Abstract
Description
[0001] A parlour game with mechanical equipment for an exchange of playing pieces
[0002] Field of the invention
[0003] The invention relates to a parlour game, the nature of which is the exchange of playing pieces by means of the player-controlled mechanical equipment which is part of the game.
[0004] Currently, various parlour games are known. Wherein some of them are equipped with mechanical equipment.
[0005] There is no existing parlour game which is identical or even similar to the parlour game according to the this invention.
[0006] Summary of the invention
[0007] The present range of parlour games is expanded by a parlour game with mechanical equipment for an exchange of playing pieces among the individual circular rotators according to the this invention.
[0008] Ils nature is such that it includes at least two circular rotators, located in one plane, whose rotation axes are perpendicular to this plane. The circular rotators are mutually locked in the defined positions by means of a locking structure. Each circular rotator is provided with evenly distributed fixation elements around its circumference, which are formed by projections or lugs or other elements enabling the playing pieces to be placed freely on them and ensuring that they are fixed against movement in a plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the circular rotator. This means that on the fixation elements of each of the circular rotators, it is possible to freely place the playing pieces, which will be sufficiently held by the fixation elements even If the circular rotator is raised. The fixation elements will ensure that the playing pieces are sufficiently fixed against movement in the horizontal plane of the table surface, i.e. in the plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the circular rotator. Playing pieces are interchangeable. Each circular rotator is functionally connected to at least one other circular rotator by having one or two playing pieces placed together on the fixation elements of both circular rotators functionally connected in this way.
[0009] Importantly, the locking structure is made up by guide pins and their interconnection. A circular rotator is mounted on each guide pin in such a way that the circular rotator has a central tube in the middle, which corresponds dimensionally, i.e. by its internal diameter, to the diameter of the guide pin.
[0010] 1 All circular rotators are at the same height level and none of them is located higher or lower compared to another circular rotator.
[0011] The interconnection of the guide pins may be solid, in which case all guide pins and their interconnections are made up in one piece, or the interconnection may be demountable, in which case it is made up of several parts that can be assembled into a single whole by joining individual interconnections.
[0012] The individual circular rotators may be provided with fittings for the player to grip each of the circular rotators.
[0013] The fitting can be the centre tube of the circular rotator.
[0014] To prevent unwanted rotation of the circular rotator in a position where the circular rotator is not raised above the other playing pieces, the circular rotator is provided with a lock against rotation in the unraised position.
[0015] The implementation of the locking against unwanted rotation of the circular rotator in the unraised position can be carried out by providing the inside of the central tube with vertical grooves, wherein the similar vertical grooves are provided also to the guide pin. Vertical grooves are provided only in the lower part of the guide pin, up to the height greater than the height of the playing piece.
[0016] A playing piece is usually in the shape of a regular pentagonal prism, or a regular hexagonal prism, or a regular octagonal prism.
[0017] The playing piece is usually provided with pictures, colours, marks or numbers.
[0018] To allow independent vertical movement of each circular rotator (together with the pieces placed on it) (individually), there is a free space above each circular rotator and also above its playing pieces to the height greater than the height of the playing piece. This allows each single circular rotator to be raised without problems, even with the playing pieces freely placed on its fixation elements.
[0019] Brief description of the drawings
[0020] The invention is more particularly described by means of drawings that show a parlour game with mechanical equipment for an exchange of playing pieces among the individual circular rotators.
[0021] Figure 1 shows a circular rotator provided with fixation elements evenly located around its circumference. The picture shows fixation of one playing piece, which is freely placed on the fixation elements. In doing so, the playing piece is fixed by the fixation elements against movement in a plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the circular rotator. Figure 2 shows a circular rotator provided with playing pieces around its circumference, which are freely placed on the fixation elements. Not all fixation elements are shown as they are located under the playing pieces and are not apparent from the illustration.
[0022] Figure 3 shows a circular rotator provided with fixation elements evenly located around its circumference in a different embodiment than the embodiments of Figure 1.
[0023] Figure 4 shows a circular rotator provided with fixation elements evenly located around its circumference in a different embodiment than shown in Figure 1 and Figure 3.
[0024] The picture shows one of the playing pieces freely placed on the fixation elements, which fix it against movement in a plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the circular rotator, i.e. in a plane parallel to the playing surface of the table.
[0025] Figure 5 shows a locking structure comprising a solid connection of six guide pins which are mutually in parallel arrangement and are connected by means of a non-demountable connection. Figure 6 shows a locking structure comprising six guide pins connected by a non-demountable connection. The picture shows one circular rotator placed on one guide pin. Furthermore, the picture shows the central circular rotator in the position before it is slipped over the central guide pin.
[0026] Figure 7 shows a situation according to Figure 6, wherein the circular rotators are slipped over the guide pins. The guide pins are not visible in the illustration.
[0027] Figure 8 shows a different embodiment of the locking structure comprising a demountable connection of the guide pins.

[0033] Figure 15 shows an overall view of a parlour game with mechanical equipment for an exchange of playing pieces among the individual circular rotators.
[0034] Examples of an invention embodiment
[0035] In the first exemplary embodiment, there is a parlour game with mechanical equipment for an exchange of playing pieces 1 among the individual circular rotators 2. as shown in Figure 15. The guiding pins 7 connected by a connection 5 forming a locking structure 13 are made of plastic and are placed on a horizontal playing table.
[0036] All five guide pins 7 are distributed evenly around the central guide pin 7 on a circle with a radius of 80 mm, as shown in Figure 7. All guide pins 7 have identical dimensions. They are made of a plastic cylinder with a diameter of 10 mm and a height of 45 mm, wherein the lower part of each guide pin 7 is provided with vertical grooves 8 up io a height of 14 mm. The upper end of the guide pin 7 is tapered to a point. All five guide pins 7 are connected to the central guide pin 7 by a connection 5, also made of plastic. All connections 5 are of the same length, i. e. 80 mm. None of the guide pins 7 is positioned higher or lower than another guide pin 7, thus all guide pins 7 are positioned in one plane, namely in the horizontal plane. The guide pins 7, which are connected by the connection 5, form the locking structure 13.
[0037] The parlour game includes five identical outer circular rotators 2 and one central circular rotator 2, as shown in Figure 7. Each outer circular rotator 2 comprises a circular platform 10 with a diameter of 90 mm, in. the centre of which there is a handle formed by a perpendicular central tube 3 with an internal diameter of 11 mm and a height of 48 mm. Each outer circular rotator 2 is provided with fixation elements 4. comprising cylindrical lugs with a diameter of 3 mm and a height of 8 mm, evenly distributed in two rows around the circumference of the circular platform 10. The outer circular rotators 2 are slipped by their central tubes 3 over the outer guide pins 7.
[0038] The central circular rotator 2 shown in Figure 3 comprises a circular platform 10 with a diameter of 45 mm, in the centre of which there is a handle formed by a central tube 3 with an internal diameter of 11 mm and a height of 48 mm. The central circular rotator 2 is provided with five fixation elements 4, comprising cylindrical lugs with a diameter of 5 mm and a height of 7 mm. evenly distributed around the circumference of the circular platform 10, among which there are supporting fixation elements 9 of rectangular layout of 10 x 4 mm. The central circular rotator 2 Is slipped by Its central tube 3 over the central guide pin 7-
[0039] The vertical grooves 8 of individual guide pins 2 correspond to the vertical grooves 8 of the central tubes 3 of individual circular rotators 2. Therefore, if the circular rotators 2 are slipped over the guide pins 7, the vertical grooves 8 prevent any rotation of the circular rotators 2 on the guide pins 7. The vertical guide grooves 8 are only made on the guide pins 7 up to a height of 14 mm. If the circular rotator 2 is raised above this height, this allows the circular rotators 2 to rotate smoothly on the guide rods 7. This creates locking against rotation in the unraised position.
[0040] Dimensionally identical playing pieces 1 are freely placed on the fixation elements 4 of the outer circular rotators 2 as well as on the fixation elements 4 of the central circular rotator 2. Each circular rotator 2 is functionally connected to at least one other circular rotator 2. The functional connection is realized by both circular rotators 2 having one or two playing pieces 1 placed simultaneously on the fixation elements 4 of both circular rotators 2 functionally connected in this way.
[0041] To allow vertical movement of each circular rotator 2, there is a free space above each circular rotator 2 and also above its playing pieces 1 there is a free space up to the height greater than the height of the playing piece L This means that neither above the circular rotator 2, nor above any playing piece 1., there may be any other circular rotator 2 or a part thereof, other playing piece 1 and, moreover, there may be no connection 5 of any circular rotator 2 or a part thereof. This allows each single circular rotator 2 to be raised without problems, even with the playing pieces 1 freely placed on its fixation elements 4. This is particularly important in case of functionally connected circular rotators 2, where there must be an option to pick up the jointly placed playing piece 1 by one or the other circular rotator 2 without problems. Therefore, the individual parts of the functionally connected circular rotators 2 may not be crossed, in particular, their connection 5, where there is a risk of vertical crossing which would not allow trouble-free raising of one and the other circular rotator 2. The playing pieces 1 are in the shape of a hollow regular pentagonal prism with a height of 10 mm with a side length of 2.2 mm, provided only with a top base, as shown in Figure 10. Playing pieces 1 are visibly marked with the letters on their top base, The playing pieces 1 are freely placed on the fixation elements 4 of the outer circular rotators 2 and the fixation elements 4 of the central circular rotator 2.
[0042] The function of the equipment, i.e., playing a parlour game with mechanical equipment for an exchange of playing pieces 1 among the individual circular rotators 2, is as follows: On the horizontal playing table, there is a locking structure 13 placed comprising five guide pins 7 connected by the connection 5 with the sixth — central guide pin 7. The circular rotators 2, which are defined by the locking structure in the mutual position, shall be slipped over the guide pins 7. Randomly selected playing pieces 1 are freely placed on the fixation elements 4 of the circular rotators 2.
[0043] Tire player attempts to arrange the playing pieces 1 into a logical configuration, i.e. if the playing pieces 1 are provided with letters, the effort is focused on creation of the appropriate words. If the player does not raise the circular rotator 2 sufficiently, the vertical grooves 8 of the guide pin 7, connected to the vertical grooves 8 inside the central tube 3, prevent the circular rotator 2 from rotating against the central tube 3. If the player grasps the selected circular rotator 2, i.e. the central tube 3 of the circular rotator 2 by the handle and raises it to a height of slightly more than 22 mm, this will allow him to rotate it.
[0044] The purpose of the parlour game according to this technical solution is to create various logically modified configurations of the playing pieces L for example a sequence of numbers if the playing pieces 1 are provided with numbers or logically configured colours for coloured playing pieces L Playing pieces 1 are arranged on the circular rotators 2 side by side in circles. The equipment for an exchange of playing pieces 1 allows all playing pieces 1 placed on the fixation elements 4 of the circular rotator 2 to be picked up and rotated at once by means of the handle, which is the central tube 3, so that the selected playing piece 1_, after subsequent placing of the central tube 3, reaches the place selected by the player. Since always at least two circular rotators 2 have one or two playing pieces 1 freely placed on the fixation elements 4 of always one pair of circular rotators 2, the selected playing piece y or two playing pieces 1 can be raised by one or the other circular rotator 2 and thus moved from the rotation area of one circular rotator 2 to the rotation area of the other circular rotator 2 and similarly proceed in this way to the next and again the next, circular rotator 2. Since all circular rotators 2 are connected in this way, it is possible to move the playing piece 1 selected by the player to any location, i.e. to the selected location of any circular rotator 2.
[0045] In the second exemplary embodiment, the second variant of the parlour game with mechanical equipment for an exchange of playing pieces 1 is shown, wherein the locking structure .13 comprises guide pins 7 in connection with a demountable connection 5 as shown in Figure 8. The guide pins 7 are rna.de of plastic as well as their connection 5. One circular rotator 2 is slipped over each guide pin 7 by its central tube 3.
[0046] Locking of the circular rotator 2 against rotation in the unraised position is performed by a boundary 11 located around each guide pin 7, which is made up to a height of 12 mm, as shown in Figures 8 and 9. The boundary 1 1 is interrupted at regular intervals by six gaps 12, which correspond by their width to the width of the handles of the fixation element 4, so that the circular rotator 2 can be positioned by its six fixation elements 4 in the gaps 12 of the boundary 11. whereby the circular rotator 2 is provided with the locking against rotation in the unraised position. In the raised position by more than 12 mm, the circular rotator 2 can be freely rotated. The function of the equipment is similar to that of the equipment according to the first exemplary embodiment.
[0047] Whenever one circular rotator 2 is raised, this causes concurrent raising of the playing pieces 1_ located on the fixation elements 4 of this circular rotator 2. as well as when the second circular rotator 2 is raised, the playing pieces 1, placed on the fixation elements 4 of this second circular rotator 2 are also raised. Since the first and second circular rotators 2 are at a suitable distance, one common playing piece 1 is always picked up when one or the other circular rotator 2 is raised, or in case of larger-diameter circular rotators 2, two common playing pieces 1 are always picked up in this way. The player successively raises the individual circular rotators 2 to the height slightly greater than, the height, of the boundary H, at which point the locking against rotation in the unraised position ceases to function, and, subsequently, rotates them appropriately and places them in the base position. This allows the player to move the selected playing piece I to the selected location of the selected circular rotator 2.
[0048] A major advantage of the mechanical equipment for an exchange of playing pieces 1 according to the second exemplar)' embodiment is the possibility of connecting additional guide pins 7, thereby connecting any number of circular rotators 2. By purchasing additional guide pins 7 with circular rotators 2 and additional playing pieces 1, the playing area can be indefinitely expanded.
[0049] Ind ustrial applicability
[0050] A parlour game with mechanical equipment for an exchange of playing pieces among the individual circular rotators is suitable for children and adults.
