The invention is a composition comprising applying to a substrate a stream of an adhesive comprising: one or more epoxy resins; one or more rubber modified epoxy resins; one or more toughening compositions comprising the reaction product of one or more isocyanate terminated prepolymers and one or more capping compounds having one or more phenolic, benzyl alcohol, aminophenyl, or, benzylamino groups wherein the reaction product is terminated with the capping compounds; one or more curing agents for epoxy resins and one or more catalysts which initiate cure at a temperature of about 100° C. or greater; and optionally; fillers adhesion promoters, wetting agents or rheological additives useful in epoxy adhesive compositions; wherein the adhesive composition has a viscosity at 45° C. of about 20 Pa.s to about 400 Pa.s. The composition can be used as an adhesive and applied as a stream using a high speed streaming process.

Sealant and potting formulations are provided which are prepared from components including ungelled mercapto-terminated polymer(s) prepared by reacting reactants comprising polyvinyl ether monomer(s) and polythiol material(s); curing agent(s) reactive with a mercapto group of the mercapto-terminated polymer; and additive(s) selected from the group consisting of fillers, adhesion promoters, plasticizers and catalysts.

The present invention relates to a vapor-pervious water-impervious substrate, preferably a fibrous nonwoven web, which can be used in particular as a textile continuous sheet material, for example as an awning or as an inlet in apparel. The substrate according to the present invention may have self-cleaning properties. The substrate according to the present invention is simple to produce in an at least two-step process wherein a coating on the fibers of the substrate is produced in the first step and then hydrophobic particles are applied to the coated fibers by means of an adhesion promoter.

In the manufacture of semiconductor packages having molded plastic bodies, the plating of all of the surfaces of the molding tool that comes into contact with the molten resin during molding with a nodular thin dense chromium ("NTDC") coating prevents the surfaces from adhering to the package body and ensures good package release, without formation of cracks or craters in the package body. Methods are presented herein for forming thermally stable, adhesive, low dielectric constant polyorganosilicon dielectric films for use as semiconductor insulators and as adhesion promoters as and in conjunction with low k materials. Surprisingly, the methods described herein can provide polyorganosilicon materials, coatings and films having very low dielectric constants that are generated from specified polycarbosilane starting materials employing wet coating and standard high energy generating processes, without the need for exotic production techniques or incurring disadvantages found in other low k dielectric film-forming methods. A self-etching, priming dental adhesive composition comprises an olefinically unsaturated monomer having an -SO3 functionality; a copolymerizable multi-functional (meth)acrylate adhesive; and a curing system. The self-etching, priming dental adhesive may further comprise a copolymerizable adhesion promoter containing an acid functionality, the adhesion promoter being different from the olefinically unsaturated monomer having an -SO3 functionality and the copolymerizable multi-functional (meth)acrylate adhesive, and a solvent system in an amount effective to dissolve the adhesive and/or the adhesion promoter. The invention relates to a high-performance jet ink. The jet ink comprises the following components by weight percent: 20-80% of solvent, 1-45% of cosolvent, 4-20% of adhesive, 0.5-20% of colorant, 0-5% of adhesion force promoter, 0.01-2% of wax powder, 0-2% of brightening agent and 0-5% of other additives. The reactive polyurethane hot melt adhesive for fabric lamination is prepared by the following steps: heating and melting polyester polyol, polyether polyol, a chain extender, an adhesive force accelerant and an antioxidant and mixing uniformly, drying in vacuum for dewatering, adding isocyanate, a catalyst and a silane coupling agent, and reacting under nitrogen protection. A two-part moisture-curable resin composition comprises:

• • a) a first part substantially free of moisture comprising:
  • (1) moisture-curable silylated resin and,
  • (2) optionally, one or more additional components selected from the group consisting of plasticizer, solvent, thixotropic agent, particulate material, moisture scavenger, isocyanate scavenger, crosslinker, adhesion promoter, U.V. stabilizer and antioxidant; and,

A phosphor composition and light emitting device utilizing that composition is disclosed. The composition includes a suspension of phosphor particles that are uniformly distributed in a transparent medium that includes an epoxy, and a diffusive agent that includes diffusive particles of a transparent material. In one embodiment, the diffusive particles have a median particle size between 1 μm-5 μm. The diffusive agent can be made from both inorganic and organic material such as Barium Titanate, titanium Oxide, aluminum oxide, silicone oxide, calcium carbonate, melanin resin, CTU guanamine resin or benzoguanamine resin. Embodiments that further include adhesion promoters, hydrophobic agents, thixotropic agents and UV inhibitors are also disclosed.
