Abstract

A spiral heat exchanger designed to dehumidify industrial gas emissions, such as fumes, toxic gases, and pollutants, consists of three main components: a condenser, a droplet separator, and a heater. The water condenser is a four-pass crossflow heat exchanger with refrigerant flowing through the flutes. The second heat exchanger heats the exhaust gas exiting the first heat exchanger. The objective of this heat exchanger is to reach a temperature above the dew point. Furthermore, a droplet eliminator separates these two exchangers, thus preventing droplets from passing into the second exchanger and eliminating their vaporization.
