[0002] Furthermore, the present invention also relates to a method for operating such a laundry treatment machine, wherein laundry in a drum is wetted by the introduction of treatment liquid through a first injector, wherein the drum rotates rapidly in a predetermined first rotational direction such that the laundry adheres to a housing, and the treatment liquid is conveyed through the laundry and the housing to a gap and a liquid container and therein forms a liquid film flowing in a flow direction parallel to the first rotational direction. Background Technology
[0003] Document DE 40 09 046 A1 discloses a laundry detergent dispenser and a method of the corresponding category. Therein, a laundry detergent dispenser is disclosed that, in order to supply fresh water to the washing process, has a spraying device in addition to a common rinsing system for detergent, which allows fresh water to be sprayed directly into the drum and onto the laundry located within the drum. After the laundry is placed in and the washing process is started, the drum, along with the still-dry laundry, is brought to a rotational speed at which the laundry adheres to the drum and forms a laundry ring. Then, fresh water is sprayed into the interior of the laundry ring by means of the spraying device until the laundry is saturated, causing a corresponding sensor in the detergent container to detect the water level in the detergent container. The spraying of fresh water is then stopped, and the detergent supplied in the rinsing system is rinsed into the detergent container by means of additional fresh water.
[0004] Document DE 199 08 804 A1 discloses a laundry treatment machine configured to circulate laundry liquid and having a circulation line with a circulation pump and a heating device. During the wetting phase of the washing process, fresh water is supplied to the laundry in the laundry drum until the laundry is saturated with liquid and a continuous flow of liquid can be detected in the circulation line. Then, the supply of fresh water is stopped, and in the subsequent heating phase, the liquid conveyed through the circulation line is heated by means of the heating device.
[0005] Document DE 10 2013 225 532 B3 discloses a laundry detergent processor having an internal cleaning device for a detergent solution used to wash laundry. An axially circumferential channel is provided in the detergent solution container, and the cleaning device is connected to this channel. A drum has an external structure extending into the channel, which, as the drum rotates, conveys the detergent solution into the channel and to the cleaning device.
[0006] Document DE 10 2011 086 142 A1 discloses a laundry detergent dispenser having a detergent container and a drum supported in the detergent container in a manner rotatable about a rotation axis. A structure is arranged on the outer drum surface and the side wall of the detergent container in an intermediate space between the drum surface and the wall, the structure generating an axial airflow pointing towards the rear wall of the detergent container when the drum rotates about the rotation axis.
[0007] To improve the energy balance of a laundry detergent dispenser, various measures are considered not only for its intended use but also for the design of its mechanical and electrical components. For example, the typical load of laundry that the dispenser can hold in a single wash cycle is increased, while simultaneously reducing the amount of fresh water required for that cycle. As a result, the wash cycle becomes more efficient, and the energy required to heat the fresh water to the desired wash temperature is reduced. Additionally, the wash temperature can be lowered, whereby, to compensate, the mechanical handling of the laundry is increased. Through these measures, the mechanical energy required to rotate the drum along with the laundry is increased.
[0008] The market's dominant demand for maximum possible energy efficiency has led to laundry detergent dispensers being designed to operate with increasingly higher loads of laundry in a given drum volume. About 20 years ago, such drum volumes were considered to be between 10 and 20 liters per kilogram of laundry, while now they are considered to be between 6.5 and 7.5 liters per kilogram. This has particularly resulted in greater time consumption in laundry detergent dispensers at the start of the wash cycle, ensuring adequate and even wetting of the laundry. Especially with high drum loads, initially dry laundry creates flow barriers to the uniform flow of water or other treatment liquids and requires considerable time, significantly prolonging the entire wash cycle. Therefore, existing technologies include various measures and methods for shortening the wetting phase. These include: introducing treatment liquid into the detergent container at multiple locations, supporting the distribution of treatment liquid through a suction device mounted on the drum or by a circulation pump, and conveying treatment liquid from the area below the drum in the detergent container into the drum. Summary of the Invention
[0009] In this technological context, there is a need for simple and effective means and methods to improve, and especially more effectively, the utilization of the treatment liquid in a rotating drum to wet laundry. Furthermore, possibilities for further saving energy and time should also be realized.
[0010] To solve this task, the present invention provides a laundry detergent with the genus features listed at the beginning, which additionally has the features according to the invention.
[0011] To address this task, a corresponding method for operating the laundry treatment machine according to the invention is also provided.
[0012] Preferred configurations of the present invention are described in the following description, and even if not explicitly explained herein, these preferred configurations can be used in combination with each other, provided that technical considerations permit. Even if not explicitly explained herein, a preferred configuration of the laundry detergent machine according to the present invention corresponds to a preferred configuration of the method according to the present invention, and vice versa.
[0013] To address this task, a laundry detergent processor is provided according to the present invention, comprising: a housing; a detergent container disposed in the housing for receiving a treatment liquid; a drum disposed in the detergent container and rotatable about a rotation axis, the drum having an internal space for receiving laundry to be treated with the treatment liquid, the drum having a generally cylindrical perforated cover forming a gap with the detergent container; an inlet assembly for allowing the treatment liquid to enter the detergent container, the inlet assembly having a first ejector for directly introducing the treatment liquid into the internal space; and an outlet assembly for discharging the treatment liquid from the detergent container. The laundry detergent processor additionally comprises: a collection assembly mounted on the detergent container and extending into the gap for collecting a liquid film flowing in a generally tangential flow direction on the detergent container; an outlet channel connected to the collection assembly for drawing out the treatment liquid collected by the collection assembly; and a second ejector connected to the outlet channel for introducing the drawn-out treatment liquid into the internal space.
[0014] To address this task, the present invention also provides a method for operating the laundry treatment machine as described above, wherein laundry in a drum is wetted by the introduction of treatment liquid through a first ejector, wherein the drum rotates rapidly in a predetermined first rotational direction, causing the laundry to adhere to a housing, and the treatment liquid is conveyed through the laundry and the housing to a gap and a liquid container, where a liquid film is formed flowing in a flow direction parallel to the first rotational direction. In this method, a collection assembly collects the liquid film and leads the collected treatment liquid to an outlet channel, and the treatment liquid led out through the outlet channel is conveyed into an internal space by means of a second ejector.
[0015] Therefore, the present invention begins by wetting initially dry laundry while the drum rapidly moves the laundry, causing it to adhere to the drum's casing. Specifically, the drum's rotational speed corresponds to a speed typically used to centrifugally separate the treatment liquid present in the laundry. In the present case, the centrifugal force generated during such rotation is used to drive the treatment liquid through the dry laundry. The present invention takes advantage of the fact that the treatment liquid, having passed through the laundry and centrifugated from the drum into the gap between the drum and the liquid container, forms a liquid film on the inner side of the liquid container, which moves in the same direction as the rotating drum. According to the invention, this liquid film is collected or captured by a collecting assembly arranged in the liquid container and led out into one or more outlet channels. The led-out treatment liquid reaches a second ejector through the outlet channel, by which it is reintroduced into the drum's interior space and thus able to re-flow through the laundry. Therefore, according to the present invention, the kinetic energy of the treatment liquid centrifugated into the gap is fully utilized so as to re-deliver the treatment liquid to the laundry to be wetted. If the supplied treatment liquid contains undissolved detergent or detergent aids, the return of the treatment liquid according to the present invention can also cause the undissolved detergent or detergent aids to be strongly swirled and support their dissolution.
[0016] When laundry is tumbled in a centrifugal detergent processor, whether for wetting before washing and / or rinsing or for dehumidifying after washing and / or rinsing, especially at particularly high speeds, a pumping effect occurs. This pumping effect occurs because air in the drum, along with the processing liquid there, is propelled by centrifugal force through the perforated casing of the drum into the gap between the drum and the liquid container. Subsequently, a pressure difference arises between the drum's internal space and the gap, which is compensated by an airflow from the gap and through the drum opening into the internal space. This airflow carries away droplets of processing liquid from the gap and transports them back into the drum, to the laundry there. In centrifugal tumbling for dehumidification, this pumping effect can hinder the dehumidification of the laundry by causing the centrifugally separated processing liquid to return to the laundry. Therefore, this pumping effect is undesirable in the case of centrifugal tumbling for dehumidification. In the context of this invention, the pump effect is advantageously used to transport the treatment fluid drawn from the liquid film back into the internal space, in such a way that the outlet channel is also used to compensate for the pressure difference caused by the pump effect, wherein the compensating airflow flows parallel to the treatment fluid and thereby drives the treatment fluid.
[0017] In principle, this invention can be applied to any type of laundry detergent having at least one rotatable drum for the laundry to be treated, especially because the cost of applying this invention is quite low. In addition to conventional washing machines, washer-dryer combos are also considered. The orientation of the drum's axis of rotation in space is not important. The axis of rotation can be oriented substantially horizontally as detailed below, but it can also be vertical or oriented at any angle to the vertical.
[0018] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the washing liquid container is connected to the housing via a movable manschette and can be closed through a door, with a second injector disposed within the manschette. This provides an easily formed interface for the outlet channel facing the interior space of the roller.
[0019] In another preferred embodiment of the invention, the outlet channel is connected to the collection assembly approximately centrally about the axis of rotation within the wash liquid container. Therefore, the treatment liquid located in the liquid film can be collected from both the front and rear regions of the wash liquid container, resulting in particularly good return of the treatment liquid from the liquid film.
[0020] In another preferred embodiment of the invention, the collection assembly includes a guide structure mounted on the washing liquid container, particularly a guide strip protruding from the washing liquid container or a guide groove submerged in the washing liquid container. Using one or more such guide structures (e.g., guide grooves and / or guide strips), the liquid film can be specifically guided to one or more outlet channels, thereby improving the effectiveness of returning the treated liquid from the liquid film. Particularly preferred is that the guide structure spirals outward from the outlet channel and winds around the washing liquid container against the flow direction.
[0021] In another preferred embodiment of the invention, the casing is structured in a spiral shape. For this purpose, corresponding embossed portions can be provided, which protrude from or recess into the washing liquid container toward the gap. These embossed portions can induce axial or spiral airflow within the gap, which can also be used to transport the liquid film to the outlet channel.
[0022] In another preferred embodiment of the invention, the gap has a narrowing at the interface of the outlet channel. This narrowing causes an acceleration of the airflow through the narrowing in the gap, which is transmitted to the liquid film and supports the delivery of the liquid film into the outlet channel.
[0023] In another preferred embodiment of the invention, the outlet channel extends substantially tangentially into the washing solution container about the axis of rotation. This also facilitates the improved delivery of the treatment solution into the outlet channel.
[0024] In another preferred embodiment of the invention, the outlet channel has a cross-section that tapers from the interface connected to the collection assembly toward the second injector. This accelerates the flow of air and processing fluid through the outlet channel and improves the return of the processing fluid to the internal space.
[0025] In another preferred embodiment of the invention, a control device is provided for controlling the drive of the drum. Particularly preferably, a sensor is provided, connected to the control device, by means of which the volume of liquid flowing in the liquid film can be measured, wherein the control device is configured to control the drive based on the measured volume. Particularly preferably, the sensor is configured to measure the power consumed by the drive. This is achieved, in particular, by measuring the current consumed by the drive while the supply voltage of the drive remains largely constant according to conventional practice. Using such a measurement, different parameters of the laundry supplied to the washing process can be measured. In particular, the current is related to the mass of the laundry. Therefore, it is possible to infer the mass of the initially still dry laundry from this measurement, and thereby estimate the mass of treatment liquid required for complete wetting. Subsequently, it is also possible to determine the mass of treatment liquid actually received by the laundry. Correspondingly (supplemented by measurements from other sensors if necessary), the wetting of the laundry according to the invention can be controlled as needed.
[0026] The preferred laundry detergent for implementing the present invention is a washing machine.
[0027] In an additional preferred embodiment of the invention, the laundry is treated with a treatment liquid, particularly during the washing process (where the treatment liquid is a washing solution), or during the rinsing process (where the washing solution is provided as fresh water and converted into rinsing solution by receiving the remaining portion of the washing solution), by means of a correspondingly rapid rotation of a drum in a second rotational direction opposite to the first rotational direction. This centrifugal swirling motion in the second rotational direction prevents the liquid film from being collected and returned to the drum during centrifugal swirling for dehumidification, which could impair the effect of centrifugal swirling. If necessary, a valve or similar device can also be provided in the outlet channel to prevent the return of the treatment liquid.
[0028] In yet another preferred embodiment of the invention, the mass of the laundry in the drum is determined before wetting, and the rotational speed of the drum is controlled according to the mass during wetting. Attached Figure Description

[0036] Figure 1 A schematic embodiment of a laundry treatment machine 1 according to the present invention is shown in partial sectional view from the front. The laundry treatment machine has a housing 2 and a washing liquid container 3 disposed therein, the washing liquid container being used to receive treatment liquid, particularly for receiving washing liquid and rinsing liquid for textiles. The laundry treatment machine 1 is constructed as a washing machine 1. A drum 4 rotatable about a rotation axis 5 is arranged in the washing liquid container 3. The rotation axis 5 is... Figure 1 The symbol is shown as an X, surrounded by a curved arrow that serves as a rotation symbol. Drum 4 has a feature for receiving the processing liquid to be used (in...). Figure 1 The interior space of the wash (not visible in the center) 11 also has a generally cylindrical perforated cover 7, which forms a gap 10 with the wash liquid container 3. The cover 7... Figure 1 It is not explicitly marked, but can be seen as a dotted line. A carrying component 32 is mounted on the inside of the housing 7 (see...). Figure 3 The carrying element is used to lift and move the laundry 11 upwards and relative to each other when the drum 4 rotates, thereby mechanically processing the laundry in addition to processing it with a correspondingly combined washing liquid and, if necessary, an increased temperature.
[0037] Inlet components 12, 13, 14, and 15 are used to allow the treatment liquid to enter the washing liquid container 3, and outlet components 16, 17, and 18 are used to allow the treatment liquid to exit from the washing liquid container 3. Figure 1The flushing housing 12 in the inlet assemblies 12, 13, 14, and 15 is schematically shown. A user can inject detergent and detergent auxiliaries into this flushing housing, where they mix with fresh water and are then directed to the detergent container 3. The latter occurs via an inlet siphon 13, which creates a seal to isolate the air space within the detergent container 3 from the surrounding environment, preventing humid air from entering the environment from the detergent container 3. The inlet siphon 13 leads to a first inlet 14 in the rear region of the detergent container 3. Figure 1 The outlet 16, pump 17, and outlet siphon 18 of the outlet assemblies 16, 17, and 18 are shown. The outlet is directly molded onto the wash liquid container 3 and located in the central region of the wash liquid container 3. The pump is used to draw the treatment liquid from the wash liquid container 3. The treatment liquid delivered by the pump 17 flows out of the laundry treatment machine 1 through the outlet siphon.
[0038] The detergent container 3 is vibratoryly suspended within the housing 2 by springs and impact dampers (not shown for clarity), thereby compensating for imbalances that may occur, especially when the drum 4 rotates rapidly along with the placed laundry 11, even when the housing 2 is stationary. The detergent container 3 is connected to the housing 2 by a movable, elastic rubber collar 19. Figure 1 An invisible, sealable door 20 is provided. By opening door 20, the user can access the interior space 6 to place or retrieve laundry 11.
[0039] A collection assembly 21 is installed on the inside of the washing solution container 3. Figure 1 Invisible in the middle, see for this point. Figure 4 The collecting assembly extends into the gap 10. This assembly collects a liquid film 22 flowing in a generally tangential direction on the washing liquid container 3, formed when the soaked laundry 11 adheres to the casing 7 of the drum 4 due to the rapid rotation of the drum 4, and the processing liquid is squeezed out of the soaked laundry due to centrifugal force. This operation of the drum 4 is commonly referred to as "centrifugal swirl." Figure 1The flow direction of the liquid film, indicated by the dashed arrow, corresponds to the rotation direction of the roller 4. An outlet channel 23 for drawing out the treated liquid collected by the collection assembly 21 and a second ejector 24 connected to the outlet channel 23 are attached to the collection assembly 21. This second ejector is used to introduce the drawn-out treated liquid into the internal space 6. The gap 10 has a narrowing 27 at the interface of the outlet channel 23 to accelerate the airflow in the gap 10 caused by the rotating roller 4 at this location and thereby support the delivery of the liquid film 22 into the outlet channel 23. The casing 7 of the roller 4 is helically structured by a corresponding press-in portion to apply an axial component about the rotation axis 5 to the aforementioned airflow and thereby deflect the liquid film 22 toward the outlet channel 23. The outlet channel 23 extends substantially tangentially about the rotation axis 5 into the washing liquid container 3, which is achieved through… Figure 1 The dashed arrow in the diagram indicates this. This also supports the delivery of liquid film 22 to outlet channel 23.
[0040] During centrifugal tumbling, the rapidly rotating drum 4 not only conveys the treatment liquid through its casing 7, but also conveys air, which, like the treatment liquid, is subjected to centrifugal force. This creates an overpressure of air in the gap 10, which, in the current case, can be advantageously used to squeeze the liquid film 22 into the outlet channel 23 and back into the internal space 6. Thus, the treatment liquid flowing into the outlet channel 23 receives a favorable drive, which supports the return of the treatment liquid to the internal space 6. However, if the centrifugal tumbling is not used for wetting the laundry 11 as is currently the case, but for dehumidifying the laundry, then returning the treatment liquid to the internal space 6 is counterproductive. A remedy can be provided using various measures: by means of a corresponding valve, a connection can be established from the outlet channel to the discharge section 16 of the washing liquid container 3, thereby discharging the treatment liquid generated during centrifugal tumbling for dehumidification into the discharge section 16. It is also helpful to, in the case of centrifugal tumbling for dehumidification, make the drum 4... Figure 1 The rotation direction shown is reversed to reverse the collection effect of the collection component and cause the liquid film 22 to deviate from the outlet channel 23.
[0041] although Figure 1 Only one export channel 23 is shown, but it is also possible and potentially advantageous to have multiple export channels 23.
[0042] according to Figure 1 The laundry detergent 1 has a control device 28, which is configured to control the operation of the laundry detergent 1 as a whole.
[0043] As from Figure 2 Chinese combination Figure 1As can be seen, the wash solution container 3 is connected to the housing 2 via a movable collar 9 and can be closed via a door 20. Like the first injector 15, the second injector 24 is also arranged within the collar 19. The outlet channel 23 is connected to the collection assembly 21, approximately centered in the height dimension, about the axis of rotation 5, within the wash solution container 3.
[0044] according to Figure 2 The outlet channel 23 has a cross-section that tapers from the interface connected to the collection assembly 21 toward the second injector 24. This accelerates the flow in the outlet channel 23, which facilitates the delivery of the treatment fluid there.
[0045] exist Figure 1 The control device 28 shown is specifically used to control the roller 4 in Figure 2 The actuator 29 is shown in the diagram. The actuator 29 includes a motor, a transmission mechanism, and a support structure for the roller 4 within the washing liquid container 3. These components are not shown for clarity. A sensor 30 is provided on the actuator 29 and connected to a control device 28. This sensor measures the amount of liquid flowing in the liquid film 22, and the control device 28 is configured to control the actuator 29 based on the measured amount. The sensor 30 is specifically configured to measure the power consumed by the actuator 29, from which the amount of laundry 11 and the amount of laundry wetted by the treatment liquid can be inferred.
[0046] Figure 3 The diagram shows two outlet channels 23 connected to the washing liquid container 3 with tangential interfaces, wherein, corresponding to the direction of movement of the liquid film 22 indicated by the dashed arrow, the left outlet channel 23 opens downward and the right outlet channel 23 opens upward. Figure 3 The actuator 32 in the roller 4 is also shown.
[0047] Figure 4 Showing according to Figure 1 and 2 or Figure 3 The laundry detergent dispenser 1 has a detergent container 3 equipped with a collection assembly 21. This collection assembly includes a guide structure 21, which is mounted, particularly embossed, or injection molded onto the detergent container 3, configured as a guide strip 21, and extends from the detergent container 3 into the gap 10. Specifically, there are multiple guide strips 21, oriented such that when the liquid film 22... Figure 3 As shown, these guide strips guide the liquid film to the outlet channel 23 during the movement. Therefore, this movement is necessary when the laundry 11 in the drum 4 needs to be wetted. The lowermost guide strip of the guide strips 21 extends below the outlet channel 23. That is, when the liquid film 22 moves in the opposite direction... Figure 4When moving as shown, the guide bar 21 guides the liquid film 22 out of the outlet channel 23 in any way. This prevents the treatment liquid from flowing from the liquid film 22 into the outlet channel 23. Therefore, this movement is necessary when the laundry 11 in the drum 4 needs to be dehumidified. The guide bar 21 spirals out of the outlet channel 23 and moves against the flow direction of the liquid film 22 toward the corresponding outer sides 25, 26 (see [reference]). Figure 2 ) around the washing liquid container 3.
[0048] Figure 5 Another embodiment of the collection assembly 21 in the wash solution container 3 is shown. In this embodiment, the collection assembly 21 is implemented as a guide groove 21 that is axially aligned with, and if necessary, inclined about the rotation axis 5, forming a guide structure 21. Here, the outlet channel 23 is axially connected to the wash solution container 3.
[0049] Figure 6 One embodiment of the second injector 24 is shown, in which it is connected to a first injector 15 configured as a jet pump. The processing fluid supplied through the first injector 15 thus serves as a propellant to transport air and processing fluid out through the outlet channel 23. The resulting mixture enters the interior space 6 through a common nozzle.
[0050] In use to run the corresponding Figures 1 to 6 In the method of the laundry detergent processor 1, the laundry 11 located in the drum 4 is wetted by the treatment liquid entering through the first ejector 15, wherein the drum 4 rotates rapidly in a predetermined first rotational direction, causing the laundry 11 to adhere to the housing 7, wherein the treatment liquid is finally conveyed through the laundry 11 and the housing 7 to the gap 10 and the detergent container 3, where a liquid film 22 flowing in a flow direction parallel to the first rotational direction is formed. Here, the collecting assembly 21 collects the liquid film 22 and leads the collected treatment liquid to the outlet channel 23, and the treatment liquid led out through the outlet channel 23 is conveyed to the internal space 6 by means of the second ejector 24. Before wetting, it is preferable to determine the mass of the laundry 11 in the drum 4, especially by means of the aforementioned sensor 30 or other sensor devices according to conventional practice, and control the rotational speed of the drum 4 according to this mass during wetting.
[0051] The washing stage following the wetting stage is as follows: in connection with the wetting stage, the washing liquid is used to treat the washing clothes 11, and then the treatment liquid in the washing clothes 11 is separated from the washing clothes 11 by means of the corresponding rapid rotation of the drum 4, that is, by means of centrifugal swishing, wherein the drum 4 rotates in a second rotation direction opposite to the first rotation direction.
[0052] Starting with wetting the initially dry laundry 11, the drum 4 moves these laundry items rapidly, causing them to adhere to the casing 7 of the drum 4. The centrifugal force generated during this rotation is used to drive the treatment liquid through the dry laundry 11. The treatment liquid, having passed through the laundry 11 and centrifugally swung from the drum 4 into the gap 10 between the drum and the liquid container 3, forms a liquid film 22 on the inner side of the liquid container 3, which moves in the same direction as the rotating drum 4. This liquid film 22 is collected or captured by a collecting assembly 21 arranged in the liquid container 3 and led out into one or more outlet channels 23. The led-out treatment liquid reaches a second ejector 24, by which it is reintroduced into the internal space 6 of the drum 4 and thus can re-flow through the laundry 11. Therefore, the kinetic energy of the treatment liquid centrifugated into the gap 10 is fully utilized to deliver the treatment liquid back to the laundry 11 to be wetted.
