material W. The width direction Y and the height direction Z correspond to the extension direction of the mounting panel 100. Here, for the sake of convenience and ease of understanding, the wiring material W is described as being linearly wired along the axial direction X, but it is not limited thereto, and the wiring material W inserted into the grommet 1 may be partially bent or curved so as to deviate from the axial direction X when the grommet 1 is attached to the mounting panel 100. In addition, each direction used in the following description will be described as a direction in a state in which the grommet 1 is assembled to the mounting panel 100, unless otherwise specified. In addition, the axis C along the extension direction of the wiring material W extends along the axial direction X. In addition, for an annular member that opens toward the axial direction X, the direction along the plane formed by the width direction Y and the height direction Z perpendicular to the axial direction X is called the radial direction. In addition, the radial direction is called the radial inner side of the annular member, and the side away from the center is called the radial outer side.
[0014] As shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, a grommet 1 of the embodiment includes a grommet body 10 and a grommet inner 20.
[0015] The grommet body 10 is a member to which the grommet inner 20 is attached and through which the wiring material W is inserted inside, and which provides a watertight seal between the grommet body 10 and the mounting panel 100. The grommet body 10 includes a flange portion 11, a watertight portion 12, a blocking portion 13, a tubular portion 14, an auxiliary tubular portion 15, a first index portion 16, and a recess 17, which are integrated together to form an elastic body. The grommet body 10 is formed from an insulating elastic resin material (e.g., ethylene-propylene-diene rubber (EPDM)) having low rigidity and high flexibility, such as rubber or a thermoplastic elastomer.
[0016] The flange portion 11 is an annular portion arranged along the outer periphery of the grommet body 10. In the embodiment, the flange portion 11 is formed in an annular shape. As shown in FIG. 3, the flange portion 11 includes a first annular member 11a, a second annular member 11b, and an outer end member 11c. The first annular member 11a is formed in an annular disc shape and is provided with a plate surface facing the insertion direction of the wiring material W. The second annular member 11b is formed in an annular disc shape and is provided with a plate surface facing the insertion direction of the wiring material W. The first annular member 11a is arranged on one side of the insertion direction, and the second annular member 11b is arranged on the other side of the insertion direction, and is arranged with the plate surfaces facing each other in the insertion direction and with a gap 11d between them. The outer end member 11c is a portion that connects the outer periphery ends of the first annular member 11a and the second annular member 11b. The gap 11d between the first circular ring member 11a and the second circular ring member 11b is secured by connecting the first circular ring member 11a and the second circular ring member 11b with the outer end member 11c. The first circular ring member 11a and the second circular ring member 11b are formed with their inner circumferential ends open. Therefore, the gap 11d between the first circular ring member 11a and the second circular ring member 11b is opened toward the inner circumferential end. In the flange portion 11 thus configured, a flat plate surface facing one side of the insertion direction opposite to the side where the second circular ring member 11b is disposed is configured as one end surface portion 11aa in the first circular ring member 11a. In addition, in the flange portion 11, a flat plate surface facing the other side of the insertion direction opposite to the side where the first circular ring member 11a is disposed is configured as the other end surface portion 11ba in the second circular ring member 11b.
[0017] As shown in Figs. 2 and 3, the water stop portion 12 is integrally provided on the other end surface portion 11ba of the flange portion 11 and is formed in an annular shape so as to follow the inner peripheral edge of the through hole 101 of the mounting panel 100. In the embodiment, the water stop portion 12 is formed in an annular shape. The water stop portion 12 is a portion that contacts the inner peripheral edge of the through hole 101 of the mounting panel 100 and stops water flow between the inner peripheral edge of the through hole 101 and the water stop portion 12. As shown in Fig. 3, the water stop portion 12 has a tongue-shaped lip portion 12a that protrudes from the other end surface portion 11ba of the flange portion 11 to the other side in the insertion direction and extends radially outward. The lip portion 12a is configured to be in close contact with the inner peripheral edge of the through hole 101 by elastic deformation when the grommet 1 is attached to the through hole 101, and to seal the entire peripheral edge of the through hole 101. The waterproof portion 12 may be configured to come into contact with the plate surface of the mounting panel 100 along the periphery of the through hole 101, and to prevent water from entering between the waterproof portion 12 and the plate surface.
[0018] As shown in Figs. 1 to 3, the blocking portion 13 is formed integrally with the radially inner side of the annular flange portion 11 and the radially inner side of the water stop portion 12, and is formed to block the annular shape of the flange portion 11 and the water stop portion 12. Therefore, the blocking portion 13 is configured to cover and block the through hole 101 together with the water stop portion 12. The blocking portion 13 also has a cylindrical portion 14 and an auxiliary cylindrical portion 15 formed integrally therewith, and a reinforcing rib 13a formed annularly so as to surround them. The blocking portion 13 also has a bellows-shaped flexible portion 13b inside the reinforcing rib 13a that connects the respective ends of the cylindrical portion 14 and the auxiliary cylindrical portion 15. Therefore, the blocking portion 13 can maintain its shape by suppressing excessive deformation with the reinforcing rib 13a while imparting flexibility to the cylindrical portion 14 and the auxiliary cylindrical portion 15 with the flexible portion 13b.
[0019] As shown in Figs. 1 to 3, the tubular portion 14 is formed in a substantially cylindrical shape integral with the blocking portion 13. The tubular portion 14 extends in the insertion direction of the wiring material W and is provided so as to penetrate the blocking portion 13. The wiring material W is inserted into the tubular portion 14. Therefore, the wiring material W inserted into the tubular portion 14 is disposed so as to penetrate the grommet body 10. A plurality of the tubular portions 14 may be formed side by side. One wiring material W is inserted into one tubular portion 14. One wiring material W is typically configured as one electric wire. As shown in Fig. 3, the tubular portion 14 has a rib 14a formed on its inner peripheral surface that protrudes toward the inside of the tube and runs along the circumferential direction of the cylindrical shape. A plurality of the ribs 14a are formed in the extending direction of the tubular portion 14. In the embodiment, the rib 14a is formed at three locations in total, at the tip of the tubular portion 14 that extends away from the blocking portion 13 and in the middle of the extension. The rib 14a contacts the outer peripheral surface of the wiring material W inserted inside the tubular portion 14, holding the wiring material W inside the tubular portion 14 and sealing off the water between the wiring material W and the tubular portion 14.
[0020] As shown in Figs. 1 to 3, the auxiliary tube portion 15 is formed in a substantially cylindrical shape integral with the blocking portion 13. The auxiliary tube portion 15 extends in the insertion direction of the wiring material W, and the base end is provided so as to penetrate the blocking portion 13. The auxiliary tube portion 15 has a tip extending away from the blocking portion 13 and closed by a lid portion 15a. In the embodiment, the lid portion 15a is fixed so as to close the tip of the auxiliary tube portion 15. The lid portion 15a may be provided so as to be able to open and close the tip of the auxiliary tube portion 15. The tip of the auxiliary tube portion 15 is usually closed by the lid portion 15a to make it waterproof. The lid portion 15a of the auxiliary tube portion 15 is removed as necessary, and the wiring material W is inserted into the inside of the auxiliary tube portion 15. Therefore, the wiring material W inserted into the auxiliary tube portion 15 is disposed so as to penetrate the grommet body 10. 3, the auxiliary tube portion 15 has a rib 15b formed on its inner peripheral surface that protrudes toward the inside of the tube and runs along the circumferential direction of the cylindrical shape. A plurality of ribs 15b are formed in the extending direction of the auxiliary tube portion 15. In the embodiment, the ribs 15b are formed at a total of three locations along the extension of the auxiliary tube portion 15. The ribs 15b come into contact with the outer peripheral surface of the wiring material W inserted inside the auxiliary tube portion 15, and hold the wiring material W inside the auxiliary tube portion 15 while sealing off water between the wiring material W and the auxiliary tube portion 15.
[0021] The first index portion 16 is a mark for locating the grommet body 10 and the grommet inner 20 in the normal mounting position in cooperation with a second index portion 26 of the grommet inner 20, which will be described later. As shown in FIG. 1, the first index portion 16 is provided on one end surface 11aa of the first annular member 11a of the flange portion 11. The first index portion 16 is configured as a protrusion 16a protruding from a plate surface forming the one end surface 11aa to one side in the insertion direction. The first index portion 16 is also configured as a straight line extending in the radial direction of the flange portion 11. Therefore, the protrusion 16a is formed in a straight line extending in the radial direction of the flange portion 11. The first index portion 16 is also configured as a single portion. Therefore, the protrusion 16a is formed in a straight line extending in the radial direction of the flange portion 11. The protrusion 16a is formed continuously in the radial direction between the outer peripheral end and the inner peripheral end of the first annular member 11a on one end surface 11aa. The protrusion 16a is formed in a rectangular shape protruding from one end surface 11aa when viewed from the radial direction. The protrusion 16a is also formed in a rectangular shape when viewed from the insertion direction.
[0022] As shown in FIG. 1, the recess 17 is provided on one end surface 11aa of the first circular ring member 11a of the flange portion 11. The recess 17 is formed by cutting out a part of the annular protrusion 17a formed along the inner circumferential end of the first circular ring member 11a of the flange portion 11. The recess 17 is formed at a plurality of positions in the circumferential direction of the flange portion 11. In the embodiment, the recess 17 is formed at three positions. The protrusion 17a for forming the recess 17 is formed to have a lower protruding height from one end surface 11aa than the protrusion 16a constituting the first index portion 16. When the protrusion 17a is formed to have a lower protruding height from one end surface 11aa than the protrusion 16a constituting the first index portion 16, the second index portion 26 described later is easily fitted into the first index portion 16 and is easily arranged along one end surface 11aa.
[0023] The grommet inner 20 is a member that is attached to the grommet body 10 and through which the wiring material W is inserted inside. The grommet inner 20 includes a main body 21, a hinge portion 22, a locking portion 23, a flange portion 24, a claw portion 25, and a second index portion 26, which are integrally formed. The grommet inner 20 is formed from a synthetic resin material such as polypropylene (PP) that has higher rigidity than the grommet body 10.
[0024] As shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, the main body 21 is formed in a tubular shape penetrating in the insertion direction. In the embodiment, the main body 21 is formed in a cylindrical shape. As shown in FIG. 3, the main body 21 is configured to be able to be inserted into the radial inside of the flange portion 11 in the grommet body 10. The main body 21 is formed by dividing a tubular shape into a first member 21A and a second member 21B. The first member 21A and the second member 21B are formed in a substantially semicircular shape and symmetrical shape. The first member 21A and the second member 21B are connected at one end of the semicircular shape via a hinge portion 22. The hinge portion 22 forms an axis extending in the insertion direction, and opens and closes the other end of the semicircular shape of the first member 21A and the second member 21B via the axis. The first member 21A and the second member 21B are configured to be able to engage with each other at the other end of the semicircular shape via a locking portion 23. The locking portion 23 is composed of, for example, a recess and a claw that locks with the recess. Therefore, the main body 21 can insert the middle part of the wiring material W by releasing the locking portion 23 to release the mutual engagement of the other ends of the first member 21A and the second member 21B, and opening the mutual other ends of the first member 21A and the second member 21B via the hinge portion 22. The main body 21 can be formed into a cylindrical shape with the wiring material W inserted therethrough by engaging and closing the mutual other ends of the first member 21A and the second member 21B. Note that the main body 21 may be configured to be separated from each other without being connected by the hinge portion 22, and one end and the other end of the semicircular shape of the first member 21A and the second member 21B may be configured to be engageable with each other via the locking portion 23.
[0025] 1 and 2, the flange portion 24 is a plate-like portion extending radially outward from the cylindrical outer periphery of the main body portion 21. The flange portion 24 is configured so as to be insertable into a gap 11d between the first circular ring member 11a and the second circular ring member 11b of the flange portion 11, as shown in FIG.
[0026] As shown in Fig. 1 and Fig. 2, the claw portion 25 is provided radially outward from the cylindrical outer periphery of the main body 21 in the portion where the flange portion 24 is cut out. As shown in Fig. 3, the claw portion 25 includes a plate-shaped base 25a extending radially outward from the cylindrical outer periphery of the main body 21, a plate-shaped claw piece 25b extending from the tip of the base 25a while bending in the insertion direction, and a claw 25c provided at the tip of the claw piece 25b. The claw portion 25 is provided at a circumferential position corresponding to the recess 17 of the flange portion 11 of the grommet body 10. Therefore, in the embodiment, the claw portion 25 is formed at three positions in the circumferential direction of the main body 21, and the base 25a fits into the recess 17 of the flange portion 11 of the grommet body 10.
[0027] The second index portion 26 is a mark for arranging the grommet body 10 and the grommet inner 20 in the correct mounting position in cooperation with the first index portion 16 of the grommet body 10. As shown in FIG. 1, the second index portion 26 is provided extending radially outward from the cylindrical outer periphery of the main body 21. The second index portion 26 is configured as a rod-shaped portion 26a extending radially outward from the cylindrical outer periphery of the main body 21. The second index portion 26 is also configured in a straight line extending radially outward from the cylindrical outer periphery of the main body 21. Therefore, the rod-shaped portion 26a is formed in a straight line extending radially outward from the cylindrical outer periphery of the main body 21. The second index portion 26 is also configured of a pair of rod-shaped portions 26a. The pair of rod-shaped portions 26a can be fitted together with the protrusion 16a of the first index portion 16 sandwiched therebetween. The pair of rod-shaped portions 26a are arranged in a circumferential direction and parallel to the radial direction, and are formed so as to sandwich the protrusion 16a between them and fit together. The rod-shaped portion 26a is formed in a rectangular shape when viewed radially from the end in the extension direction. The rod-shaped portion 26a is also formed in a rectangular shape when viewed from the insertion direction. The rod-shaped portion 26a of the second index portion 26 is provided on the main body portion 21 with a gap between it and the flange portion 24 in the insertion direction. In this way, one second index portion 26 is formed by the two rod-shaped portions 26a.
[0028] In addition, when the grommet 1 of the embodiment is attached to the mounting panel 100, a fixing target member 200 is used as shown in FIG. 1. The fixing target member 200 is, for example, a plate-shaped member formed of a synthetic resin material such as polypropylene (PP) having higher rigidity than the grommet body 10, and is, for example, a part of a protactor. The fixing target member 200 is formed with an insertion hole 201 penetrating in the insertion direction, which is the plate thickness direction. The insertion hole 201 is configured so that the main body 21 of the grommet inner 20 and the wiring material W can be inserted as shown in FIG. 3. In the embodiment, the insertion hole 201 is formed in a circular shape. In addition, the fixing target member 200 is formed with a locking hole 202 penetrating in the insertion direction, which is the plate thickness direction, as shown in FIG. 1. The locking hole 202 is configured so that each claw portion 25 of the grommet inner 20 can be inserted. As shown in FIG. 3, the locking hole 202 is formed with a locking portion 202b in which the claw 25c of the claw portion 25 is locked. The locking hole 202 is provided at a position corresponding to each claw portion 25 of the grommet inner 20. Therefore, in the embodiment, the locking hole 202 is formed at three places around the insertion hole 201. Also, the fixing target member 200 is formed with a fixing hole 203 penetrating in the insertion direction, which is the plate thickness direction, as shown in FIG. 1. The fixing hole 203 is provided at a plurality of places with the insertion hole 201 therebetween. In the embodiment, the fixing hole 203 is provided at two places. Although not shown in the figure, a screw is inserted into the fixing hole 203. This screw is attached to the mounting panel 100. The mounting panel 100 is formed with a screw hole 102 for attaching a screw, as shown in FIG. 1. 3, the fixing target member 200 engages the claw portion 25 of the grommet inner 20 attached to the grommet body 10 of the grommet 1, and is fastened and fixed to the mounting panel 100 by the screw. As a result, the grommet 1 and the wire harness WH are fixed to the mounting panel 100, and the water-stopping portion 12 of the grommet body 10 waterproofs the through hole 101 of the mounting panel 100. The fixing target member 200 can function as a protector that protects the wiring material W attached to the mounting panel 100 via the grommet 1, for example.
[0029] Here, a procedure for assembling the above-mentioned grommet 1 and the wire harness WH will be described with reference to Figs. 1, 3 to 5.
[0030] 1, in the grommet 1, a wiring material W is inserted into a tubular portion 14 of a grommet body 10. In addition, in the grommet 1, the wiring material W may be inserted into an auxiliary tubular portion 15 of the grommet body 10 as necessary.
[0031] 1, in the grommet 1, the wiring material W is inserted into the main body 21 of the grommet inner 20. In this case, the first member 21A and the second member 21B of the main body 21 of the grommet inner 20 are opened (or separated), the wiring material W is placed therebetween, and then the first member 21A and the second member 21B are engaged and closed to insert the wiring material W.
[0032] Next, as shown in Figures 4 and 5, the grommet inner 20 is attached to the grommet body 10 of the grommet 1. In this case, the gap 11d of the grommet body 10 is widened so as to separate the inner circumferential end of the first circular ring member 11a of the flange portion 11 from the second circular ring member 11b. Meanwhile, the grommet inner 20 has its body portion 21 inserted radially inward of the flange portion 11 while its flange portion 24 is inserted into the widened gap 11d of the first circular ring member 11a. In this manner, the grommet inner 20 is attached to the grommet body 10 of the grommet 1. In addition, when the grommet inner 20 is attached to the grommet body 10, the second index portion 26 is provided on the body portion 21 at a distance from the flange portion 24 in the insertion direction, so that the first circular ring member 11a of the grommet body 10 is received between the second index portion 26 and the flange portion 24, and the second index portion 26 is positioned along the plate surface of one end face portion 11aa of the first circular ring member 11a. As shown in Figs. 4 and 5, the second index portion 26 fits into the first index portion 16 formed on one end face portion 11aa. Therefore, the rod-shaped portion 26a of the second index portion 26 fits into the protrusion portion 16a of the first index portion 16. In the embodiment, the first index portion 16 and the second index portion 26 are fitted into each other by inserting the single first index portion 16 constituting the first index portion 16 between a pair of rod-shaped portions 26a constituting the second index portion 26. In such a grommet 1, when the grommet body 10 and the grommet inner 20 are installed in the mounting position where the first index portion 16 and the second index portion 26 are fitted together, each of the claw portions 25 of the grommet inner 20 is inserted into each of the recesses 17 formed in the first circular ring member 11a of the grommet body 10.
[0033] 3, the grommet 1 is assembled and locked to the target member 200 with the grommet inner 20 attached to the grommet body 10. In this case, the grommet inner 20 is assembled and locked to the target member 200 by locking each of the claw portions 25 into each of the locking holes 202 of the target member 200. Therefore, the grommet 1 and the wire harness WH are integrated with the grommet body 10, the grommet inner 20, and the target member 200.
[0034] 3, in the state where the grommet body 10, the grommet inner 20, and the fixing target member 200 are integrated, the water stopping portion 12 of the grommet body 10 is fitted into the through hole 101 of the mounting panel 100, and the fixing target member 200 is fastened to the mounting panel 100. Thus, the grommet 1 and the wire harness WH are attached to the mounting panel 100.
[0035] Here, in the above-mentioned grommet 1 and wire harness WH, in the assembly procedure, as shown in Fig. 4 and Fig. 5, the mounting position of the grommet body 10 and the grommet inner 20 where each claw portion 25 of the grommet inner 20 is inserted into each recess 17 of the grommet body 10 becomes a predetermined normal mounting position of the grommet body 10 and the grommet inner 20. Such a normal mounting position is, for example, a proper mounting position in terms of wiring between the fixing target member 200 side attached to the mounting panel 100 and the mounting panel 100 side of the wiring material W inserted into the grommet body 10. Therefore, the grommet 1 and wire harness WH of the embodiment are defined by the insertion of each claw portion 25 of the grommet inner 20 into each recess 17 of the grommet body 10. In the grommet 1 and wire harness WH of the embodiment, the relative positions of the insertion of the claw portions 25 of the grommet inner 20 into the recesses 17 of the grommet body 10 are determined by the fitting of the first index portion 16 and the second index portion 26.
[0036] As described above, the grommet 1 of the embodiment comprises a grommet body 10 having an annular water-stopping portion 12 through which the wiring material W is inserted along the insertion direction and which is attached to a through hole 101 formed in the mounting panel 100 to stop water, and an annular flange portion 11 formed integrally with the water-stopping portion 12, and a grommet inner 20 which is attached to the grommet body 10, and the grommet body 10 includes a first index portion 16 provided on one end face portion 11aa of the flange portion 11 of the grommet body 10 facing one side in the insertion direction, and the grommet inner 20 includes a second index portion 26 provided on the grommet inner 20 and positioned along one end face portion 11aa of the flange portion 11 when the grommet inner 20 is attached to the grommet body 10, and which can be fitted into the first index portion 16. In this grommet 1, the first index portion 16 and the second index portion 26 are fitted together when the grommet body 10 and the grommet inner 20 are arranged in a predetermined normal mounting position.
[0037] Moreover, the wire harness WH of the embodiment includes a wiring material W having electrical conductivity and the grommet 1 provided on the wiring material W.
[0038] According to this grommet 1 and wire harness WH, when the grommet body 10 and the grommet inner 20 are attached to each other, the first index portion 16 and the second index portion 26 are fitted together, so that the grommet body 10 and the grommet inner 20 are positioned in the correct installation position. The first index portion 16 is provided on one end surface 11aa of the flange portion 11 of the grommet body 10, and the second index portion 26 is fitted into the first index portion 16 along this one end surface 11aa. Therefore, according to this grommet 1 and wire harness WH, the visibility of the fitting of the first index portion 16 and the second index portion 26 is good. Therefore, according to this grommet 1 and wire harness WH, the grommet body 10 and the grommet inner 20 can be easily attached in a proper positional relationship.
[0039] In addition, in the grommet 1 and the wire harness WH, the first index portion 16 is configured as a straight protrusion portion 16a extending radially from the flange portion 11 and provided on one end face portion 11aa, and the second index portion 26 is configured as a straight rod-shaped portion 26a extending radially and conforming to the protrusion portion 16a of the first index portion 16.
[0040] According to this grommet 1 and wire harness WH, the first index portion 16 and the second index portion 26 are formed of a straight-line protrusion portion 16a and a rod-shaped portion 26a, respectively, and by simply attaching these together, the proper positional relationship between the grommet body 10 and the grommet inner 20 can be easily recognized.
[0041] In the above embodiment, the protrusion 16a of the first index portion 16 is a single structure, the rod-shaped portion 26a of the second index portion 26 is a pair structure, and the first index portion 16 and the second index portion 26 are joined together by inserting the protrusion 16a of the first index portion 16 between the rod-shaped portions 26a of the second index portion 26. However, the present invention is not limited to this structure. For example, although not shown in the drawings, the first index portion 16 and the second index portion 26 may be configured such that the protrusion 16a and the rod-shaped portion 26a are a single structure, and the linear tips of the first index portion 16 and the second index portion 26 are butted together to be joined together in a single straight line.
[0042] In addition, in the grommet 1 and the wire harness WH, the protrusion portion 16a of the first index portion 16 and the rod-shaped portion 26a of the second index portion 26 are each configured as a single unit and as a pair, and are fitted together by inserting one between the other along the insertion direction.
[0043] In the above-described embodiment, the first index portion 16 has a single protrusion 16a, the second index portion 26 has a pair of rod-shaped portions 26a, and the single protrusion 16a is inserted between the pair of rod-shaped portions 26a along the insertion direction, but this is not limited to the above. For example, although not shown in the drawings, the first index portion 16 and the second index portion 26 may have a single rod-shaped portion 26a of the second index portion 26, the protrusions 16a of the first index portion 16 are a pair, and the single rod-shaped portion 26a may be inserted between the pair of protrusions 16a along the insertion direction.
[0044] With this grommet 1 and wire harness WH, one of the protrusion portion 16a of the first indicator portion 16 and the rod-shaped portion 26a of the second indicator portion 26 is configured as a single convex shape and the other as a pair of concave shapes, and the convex shapes are inserted into the concave shapes along the insertion direction, so that the mutual fit can be reliably visually observed.
[0045] In addition, in the grommet 1 and the wire harness WH, the grommet inner 20 includes a plurality of claw portions 25 that can be engaged with the fixed target member 200 when attached to the grommet body 10, and the grommet body 10 includes a plurality of recesses 17 into which each of the claw portions 25 is inserted. When the grommet body 10 and the grommet inner 20 are positioned in the correct attachment position with the first index portion 16 and the second index portion 26 engaged with each other, each of the claw portions 25 of the grommet inner 20 is inserted into each of the recesses 17 of the grommet body 10.
[0046] With this grommet 1 and wire harness WH, the grommet body 10 and the grommet inner 20 are arranged in the correct mounting position by inserting each of the claw portions 25 into each of the recesses 17. And with this grommet 1 and wire harness WH, the first index portion 16 and the second index portion 26 can indicate the insertion of each of the claw portions 25 into each of the recesses 17 by fitting them together.
[0047] The first index portion 16 and the second index portion 26 are not limited to the above-mentioned embodiment. For example, although not shown in the drawings, the first index portion 16 and the second index portion 26 may be configured such that the first index portion 16 is configured as a concave portion (e.g., a groove portion) formed on one end surface portion 11aa of the flange portion 11, and the second index portion 26 is configured as a convex portion (e.g., a rod-shaped portion) that fits into the concave portion of the first index portion 16.
[0048] Note that the grommet 1 and the wire harness WH may be configured such that the grommet body 10 is attached to the mounting panel 100 via the grommet inner 20 without using the fixing target member 200. For example, although not shown in the figures, the grommet 1 and the wire harness WH may be configured such that the grommet body 10 is directly attached to the fixing target member 200, which is the mounting panel 100, via the grommet inner 20. Therefore, the fixing target member 200 may be included as a component of the grommet 1 and the wire harness WH, but it is also possible that it is not included as a component.
[0049] The grommet 1 and the wire harness WH according to the embodiment of the present invention described above are not limited to the above embodiment, and various modifications are possible within the scope of the claims. The grommet 1 and the wire harness WH according to the embodiment may be configured by appropriately combining the components of the embodiment and the modified examples described above.
