The invention discloses an antibacterial coating with a zinc zeolite-based cerium doped nanometer titanium dioxide antimicrobial and a preparation method thereof. The coating of the invention boasts obvious antibacterial effect, and environmental protection as well as energy conservation. Formulations of the coating include proportioned styrene acrylic emulsion, anatase titanium dioxide, talcum powder, light calcium heavy calcium, kaolin, an antimicrobial and one or more accessories. The preparation method comprises the steps of: adding the one or more accessories like a dispersing agent, a wetting agent, an antifoaming agent, cellulose into water and stirring, then adding anatase titanium dioxide, talcum powder, light calcium, heavy calcium and 0.5%-1.5% of antimicrobial in order, slurrying the mixture, and decreasing the number of revolution to 800r/min and cooling the slurry when the fineness of the slurry reaches 50 micrometers, then adding hydrate cellulose, an antifoaming agent, a film-forming additive and emulsion as the slurry cools to a certain temperature, and finally adjusting the pH and the coating viscosity. The antibacterial coating of the invention is characterized by good washability and weatherability, simple technology, low cost, and stable product performance.
