[0122] Figures 1 to 7 Different stages of a method for producing a composite material component 10 with an integrated electrical conductor circuit 12 are shown. Figures 1 to 7 The different devices 22 , 26 , 32 , 34 , 42 , 46 , 54 , 56 , 70 shown for carrying out the method are part of an apparatus, designated as a whole by 14 , for producing a composite material component with an integrated electrical conductor circuit 12 . Fig. 9 An example of application of this type of composite component 10 is shown. The apparatus 14 may be, for example, a production facility for producing composite components 10, which in principle is already used, for example, in aircraft construction, but with the modifications listed below.
[0123] Figure 1 A support 16 is provided, to which the conductor track 12 is first applied. The support 16 used is in particular a release film 18 or a pull-off film. The release film 18 used is, for example, a release film which is currently used in a similar manner for the production of composite components.
[0124] like Figure 2 As shown, the electrical conductor circuit 12 is then applied to the first surface 20 of the support 16. The application takes place in particular by printing.
[0125] Figure 2 An exemplary embodiment of a conductor circuit application device 22 is shown, by means of which a predetermined pattern of conductor tracks 24 is applied by selective application of an electrically conductive material, in particular a metal.
[0126] To this end, the conductor circuit application device 22 has in particular a conductor circuit printing device 26 for printing the conductor circuit 12. The conductor circuit printing device 26 has a conductor circuit application controller 28, wherein the pattern to be manufactured is stored in a memory as a corresponding file and the conductor circuit application controller 28 is designed to move a moving device 30 (e.g., a robot arm) of the conductor circuit printing device 26 and actuate a metal material supply device 32, which is in particular designed as a printing nozzle for supplying metal material to the conductor track 24.
[0127] Figure 2 Also shown is a separation film providing device 34 by which the separation film 18 can be provided for printing purposes. By way of example, the separation film 18 can be unwound from a suitable supply reel 36 .
[0128] like Figure 2 As shown, the print head 38 is moved and actuated on the first surface 20 of the separation film 18 for correspondingly printing the conductor tracks 24 in a manner controlled by the conductor circuit application controller 28 according to a pattern stored therein for forming the conductor circuits 12 .
[0129] Thus, the electrical conductor circuit 12 may be prepared from high quality conductive material in a highly precise manner under controlled laboratory conditions.
[0130] according to Figure 3 , a heat-activatable adhesive 40 is then applied to the conductor circuit 12 .
[0131] To this end, an exemplary embodiment of an adhesive application device 42 is shown in Figure 3 middle.
[0132] The adhesive application device 42 has an adhesive application controller 44 for controlling the application process of the adhesive 40. By way of example, the adhesive application controller 44 is connected to the conductor track application controller 28 or is designed together with it, so that the predefined pattern of the conductor tracks 24 can also be used for the movement control of the adhesive application device 42.
[0133] The adhesive application device 42 has an adhesive providing device 46 for providing the adhesive 40 in a free-flowing form.
[0134] The adhesive 40 provided is a heat-sensitive adhesive. In particular, an adhesive 40 is provided that is activated at a temperature above a predetermined activation temperature and cures at such a temperature. In particular, a thermosetting adhesive is provided.
[0135] The adhesive applicator 42 has an application tool 48 (e.g., with a nozzle 50, a brush (not shown) or the like), which can be controlled in terms of its position by another moving device 52 (e.g., a gantry system) to conform to the contour of the conductor traces 24 of the conductor circuit 12.
[0136] The adhesive application device 42 can be arranged at the same location (e.g., the preparation station of the device 14) or at another station, such as the conductor circuit application device 22. In the latter case, the support 16 (which is designed as a separation film 18, for example) is transferred from the support 16 to the adhesive application device 42 by means of a suitable conveying device 54. Figure 2 The conductor circuit application device 22 shown is transported to Figure 3 An adhesive application device 42 is shown.
[0137] The application of the adhesive 40 takes place on the sides of the conductor tracks 24 and / or other elements of the conductor circuit 12 which face away from the separating film 18 .
[0138] In this way, the temperature sensitive adhesive 40 is applied to the conductor circuit 12 by means of the adhesive application device 42. In a similar manner, insulation (which is formed of several layers) and protective material can also be added at this station.
[0139] The conveying device 54 or another conveying device 54 transports the support member 16 from the adhesive application device 42 to the composite component blank providing device 56. The conveying step is shown in Figure 4 and Figure 5 Among them Figure 4 It is also shown that by appropriately turning over or otherwise orienting the support 16 , the first surface 20 , which is provided with the conductor circuits 12 and initially faces upward, points towards a component surface 60 of the composite component blank 58 to be provided with the conductor circuits 12 .
[0140] The composite component blank providing device 56 may be any preparation device that provides a blank for a fiber-reinforced composite material (which includes fibers embedded in a matrix material). By way of example, a component of an aircraft 62 (in particular an airplane 64) or a component of a wind power generation facility 66 (such as Figure 8 and Fig. 9 shown) is preformed by means of a providing device 56 of this type.
[0141] During the otherwise customary production of the composite component 10, in particular by means of a suitable function of the conveying device 54, the support 16, which is designed, for example, as a separating membrane 18, is turned over and brought into direct contact with the last layer of the composite component blank 58. The subsequent composite component 10, which is to be produced from the composite component blank 58 by curing, can in particular be a panel of a blade 68 of an aircraft 64 or a wind power plant 66, which panel is formed from a fiber-reinforced plastic, such as, for example, a carbon fiber-reinforced plastic or a glass fiber-reinforced plastic.
[0142] exist Figure 5 In the embodiment of the present invention, direct contact is preferably made on a component surface 60 which is directed outwards or inwards during subsequent operations. The support 16 is preferably applied to the component surface 60 which is later surrounded by a "vacuum packaging" ("bag side").
[0143] The release membrane 18 may also be placed on the side of the tool that faces the molding tool ("tool side") or on an inner surface (such as a flange, etc.).
[0144] When contacting is made, the first surface 20 , in particular the conductor track 12 , which is applied to the first surface 20 , is in contact with the component surface 60 , with the adhesive 40 interposed therebetween.
[0145] Figure 6 The step of curing a composite component blank 58 is shown, thereby producing a composite component 10. A curing device 70, which in a known manner has a mold 72 (e.g. a molding tool), an autoclave 74 or a furnace and possibly a press or a vacuum packaging device (not shown), is used for this purpose.
[0146] The curing device 70 is also provided with a temperature control device 78 which controls the temperature of the composite material component 10 during curing by means of a heating device. In the process, a temperature above the activation temperature of the adhesive 40 is reached.
[0147] Furthermore, support member 16 is pressed together with composite part blank 58 by appropriate pressure in press 76 and / or autoclave 74 (which may be similarly controlled) so that adhesive 40 cures at elevated temperature and pressure while composite part blank 58 cures.
[0148] In one process, the composite component blank 58 is included in the film together with the release film 18 (which is applied to the composite component blank 58 and subjected to the action of vacuum), so that a very tight package is prepared and the mold is consolidated. The composite is then moved to the autoclave 74 for curing purposes. In the autoclave 74, the high temperature (e.g., 120° C. to 180° C.) activates the adhesive 40, thereby ensuring a good adhesive connection between the conductor circuit 12 and the composite component 10.
[0149] like Figure 6 As shown, the composite part 10 is removed from the autoclave 74 when the curing step has been completed.
[0150] The support 16 , which is designed, for example, as a separating film 18 , is removed from the composite component 10 , wherein the conductor tracks 12 remain strongly adhesively bonded to the component surface 60 .
[0151] After the separation film 18 has been removed, the printed conductor track 12 remains strongly connected to the composite component 10 in this way.
[0152] Thus, the composite material component 10 provided with the conductor circuit 12 can be used for different purposes.
[0153] As an application example, Figure 8 An aircraft 64 is shown as an example of a vehicle, in particular an aircraft. Here, for example, a panel, which forms a sub-region of a wing, for example, can be formed from a suitable composite material component 10, so that an electrical device on the wing can be actuated by means of a conductor circuit 12.
[0154] Fig. 9 A wind power plant 66 is shown as another example of a possible use of a composite component 10, which is provided with a conductor circuit 12. By way of example, a blade 68 of the wind power plant 66 consists of a composite component 10 designed as a panel. The conductor circuit 12 integrated therein can be used to actuate a position light 80 on the blade tip. Sensors can also be fitted to the blade 68, which sensors can send wired signals via the conductor circuit 12 and can thus be actuated via said conductor circuit.
[0155] It goes without saying that in all application examples, actuators or the like can also be supplied with power and / or control signals via the conductor circuit 12 .
