Device and method for providing personalized pet services based on intestinal microbiome analysis

[0001]

[0002] The present invention relates to a device and method for providing a personalized pet service based on intestinal microbiome analysis.

[0003]

[0004]

[0005] The number of pet dog owners is rapidly increasing worldwide, including in Korea. Many recognize their companion dogs as members of the family, and are offering them homemade food and vegetarian diets in place of commercially available options. However, this approach poses a risk of exposing companion dogs to various diseases, requiring careful consideration and understanding.

[0006] Diet is the most important factor affecting the composition of intestinal microorganisms, and changes in the composition of intestinal microorganisms are known to affect the production of metabolites. Since diet affects the composition and changes of intestinal microorganisms in this way, an approach to diet based on an accurate understanding of companion dogs is necessary.

[0007] Although there have been several studies conducted to manufacture animal feed using the intestinal microbiome, research on early diagnosis related to disease outbreak is in its initial stages, and most of the previously known disease diagnosis technologies were developed to diagnose diseases in humans, not companion animals, and have the disadvantage of being able to diagnose with samples from specimens obtained through invasive blood collection.

[0008] In addition, since there are differences in the distribution of intestinal microorganisms depending on the differences between individuals and the mix and type of feed, there is a need for the development of a customized analysis system that can satisfy individual nutritional deficiencies based on microbial community analysis. However, there has been no technology that can satisfy this so far.

[0009] Therefore, there is an urgent need for the development of a technology that can non-invasively collect samples for intestinal microbiome analysis from companion animals, identify the intestinal condition information (intestinal microbiome condition information) and diseases (diseases) of companion animals based on the collected samples, and provide customized services such as providing pet food and recipes tailored to each companion animal based on the identified information.

[0010] The technology underlying the present invention is disclosed in Korean Patent Publication No. 10-2020-0087558.

[0011]

[0012]

[0013] The present invention is intended to solve the problems of the prior art described above, and aims to provide a device and method for providing a pet-tailored service based on intestinal microbiome analysis, which can noninvasively collect a sample for intestinal microbiome analysis from a pet, identify the intestinal condition information (intestinal microbiome condition information) and the disease (disease) of the pet based on the collected sample, and provide a customized service such as providing pet food and recipes tailored to each pet based on the identified information.

[0014] However, the technical problems to be solved by the embodiments of the present invention are not limited to the technical problems described above, and other technical problems may exist.

[0015]

[0016]

[0017] As a technical means for achieving the above-mentioned technical task, a device for providing a pet-tailored service based on intestinal microbiome analysis according to one embodiment of the present invention may include an analysis unit for deriving intestinal condition information of a pet through intestinal microbiome analysis of the pet; and a service provision unit for providing a customized service tailored to the pet based on the intestinal condition information.

[0018] In addition, the analysis unit can collect feces from the companion animal using a previously manufactured diagnostic device, perform an intestinal microbiome analysis on the collected feces, and derive analysis result information on microorganisms, including beneficial bacteria and harmful bacteria, in the companion animal's intestines as intestinal condition information.

[0019] In addition, the device for providing a pet-tailored service based on intestinal microbiome analysis according to one embodiment of the present invention further includes a construction unit that constructs a microbiome-based cluster distribution map by analyzing fecal samples of a plurality of pets, and the analysis unit can derive the intestinal state information using the constructed cluster distribution map.

[0020] In addition, the service provider may provide customized recipe information that matches the intestinal condition information or information on customized pet food products manufactured based on the customized recipe information as the customized service.

[0021] In addition, the device for providing a pet-specific service based on intestinal microbiome analysis according to one embodiment of the present invention further includes an acquisition unit that acquires pet information including at least one of the breed, age, weight, eating habits, and activity level of the pet from a user terminal, and the service provision unit can provide the customized service by further considering the pet information.

[0022] In addition, the device for providing a pet-specific service based on intestinal microbiome analysis according to one embodiment of the present invention may further include a subscription management unit that regularly delivers a customized pet food product on a delivery date specified by the user when a subscription request for information on a customized pet food product is made from a user terminal.

[0023] Meanwhile, a method for providing a pet-specific service based on intestinal microbiome analysis by a pet-specific service providing device based on intestinal microbiome analysis according to one embodiment of the present invention may include a step of, in an analysis unit, deriving intestinal state information of the pet through intestinal microbiome (mMicrobiome) analysis of the pet; and a step of, in a service provision unit, providing a customized service to the pet based on the intestinal state information.

[0024] The above-described problem-solving methods are merely exemplary and should not be construed as limiting the scope of the present invention. In addition to the exemplary embodiments described above, additional embodiments may exist in the drawings and detailed description of the invention.

[0025]

[0026]

[0027]

[0028] According to the above-described problem solving means of the present invention, by providing a device and method for providing a pet-tailored service based on intestinal microbiome analysis, a sample for intestinal microbiome analysis can be collected non-invasively from a pet using a pre-manufactured diagnostic device, and based on the collected sample, the pet's intestinal condition information (intestinal microbiome condition information) and existing disease (disease) can be identified, and based on the identified information, a customized service such as provision of pet food and recipe customized to each pet can be provided.

[0029] However, the effects that can be obtained from the present invention are not limited to the effects described above, and other effects may exist.

[0047] FIG. 1 is a diagram schematically illustrating the configuration of a pet-tailored service provision system (100) based on intestinal microbiome analysis according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0048] Hereinafter, for convenience of explanation, a system (100) for providing a pet-specific service based on intestinal microbiome analysis according to an embodiment of the present invention will be referred to as the present system (100). In addition, the present system (100) may include a device (10) for providing a pet-specific service based on intestinal microbiome analysis according to an embodiment of the present invention, and the device (10) for providing a pet-specific service based on intestinal microbiome analysis according to an embodiment of the present invention will be referred to as the present device (10) for convenience of explanation.

[0049] Referring to FIG. 1, the present system (100) may include the present device (10), a diagnostic device (20), a user terminal (30), and a companion animal (40).

[0050] This device (10) is a device for providing a pet-tailored service based on intestinal microbiome analysis, and may be a device or server that provides a web page, app page, program, or application related to providing a pet-tailored service based on intestinal microbiome analysis. [0054] The user terminal (30) may include all types of wired and wireless communication devices, such as, but not limited to, PCS (Personal Communication System), GSM (Global System for Mobile communication), PDC (Personal Digital Cellular), PHS (Personal Handy-phone System), PDA (Personal Digital Assistant), IMT (International Mobile Telecommunication)-2000, CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access)-2000, W-CDMA (WCode Division Multiple Access), Wibro (Wireless Broadband Internet) terminals, smartphones, SmartPads, tablet PCs, laptops, wearable devices, desktop PCs, etc.

[0055] A companion animal (40) may be, for example, a pet raised by a user. The companion animal (40) may include a puppy, a cat, a hedgehog, etc., but is not limited to the aforementioned types, and various types of animals may be applied as the companion animal (40) considered in the present system (100). In the present invention, as an example, the companion animal (40) is a pet raised by a user of the user terminal (30), and is exemplified as a puppy / dog (companion dog).

[0056] This device (10) can transmit and receive data by being linked to each of a user terminal (30) and a diagnostic device (20) via a network (5). In addition, the control unit (17) within this device (10) can control the operation of each of the user terminal (30) and the diagnostic device (20), and can also control the operation of each part within this device (10).

[0057] The network (5) may include, but is not limited to, a 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project) network, an LTE (Long Term Evolution) network, a WIMAX (World Interoperability for Microwave Access) network, the Internet, a LAN (Local Area Network), a Wireless LAN (Wireless Local Area Network), a WAN (Wide Area Network), a PAN (Personal Area Network), a Bluetooth network, an NFC (Near Field Communication) network, a satellite broadcasting network, an analog broadcasting network, a DMB (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) network, etc., and may include various wired / wireless communication networks.

[0058] In addition, in the example illustrated in FIG. 1, each component (e.g., user terminal (30), diagnostic device (20), and companion animal (40)) within the system (100) is provided (included) one by one, but this is only an example to help understanding of the present invention, and is not limited thereto. In another example, the system (100) may be provided with a plurality of each of the above-described components, and even if the description of each of the above-described components is omitted below, it may be equally applied to the description of each of the components provided in a plurality (i.e., a plurality of user terminals, a plurality of diagnostic devices, and a plurality of companion animals). A more specific description of the device (10) is as follows.

[0059] This device (10) may include an analysis unit (11), a service provision unit (12), a construction unit (13), an acquisition unit (14), a database unit (15), a subscription management unit (16), and a control unit (17).

[0060] The analysis unit (11) can derive intestinal condition information of the companion animal (40) by analyzing the intestinal microbiome of the companion animal (40). The microbiome is a general term for various microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses living in the human body, which change in various ways over time and affect human health. In the present invention, the term microbiome may be used interchangeably with the term microorganism. Accordingly, the analysis unit (11) can derive intestinal condition information of the companion animal (40) by performing an analysis of the intestinal microbiome (microorganism) of the companion animal (40).

[0061] The analysis unit (11) collects feces from a companion animal (40) using a pre-manufactured diagnostic device (20), and then performs an intestinal microbiome analysis on the collected feces, and can derive analysis result information (microbial analysis result information) on microorganisms including beneficial bacteria and harmful bacteria in the intestines of the companion animal (40) as intestinal condition information of the companion animal (40). Here, the diagnostic device (20) is, for example, a diagnostic device manufactured and provided by a manufacturing unit (not shown) within the present device (10), and may be referred to differently by terms such as a feces collection-based intestinal microorganism diagnostic kit, for example. The pre-manufactured diagnostic device (20) may be a portable diagnostic device provided in a portable size.

[0062] The intestinal status information derived by the analysis unit (11) refers to the current intestinal microorganism (microbiome) status information of the companion animal (40), and may refer to intestinal microbiome analysis result information (intestinal microorganism analysis result information) derived by performing intestinal microbiome analysis. Such intestinal status information may include at least one of information on the type, distribution, clustering, and ratio of intestinal microorganisms. Here, the information on the distribution (distribution), clustering, and ratio may refer to, for example, information according to the type of intestinal microorganism (i.e., information on the distribution, clustering, and ratio by type of microorganism), or may refer to information according to beneficial bacteria and harmful bacteria (i.e., information on the distribution, clustering, and ratio of beneficial bacteria and harmful bacteria).

[0063] In addition, the analysis unit (11) can derive not only the current intestinal condition information of the companion animal (40) but also the current disease information of the companion animal (40) through the intestinal microbiome analysis of the collected feces of the companion animal (40). Here, the current disease information is, for example, information on a disease (disease) that the companion animal (40) currently has, and in particular, may mean information on the type of disease that the companion animal has. The current disease information may be referred to differently by terms such as current disease type information.

[0064] The construction unit (13) can construct (generate) a microbiome-based cluster distribution map by analyzing fecal samples of multiple companion animals. The analysis unit (11) can derive intestinal condition information of the companion animal (40) using the cluster distribution map constructed by the construction unit (13). In addition, the analysis unit (11) can derive intestinal condition information and current disease information of the companion animal (40) using the constructed cluster distribution map.

[0065] The cluster distribution map constructed by the construction unit (13) may refer to information that maps cluster information (information on cluster distribution) of microbiomes (microorganisms) derived by species, age group, weight, and disease (illness) of the companion animal based on analysis of feces collected from multiple companion animals.

[0066] Specifically, the construction unit (13) collects fecal samples from multiple companion animals to construct (create) a cluster distribution map, classifies the collected fecal samples into a first group including fecal samples from normal companion animals and a second group including fecal samples from diseased companion animals, and performs intestinal microbiome analysis on each of the first group and the second group, thereby deriving intestinal microorganism analysis result information of each of the normal companion animals and the diseased companion animals, and constructs (creates) the cluster distribution map based on the two derived intestinal microorganism analysis result information.

[0067] When collecting fecal samples from multiple companion animals, the construction unit (13) can collect fecal samples by species, age group, and weight of the multiple companion animals. In the above description, a normal companion animal may refer to a companion animal that does not have a disease (disease), and here, the disease may be referred to by other terms such as disease, metabolic disease, digestive metabolic disease, etc. A companion animal with a disease group may refer to a companion animal with a disease that has at least one type of disease (disease).

[0068] The cluster distribution map constructed by the construction unit (13) may include a first map which is a map regarding the microbial community distribution of normal group companion animals and a second map which is a map regarding the microbial community distribution of disease group companion animals. The first map may include pie chart information of a microbiome analysis map according to species, age, and weight in normal dog breeds (i.e., normal group companion animals), and the second map may include pie chart information of a microbiome analysis map according to species, age, and weight in dog breeds with metabolic diseases (i.e., disease group companion animals).

[0069] A pie chart, also called a circle graph or a circle graph, is a graph that expresses the composition ratio by category as a sector on a unit circle. In this graph, the central angle of the sector is drawn in proportion to the composition ratio.

[0070] The analysis unit (11) can derive information on the intestinal condition of the companion animal (40) (i.e., information on the results of microbial analysis) by performing an intestinal microbiome analysis of the companion animal (40) using, for example, a pre-manufactured diagnostic device (20), and then compare the derived intestinal condition of the companion animal (40) with a cluster distribution map constructed by the construction unit (13), thereby deriving current disease information of the companion animal (40) based on the constructed cluster distribution map (in particular, current disease information including information on whether the companion animal (40) currently has a disease and the type of disease it has if it does).

[0071] Thereafter, the service provider (12) can provide a customized service to the companion animal (40) based on the intestinal condition information of the companion animal (40) derived from the analysis unit (11). In particular, the service provider (12) can provide a customized service to the companion animal (40) to the user terminal (30) based on the intestinal condition information of the companion animal (40) derived from the analysis unit (11) and the current disease information of the companion animal (40). Through this, the user can receive and use a customized service to the companion animal (40) from the service provider (12).

[0072] The service providing unit (12) can provide the user (to the user terminal (30)) with customized recipe information that matches the intestinal condition information of the companion animal (40) derived from the analysis unit (11) or information on a customized pet food product manufactured based on the customized recipe information as a customized service. In particular, the service providing unit (12) can provide customized recipe information as a customized service that matches the current condition information of the companion animal (40) based on the intestinal condition information of the companion animal (40) derived from the analysis unit (11) and the current condition information of the companion animal (40) including current disease information, to the user terminal (30), or can provide information on a customized pet food product manufactured based on the customized recipe information as a customized service to the user terminal (30).

[0073] At this time, the customized pet food product may be, for example, a pet food product (i.e., pet food (food)) manufactured by a pet food manufacturing unit (not shown) in the device (10). The pet food manufacturing unit (not shown) may manufacture (create, produce) a pet food product corresponding to the customized recipe information based on the customized recipe information provided by the service providing unit (12). Here, the customized pet food product may include, for example, fresh feed (raw food and cooked food) manufactured based on fresh ingredients (i.e., fresh ingredients corresponding to at least one of domestic, organic, and eco-friendly). That is, the customized pet food product may include feed (fresh feed), but is not limited thereto, and the types of customized pet food products may include various types of pet product groups such as feed, snacks, and nutritional supplements.

[0074] The user terminal (30) can receive a customized service from the service provider (12). If the customized service provided by the service provider (12) is customized recipe information, for example, the user can directly prepare food containing ingredients, nutrients, etc. included in the customized recipe information based on the customized recipe information and then provide the food as customized pet food to the pet (40) so that the pet (40) can eat it.

[0075] Alternatively, if the customized service provided by the service provider (12) is information on a customized pet food product, the user can, for example, check the information on the customized pet food product provided, and if he or she wishes to purchase it later, select the information on the customized pet food product and then perform payment. At this time, for example, if the control unit (17) within the device (10) detects that payment for the information on the customized pet food product has been completed at the user terminal (30), the control unit (17) within the device (10) can cause the customized pet food product corresponding to the information on the customized pet food product to be manufactured by the pet food manufacturing unit (not shown) within the device (10), and then deliver the customized pet food product manufactured by the pet food manufacturing unit (not shown) to the user, and thereafter, the user can have his or her pet (40) eat the delivered customized pet food product.

[0076] The acquisition unit (14) can acquire companion animal information including at least one (information about at least one) of the breed (type), age, weight, eating habits, and activity level of the companion animal (40) from the user terminal (30). That is, the companion animal information may include at least one of breed information, age information, weight information, eating habits information, and activity level information. Here, the activity level information is information related to the activity level of the companion animal (40) acquired through a wearable device that can be worn on a body part of the companion animal (40), and may include, for example, information such as the number of steps taken by the companion animal (40). In addition, the companion animal information may further include, in addition to the aforementioned information (breed, age, weight, eating habits, and activity level), information on the presence or absence of a disease, information on the type of disease present if a disease is present, and information on the presence or absence of allergies.

[0077] The acquisition unit (14) can store, for example, companion animal information acquired from the user terminal (30) in the database unit (15). The database unit (15) can store not only companion animal information acquired from the user terminal (30), but also various types of information considered in the device (10).

[0078] The service provider (12) can provide a customized service by considering the intestinal condition information and current disease information described above, for example, and can also provide a customized service to the user (to the user terminal (30)) by further considering the companion animal information obtained from the acquisition unit (14).

[0079] When a subscription management unit (16) receives a subscription request for information on customized pet food products from a user terminal (30), the subscription management unit (16) can regularly deliver a customized pet food product (i.e., a customized pet food product corresponding to the information on the customized pet food product for which a subscription request has been made by the user) to the user on a delivery date specified by the user.

[0080] Here, information on customized pet food products may refer to information on customized pet food products provided as a customized service by the service provider (12). For example, when a user applies for a regular subscription to information on customized pet food products, the user may enter regular subscription application information, and at this time, the regular subscription application information may include at least one of a desired delivery date (delivery date), a desired delivery cycle, a desired delivery location, and a regular payment method.

[0081] Accordingly, when a subscription management unit (16) receives subscription information from a user terminal (30) regarding information on a customized pet food product, the subscription management unit (16) may automatically perform payment using a regular payment method on a desired delivery date (a delivery date pre-set by the user) based on the subscription application information, for example, at a desired delivery cycle, and then deliver the customized pet food product to the desired delivery address. For example, the desired delivery date may be set to any date from the 1st to the 31st, such as the 1st, 5th, or 10th, and the desired delivery cycle may be set to, for example, every 2 weeks, 1 month, or 2 months.

[0082] The control unit (17) can control the operation of each part within the device (10). In addition, the control unit (17) can control the operation of each user terminal (30) and diagnostic device (20) linked to the device (10) via a network (5).

[0083] According to the above, the device (10) analyzes the intestinal microbiome (intestinal microorganism) data according to the species, age, and weight of the companion animal (40) to systematize (database) the information on the distribution of beneficial and harmful bacteria species, and further analyzes the correlation with diseases based on the information thus constructed (platformed), thereby constructing (generating) a cluster distribution map, and based on the generated cluster distribution map, it is possible to manufacture individually customized functional customized pet food products (e.g., feed) customized 1:1 for each companion animal (40), and to provide the pet food products manufactured in this manner as a customized service to the user, thereby providing the user with a more advanced customized pet healthcare (health management) service compared to the prior art.

[0084] At this time, the construction unit (13) can construct (generate) a microbiome-based cluster distribution map by analyzing fecal samples from multiple companion animals, as previously mentioned. A detailed description of this is as follows.

[0085] In order to provide a customized service, the construction unit (13) may perform the following steps when constructing a cluster distribution map: i) a first step of establishing an analysis base by securing intestinal microbiome samples by species, age group, and weight of multiple companion animals, ii) a second step of analyzing the cluster distribution of beneficial intestinal microorganisms using next generation sequencing (NGS), iii) a third step of analyzing the distribution of intestinal microorganisms associated with diseases, and iv) a fourth step of organizing data and platformizing the microbial map (i.e., cluster distribution map).

[0086] <In Stage 1>

[0087] In the first stage, the construction unit (13) collects fecal samples from various companion animals by species, age group, and weight, for example, through a company, and classifies (additionally classifies) fecal samples from dog species (companions in the disease group) that have a disease (metabolic disease) among the collected fecal samples, thereby securing the intestinal microbiome of each of the normal group companion animals and the companion animals in the disease group and establishing conditions for the analysis sample. At this time, the construction unit (13) can prepare fecal samples from companion animals in the disease group that have two or more metabolic diseases (for example, diseases such as constipation and diarrhea) and fecal samples from companion animals in the normal group by differentiating them from each other in the first stage. That is, in the first stage, when fecal samples of multiple companion animals are collected, the construction unit (13) can classify the collected fecal samples into a first group and a second group, where the first group may mean a group including fecal samples of normal companion animals that do not have a disease, and the second group may mean a group including fecal samples of companion animals that have a disease (for example, two or more diseases).

[0088] <In the second stage>

[0089] The construction unit (13) can, in the second stage, analyze the distribution map of intestinal beneficial microorganisms using next generation sequencing (NGS). In relation to this, a next generation sequencing (NGS) analysis can be performed using multiple collected stool samples to derive NGS analysis results, and the distribution map of intestinal beneficial microorganisms can be analyzed and listed from the derived NGS analysis results.

[0090] In particular, the construction unit (13) can derive the NSG analysis results of the normal group companion animals by performing NGS analysis on the fecal samples of the first group in the second step, and can analyze and list the distribution of the intestinal beneficial bacteria of the normal group companion animals (i.e., the first distribution map) from the derived NSG analysis results of the normal group companion animals. In addition, the construction unit (13) can derive the NSG analysis results of the disease group companion animals by performing NGS analysis on the fecal samples of the second group in the second step, and can analyze and list the distribution of the intestinal beneficial bacteria of the disease group companion animals (i.e., the second distribution map) from the derived NSG analysis results of the disease group companion animals.

[0091] Here, beneficial intestinal bacteria may include, for example, Lactobacillus, Firmicutes, Enterococcus faecium, Clostridium, and Proteobacteria. At this time, Lactobacillus refers to beneficial bacteria that help the intestinal environment as probiotics, Firmicutes refers to microorganisms related to dietary habits, Enterococcus faecium refers to microorganisms that help maintain the intestinal environment but can develop antibiotic resistance when excessive, Clostridium refers to microorganisms related to intestinal diseases, and Proteobacteria refers to microorganisms related to intestinal inflammation.

[0092] <In the third stage>

[0093] The construction unit (13) can analyze the distribution of intestinal microorganisms associated with a disease in the third stage, and for this purpose, the first distribution map and the second distribution map derived in the second stage (i.e., the distribution map of intestinal beneficial bacteria of a normal group companion animal and the distribution map of intestinal beneficial bacteria of a disease group companion animal) can be compared.

[0094] <In Step 4>

[0095] The construction unit (13) can organize data and platformize a microbial map (i.e., a cluster distribution map) in the fourth step, at which time, i) a pie chart of a microbiome analysis map according to species, age, and weight for a normal group companion animal can be created (generated) as a ‘first map, which is a map of microbial community distribution for a normal group companion animal’, and ii) a pie chart of a microbiome analysis map according to species, age, and weight for a disease group companion animal can be created (generated) as a ‘second map, which is a map of microbial community distribution for a disease group companion animal’. In this way, the construction unit (13) can create (generate) a cluster distribution map including the first map and the second map by creating (generating) the first map and the second map.

[0096] In addition, the construction unit (13) can list the microbial communities that differ between the first map and the second map by comparing and analyzing the first map generated corresponding to the first group and the second map generated corresponding to the second group (i.e., comparing and analyzing the microbiome analysis results for the normal group companion animals and the disease group companion animals, respectively).

[0097] The analysis unit (11) can derive, for example, current disease information of the companion animal (40) by comparing (contrasting) the intestinal condition information of the companion animal (40) derived using the diagnostic device (20) (i.e., intestinal microbiome analysis information of the companion animal (40)) with the cluster distribution map constructed by the construction unit (13), and thereafter, the service provision unit (12) can provide a customized service to the user based on the current disease information and intestinal condition information derived from the analysis unit (11).

[0098] The present invention (i.e., the present system (100) and the present device (10)) can manufacture (manufacture, develop) and provide a diagnostic device (20) capable of performing microbiome analysis based on microorganisms on a companion animal (40) through NGS analysis based on companion animal feces, and by using this diagnostic device (20), it is possible to derive intestinal condition information and current disease information based on intestinal microbiome analysis of a companion animal (40) anytime and anywhere, and provide customized services based thereon.

[0099] In general, studies conducted in the past have focused on humans, analyzing the intestinal microbiome and forming a microbial community map. In contrast, the present invention (the system (100) and the device (10)) analyzes the intestinal microbiome based on feces collected from a companion animal (40), thereby analyzing five major beneficial bacteria and two types of harmful bacteria in the companion animal (40), thereby deriving metabolic and immune diseases (current disease information) of the companion animal (40).

[0100] The present invention can provide a technology for promoting the health of companion animals according to their life cycles, rather than research on laboratory animals, through disease-specific research based on classification of bio-information for the purpose of collecting microbiota communities of companion animals, and can provide users with a customized solution (custom service) for their companion animals (40) based on analysis of the characteristics of the intestinal microbiota community and disease correlation according to the species, age, etc. of the companion animals.

[0101] By providing this service, the present invention (i.e., the present system (100) and the present device (10)) can improve the mental quality of life of companion animal owners by promoting the health and extending the lifespan of companion animals through the construction of a microbial ecosystem map. In addition, the present invention can take the lead in technology for companion animal healthcare technology, and can manufacture and provide individually customized functional and prescription pet food that can provide insufficient nutrients for each breed and age group based on the basic intestinal microbiome information of platformed dog breeds. In addition, the present invention can provide a diagnostic device (20) in the present invention as a disease diagnostic device linked to a biomarker and a disease for the development of a health diagnostic device for companion animals. The present invention can generate intestinal microbiome distribution data (i.e., a first map) by species and age of normal companion dogs and intestinal microbiome distribution data (i.e., a second map) in companion dogs with metabolic diseases, and by comparing the first map and the second map, can generate comparative data (i.e., information listing differential microbial communities) on intestinal microbiome distribution between normal companion dogs and companion dogs with diseases.

[0102] <Regarding the relationship between pet diet and intestinal microflora>

[0103] Meanwhile, the relationship between pet diet and intestinal microorganisms is as follows.

[0104] The number of people raising companion dogs is rapidly increasing worldwide, including in Korea. As people increasingly view their dogs as members of the family, they are increasingly providing them with homemade food and vegetarian diets, replacing commercially available products. However, this poses a risk of exposing companion dogs to various diseases, requiring careful understanding and caution.

[0105] Dogs have carnivorous characteristics, such as a lack of salivary amylase and a short gastrointestinal tract, but during domestication, they acquired three genes (AMY2B, MGAM, and SGLT1) that enable them to digest carbohydrates and absorb glucose. Based on this, there is a view that dogs, which diverged from the gray wolf (Canis lupus) and entered the human habitat 15,000 years ago, should be classified as omnivorous, unlike in the past. Previous studies have shown that diets containing carbohydrates increased the pH of stool samples and decreased ammonia, whereas dogs given a high-protein diet based on a byproduct produced when melting pork fat showed increased pH and persistent diarrhea.

[0106] Furthermore, high-protein diets have been shown to decrease volatile fatty acids due to a decrease in intestinal metabolites such as propionic acid and acetic acid, while increasing branched-chain fatty acids. In particular, a study reported that dogs fed a high-protein diet showed increased concentrations of calprotectin, a marker of inflammatory bowel disease.

[0107] Many animals, including dogs, have a huge population of more than 1,000 species of microorganisms in their gastrointestinal tract (GIT). The intestinal microbiota consists of bacteria, archaea, and viruses that exist in the GIT and mainly form a symbiotic relationship with the host.

[0108] Intestinal microorganisms are involved in the body's basic functions and direct / indirect physiological functions by influencing metabolic activity, protection from pathogenic bacteria, and the immune system.

[0109] In particular, the biogeographic characteristics of the gut microbiota show various changes depending on the diet, and the density of the community shows the characteristic of increasing along the length of the GIT. When bacterial phyla are analyzed by 16S rRNA analysis of dog fecal samples, the dominant groups in most dogs are Firmicutes, Proteobacteria, Fusobacteria, Bacteroidetes, and Actinobacteria, but unique, stable, and different communities can also be identified depending on the individual.

[0110] Diet is the most important factor influencing the composition of the gut microbiota, and changes in gut microbiota composition are known to influence the production of metabolites. Furthermore, intestinal metabolites are important factors that can influence systemic immune regulation and the brain through retrograde transport, leading to numerous studies based on gut-brain bidirectional communication.

[0111] The diet of companion dogs in Korea started from providing leftover food in the past and has evolved into nutritionally balanced commercial foods such as kibble, and regarding the composition of intestinal microorganisms according to natural diet and kibble diet, the number, species richness, and diversity of intestinal microorganism communities were significantly higher in the group of dogs that ate a natural diet consisting of meat (approximately 90%) and vegetables (approximately 10%) compared to the group that ate a commercial diet.

[0112] Many animals form a huge gut microbiome community that is 10 times the size of their genes, but these have evolved into different lifestyles and are broadly classified as omnivorous, carnivorous, and herbivorous. This provides basic information that diet affects the composition and changes of gut microbiomes, and accordingly, a dietary approach based on an accurate understanding of companion animals is necessary. Accordingly, the present invention aims to provide customized services (e.g., provision of customized pet food products) that are tailored to the current gut condition information and current disease information of a user's companion animal by analyzing the gut microbiome (microorganisms) using feces collected from companion animals (40).

[0113] In particular, in order to provide a customized service, for example, after the intestinal condition information of the companion animal (40) is derived, the analysis unit (11) in the device (10) can derive current disease information including information on whether the companion animal (40) currently has a disease and the type of disease it has by comparing the derived intestinal condition information with the cluster distribution map constructed in the construction unit (13).After the current intestinal condition information and current disease information of the companion animal (40) are derived from the analysis unit (11), the service provision unit (12) i) identifies the microbial community distribution information of the matching companion animal (i.e., the community distribution information of the beneficial and harmful bacteria of the matching companion animal, including information on the type, number, and specific gravity of each beneficial and harmful bacteria of the matching companion animal) that matches the current condition of the companion animal (40) (which includes information on the breed, age, and weight of the companion animal (40) previously input from the user terminal (30), and the current disease information derived from the analysis unit (11)) based on the cluster distribution map constructed in the construction unit (13), and then ii) compares the microbial community distribution information of the identified matching companion animal with the intestinal condition information of the companion animal (40) (i.e., the current microbial analysis result information of the companion animal (40), including information on the type, number, and specific gravity of each beneficial and harmful bacteria currently existing in the intestines of the companion animal (40)). By comparing with the microbial community distribution information, information on the types and number of beneficial bacteria that are lacking or excessive (excessive) in the current companion animal (40) and information on the types and number of harmful bacteria that currently exist in the companion animal (40) are derived, and then iii) as a customized service, customized recipe information including nutrient information that increases (satisfies) the types and number of beneficial bacteria that are lacking in the current companion animal (40) (in particular, increases the types and number of beneficial bacteria included in the microbial community distribution information of the identified matching companion animal), reduces the types and number of beneficial bacteria that are excessive (excessive) in the current companion animal (40), or reduces harmful bacteria that currently exist in the companion animal (40) is generated and provided to the user terminal (30), or information on a customized pet food product manufactured based on the customized recipe information including the above nutrient information can be provided to the user terminal (30).

[0114] Meanwhile, the diversity of gut microbiota gradually declines with age, which is known to result in a decline in physical function, cognitive decline, and loss of physiological function. In particular, the decline in gut microbiota associated with aging is associated with immunological aging and the persistence of chronic inflammation. Many diseases induce an imbalance in gut microbiota by affecting or being affected by it, contributing to the progression of the disease and the aggravation and acceleration of symptoms.

[0115] Imbalance of gut microbiota and resulting changes in metabolites affecting innate immunity and immune regulation can simultaneously affect diarrhea. Previous studies have analyzed the gut microbiota of healthy dogs and dogs with non-hemorrhagic diarrhea (NHD), acute hemorrhagic diarrhea (AHD), or inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and determined that this was due to changes in Firmicutes, Proteobacteria, and Actinobacteria.

[0116] Changes in the gut microbiota also affect short-chain fatty acid (SCFA) production. In particular, decreases in Erysipelotrichaceae, Ruminococcus, and Blautia may decrease the production of SCFAs involved in immune function regulation. Furthermore, decreases in Faecalibacterium and unclassified Ruminococcaceae and increases in C. perfringens in acute diarrhea may contribute to decreased propionic acid and increased butyric acid.

[0117] A characteristic of the domestic pet care product market is that individuals and small and medium-sized enterprises, including startups, are driving the development of the industrial ecosystem. An analysis of related patent applicants revealed that large corporations account for only 2%, while individuals and small and medium-sized enterprises account for 88%.

[0118] The pet care market can be broadly divided into three sectors: 1) pet humanization, which refers to the integration of companion animals into the family; 2) pet tech, which incorporates cutting-edge technologies like IoT and AI; and 3) innovative veterinary medicine, which provides rapid diagnosis and treatment. Among these, the pet health sector is gaining attention, with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups increasing development projects in the functional food sector, including pet food and functional feed, which are emerging as growth engines, including food made from human ingredients.

[0119] Furthermore, wearable devices are being developed to easily diagnose disease risks in advance through digital technology and big data, and various studies are being conducted to manufacture new functional feeds based on analysis of the components of the intestinal microbiome of companion animals for the purpose of manufacturing functional feeds. However, most of these feeds are made with complex nutrients and natural ingredients.

[0120] Additionally, research is underway to manufacture safer feed by improving health and immunity through customized individual feed for each pet based on their different intestinal microbiomes, but research on early diagnosis related to disease outbreaks is in its initial stages.

[0121] However, most studies have been developed based on techniques for diagnosing human diseases, and their limitations stem from the need for invasive blood sampling. Furthermore, due to differences between individuals and the distribution of intestinal microbes depending on feed composition and type, the development of a customized analysis system capable of addressing individual nutritional deficiencies based on microbial community analysis is required.

[0122] Accordingly, the present invention (i.e., the system (100) and the device (10)) is a non-invasive method for checking the health status of a companion animal, and provides a technology that can identify the health status of a companion animal (i.e., intestinal status information and current disease information, etc.) based on the analysis of the microbiome using the companion animal's feces to establish a microbiome platform analysis map based on the investigation of the intestinal microorganism distribution and community of the companion animal necessary for manufacturing individually customized pet food for the companion animal.

[0123] This device (10) can manufacture and provide a diagnostic device (20) as a companion animal intestinal microorganism diagnostic kit product, and specifically, can manufacture and provide a diagnostic device (20) as a stool-based diagnostic device and a biomarker through NGS analysis, can platform the types and distribution of intestinal microorganisms, cluster map, etc. based on data through companion animal intestinal microorganism diagnosis, and can provide a disease-related customized dietary solution (customized service) based on the constructed cluster map.

[0124] This device (10) can design a product and design a safety product by applying customized requirements for user convenience when manufacturing a diagnostic device (20) that is a companion animal intestinal microorganism diagnostic kit, and can develop and apply biomarkers for detecting five major microorganisms.

[0125] This device (10) can, for example, generate a pie chart of the ratio of beneficial bacteria for fecal samples collected from dog breeds by breed, age, and weight (normal group companion animals), generate a pie chart of the ratio of harmful bacteria for fecal samples collected from dog breeds by breed, age, and weight (normal group companion animals), perform NGS analysis on fecal samples collected from dog breeds with digestive and metabolic diseases such as diarrhea and constipation (disease group companion animals), and then platformize a cluster distribution map based on a healthy dog breed and age group intestinal microbiome database (i.e., generate a first map) and platformize a cluster distribution map regarding the distribution ratio of microbiomes in diseased dog breeds (i.e., generate a second map), thereby constructing a cluster distribution map including the first map and the second map as a result.

[0126] In addition, in relation to the provision of a customized dietary solution (customized service) for each disease, the device (10) can provide a customized dietary solution suitable for the companion animal (40) as a customized service through NGS analysis of the feces of the companion animal (40), for example, and, in addition, if the companion animal (40) has a disease (if it is detected that current disease information exists), a customized prescription diet (for example, customized recipe information) linked to the disease the companion animal (40) currently has can be generated and provided.

[0127] This device (10) provides a diagnostic device (20) capable of diagnosing intestinal microorganisms based on feces collection. Considering that most processes at home and abroad only proceed up to analysis, are not user-friendly, and targeted customized solutions for each companion animal are absent, based on this, a diagnostic device (20) can be manufactured (developed) and provided as a feces collection-based intestinal microorganism diagnostic kit linked to the development of a customized solution (diet), thereby making great progress in the companion animal healthcare industry and enhancing competitiveness.

[0128] In addition, the present device (10) can express, for example, the distribution ratio of five or more beneficial bacteria species in the intestines of companion animals, the distribution ratio of at least two or more harmful bacteria species, and the analysis ratio of beneficial bacteria in samples of at least two types of digestive metabolic diseases as a pie chart through the platformization of the companion animal intestinal microbial community map and microbiome information (i.e., through the construction of a cluster distribution map), and can platformize the cluster distribution map. Considering that this has not been attempted domestically or internationally, it is possible to provide a customized precision diagnosis information system for companion animals, which can greatly contribute to the lifespan and health of companion animals, and synergy with the Dongbul Hospital linked to this can be expected.

[0129] When measuring the ratio of beneficial bacteria through NGS analysis based on feces samples collected from multiple companion animals, the number of measurement samples may be, for example, 20 (animals) for a pie chart of beneficial bacteria ratio, 20 (animals) for a pie chart of harmful bacteria ratio, 10 (animals) for analysis of beneficial bacteria for at least two types of digestive metabolic diseases, and 30 (animals) for construction of an intestinal microbiome analysis map.

[0130] When constructing a cluster distribution map, the construction unit (13) can, for example, create a pie chart of the ratio of beneficial bacteria and harmful bacteria for normal companion animals and a pie chart of the ratio of harmful bacteria for diseased companion animals through NGS analysis, and can also, for example, construct (create, produce) a cluster distribution map as an intestinal microbiome map by analyzing the cluster distribution rates of at least five or more beneficial bacteria.

[0131] In particular, the construction unit (13) can i) generate a pie chart of the ratio of beneficial bacteria corresponding to the distribution ratio of 5 or more beneficial bacteria species in the intestines through NGS analysis of stool samples collected from dog breeds by breed, age group, and weight, and the number of measurement samples can be 20, and ii) generate a pie chart of the ratio of harmful bacteria corresponding to the distribution ratio of at least 2 or more harmful bacteria through NGS analysis of stool samples collected from dog breeds by age group and weight, and the number of measurement samples can be 20. In addition, the construction unit (13) can generate a harmful bacteria ratio (disease group) pie chart corresponding to the beneficial bacteria analysis ratio in samples of at least two types of digestive metabolic diseases through NGS analysis of fecal samples from breeds of dogs with digestive metabolic diseases such as diarrhea and constipation, and at this time, the number of measurement samples can be 10, and iv) can build (generate, produce) a cluster distribution map corresponding to the intestinal microbiome analysis map through platformization of a cluster distribution map based on a database of intestinal microbiomes by healthy breed and age group and analysis of the microbiome cluster distribution ratio in diseased breeds, and at this time, the number of measurement samples can be considered to be 30.

[0132] This device (10) can establish a platform for a gut microbiome database of companion animals in normal and disease groups by constructing a cluster distribution map, and further, can manufacture a functional prescription pet food containing disease-specific supplements that show differences between the normal and disease groups as a customized pet food product tailored to companion animals (40) and provide it to users.

[0133] This device (10) can platformize companion animal intestinal microorganism data by constructing a cluster distribution map, and based on the basic intestinal microbiome information of platformed dog breeds (e.g., the first map), can manufacture and provide individually customized functional and prescription pet food that can supplement insufficient nutrients for each breed and age group as a customized pet food product, thereby providing users with a customized pet food product that is proven in numbers rather than a vague customized product as before.

[0134] In addition, the present device (10) can manufacture (produce) and provide a customized pet food product (e.g., feed) as a customized functional prescription based on intestinal microorganism diagnosis. While most of the pet foods on the market are mass-produced feeds that are not customized based on basic manufacturing methods, the customized pet food product (e.g., feed) provided by the present device (10) can be a product (e.g., feed) that is manufactured one-on-one customized for each individual based on intestinal microorganism diagnosis of the pet (40). The present device (10) can manufacture and provide such customized pet food products to the user, thereby enabling the pet (40) to be fed the most optimized feed without nutritional deficiency or loss.

[0135] FIG. 2 is a drawing for explaining the process of constructing a cluster distribution map by a construction unit (13) in a pet-tailored service providing device (10) based on intestinal microbiome analysis according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0136] Referring to FIG. 2, for example, the construction unit (13) can perform microbiome analysis using samples (feces samples) of each of multiple companion animals based on the following comparative analysis and derive results.

[0137] The construction unit (13) collects (collects) fecal samples from multiple companion animals, performs intestinal microbiome analysis on the collected fecal samples by species, age group, and weight, and classifies and analyzes the types and community distribution of beneficial and harmful bacteria through this, and thereby platforms a community distribution map of microorganisms existing in the intestines, thereby constructing a community distribution map. In addition, the construction unit (13) can compare and analyze the intestinal microbial distribution of companion animals with digestive diseases (i.e., Map 2 distribution) with a platformed microbiome map derived from a normal companion animal (e.g., Map 1), and thereby platformizes a disease-specific microbiome map (i.e., Map 2).

[0138] This device (10) can identify the nutritional balance of each individual dog breed and even among dog breeds based on a cluster distribution map constructed to include the first map and the second map, thereby enabling the production of a one-to-one customized prescription diet (custom pet food product).

[0139] At this time, the construction unit (13) can collect (secure) fecal samples by species, age, and weight of companion animals, for example, through corporate cooperation and its current service customers. In addition, the construction unit (13) can derive the distribution ratio of beneficial and harmful bacteria in the fecal samples by performing NGS analysis on multiple collected fecal samples, and can construct (create, produce) a cluster distribution map, which is a microbial distribution map, based on this. At this time, the construction unit (13) can also construct the cluster distribution map by applying, for example, artificial intelligence analysis technology based on deep learning data analysis (i.e., applying a pre-learned artificial intelligence model) when constructing (performing platformization) the cluster distribution map.

[0140] At this time, the artificial intelligence (AI) model used by the construction unit (13) may refer to a machine learning (ML) model, a neural network model (artificial neural network model), a neuro-fuzzy model, etc. In addition, various neural network models that have already been known or will be developed in the future, such as, for example, a convolutional neural network (CNN), a recurrent neural network (RNN), and a deep neural network, may be applied to the artificial intelligence model.

[0141] In addition, the construction unit (13) can be used as basic data for manufacturing customized functional prescription pet food in the future by creating a pie chart and platforming it through comparative analysis of deficient and different microbial communities in healthy breeds through analysis of fecal samples of breeds with diseases.

[0142] In addition, the construction unit (13) can analyze the intestinal microbiota community map and the relationship (correlation) between the microorganisms and diseases by analyzing, for example, the fecal samples of multiple companion animals. At this time, the construction unit (13) can derive a correlation between the intestinal microorganisms and the companion animal's eating habits and diseases, for example, 'intestinal microorganisms can affect health status, and intestinal microorganisms can change and be formed by eating habits.'

[0143] For example, the following types of microorganisms exist that can affect the health of companion animals and can be changed / formed by dietary habits. The [name-microorganism type-role and characteristics] of each microorganism are as follows. That is, the microorganisms that affect the health of pets and are affected by eating habits may include: 1) Fimicutes - 5 major microbial phyla - microorganisms related to eating habits, 2) Bacteroidetes - 5 major microbial phyla - microorganisms related to eating habits, 3) Proteobacteria - 5 major microbial phyla - microorganisms related to intestinal inflammation, 4) Clostridium perfringens - Firmicutes - microorganisms related to intestinal diseases, 5) Blautia - Firmicutes - beneficial bacteria that protect the intestines, 6) Biffidobacterium Lactobacillus - Actinobacteria - beneficial bacteria that help the intestinal environment as probiotics, 7) Enterococcus faecium - Firmicutes - microorganisms that help maintain the intestinal environment but can develop antibiotic resistance if excessive.

[0144] For example, in the case of microorganisms that provide results (analysis results), the construction unit (13) can select microorganisms that affect the intestinal microbial environment based on the five major representative microorganisms (Firmicutes, Bacteroidetes, Actinobacteria, Proteobacteria, Fusobacteria).

[0145] <Firmicutes & Bacteroidetes>

[0146] The abundance of Bacteroidetes was found to be higher in the high-fiber diet group than in the no-fiber diet group, and the abundance of Firmicutes was found to be higher in the no-fiber diet group than in the high-fiber diet group. This device (10) can be utilized as a prescription diet concept by manufacturing an appropriate recipe according to each value.

[0147] Bacteroidetes is a microbial family that shows differences in microbial abundance according to high-carbohydrate and low-carbohydrate diets.

[0148] In addition, it was shown that the number of Firmicutes tends to increase during a high-carbohydrate, low-carb diet. Based on this, if, for example, the intestinal condition information of a companion animal (40) is derived as 'the number of microbial Firmicutes distributed in the intestines exceeds the preset number', the device (10) can provide information on a customized pet food product corresponding to a low-carbohydrate prescription diet as a customized service (e.g., a customized pet food product), or manufacture and provide a customized pet food product corresponding to a low-carbohydrate prescription diet.

[0149] For example, the construction unit (13) can derive the analysis result that, as a result of analyzing the fecal samples of multiple companion animals, the distribution of intestinal microorganisms is different depending on each diet, and their roles are also different, so the best condition for companion animals is a state in which neither Firmicutes nor Bacteroidetes is over-distributed, but rather a state in which they are balanced at 5:5.

[0150] <proteobacteria>

[0151] Anaerobiospirllum, a microorganism belonging to the Proteobacteria genus, causes diarrhea and bacteremia in immunocompromised individuals. However, it was found that dogs harboring this microorganism do not pose a risk factor for infection. This suggests that nutritional imbalances may occur in pet food production based on human standards. Therefore, it is crucial to ensure that pet food is formulated after thorough analysis by pet companies with specialized pet knowledge and expertise.

[0152] Clostridium perfringens

[0153] A correlation with Clostridium perfringens was found in companion animals with acute diarrhea, and periodic testing may help prevent and manage diarrhea by detecting increased levels of this microorganism.

[0154] In the case of Clostridium perfringens, it is a microorganism that requires caution as it causes food poisoning in humans, but in terms of companion animals, it is a microorganism that most companion animals have in their intestines on average, and it can be said to be a microorganism that causes problems when its number increases rapidly. Therefore, for example, if the intestinal condition information of a companion animal (40) is derived as, for example, 'the number of Clostridium perfringens is greater than the critical allowable value', the device (10) determines that there is a risk of a health problem occurring in the companion animal due to the microorganism, and can manufacture and provide a customized pet food product having nutrients that can reduce the number of Clostridium perfringens.

[0155] <blautia>

[0156] Among microorganisms, Blautia prevents intestinal inflammatory diseases in companion animals, protects the intestines from pathogens with its anti-inflammatory function, participates in the production of SCFAs involved in regulating immune function, and has the characteristic of increasing when a high-protein diet is fed. Therefore, for example, when the intestinal condition information of a companion animal (40) is 'the number of Blautia is less than a preset number,' the present device (10) can provide customized recipe information corresponding to a high-protein diet or customized pet food products capable of a high-protein diet to the user terminal (30) so that Blautia increases.

[0157] <Bifidobacterium & Lactobacillus>

[0158] This is a probiotic, which is a beneficial bacteria that is beneficial to the intestinal environment of a companion animal, and probiotics (lactic acid bacteria) are very famous beneficial bacteria and can be said to belong to the intestinal microorganisms that must maintain microbial balance. Therefore, for example, when the intestinal condition information of a companion animal (40) is 'the number of Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus is less than a preset number,' the device (10) can provide customized recipe information that can increase the number or customized pet food products that can provide a high-protein diet to the user terminal (30).

[0159] <Enterococcus faecium>

[0160] The microorganism in question is a microorganism that helps maintain the intestinal environment of a companion animal, but if it becomes an excessively dominant bacteria, it has the characteristic of having antibiotic resistance and reducing the efficacy of medication taken by the companion animal. Therefore, for example, when the intestinal condition information of a companion animal (40) is 'the number of Enterococcus faecium is outside the preset allowable range,' the device (10) can provide customized recipe information or a customized pet food product that allows a high-protein diet so that the number can fall within the preset allowable range to the user terminal (30).

[0161] Meanwhile, it has been proven that the microbiome of companion animals and the microbiome of humans are structurally and functionally similar, which suggests that when conducting research on the microbiome of companion animals, it is possible to refer to the results of human microbiome research, which has many precedents. Therefore, the present device (10) can perform microbiome analysis of companion animals by referring to the results of conventional human microbiome research, and in consideration of the close relationship between intestinal microorganisms and eating habits, it can provide a one-to-one customized functional prescription diet to the companion animal (40) based on the results of the microbiome analysis of the companion animal (40).

[0162] This device (10) can be used to platform (build) a cluster analysis map (i.e., cluster distribution map) of the intestinal microbiome according to the breed, age group, weight, etc. of companion animals, and can be used to standardize this for general normal dog breeds so that it can be used in the pet food industry and for the development of health and nutritional supplements and probiotics technology. In addition, this device (10) can enable the manufacture of functional prescription pet food tailored to companion animals by allowing the built cluster distribution map to be used as source data for the development of probiotic products in the future.

[0163] The microbiome (intestinal microbiome) of a companion animal considered in the present invention refers to a collection of microorganisms and genetic information that inhabit and maintain a symbiotic relationship within the companion animal, and nutrients required by the companion animal may also differ depending on the living environment. Accordingly, the present device (10) can provide a customized service to the companion animal (40) by considering the intestinal condition information and current disease information, which are the results of microbiome analysis of the companion animal (40), considering that there is a high correlation between the companion animal's microbiome and health and disease. When providing a customized service, the present device (10) can manufacture and provide a customized pet food product, and thereby improve the constitution of the companion animal (40) by consuming the customized pet food product.

[0164] This device (10) can provide a platform for providing customized nutritional treatment for companion animals, and can provide a service that can analyze and diagnose the intestinal condition information and current disease information of companion animals through a pet food platform, and can provide a customized service as a solution that can improve the current intestinal condition information and current disease information. This device (10) can platformize the health data of companion animals through diagnosis and analysis of the intestinal microbiome of multiple companion animals, and based on this, can provide customized recipes, customized healthcare services, specialized medicines, nutritional supplements, health food products, etc., for specific companion animals (40).

[0165] FIG. 3 is a drawing schematically showing the product shape of a diagnostic device (20) included in a pet-tailored service provision system (100) based on intestinal microbiome analysis according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0166] Referring to FIG. 3, the diagnostic device (20) considered in the present system (100) is a diagnostic kit capable of diagnosing intestinal microorganisms, and may be provided as a set in the form of a 4-in-1 diagnostic kit packaging design, for example, and may be manufactured to allow recognition that it is a pet product by including a picture of a pet. In addition, the diagnostic device (20) may be manufactured through research and development by introducing the company's diagnostic equipment and system and then assigning specialized personnel. Such a diagnostic device (20) may be capable of diagnosing the presence of a disease (e.g., digestive disease) and the type of disease present.

[0167] This device (10) provides a customized service based on the analysis of the intestinal microbiome of a companion animal (40). For example, it can recommend and provide a customized healthcare diet service and enable individual care management through monitoring the intestinal microbiome (microorganisms) of the companion animal (40). It can also provide a customized recipe service using a fecal microbiome analysis method. In particular, this device (10) provides a customized service. It can provide an optimized result using various data such as the intestinal microbiome balance status, the index of beneficial bacteria and harmful bacteria, and the disease index, for example, using a GMS value derived from an artificial intelligence model (machine learning technique). It can also increase accuracy using verified data on companion animals.

[0168] By providing this service, this device (10) can build intestinal microorganism big data through fecal diagnostic analysis, secure high-quality veterinary nutritional customized healthcare data, serve as a stepping stone for entering the healthcare industry (i.e., providing individually customized pro / prebiotics), and improve pet food loyalty with premium customized healthcare services.

[0169] In addition, the present device (10) can provide a customized healthcare linkage service, and in relation to this, it can provide a premium health checkup and hospital linkage function, a premium customized pet food prescription provision function, a chronic disease specialized management treatment linkage function, a diet service provision function for obesity and diabetes, etc. for companion animals, a premium hoteling, a kindergarten management service function, etc.

[0170] When providing a customized service to a companion animal (40), the service provider (12) may, for example, provide a functional prescription diet customized 1:1 to each companion animal. In this regard, the service provider (12) may, for example, identify the ratio and distribution of beneficial bacteria and harmful bacteria for each companion animal through intestinal microorganism analysis and diagnosis, identify the eating habits of each companion animal based on the identified data, and then provide a plan (solution) to increase beneficial bacteria and reduce harmful bacteria as a customized service. In addition, the service provider (12) may provide an optimized prescription diet based on the results of intestinal microorganism analysis of the companion animal (40) for a companion animal user who desires a customized prescription diet (for example, a customized recipe or customized pet food product).

[0171] FIG. 4 is a drawing for explaining the process of providing a customized pet food product by producing lactic acid bacteria through intestinal microbiome analysis of a companion animal (40) using a device (10) for providing a customized pet service based on intestinal microbiome analysis according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0172] For example, the device (10) can collect feces from a companion animal (40) and perform an intestinal microbiome analysis on the collected feces to derive intestinal condition information including the type and number of intestinal lactic acid bacteria in the companion animal (40), and can recommend lactic acid bacteria and produce customized probiotics based on the derived intestinal condition information to provide the user with a customized service.

[0173] At this time, referring to Table 1 of FIG. 4, it can be confirmed that the types and numbers of lactic acid bacteria present in each sample (individual) of multiple companion animals are different, and the device (10) can select the lactic acid bacteria necessary for each individual based on the sampling data that the types and numbers of lactic acid bacteria present in each sample are different, and can produce and provide probiotics customized for the companion animal (40) as a customized pet food product.

[0174] Referring to Table 2 of FIG. 4, when an intestinal microbiome analysis is performed on fecal samples of multiple companion animals, information such as how many different types of microorganisms exist in the intestines of each companion animal (i.e., information such as the types and number of microorganisms present in each individual animal) can be confirmed. Based on this, the present device (10) can identify the vulnerabilities of each individual animal and recommend appropriate eating habits for the companion animal (40), and can manufacture and provide customized prescription diets (customized pet food products).

[0175] Figures 5 to 8 are diagrams showing examples of data diagrammed for each sample by a device (10) providing a pet-specific service based on intestinal microbiome analysis according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0176] Referring to FIGS. 5 to 8, the construction unit (13) within the device (10) can perform analysis to create a microbial community map, distribution map, and biomap and platformize them by creating various diagrams for each sample (i.e., each fecal sample of multiple companion animals) as shown in FIGS. 5 to 8, for example, when constructing a cluster distribution map.

[0177] In addition, the construction unit (13) can provide improved healthcare services by platformizing a cluster distribution information system of beneficial bacteria species through analysis of intestinal microbiome data according to the species, age, etc. of companion animals and further analyzing the correlation with diseases based on the constructed information, thereby manufacturing individually customized functional pet food feed.

[0178] In addition, the construction unit (13) can, in the process of constructing a cluster distribution map, prepare analysis samples from two or more metabolic disease (constipation, diarrhea, etc.) samples and normal groups, and analyze the distribution of intestinal beneficial bacteria communities using next-generation sequencing (NGS), and can derive results after performing next-generation sequencing (NGS) analysis using various prepared samples, and can derive intestinal beneficial bacteria (Lactobacillus, Firmicutes, Enterococcus faecium, Clostridium, Proteobacteria, etc.) from the derived results. In addition, the construction unit (1 3) can perform intestinal microbiome analysis in various dog breed groups through sample provision from companies for securing various samples, analyze the results, create an information map on microbial communities (i.e., cluster distribution map), and provide platformed data to companies, and can also perform precise analysis on the derived results by using an artificial intelligence model if necessary.

[0179] In addition, as an example, the construction unit (13) of the present device (10) can analyze the correlation between saliva and feces for multiple companion animals. At this time, the construction unit (13) analyzes the correlation between disease and inflammation-related biomarkers in feces and inflammation-related biomarkers in saliva not only in healthy animals but also in diseased animals through microbiome research using feces, and can derive information on the correlation between oral and intestinal microbiomes and diseases, and provide customized services based on this. The construction unit (13) can secure the disease history of an individual through fecal sampling (stool sample), and simultaneously collect both saliva and oral microorganisms to analyze the relationship (correlation) between the intestinal microbiome and inflammation-related biomarkers in the feces.

[0180] This device (10) can develop and provide a customized diet based on the intestinal microbiota community map for each pet disease, provide customized disease solution technology based on scientific data, increase sales of related companies through the production of functional nutritional feed, reduce medical expenses through improved healthcare for pets, and increase related employment through the activation of the pet healthcare industry. In addition, this device (10) can improve the mental quality of life of pet owners by promoting the health and extending the lifespan of pets through the construction of an intestinal microbiota ecosystem map (i.e., a community distribution map).

[0181] In addition, the present device (10) can, for example, receive subjective questionnaire responses (questionnaires) predicted by a user who is the guardian of a companion animal (40) from a user terminal (30) and provide a customized diet based on the subjective questionnaire responses. In addition, the present device (10) can enable feeding of a one-on-one customized functional prescription diet to a companion animal (40) based on information appearing in actual data through provision of a diagnostic device (20), and can diagnose the current health status of the companion animal and recommend a diet, etc. according to the status to suggest the possibility of treatment and improvement, and further provide comprehensive nutritional supplements and premium services for health, nutrition, and life cycle.

[0182] In addition, the subscription management unit (16) within the device (10) can provide a subscription delivery service that allows guardians (users) who are concerned about the health of their pets to directly customize fresh feed (raw food) based on premium fresh ingredients (organic, eco-friendly, etc.) and deliver it through a non-face-to-face online subscription. By providing a subscription delivery service, the device (10) can enable the user to conveniently configure feed raw materials and supplement additional nutrients through a non-face-to-face online service, and can also directly select the time and location of the delivery service.

[0183] In addition, the present device (10) can provide a web app platform, currently in beta service, for example, as an online pet food platform, in providing a regular subscription delivery service, to check professional and useful information on the health / nutrition / life cycle of companion animals and to purchase customized fresh pet food, and can also build and provide a community (blog) and sanitary manufacturing facilities that can manufacture customized pet food products and periodically reflect customer needs.

[0184] FIG. 9 is a drawing for explaining a customized service provided by a pet customized service providing device (10) based on intestinal microbiome analysis according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0185] Referring to FIG. 9, the device (10) can receive, for example, information about a companion animal, such as a dog breed, age, physical information (such as weight), intake information (eating habit information), and exercise information (activity level information), from a user terminal (30). At this time, in relation to the eating habit information, for example, information about the state of defecation or dieting can be received, and also, as veterinary nutritional information, information about the presence or absence of disease and nutritional composition can be received. In addition, the device (10) can analyze preferences and satisfaction for product purchases through a mathematical analysis-based algorithm, and develop a pet-tailored platform based on big data, and in relation to this, can develop and provide a pet-tailored tendency prediction model and a customized app / web. In addition, the device (10) can provide customized services tailored to the pet (40) based on the acquired pet information and big data analysis information, such as, for example, customized food recommendations, provision of health diagnosis devices, provision of health warning alarms, provision of automatic ordering and delivery date management functions, veterinarian connection diagnosis functions, and precise analysis recommendation functions based on activity levels.

[0186] That is, when the device (10) receives pet information from a user terminal (30), it can, for example, produce a customized fresh pet food product based on the input pet information and deliver it regularly to the user, and also provide a customized diet and care service tailored to the pet (40).

[0187] This device (10) can manufacture and provide functional and prescription customized feed based on analysis of the individual microbiome of a pet, and can provide a service of providing a customized diet to a pet dog through a questionnaire of the current owner, and further, can provide a precise customized diet to a pet dog (40) through a diagnostic device (20). In addition, this device (100) can evaluate the condition before and after a user subscribes to a specific customized pet food product and recommend a different diet to the user based on various information stored in the database (15), and can provide a more precise and grounded diet to the pet dog (40) through information rather than simply the user's intuition, thereby providing a highly reliable service to the user (customer).

[0188] In addition, the present device (10) may provide the following functions, for example. The control unit (17) may provide the user with an animal hospital reservation service that allows the user to make a reservation (treatment reservation) and use an offline animal hospital.

[0189] Specifically, when the control unit (17) detects that the user has selected the animal hospital reservation button provided on one area of the screen of the user terminal (30) in order to provide an animal hospital reservation service, the control unit (17) can display animal hospital map information indicating the locations of multiple animal hospitals existing offline on the map on the screen of the user terminal (30). Thereafter, the control unit (17) causes the user to select the icon of the first animal hospital, which is one animal hospital that the user wishes to visit among the multiple animal hospitals displayed on the animal hospital map information, and then write the treatment reservation application data for the treatment reservation, and thereafter, the treatment reservation application data written by the user can be stored and managed in the reservation DB (not shown) within the present device (10).

[0190] The appointment request data may include, for example, the visitor's name, the date of visit, the time of visit, information on the 1st Animal Hospital, the animal hospital to be visited (for example, the animal hospital name, address, phone number, etc.), and the breed, age, and weight of the companion animal (40).

[0191] The control unit (17) monitors the saved appointment reservation application data after the appointment reservation application data created by the user is stored in the reservation DB (not shown), and when the desired visit date in the appointment reservation application data arrives, for example, a appointment reservation notification message can be provided on the screen of the user terminal (30). For example, the appointment reservation notification message can be information such as, "Today is the appointment reservation day at the first animal hospital. Please visit on time."

[0192] In addition, when the above-mentioned day arrives, the control unit (17) can provide a notification of provision of treatment reservation information to the veterinary hospital terminal possessed by a hospital staff member of the veterinary hospital (i.e., the 1st veterinary hospital) corresponding to the information of the 1st veterinary hospital in the treatment reservation application data. Here, the notification of provision of treatment reservation information can be, for example, 'User A has a treatment reservation at 2 PM.' To this end, the present device (10) can be linked to an veterinary hospital terminal (not shown) through a network to transmit and receive data, and can control the operation of each of the veterinary hospital terminal and the user terminal.

[0193] In this case, some users often make reservations at veterinary hospitals but fail to actually show up, a phenomenon known as no-shows. These no-shows can cause financial and time-related losses to the veterinary hospital (the business making the reservation).

[0194] In order to prevent such reservation failures, for example, the control unit (17) may perform a judgment procedure to determine the possibility of the user's reservation failure when the date corresponding to the desired visit date in the above-mentioned medical appointment application data arrives.

[0195] In order to perform the judgment procedure, specifically, when the date of the intended visit in the above-mentioned medical appointment application data has arrived, if the GPS sensor of the user terminal (30) carried by the user is detected to be OFF at the judgment point (e.g., 1:30 PM) which is a time point prior to the predetermined time (e.g., 30 minutes) from the desired visit time (e.g., 2:00 PM) in the above-mentioned medical appointment application data, the control unit (17) forcibly controls the GPS sensor to be ON, thereby obtaining in real time the location information (i.e., GPS information) of the user terminal (30) for a pre-defined measurement time (e.g., 2 minutes) from the judgment point, and then forcibly turns the GPS sensor OFF again, and thereafter, based on the location information of the user terminal (30) obtained in real time, movement trajectory information according to the movement of the user terminal (30) corresponding to the measurement time can be generated.

[0196] At this time, the user may be a user who has registered as a member of the service provided by the device (10), and the control unit (17) may obtain data in advance from the user agreeing to the act of forcibly collecting location information of the user terminal (30) and the act of utilizing the collected location information by forcibly controlling the ON / OFF of the GPS sensor of the user terminal (30) possessed by the user when the user accesses the device (10) and registers as a member, and store the data in the database unit (15) of the device (10), and based on this data, the GPS sensor of the user terminal (30) may be forcibly controlled to ON at the time of judgment, or may be controlled to OFF thereafter. For example, the device (10) may allow only users who have provided the above-described data to use the service, particularly the animal hospital reservation service, among the users using the device (10).

[0197] Meanwhile, if the control unit (17) determines that the movement trajectory information (entire movement trajectory information) is located within a preset distance range (e.g., a range within a distance of 1.5 km) from the animal hospital location of the first animal hospital on the map based on the animal hospital map information after generating the movement trajectory information, the control unit determines that the user has no or a low chance of not being able to make a reservation, and generates first judgment result information notifying that the possibility of not being able to make a reservation is low, and transmits the information to, for example, an animal hospital terminal (not shown). Here, the first judgment result information may be, for example, something like, 'User A, who has a treatment appointment at 2 PM, is currently determined to be within a distance range (radius) of 1.5 km, and thus, it is analyzed that the possibility of not being able to make a reservation is low. It seems that the user will visit soon.'

[0198] On the other hand, if the control unit (17) determines that the movement trajectory information (entire movement trajectory information) is not located within the preset distance range (i.e., if it is determined that at least a part of the entire movement trajectory information is outside the preset distance range), the control unit (17) may derive first direction-related information (i.e., direction information on the direction of movement progress indicating the direction in which the user terminal is moving in the movement trajectory information) corresponding to the generated movement trajectory information based on the animal hospital map information, and then derive second direction-related information, which is the direction toward the animal hospital location of the first animal hospital on the animal hospital map information, from the start position of the location information in the movement trajectory information, and then perform a direction identity determination process to determine whether two pieces of direction-related information including the derived first direction-related information and the derived second direction-related information correspond to each other (i.e., whether they are facing the same direction).

[0199] At this time, if the control unit (17) determines that the two direction-related information correspond to each other as a result of the direction identity determination process (for example, if it is determined that the two direction-related information correspond to each other because both are in the direction from east to west), based on the animal hospital map information, the expected travel time from the last location of the location information in the movement trajectory information to the location of the animal hospital is derived. At this time, by analyzing the location change information of the location information in the movement trajectory information, for example, if it is analyzed that the user is moving on foot, the expected travel time based on walking is derived as the expected travel time, and if it is analyzed that the user is moving using a means of transportation such as a taxi, the expected travel time based on the means of transportation can be derived as the expected travel time. Here, the expected travel time may mean information that estimates (predicts) the time required to move.

[0200] At this time, if the two expected travel times including the derived walking-based travel time and the derived transportation means-based travel time are, for example, 25 minutes and 13 minutes, respectively, and thus the two expected travel times are both shorter than the preset time (for example, 30 minutes) considered when setting the judgment time, the control unit (17) determines that the user who has made a reservation for treatment at the first animal hospital is not currently located within the preset distance range described above (for example, the user is at a location a little distance away from the current location of the animal hospital), but is able to visit the first animal hospital by the time the user intends to visit (for example, 2:00 PM), which is the time the user made the reservation for treatment, and then generates first judgment result information notifying that the possibility of a failed reservation as mentioned above is low, and transmits the first judgment result information to, for example, the animal hospital terminal.

[0201] However, the control unit (17), if i) the two pieces of direction-related information correspond to each other as a result of the direction identity determination process, but the two expected travel times are, for example, 2 hours and 50 minutes (i.e., for example, the walking-based expected travel time is 2 hours and the transportation-based expected travel time is 50 minutes), and both of the expected travel times are longer than the preset time (i.e., 30 minutes) considered when setting the determination time, or ii) the two pieces of direction-related information do not correspond to each other, but both of the expected travel times are longer than the preset time (i.e., 30 minutes), then the user who has made a reservation for treatment at the first animal hospital is currently far away from the location of the animal hospital beyond the preset distance range described above, but even if the user moves to the location of the animal hospital immediately using a means such as a taxi, the user must be able to visit the first animal hospital within the time the user made the reservation for treatment (i.e., 2 p.m.). After determining that the user is unable to visit, a second judgment result information indicating that 'the user is likely to fail to make a reservation' can be generated and transmitted to, for example, a veterinary hospital terminal.

[0202] Here, the second judgment result information may be, for example, something like, "User A, who has a treatment appointment at 2 PM, is currently located far away, so it is unlikely that he or she will visit before 2 PM, and therefore, it is highly likely that he or she will not be able to make the appointment. Confirmation is required." At this time, the hospital staff of the animal hospital terminal that has received the second judgment result information may, for example, call the user terminal (30) based on the received second judgment result information to check whether the user can visit within the desired visit time set by the user.

[0203] In addition, the control unit (17) can generate second judgment result information and transmit it to the animal hospital terminal, and at the same time, generate confirmation guidance information for checking whether a visit is possible, for example, and display it on the screen of the user terminal (30) (i.e., the screen of the user terminal), and then generate third judgment result information according to the type of the user's response to the confirmation guidance information and transmit it further to the animal hospital terminal.

[0204] At this time, the control unit (17) may, after providing confirmation guidance information on the screen, generate third judgment result information that matches the response to the user's confirmation guidance information, for example, and transmit the information to the animal hospital terminal. The third judgment result information transmitted to the animal hospital terminal according to the user's response may be one or more of the following three contents depending on the situation. i) If the user responds ‘possible’ to the confirmation guidance information, third judgment result information including first information such as ‘the user can visit within the time the user wants to visit’ can be generated and transmitted to the animal hospital terminal; ii) If the user responds ‘impossible (time adjustment required)’ to the confirmation guidance information, third judgment result information including second information such as ‘the user cannot visit within the time the user wants to visit and time adjustment is required’ can be generated and transmitted to the animal hospital terminal; iii) If the user ‘does not respond’ to the confirmation guidance information (i.e., does not respond), third judgment result information including third information such as ‘the user did not respond, so it seems very likely that the reservation will not be made’ can be generated and transmitted to the animal hospital terminal. After transmitting the third judgment result information to the animal hospital terminal, the control unit (17) can terminate (complete) the execution of the above-described judgment procedure.

[0205] This device (10) can provide a veterinary hospital reservation service to the user, and can determine the possibility of the user's reservation failure through the above-described judgment procedure, and provide the determined information to the hospital staff of the veterinary hospital, thereby enabling the user to make a reservation for treatment at the veterinary hospital more conveniently, and providing convenience in performing and managing the reservation for treatment to both the hospital staff and the user.
