9887 results about "Isocyanate" patented technology

Isocyanate is the functional group with the formula R−N=C=O. Organic compounds that contain an isocyanate group are referred to as isocyanates. An organic compound with two isocyanate groups is known as a diisocyanate. Diisocyanates are manufactured for the production of polyurethanes, a class of polymers.

Polyurethane adhesive for windshield applications

A polyurethane adhesive which is useful in bonding porous and non-porous surfaces is provided. The adhesive is especially useful in bonding windshield glass into automotive frames under a variety of environmental conditions, particularly in after market windshield replacement applications. The polyurethane includes at least one urethane prepolymer which is based on at least one thermoplastic polyol. In one embodiment, the urethane prepolymer may be formed from one or more polyisocyanates, one or more polyetherpolyols and one or more thermoplastic polyesterpolyols, wherein the prepolymer has a free isocyanate content of from about 0.6 to about 3.5 % by weight, based on the weight of the polyurethane. In another embodiment, a one-part adhesive composition is provided which includes an isocyanate-functional and thermoplastic polyurethane prepolymer having a free isocyanate content of from about 0.6 to about 3.5 % by weight, based on the weight of the polyurethane, and a combination of several catalysts which are capable of catalyzing the reaction of isocyanate moieties with isocyanate-reactive moieties while providing less temperature dependent catalyzing of the reaction between isocyanate moieties and water. Also provided is a process for bonding two or more substrates together utilizing the polyurethane adhesive. In automotive windshield replacement applications, the polyurethane adhesive allows for a sufficient working time and development of green strength to provide a safe drive-away time within 1 hour at a temperature from about 0 to about 100° C.

Aquosity bi-component polyurethane coloured paint and method of manufacturing the same

The invention discloses a two-component waterborne polyurethane colored paint and the preparation method. The components of the paint are 5 to 15 water, 0.2 to 0.5 dispersant, 0.1 to 0.3 antifoamer, 0.1 to 0.3 wetting agent, 3 to 25 paints, 0 to 50 fillers, 10 to 80 film forming resins, 0 to 5 film forming additives, 0.1 to 0.3 disinfectant, 0.1 to 0.3 antiflash rust agent, 0.5 to 2 thickeners, 1 to 20 hydrophilically-modified polyisocyanate. The preparation method is that water, dispersant, antifoamer, wetting agent, paints and fillers are dispersed evenly by a sand mill, a ball mill or a high-speed stirrer after stirring, and are added with film forming resins, film forming additives, disinfectant, antiflash rust agent and thickeners to gain the product-component A. The hydrophilically-modified polyisocyanate is component B. The component A and component B are mixed uniformly when using. The invention is characterized in that the invention does not adopt organic solvents, does not contain toxic paints and has no harm on the human body and environment, and the properties can reach the solvent two-component polyurethane paint, which can be produced to the primer, intermediate coat and finishing coat, and can be applied in the surface of the wooden ware, cement and metals.

Solid golf ball

The invention provides a solid golf ball having a solid core and a cover layer that encases the core and has an outermost layer on an outside surface of which are formed a plurality of dimples. The solid core is formed of a rubber composition composed of 100 parts by weight of a base rubber that includes from 60 to 100 parts by weight of a polybutadiene rubber having a cis-1,4 bond content of at least 60% and synthesized using a rare-earth catalyst, from 0.1 to 5 parts by weight of an organosulfur compound, an unsaturated carboxylic acid or a metal salt thereof, an inorganic filler, and an antioxidant. The solid core has a deformation, when compressed under a final load of 130 kgf from an initial load of 10 kgf, of from 2.0 to 4.0 mm, and has a specific hardness distribution. The cover layer is formed by injection molding a single resin blend composed primarily of (A) a polyurethane material and (B) a polyisocyanate compound, which resin blend includes a polyisocyanate compound in at least some portion of which all the isocyanate groups on a molecule remain in an unreacted state. The cover layer has a thickness of from 0.5 to 2.5 mm and a Shore D hardness at the surface of from 50 to 70. The golf ball has a deformation, when compressed under a final load of 130 kgf from an initial load of 10 kgf, of from 2.0 to 3.8 mm. The solid golf ball is advantageous overall in competitive use.
