Claims

Systems and methods are provided for recommending seeding rates for agricultural plots. One exemplary computer-implemented method involves accessing data related to multiple agricultural plots in a region and separating the accessed data into a training set and a validation set, based on the timing of crop harvests for the multiple plots. The method also includes training a set of models, representative of the seeding rate in relation to yield, based on the training set, and generating a response curve, which defines the yield response to the seeding rate, based on the trained set of models, and generating a validation curve, based on the validation set.The method also includes calculating an error between the generated response curve and the validation curve and recommending a planting rate for a target plot in the region, based on the response curve and the calculated error.
