Colletotrichum (sexual stage: Glomerella) is a genus of fungi that are symbionts to plants as endophytes (living within the plant) or phytopathogens. Many of the species in this genus are plant pathogens, but some species may have a mutualistic relationship with hosts.
Application of natural product santalol as agricultural fungicide in plant diseases
This invention discloses the application of the natural product santalol as an agricultural fungicide in plant disease control, belonging to the field of plant disease prevention and control. It shows good inhibitory effects against bacterial diseases such as rice bacterial leaf blight, rice bacterial leaf streak, citrus canker, cabbage black rot, tomato bacterial spot, kiwifruit canker, tobacco bacterial wilt, cucumber bacterial angular leaf spot, and potato bacterial wilt. It also shows good inhibitory effects against viral diseases such as tobacco mosaic virus; and against fungal diseases such as rice rhizome blight, wheat scab, pepper wilt, *Botrytis cinerea*, or *Colletotrichum sorghum*. It can be used in the preparation of plant fungicides. Santalol is a natural plant extract and is environmentally friendly. This invention provides a new use for the natural product santalol, enabling its application in the agricultural field for plant disease control and providing a new avenue for the research and development of new pesticides.
