Abstract
Description
[0001] Platform for arranging at least one piece of furniture or household appliance
[0002] The present invention relates to a platform for arranging at least one piece of furniture or household appliance on the platform according to the preamble of claim 1.
[0003] A platform of this type is known, for example, from WO 2023 / 180255 A1. Such a platform serves to place one or more pieces of furniture or household appliances on it and to move them into different angular positions with the help of the platform without great effort by means of a coupled translational-rotational movement.
[0004] The platform has a base and a support element that is simultaneously translationally and rotationally movable relative to the base.
[0005] The respective bearing areas of the base and the support element have guide tracks or guide elements guided in the guide tracks, allowing the support element to be moved relative to the base in a predetermined translational-rotational movement. Alternatively, guide tracks can be arranged in only one of the bearing areas of the base and support element, and guide elements in the other bearing area.
[0006] The supporting element is equipped with sliding or roller elements in the outer areas for movable support of the platform, via which the main load is transferred to a floor. These platforms have proven their worth in practice.
[0007] A disadvantage of the described platform is that, with large-area platforms, a large amount of force is required for the translational-rotational movement when the supporting element is subjected to heavy weight, especially in a central area of the supporting element, particularly on soft floors such as carpets.
[0008] The object of the present invention is to provide a platform that enables movement of the platform with less effort and avoids excessive deflection of the supporting element. This object is achieved by a platform with the features of claim 1.
[0009] The problem is further solved by an arrangement of a modular interior furnishing system for rooms consisting of at least two pieces of furniture or household appliances on at least two platforms with the features of claim 15.
[0010] The platform according to the invention has a base and a support element which is mounted to be movable both translationally and rotationally relative to the base.
[0011] The base and the support element have flat bearing areas facing each other.
[0012] In one of the bearing areas, guide rails are arranged, and in the other bearing area, guide elements are arranged in or along the contours of the guide rails, so that the support element is at least partially constrained relative to the base and can be rotated in one of two possible opposite directions of rotation and moved in a predetermined translational direction. Alternatively, guide rails and guide elements can be present in both bearing areas.
[0013] The guideways are shaped in such a way that, when a moment is applied to the support element, the support element can be moved from an initial position via an intermediate position, in which the support element is rotated relative to the base in one of two possible opposite directions of rotation and displaced in a translational direction, by further rotation in one of two possible opposite directions of rotation and displacement against the translational direction to an end position that is identical to the initial position or to an end position offset by a distance in one direction.
[0014] The supporting element has at least one sliding or rolling element attached for movable support of the platform on a floor or functional base.
[0015] In at least one of the bearing areas, at least one support element projecting from the bearing area is arranged. The at least one support element is arranged in a central area of the bearing area.
[0016] Using such support elements makes it possible to significantly relieve the load on at least one sliding or rolling element of the support structure. This relief considerably facilitates the translational-rotational movement of the platform, regardless of the quality of the floor or functional surface, allowing the platform to be moved on the floor or functional surface with minimal effort.
[0017] The central arrangement of at least one support element ensures that, despite relative movement of the base to the supporting element, support is always provided in the central area of the platform.
[0018] Advantageous embodiments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.
[0019] According to an advantageous further development, several support elements are arranged in at least one of the bearing areas.
[0020] This ensures that one of the support elements is always providing support in an area that is optimal for support.
[0021] According to an advantageous further development, exactly two support elements or exactly three support elements are stored in a central area of at least one of the storage areas.
[0022] According to an advantageous further development, the support elements are mounted in the base.
[0023] The at least one support element is preferably received in a receptacle installed in the bearing area.
[0024] This allows the platform's vertical structure to be kept as small as possible.
[0025] In a first advantageous embodiment, at least one support element is designed as a ball roller with a ball held in a receiving housing. Such ball rollers enable extremely low-friction support.
[0026] The ball is preferably mounted in a ball bearing provided in the receiving housing, which further increases the smoothness of the ball movement.
[0027] According to an advantageous further development, the receiving housing is mounted in a height-adjustable manner on the bearing area.
[0028] In a preferred embodiment, the receiving housing is cylindrical with an external thread which is height-adjustable in an internal thread arranged in the bearing area.
[0029] According to another design variant, the receiving housing has a collar that is supported against the bearing area.
[0030] In another embodiment, at least one washer is arranged between the collar and a support surface in the bearing area.
[0031] With the help of such washers, the desired height of the support element relative to the bearing area can be adjusted during assembly of the support element.
[0032] According to an alternative design variant, at least one support element is designed as a steering roller with a roller held on a swivel bearing via a roller receptacle.
[0033] A support element designed as a swivel caster also ensures reliable support of the base relative to the load-bearing element.
[0034] To further reduce friction caused by the support element(s) on the opposite surface, in a preferred embodiment a surface of the other bearing area opposite the support element is designed to have a low coefficient of friction. In a preferred further development, a rolling plate with a low coefficient of friction and high hardness is attached to a surface of the other bearing area opposite the support element to prevent the ball roller from being indented under high load.
[0035] For further stabilization, at least three sliding or rolling elements are preferably attached to the support element for movable support of the platform on a floor or functional base.
[0036] The arrangement according to the invention of a modular interior furnishing system for rooms consisting of at least two pieces of furniture or household appliances on at least two platforms is characterized by platforms as described above.

[0053] Figures 17 and 18 are schematic, isometric representations of an embodiment of an arrangement of furniture on the supporting elements of two platforms shown in Figure 1 in two different rotational positions on a functional floor.
[0054] In the following figure descriptions, terms such as top, bottom, left, right, front, back, etc., refer exclusively to the exemplary representation and position of the platform, base, load-bearing element, support element, and the like chosen in the respective figures. These terms are not to be understood as restrictive; that is, these relationships may change due to different working positions, mirror-symmetrical design, or similar factors.
[0055] In Figures 1 and 2, reference numeral 1 denotes a total embodiment of a platform according to the invention.
[0056] Platform 1 serves to arrange at least one piece of furniture or household appliance on platform 1, as shown by way of example in Figure 17.
[0057] For the purposes of this application, furniture shall be understood to include in particular seating furniture, room dividers, beds, shelves or cabinets with at least one storage level, or presentation surfaces.
[0058] It is also conceivable to arrange and, in particular, attach an ensemble of furniture on the platform, for example, a workspace with an office chair, desk and shelf.
[0059] Several such platforms with ensembles of furniture can also be arranged adjacent to each other.
[0060] The platform 1 itself has a base 2 and a support element 3 which is mounted to be simultaneously translationally and rotationally movable relative to the base 2 and has a support surface 31 for arranging the furniture or household appliance.
[0061] As can be seen in particular from a comparison of Figures 1 and 2, the base 2 and the support element 3 have mutually facing planar bearing areas 21, 33.
[0062] In the illustrated embodiment, the bearing area 21 of the base 2 has six guide tracks 22, 34 and the bearing area 33 of the support element 3 has two guide tracks 22, 34. The bearing area 33 of the support element 3 and the bearing area 21 of the base 2 have guide elements 4 that can be guided in or on contours of the guide tracks 22, 34.
[0063] In the illustrated embodiments, a guide plate 32 is attached to the underside of the support element 3, opposite the support surface 31. Guide tracks 34 are inserted into this guide plate, and guide elements 4 and a sliding or rolling plate 35 are attached to it. Alternatively, the guide tracks and guide elements 4 can be arranged directly on the support element 3 with support surface 31, and the guide plate can be omitted.
[0064] In principle, a different number of guideways (22, 34) and guide elements (4) is also conceivable.
[0065] It is also conceivable in principle to arrange guideways only on the support element 3 and corresponding guide elements 4 on the base 2 or vice versa.
[0066] The guideways 22, 34 are shaped in such a way that, when moment is applied to the support element 3, the support element 3 can be moved from an initial position via an intermediate position, in which the support element 3 is rotated relative to the base 2 in one of two possible opposite directions of rotation Ri, R2 and displaced in the translational direction Ai, by further rotation in one of two possible opposite directions of rotation Ri, R2 and displacement in the translational direction A2 to an end position identical to the initial position or to an end position offset by a distance in a direction x.
[0067] Exemplary directions of rotation Ri, R2 and directions of translation Ai , A2 are shown in Figure 17.
[0068] As further shown in Figures 2 to 6, at least four sliding or rolling elements 5 are attached to the support element 3 for the movable support of the platform 1 on a floor or functional base 10.
[0069] Depending on the geometric design of the support element 3, it is also conceivable to attach only three such sliding or rolling elements 5 to the support element 3, or even more than four sliding or rolling elements 5. Furthermore, in at least one of the bearing areas 21, 33, several support elements 6, 7 projecting from the bearing area 21, 33 are arranged.
[0070] In the embodiments shown in Figures 2 to 6, support elements 6 designed as ball rollers with a ball 61 held in a receiving housing 62 are arranged in the bearing area of the base 2.
[0071] The support elements 6 are, as shown by way of example in figures 3 and 6, received in a receptacle 23 provided for this purpose in the bearing area 21 of the base 2.
[0072] In the embodiment shown in Figures 2 to 4, a total of two such support elements 6 designed as ball rollers are mounted in the base 2.
[0073] The support elements 6 are mounted centrally in the base 2.
[0074] The guide elements 4 are arranged relatively far towards the edge in the base 2 and in the guide plate 32 of the support element 3 on a line parallel to two opposite outer edges at approximately the same distance from these outer edges, leaving the central area of the bearing area 33 of the support element 3 clear.
[0075] In a preferred embodiment, a sliding or rolling plate 35 with a low coefficient of friction and high hardness is attached here, positioned opposite the support elements 6 in the base 2. Alternatively, the plate can also be made of a material with the same coefficient of friction.
[0076] Instead of such a sliding or rolling plate 35, it is also conceivable to make a geometrically corresponding surface of the bearing area 33 of the support element 3, in the illustrated embodiment the guide plate 32, particularly smooth and thus achieve low friction to the support elements 6, 7 during translational-rotational movement of the support element 3 relative to the base 2.
[0077] To provide additional support for the base 2 on a floor or functional base 10, the base 2 is fixed to a substructure 8, 9 in the embodiments shown in Figures 2 to 6. The substructure 8, 9 is in turn attached to the floor or functional base 10, for example by means of screws 11.
[0078] The substructure 8 shown in Figure 3 has a substructure body 81 in which three of the side edges are bent in a U-shape, so that the upper part of each forms a bearing surface 83 on which a lower surface 26 of the base 2 rests. In order to ensure support in a more central area of the base 2 as well, the substructure 8 further has fixing beams 82 which are attached by bolts 86 on one side to the substructure body 81 and on the other side to the base 2.
[0079] The substructure 8 further serves to enable compensation of assembly tolerances. For this purpose, bores 25 are provided in the base 2, the diameter of which is wider than that of a plate of countersunk head screws 85 which are supported on the bearing area 21 of the base 2, the neck of which has a smaller diameter than the bore 25, so that the base 2 on the substructure 8 accordingly enables tolerance compensation in the xy-plane.
[0080] Furthermore, the substructure 8 has a support edge 84 on which a central area of the base 2, in which the support elements 6 are also arranged, can be supported.
[0081] The guide elements 4 are fixed in corresponding bores 24 in the base 2, as shown by way of example in Figure 3. The guide elements 4 can also be fixed to the support element 3 in an analogous manner.
[0082] In contrast to the embodiment shown in Figure 2, in the embodiment shown in Figure 5, three such support elements 6 are incorporated into the base 2.
[0083] The three support elements 6, which are also designed as ball rollers, are also embedded in a central area of the base 2.
[0084] The further embodiment of a substructure 9 shown in Figure 6 also has a substructure body 91. The bearing surfaces 92 of this substructure are slidably fixed to the substructure body 91 along a guide groove.
[0085] Exemplary embodiments of the support elements 6 designed as ball rollers are shown in Figures 7 to 11. In the embodiment according to Figures 7 to 9, the balls 61 of the support element 6 are mounted in a ball bearing 64 provided in the receiving housing 62.
[0086] The receiving housing 62 is cylindrical in design and preferably has a collar 63 that bears against support surfaces 27 on the bearing area 21 of the base 2. In the illustrated embodiment, the support surface 27 of the base 2 is stepped and recessed.
[0087] By inserting one or more washers 12 onto this support surface 27 at the bearing area 21, it is possible, as shown in Figure 9, to place the support elements 6 at vertically different heights.
[0088] Figure 7 shows two such support elements 6 designed as ball rollers with the platform unloaded.
[0089] Under load, the supporting element 3 may deflect slightly in the central area.
[0090] In order to prevent such deflection from becoming so large that the sliding or rolling elements 5 attached to the outside of the support element 3 are at risk of becoming blocked and that the guide elements 4 do not jam in the guide tracks 22, 34, the support elements 6 are arranged in such a way that deflection can only occur up to a certain degree.
[0091] An example of a loaded state of the platform is shown in Figure 8, in which the support element 3 with its bearing area 33 rests on the balls 61 of the support elements 6.
[0092] As an alternative to raising the position of the support elements 6 by means of washers 12, as shown in Figure 9, an alternative way of adjusting the height of the receiving housing 62 is shown in Figures 10 and 11.
[0093] Here, the receiving housing 62 is cylindrical with an external thread 65, which is height-adjustable and mounted in an internal thread 28 located in the bearing area 21. The internal thread 28 can be a sleeve with an internal thread inserted into the designated receptacle 23 of the base 2 or into the support element 3.
[0094] In the embodiment shown in Figures 12 to 16, instead of a support element 6 designed as a ball roller, a support element 7 designed as a steering roller is arranged centrally in the receptacle 23 in the base 2.
[0095] The support element 7, designed as a steering roller, has a roller 71 held on a swivel bearing 73 via a roller receptacle 72.
[0096] The rotary bearing 73 can be attached directly to the base or functional floor 10, as shown by way of example in Figure 13.
[0097] It is also conceivable to design the receptacle 23 for the support element 7 as a blind hole, so that in this case the rotary bearing 73 is attached to the bottom of the base 2.
[0098] Figures 14 and 15 show the support element 7 in the unloaded position, meaning that the roller 71 is not in contact with the sliding or rolling plate 35 of the support element 3. Figure 16, on the other hand, shows the situation in which the roller 71 is loaded by the support element 3 and is in contact with the sliding or rolling plate 35 or another component of the bearing area 33.
[0099] Figures 17 and 18 show an exemplary arrangement of a modular interior furnishing system consisting of at least two pieces of furniture or household appliances for rooms on two platforms 1 as described above.
[0100] The exemplary furnishing of the platforms 1 consists of a table 16 and a seating element 13 partially framed by a back wall 14 and side panels 15.
[0101] Figure 17 shows a positioning of the platforms 1, in which the two tables 16 and the seating elements 13 are positioned next to each other in a row.
[0102] Figure 18 shows a positioning of the arrangement in which the tables 16 and seating elements 13 are positioned facing each other after the translational-rotational movement has been completed. Reference numeral list
