Description

Technical Field

[0001] The invention relates to an earphone, in particular to a wireless earphone for obtaining biological signals. Background Art

[0002] As a method of measuring blood pressure, the oscillometric method has long been known. In the oscillometric method, a cuff is wrapped around the upper arm or wrist to compress the blood vessels, temporarily stop the blood flow, and then the cuff pressure is released to reduce the pressure. The blood pressure is measured based on the cuff pressure that reflects the vibration of the blood vessel wall synchronized with the heartbeat.

[0003] However, in the conventional oscillometric method, a cuff needs to be wrapped around the upper arm or wrist of the subject, and the tightening pressure of the cuff on the upper arm or wrist puts a heavy burden on the subject, making it difficult to measure blood pressure continuously.

[0004] Therefore, patent document 3 discloses a biological data measuring device, which is characterized in that it comprises an insertion portion worn on the outer ear of a person being tested, and a sensor arranged in the insertion portion for detecting the biological data of the person being tested, wherein the insertion portion is formed into a shape along the shape of the ear canal cavity and the shape of the external auditory canal (external auditory canal) of the person being tested based on three-dimensional data of the shape of the outer ear of the person being tested.

[0005] However, since the biological data measurement device needs to be molded into a shape along the ear canal cavity shape and external auditory canal shape of the subject based on the three-dimensional data of the subject's external ear shape, it is necessary to measure the subject's external ear shape for each subject and perform the molding, which is complicated.

[0055] Hereinafter, a first embodiment of the present invention will be described.

[0056] Figure 1The following are external views of the earphone 1 according to the embodiment of the present invention. (A) is a top view, (B) is a left side view, (C) is a front view, and (D) is a right side view. Figure 2 The internal structure of the earphone 1 is shown. Figure 1 (A) is a cross-sectional view in the AA mode. The axial direction of the sound conduit 3 perpendicular to the base end portion 23 is the Z-axis direction, and the directions perpendicular to the Z-axis and orthogonal to each other in the plane constituting the base end portion 23 are the X-axis and Y-axis directions.

[0057] The earphone 1 is for the left ear and includes a sound conduit 3, a housing 2, a speaker 41, a microphone 42, and a wireless communication board 54. The earphone 1 for the right ear has a shape symmetrical to the earphone 1 for the left ear in the X-axis direction.

[0058] The sound conduit 3 is a tubular component that transmits the sound output from the speaker 41. The sound conduit 3 is molded into a cylindrical shape using, for example, a thermoplastic resin. The inner radius of the hollow portion is, for example, greater than 3 mm. It should be noted that an earpiece (not shown) molded from silicone rubber or the like may be provided at the front end of the sound conduit 3. Thus, when the sound conduit 3 is inserted into the external auditory canal 74, the earpiece (not shown) is deformed and embedded in the hole, thereby being able to support the sound conduit 3 while maintaining the airtightness in the external auditory canal 74.

[0059] The housing 2 is a shell that accommodates the speaker 41, the microphone 42, the microphone substrate 43, the power supply 51, the main substrate 52, and the wireless communication substrate 54, and has a front portion 21, a connecting portion 26, and a rear portion 28. The front portion 21 is connected to the rear portion 28 via the connecting portion 26. In addition, the front portion 21, the connecting portion 26, and the rear portion 28 can be integrally formed with the sound conduit 3 by the same material as the sound conduit 3.

[0060] The front portion 21 is a portion that supports the base end of the sound conduit 3 and accommodates the speaker 41. The front portion 21 has an inclined surface 22 on the outer surface that is inclined relative to the Z-axis direction (or the X-axis direction orthogonal thereto), and has an eccentric frustum-shaped base end portion 23 that is formed into an annular shape that expands from the base end of the sound conduit 3 toward the -X side via the inclined surface, but slightly expands on the +X side, and is unfolded in the XY plane. As a result, the speaker 41 can be accommodated in the front portion 21 close to the sound conduit 3, and the front portion 21 can be accommodated in the ear cavity 72 without interfering with the tragus 71. In addition, the sound conduit 3 is inclined at an angle φ of, for example, 25 to 35 degrees, preferably about 30 degrees, relative to the Z-axis direction, and the inclined surface 22 is inclined at an angle θ of, for example, 25 to 35 degrees, preferably about 30 degrees, relative to the X-axis direction, and is formed into a concave shape. Thus, when the earphone 1 is worn on the ear 7 , the inclined surface 22 can be brought into contact with the inner surface of the ear canal cavity 72 , and the sound conduit 3 can be inserted into the ear canal 74 in the direction of the ear canal.

[0061] The speaker 41 is a device for outputting sound. Since the front portion 21 expands from the base end of the sound conduit 3 toward the X side, the speaker 41 can be large. The speaker 41 vibrates a vibration plate in a uniaxial direction (here, the Z-axis direction) according to an electrical signal input from the outside, such as a voice coil or a piezoelectric element, thereby emitting sound along a central axis parallel to the Z-axis and passing through the center of the speaker 41 (i.e., the vibration plate) (see Figure 7 It should be noted that the speaker 41 is located at the base end of the sound conduit 3, facing the Z-axis direction, and is accommodated in the front portion 21 offset to the X side relative to the sound conduit 3, so that the housing 2 can be reliably worn on the tragus 71 and the navicular fossa 73.

[0062] It should be noted that it is preferred that the housing 2 (or the sound conduit 3) is provided with an air hole 29 on the side of the sound conduit 3 relative to the speaker 41. A closed space is formed by the housing 2, the sound conduit 3, the external ear hole 74, and the eardrum. The air pressure in this space may be higher than the external air pressure. In such a case, the characteristics of the sound transmitted in the space may change. This is to prevent the above-mentioned characteristic changes. In this embodiment, the air hole 29 is provided on the inclined surface 22.

[0063] Figure 3 The front part 21 of the ring body 24 fitted in the base end part 23 is shown. Figure 1 (C) is a schematic cross-sectional view taken along line BB. An annular ring body 24 made of an elastic body is detachably fitted on the outer periphery of the base end portion 23, which can improve the fit when the earphone 1 is worn and stably wear the earphone 1 on the ear 7. Figure 3 (A) shows the ring protrusion 25 of the ring body 24, which protrudes outward in a convex shape at about 1 / 4 of its circumference. According to the shape (size) of the ear 7 of the wearer of the earphone 1, the ring body 24 with different protrusion heights of the ring protrusion 25 is embedded in the base end portion 23, so that the earphone 1 can be worn stably. It should be noted that when wearing on a small ear 7, the ring body 24 without the ring protrusion 25 can also be embedded in the base end portion 23.

[0064] Figure 3 (B) shows the arc-shaped portion 64 of the ring body 24 protruding in an arc shape at the portion where the ring body 24 contacts the tragus 71. By wearing the arc-shaped portion 64 on the tragus 71, it can be worn more stably and biosignals from the tragus 71 can be obtained more reliably, which is preferable.

[0065] The connection part 26 connects the front part 21 and the rear part 28, and accommodates and supports the microphone 42. The microphone 42 is arranged at a distance from the speaker 41 so as not to pick up the vibration of the speaker 41. The microphone 42 senses the vibration of the carotid artery wall synchronized with the heartbeat, and the vibration transmitted from the peripheral part of the ear 7, especially the tragus 71, as the pulse sound, and converts the pulse sound into an electrical signal and transmits it to the microphone substrate 43 arranged on the back side of the microphone 42. It should be noted that the microphone 42 is not limited to the connection part 26, as long as it can reliably sense the pulse sound, for example, it can be accommodated and supported in the rear part 28.

[0066] On the other hand, the rear portion 28 is a portion that accommodates the microphone substrate 43, the power supply 51, the main substrate 52, and the wireless communication substrate 54 on the -Z side of the connecting portion 26. When viewed from one side in the uniaxial direction (Z-axis direction) to the other side (from the sound conduit 3 side to the rear portion 28), the rear portion 28 has a substantially rectangular shape with the upper end (Y-axis direction) being circular with the Y-axis direction as the long axis direction. The front portion 21 is arranged at a position about 1 / 4 downward (-Y-axis direction) from the upper end of the rear portion 28 via the connecting portion 26, that is, the base end portion 23 is offset from the center line of the long axis direction of the rear portion 28 in the -X-axis direction by about 1 / 4 of the diameter of the base end portion 23. The rear portion 28 exposes and supports an operation screen (not shown) such as a touch panel or an operation switch (not shown) on the back side relative to the sound conduit 3, that is, the -Z surface. As a result, a large operation screen (not shown) can be provided on the housing 2.

[0067] The microphone 42 is a device that inputs the pulse wave as a sound signal. The microphone 42 receives the vibration of the carotid artery wall synchronized with the heartbeat as the pulse wave transmitted from the auricle 71 through the ring body 24, the front part 21 and the connecting part 26 through a pressure-sensitive element, a piezoelectric element, etc., and after converting it into an electrical signal, it is output to the outside as an electrical signal through the microphone substrate 43. It should be noted that in addition to the microphone 42, a sensor such as an optical heartbeat sensor or a thermometer can also be configured from the connecting part 26 to the front part 21 to measure deep body temperature or oxygen saturation.

[0068] The microphone board 43 is a board provided with a control circuit that converts biological signals obtained by the microphone 42 , the electrode 61 , and various sensors into electrical signals and transmits the electrical signals to the wireless communication board 54 .

[0069] The power supply 51 is a power supply 51 for supplying power to the speaker 41, the microphone 42, the microphone substrate 43, the main substrate 52, and the wireless communication substrate 54. The power supply 51 is arranged between the microphone substrate 43 and the main substrate 52 in the housing 2, and is accommodated in the rear portion 28. It should be noted that the power supply 51 can be accommodated in the front portion 21 or the connecting portion 26, or can be accommodated in a manner spanning the front portion 21, the connecting portion 26, and the rear portion 28. Thus, a large power supply 51 can be provided in the space between the speaker 41 and the main substrate 52, so that the bio-signal sensor such as the speaker 41 and the microphone 42 can be used for a long time.

[0070] The main substrate 52 is a substrate on which a control circuit for controlling the speaker 41 , the microphone 42 , the microphone substrate 43 , the wireless communication substrate 54 , and the power source 51 which are housed in the housing 2 is provided.

[0071] The wireless communication substrate 54 is a substrate provided with a control circuit, which receives an audio signal from an external device (not shown) through wireless communication such as Bluetooth (registered trademark) to drive the speaker 41, and transmits information related to the bio-signal transmitted by the microphone substrate 43 to the external device (not shown) through wireless communication. The wireless communication substrate 54 is arranged on the back side of the speaker 41 and the power supply 51 relative to the sound conduit 3, and is accommodated in the rear part 28. The wireless communication substrate 54 supplies power to the operation screen (not shown) through contactless power supply, and controls the bio-signal sensors such as the speaker 41 and the microphone 42 according to the operation input by the user through the operation screen (not shown). It should be noted that the power supply to the power supply 51 is not limited to contactless power supply, for example, it can also be based on wired power supply via a USB connector (not shown) provided in the rear part 28.

[0072] Next, the earphone 1 according to the second embodiment of the present invention will be described. It should be noted that only the differences between the first embodiment and the second embodiment of the present invention will be described, and the description of the same points as the first embodiment will be omitted.

[0073] Figure 4 FIG. 1 is a diagram showing the internal structure of the earphone 1 according to the second embodiment of the present invention. Figure 1 (A) is a schematic cross-sectional view taken along line AA. The earphone 1 is for the left ear and includes a sound conduit 3, a housing 2, a speaker 41, a microphone 42, an electrode 61, and a wireless communication substrate 54. The earphone 1 for the right ear has a shape symmetrical to the earphone 1 for the left ear in the X-axis direction.

[0074] The housing 2 is a shell that accommodates the speaker 41, microphone 42, microphone substrate 43, power supply 51, main substrate 52, electroencephalogram analysis chip 53, wireless communication substrate 54, and electrode 61, and has a front portion 21, a connecting portion 26, and a rear portion 28. The front portion 21 is connected to the rear portion 28 via the connecting portion 26.

[0075] The front portion 21 is a portion that supports the base end of the sound conduit 3 and accommodates the speaker 41. The front portion 21 has an inclined surface 22 on the outer surface that is inclined relative to the Z-axis direction (or the X-axis direction orthogonal thereto), and has an annular base end portion 23 that is formed in an eccentric frustum shape that expands from the base end of the sound conduit 3 toward the -X side via the inclined surface but slightly expands toward the +X side, and that is developed in the XY plane.

[0076] Figure 5 FIG. 2 is a diagram showing the front portion 21 of the earphone 1 according to the second embodiment, which is detachably fitted to the ring body 24 of the base end portion 23. Figure 1 (C) Schematic cross-sectional view of BB.

[0077] A plurality of electrodes 61 for obtaining a biological signal are arranged around the speaker 41 in the base end portion 23. Fig. 5 shows a state where three electrodes 61 are arranged as an example.

[0078] The first electrode 611 is arranged at the position where the base end portion 23 contacts the tragus 71, and the second electrode 612 as a ground is arranged at the position where the base end portion 23 contacts the skin on the fossa scaphoidis 73 side, so that the pulse wave is obtained as an electrical signal from the tragus 71. In addition, the third electrode 613 for obtaining a biosignal related to brain waves is arranged above the base end portion 23 (in the Y-axis direction). It should be noted that in the case of obtaining only the pulse wave or only the brain wave, a pair of electrodes 61 (the first and second electrodes 611, 612, or the third and second electrodes 613, 612) is sufficient.

[0079] On the other hand, an annular ring body 24 is detachably fitted to the base end portion 23. The ring body 24 is made of a conductive elastic body, and is divided into a plurality of conductive parts 62 by an insulating insulating part 63, and each conductive part 62 transmits a biological signal obtained as an electrical signal to a corresponding electrode 61. When the ring body 24 is conductive, it can contact with a wide range of skin around the ear 7 and more reliably obtain the biological signal as an electrical signal.

[0080] In addition, the ring body 24 may be extended above (in the Y-axis direction) and the front end may be worn on the forehead to obtain brain waves. The extension portion 65 may be formed integrally with the ring body 24, or may be formed separately from the ring body 24 as a single extension portion 65, and the ring body 24 and the extension portion 65 may be connected by a connector (not shown).

[0081] It should be noted that if the electrode 61 can ensure the detection of biological signals, the ring body 24 may not be embedded in the base end portion 23. For example, the electrode 61 may be configured to be in direct contact with the skin.

[0082] The electrode 61 is a conductor such as metal, alloy, graphite, semiconductor, or metal oxide having a plate-like or rod-like shape.

[0083] On the other hand, the rear portion 28 accommodates the microphone substrate 43, the power supply 51, the main substrate 52, the electroencephalogram analysis chip 53, and the wireless communication substrate 54 on the -Z side of the connection portion 26. The electroencephalogram analysis chip 53 is a circuit that analyzes electroencephalograms obtained by the electrodes 61.

[0084] The first electrode 611 obtains the pulse wave transmitted from the tragus 71 by the vibration of the carotid artery wall synchronized with the heartbeat as an electrical signal through the conductive portion 62 of the ring body 24, and outputs it from the wireless communication substrate 54 to an external device via the microphone substrate 43 and the main substrate 52.

[0085] On the other hand, the brain wave, which is an electrical signal from the brain, is obtained as an electrical signal from the peripheral part of the ear 7 by the third electrode 613 through the conductive part 62. Then, the obtained electrical signal is transmitted to the brain wave analysis chip 53 via the main substrate 52, analyzed as a brain wave, and output from the wireless communication substrate 54 to an external device.

[0086] Next, a method of wearing the earphone 1 according to the embodiment of the present invention on the ear 7 will be described. Figure 6 This is a diagram showing a state where the earphone 1 is worn as seen from the outside. Figure 7 1 is a cross-sectional view showing a state where the earphone 1 is worn, including the external auditory canal 74. The front portion 21 is placed in the auditory canal cavity 72 with the X end portion thereof facing the fossa navicularis 73 and the -X end portion of the base portion 23 facing the tragus 71, and the inclined surface 22 is brought into contact with the inner surface of the auditory canal cavity 72, so that the sound conduit 3 is inserted into the external auditory canal 74.

[0087] From the base end of the sound conduit 3 , the −X end of the base end portion 23 is supported by the inner side of the tragus 71 , and the X end of the front portion 21 is supported by the ear canal cavity 72 .

[0088] Since the rear portion 28 is arranged very close to the tragus 71 and extends downward (in the −Y-axis direction), it can accommodate a large main substrate 52 and a wireless communication substrate 54 without being restricted by the size of the tragus 71 and the navicular fossa 73 .

[0089] The rear portion 28 that houses the wireless communication board 54 and the power source 51 is large in mass and faces Figure 6 The lower part is subject to gravity, but the front part 21 is supported by the tragus 71 and the ear canal cavity 72, and even if it is subject to gravity, no moment is generated to cause the earphone 1 to fall off the ear 7.

[0090] As described above, the earphone 1 is stably worn on the ear 7 and can be stably worn even when the wearer is doing strenuous activities, and does not cause discomfort to the wearer even when worn for a long time.

[0091] Next, a method of using the earphone 1 according to the embodiment of the present invention will be described.

[0092] The driver of a truck or bus traveling long distances wears the headset 1 of the present invention, and after starting the headset 1, he starts the driving of the truck, etc. The headset 1 sequentially outputs biological signals such as pulse waves or brain waves obtained from the microphone 42 or the electrode 61 from the wireless communication substrate 54, and these biological signals are sent to the main computer (not shown) via a communication device such as a smart phone (not shown) configured near the headset 1. The main computer (not shown) analyzes and records the received biological signals, and determines the physical condition and mental state of the driver. Then, when fatigue or abnormality of the driver is detected (for example, a situation where the driver is shaken by the perception of danger), the main computer (not shown) sends a signal to the wireless communication substrate 54 via the communication device (not shown), and outputs an audio signal urging the driver to rest or pay attention from the speaker 41 via the main substrate 52.

[0093] Furthermore, the earphone 1 of the present invention is also expected to be used for managing the physical condition of workers who work alone or operate equipment, and workers who work in harsh working environments with high temperatures and severe noises.

[0094] The present invention has been described above using the embodiments, but the technical scope of the present invention is not limited to the scope described in the above embodiments. It is obvious to those skilled in the art that various changes or improvements can be made to the above embodiments. It can be clearly seen from the description of the claims that such changed or improved forms can also be included in the technical scope of the present invention.

[0095] Possibility of industrial application
