Leak-proof spiral pipe joint

Abstract

A leak-proof joint for connecting adjacent spiral pipes is disclosed. The joint comprises a tubular body having internal spiral grooves defined by helical ridges with a helical corrugation, and valleys configured to engage with corresponding spiral portions of spiral pipes. The tubular body further includes at least two spaced injection ports aligned with the helical corrugations and configured to inject a sealant into the interface between the joint and the adjacent spiral pipes. The sealant is distributed along the helical corrugations to form a tight-sealing and leakproof connection between the adjoining pipes. The joint provides improved sealing performance and accommodates dimensional variations and movement of the connected spiral pipes.
