Abstract
Organic double-layer supercapacitors (ODLSCs) with electrodes based on indium halogenated phthalocyanines and copper halogenated phthalocyanines, using palm leaf or polyethylene terephthalate (PET) as substrate and collector, are described, along with methods for their production. After evaluating their electrical behavior, the capacitors with a palm leaf substrate exhibited behavior more similar to that of traditional inorganic supercapacitors, displaying capacitive behavior, while the supercapacitors with PET as a substrate showed inductive behavior. Due to their characteristics, the supercapacitors of the invention function as organic optoelectronic or photovoltaic devices and exhibit excellent charge transport within the capacitor, displaying resistive-capacitive behavior.
