The present application provides a nodular cast iron material, a composition containing same, a brake head, and a preparation method for the nodular cast iron material. The nodular cast iron material comprises the following components in percentage by mass: C 3.35%-3.81%, Si 2.35%-2.75%, Cu 0.1%-0.28%, Mn 0.15%-0.33%, P≤0.03%, S≤0.02%, and the balance of iron and inevitable impurities.
