Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] This disclosure relates to a display module and a display device including the display module, and more specifically, to a display module having an improved durability structure and a display device including the display module. Background Technology
[0002] The content described in the background section is only for the purpose of providing background information on this disclosure and does not constitute prior art.
[0003] As we enter the mature information age, display devices that visually represent electrical information signals are developing rapidly. Research is underway on various display devices with excellent performance, thinness, light weight, and low power consumption.
[0004] Display devices include liquid crystal displays (LCDs), quantum dot (QD) displays, field emission displays (FEDs), electrowetting displays (EWDs), and organic light-emitting diode (OLEDs).
[0005] The display device has been miniaturized, making it portable for users. It has been developed for installation on mobile devices, such as vehicles. Therefore, users can more conveniently use the display device in their vehicles. Summary of the Invention
[0006] To improve user convenience, display devices with roll-up structures are being actively developed. Such roll-up display devices and their included display modules can be roll-up displays with flexible, curved structures.
[0007] In one instance, a display can be formed as a multi-layered structure with components having different functions stacked on top of each other. By using a rolled display, bending may occur continuously and repeatedly. Due to such bending, the adhesion between the layers of a display with a stacked structure deteriorates, which may lead to peeling off of the layers.
[0008] Specifically, the encapsulation glass in the display has a predetermined thickness and relatively high elasticity. Therefore, when bent, the adhesion between the encapsulation glass and other layers may become more susceptible to deterioration due to the repulsion caused by this elasticity, making it easy for the encapsulation glass to peel off.
[0009] Specifically, peeling is more likely to occur at the lower end of the joint between the layers of the display. Due to continuous use of the display device, peeling that occurs at the lower end of the display may gradually spread to the center of the display.
[0010] Such peeling can cause the monitor to malfunction or become unusable. A solution to this problem is needed.
[0011] Furthermore, a baffle that supports the display and guides its operation within the display device can be attached to the display. Due to the continuous and repeated bending of the display, the adhesive force between the display and the baffle at its lower end may weaken, potentially causing the display to separate from the baffle. Therefore, malfunction or abnormal operation of the display may occur. A solution to this problem is needed.
[0012] Therefore, the object of this disclosure is to provide a display module having a structure capable of suppressing peeling phenomena in a display containing flexible materials and having a bendable structure.
[0013] Furthermore, the purpose of this disclosure is to provide a display module having a structure that suppresses peeling at the lower end of the display and a display device including the display module.
[0014] Furthermore, the purpose of this disclosure is to provide a display module having a structure that can suppress separation caused by deterioration of the adhesion between the display and the baffle at the lower end of the display, and a display device including the display module.
[0015] Furthermore, the purpose of this disclosure is to provide a display module having a structure capable of stably mounting a printed circuit board with a driving circuit, and a display device including the display module.
[0016] The purpose of this disclosure is not limited to the objectives described above. Other objectives and advantages not mentioned in this disclosure may be understood based on the following description and may become clearer based on embodiments of this disclosure. Furthermore, it will be readily understood that the objectives and advantages of this disclosure can be achieved using the methods and combinations thereof shown in the claims.
[0017] The display module according to an embodiment may include a display and a baffle. The display and the baffle may be configured to engage with each other, and the display may be made of a flexible material such that at least a portion of it is deformable.
[0018] The baffle may have a deformable structure in at least a portion thereof, such that at least that portion may move integrally with the display.
[0019] The display can be formed in the shape of a plate and can include encapsulating glass and a panel attached to a surface of the encapsulating glass to reproduce images or videos.
[0020] A printed circuit board may include a first board and a second board. However, a printed circuit board may include at least three boards. The first board may be electrically connected to a display. The first board may have various active components, passive components, and printed circuitry constituting a drive circuit.
[0021] The second board can be electrically connected to the first board and positioned at a distance from the first board. For example, the second board can be connected to an external power source to supply power to the first board and the display.
[0022] The second connector can electrically connect the first and second boards to each other and can be configured to be flexible. The first and second connectors can each include multiple first connectors and multiple second connectors.
[0023] The display module according to an embodiment may further include a bracket. The bracket can be engaged with the lower end of the display, and a printed circuit board can be mounted on the bracket.
[0024] The stand can be attached to the monitor and pressed down on the monitor to maintain a tight contact between the monitor and the bezel, thereby effectively preventing separation between the bezel and the monitor.
[0025] The bracket can be engaged with the lower surface of the display, and the printed circuit board can be disposed on the lower surface of the display in a curved manner relative to the display. The bracket allows the first and second boards to maintain a distance between them in a first direction.
[0026] The bracket may include a base and a press-fit joint. The base may be disposed on the lower surface of the display and the baffle and may be oriented in a direction intersecting a first direction of the display and the baffle, and a printed circuit board may be mounted on the base.
[0027] The pressing joint can be bent from the front surface of the base in a manner parallel to the first direction of the display, and can engage with the baffle and contact the display to press the display.
[0028] The baffle may include a plurality of first protrusions projecting from the lower end of the display. The first protrusions may include a plurality of first protrusions, and the first protrusions may be configured to be spaced apart from each other along the length of the pressing engagement of the bracket.
[0029] The press-fit joint can engage with the first protrusion to press the display. The press-fit joint and the first protrusion can be engaged with each other by a fastening mechanism such as a bolt.
[0030] A first fastening hole may be formed in the first protrusion, and the engagement mechanism is fastened to the first fastening hole. A second fastening hole may be formed in the pressing engagement portion at a position corresponding to the first fastening hole, and the engagement mechanism is fastened to the second fastening hole.
[0031] The base may include a mounting plate and a second protrusion. The mounting plate may be bent from the press-fit joint and a first plate may be placed on the upper surface of the mounting plate. The second protrusion may project under the mounting plate and may separate the first plate and the second plate from each other in a first direction.
[0032] The first plate can be placed on the upper surface of the mounting plate, and the second plate can be placed on the lower surface of the first protrusion. The first and second plates can then be joined to the bracket by, for example, a bolted engagement mechanism, and can be configured to be spaced apart from each other in a first direction of the display module.
[0033] According to one embodiment, the second protrusion can be formed by recessing the upper surface of the mounting plate and protruding the lower surface of the mounting plate. According to another embodiment, the second protrusion can be formed by forming a protrusion on the lower surface of the mounting plate.
[0034] A groove can be formed in the baffle, such that its length direction is in the horizontal direction of the display. According to one embodiment, the wall of the groove can be straight. According to another embodiment, the wall of the groove can be curved.
[0035] One embodiment of the display device may include: a display configured such that at least a portion thereof is deformable; a baffle configured such that at least a portion thereof is deformable, wherein the baffle is engaged to the display; a printed circuit board electrically connected to the display; and a bracket on which the printed circuit board is mounted, wherein the bracket is engaged to the baffle to press the display disposed between the baffle and the bracket.
[0036] The display device according to an embodiment may include a display module, a housing, a rolling guide, and a motor. The display module is the same as described above. At least a portion of the display module can be housed within the housing.
[0037] The rolling guide can be housed within the housing and can rotate relative to the housing. The rolling guide can be configured such that the display module is mounted thereon and at least that portion of each of the display and the baffle is wound around it.
[0038] One end of the guide can be mounted on the baffle, and the other end is mounted on the housing. By moving each of the display and the baffle in the first direction, the guide can change the external exposed area of each of the display and the baffle.
[0039] The rolling guide may include a bend, a bridging portion, and a rib. The display and baffle may be rolled around the outer peripheral surface of the bend. The bend may, for example, be formed in an arc shape.
[0040] The bridging portion can connect the two ends of the bend to each other. The bend and the bridging portion can be formed integrally, but this disclosure is not limited to this.
[0041] The ribs can be joined to the bridging section, printed circuit boards and brackets can be mounted on the ribs, and the ribs can be joined to the lower part of the baffle. The ribs can be approximately plate-shaped.
[0042] In the display module and display device including the display module according to the present disclosure, the bracket can be engaged with the display and press the display to maintain close contact between the display and the baffle, thereby effectively preventing separation between the baffle and the display.
[0043] In addition, the stand can be attached to the baffle and can be configured to surround the lower end of the display, so that the lower end of the display can be pressed from the front via the stand and from the back via the baffle.
[0044] By pressing down on the bottom of the monitor using a stand and a baffle, the layers that make up the monitor can maintain tight contact even when the monitor is repeatedly bent. Therefore, peeling at the bottom of the monitor can be effectively prevented.
[0045] Furthermore, in the display module and display device including the display module according to this disclosure, the bracket can fix a space for preventing the first and second boards from contacting or interfering with each other and for mounting components disposed on the respective boards. Therefore, the bracket can stably mount the printed circuit board including the drive circuitry to the display module.
[0046] The effects of this disclosure are not limited to those described above, and other effects not mentioned will be clearly understood by those skilled in the art through the following description.
[0047] The objectives, solutions, and effects of this disclosure as described above do not specify the essential features of the claims. Therefore, the scope of the claims is not limited by the objectives, solutions, and effects of this disclosure as described above. Attached Figure Description

[0077] The display device including the display module 10 according to the embodiment can be installed on a mobile device, such as a vehicle, to provide convenience to the user. Hereinafter, a display device installed on a vehicle's dashboard will be described by way of example.
[0078] The display device according to the embodiments may include, for example, a liquid crystal display (LCD), a quantum dot (QD) display device, a field emission display (FED), an electrowetting display (EWD), and an organic light-emitting diode (OLED). However, this disclosure is not limited thereto.
[0079] Figure 1 This is a side view showing a display module 10 according to one embodiment. The display module 10 according to the embodiment may include a display 100 and a baffle 200. The display 100 and the baffle 200 are configured to engage with each other. The display 100 may be made of a flexible material so that at least a portion is bendable.
[0080] The baffle 200 may have a deformable structure in at least a portion, allowing at least a portion to move integrally with the display 100. Each of the display 100 and the baffle 200 may be configured such that at least a portion thereof slides in a first direction. That is, each of the display 100 and the baffle 200 may be configured such that at least a portion thereof rises and falls relative to the display device.
[0081] The display device may include a housing 20, in which at least a portion of a display 100 and at least a portion of a baffle 200 are accommodated. When the display 100 and the baffle 200 are moved downward, at least a portion of each of the display 100 and the baffle 200 can be bent and deformed into a curved shape when viewed from the side, so that they can be accommodated in the housing 20.
[0082] At this point, each of the display 100 and the baffle 200 can be configured such that at least a portion of it is wound around the rolling guide 30 disposed in the display device. Therefore, the display 100 and the baffle 200 can be continuously and repeatedly deformable.
[0083] In one example, a protective film 101 for protecting the display 100 may be attached to the front surface of the display 100. For example, the protective film 101 may be formed as a scattering preventing film, which prevents the display 100 from cracking into pieces and from scattering due to external impact, thereby protecting the user.
[0084] The display 100 can be formed in the shape of a plate and can include encapsulating glass and a panel attached to a surface of the encapsulating glass for reproducing images or videos.
[0085] Furthermore, the display 100 can be formed as a structure consisting of a polarizer, a backplate for irradiating light onto the panel, and various adhesives stacked together to bond the aforementioned components together.
[0086] Because the display 100 of the embodiment has a structure that wraps around the rolling guide 30 (i.e., the rolling structure), it can be bent continuously and repeatedly. Due to such bending, the adhesion between the layers of the display 100 with the stacked structure deteriorates, which may result in peeling of the layers.
[0087] Specifically, because the encapsulating glass has a predetermined thickness and relatively large elasticity, when the encapsulating glass is bent, the adhesion between the encapsulating glass and other layers is more likely to deteriorate due to the repulsion caused by this elasticity, thus the encapsulating glass may be easily peeled off.
[0088] Such a peeling phenomenon may cause the display 100 to malfunction or fail. In addition, due to this peeling phenomenon, the display 100 may be difficult to accommodate in the housing 20 while sliding.
[0089] Furthermore, when peeling occurs, friction occurs due to interference between the housing 20 and the display 100, which further shortens the lifespan of the display module 100 and the display device including the display module.
[0090] Specifically, the likelihood of peeling occurring at the lower end of the display 100, where the bonding between the layers forming the display 100 terminates, is relatively high. Since bending does not occur at the upper end of the display 100 in the display module 10 according to the embodiment, the likelihood of peeling is relatively lower at the lower end of the display 100.
[0091] Due to continuous use of the display device, the peeling that occurs at the lower end of the display 100 may gradually extend to the center of the display 100.
[0092] Therefore, the embodiments provide a display module 10 having a structure that suppresses peeling at the lower end of the display 100 and a display device including the display module 10.
[0093] Figure 2 This is an unfolded view showing the bonding structure of the display 100 and the printed circuit board 300 in a display module 10 according to one embodiment. Figure 2 The structure shown is an unfolded view, and the plate and the connector for connecting the plate can be mounted on the bracket 400 in a partially folded state, which will be described below.
[0094] The display module 10 may further include a printed circuit board 300 having drive circuitry for controlling the operation of the display 100. The printed circuit board 300 may be electrically connected to the display 100 and may include multiple boards and connectors for connecting the multiple boards to each other. In this case, the drive circuitry may be distributed across all or some of the boards and connectors.
[0095] Printed circuit board 300 may include a first board 310 and a second board 320. However, printed circuit board 300 may include at least three boards.
[0096] The first board 310 can be electrically connected to the display 100. The first board 310 can have various active components, passive components, and printed circuits that constitute the driving circuit.
[0097] The first board 310 may have relatively small components primarily used for transmitting and receiving signals related to images or videos reproduced on the display 100. Therefore, the first board 310 may have components that are relatively smaller in size compared to the second board 320.
[0098] The second board 320 can be electrically connected to the first board 310 and is disposed at a position spaced apart from the first board 310. Similar to the first board 310, the second board 320 can have various active components, passive components, and printed circuits constituting the drive circuit.
[0099] For example, the second board 320 can be connected to an external power source to supply power to the first board 310 and the display 100. For this purpose, the circuit elements 321 disposed on the second board 320 can have a relatively large volume to perform voltage conversion, rectification, etc., on the power supplied from the external power source.
[0100] Therefore, the display module 10 needs to maintain a predetermined separation distance between the first board 310 and the second board 320, so that the circuit elements 321 disposed on the second board 320 are stably disposed without contacting the first board 310. In the display module 10, the separation distance between the first board 310 and the second board 320 can be maintained by the bracket 400 described below.
[0101] The printed circuit board 300 may further include a first connector 510 and a second connector 520. The first connector 510 can electrically connect the display 100 to the first board 310 and can be configured to be flexible.
[0102] The second connector 520 can electrically connect the first plate 310 and the second plate 320 to each other and can be configured to be flexible. The first connector 510 and the second connector 520 may each include a plurality of first connectors and a plurality of second connectors.
[0103] A portion of the drive circuit may be disposed on each of the first connector 510 and the second connector 520, and each of the first connector 510 and the second connector 520 may be made of a flexible material that is easy to bend, thereby being easily folded and unfolded. When mounted on the bracket 400, the first connector 510 and the second connector 520 may maintain a bent form.
[0104] Figure 3 This is a front view showing a display module 10 according to one embodiment. Figure 4 It is an omission Figure 3 View of bracket 400 and second plate 320. Figure 5 This is a rear view showing a display module 10 according to one embodiment.
[0105] The display module 10 according to the embodiment may further include a bracket 400. The bracket 400 may be engaged with the lower end of the display 100 and the printed circuit board 300 may be mounted on the bracket 400.
[0106] The printed circuit board 300 can be mounted on the bracket 400 and the bracket 400 can be engaged with the baffle 200 to press the display 100.
[0107] As described above, in the display 100, peeling between layers may occur due to repeated and continuous bending.
[0108] Furthermore, since the display 100 and the baffle 200 are also attached to each other, they may separate due to repeated and continuous bending. Similar to the peeling off of the display 100 itself, separation between the display 100 and the baffle 200 is very likely to occur at the lower end of the display 100. Such separation may lead to damage or malfunction of the display module 100 and the display device including the display module.
[0109] The bracket 400 can be attached to the display 100 and press the display 100 to maintain a tight contact between the display 100 and the baffle 200, thereby effectively preventing separation between the baffle 200 and the display 100.
[0110] Furthermore, the bracket 400 can be engaged with the baffle 200 and configured to surround the lower end of the display 100, so that the lower end of the display 100 can be pressed from the front via the bracket 400 and from the back via the baffle 200.
[0111] The lower end of the display 100 can be pressed down by the bracket 400 and the baffle 200, so that even if the display 100 is repeatedly bent, the layers constituting the display 100 can maintain close contact. Therefore, peeling at the lower end of the display 100 can be effectively suppressed.
[0112] The bracket 400 will be described in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. Figure 6 This is a perspective view showing a bracket 400 according to one embodiment. Figure 7 yes Figure 6 Side view. Figure 8 yes Figure 6 The main view.
[0113] according to Figure 6 The bracket 400 of the illustrated embodiment can be made of metal and can be manufactured by rolling thin sheets. However, this disclosure is not limited thereto.
[0114] The bracket 400 can be engaged with the lower surface of the display 100, and the printed circuit board 300 can be disposed on the lower surface of the display 100 in a bent manner relative to the display 100. The bracket 400 can keep the first board 310 and the second board 320 apart from each other in a first direction.
[0115] Due to this structure, the bracket 400 ensures space to prevent the first board 310 and the second board 320 from contacting or interfering with each other, and provides space for mounting components on each board. Therefore, the bracket 400 can stably mount the printed circuit board 300, including the drive circuitry, onto the display module 10.
[0116] The bracket 400 may include a base 410 and a press-fit joint 420. The base 410 may be disposed on the lower surface of the display 100 and the baffle 200, and the orientation is the direction in which the first orientation of the display 100 and the baffle 200 intersects, and the printed circuit board 300 may be mounted on the base 410.
[0117] The pressing engagement 420 can be bent from the front surface of the base 410 in a manner parallel to a first direction of the display 100, and can engage with the baffle 200 and contact the display 100 to press the display 100.
[0118] The pressing engagement portion 420 can be configured to contact the front surface of the display 100 at the lower part of the display 100, and can press the lower part of the display 100. Furthermore, the pressing engagement portion 420 can be configured such that its length direction is parallel to a second direction of the display 100 to press the entire lower part of the front surface of the display 100.
[0119] The baffle 200 may include a first protrusion 210 protruding from the lower end of the display 100. The first protrusion 210 may include a plurality of first protrusions, and the first protrusions 210 may be configured to be spaced apart from each other along the length direction of the press engagement 420 of the bracket 400.
[0120] The press-fit part 420 can engage with the first protrusion 210 to press the display 100. The press-fit part 420 and the first protrusion 210 can be engaged with each other by, for example, a bolt fastening mechanism.
[0121] A first fastening hole 211 may be defined in the first protrusion 210, and the engagement mechanism is fastened in the first fastening hole 211. A second fastening hole 421 may be defined at a position corresponding to the first fastening hole 211 on the pressing engagement portion 420, and the engagement mechanism is fastened to the second fastening hole 421.
[0122] Since the first protrusion 210 protrudes downwards from the lower end of the display 100 without causing any damage to the display 100, the engagement mechanism is fastened to the first fastening hole 211 and the second fastening hole 421, thereby allowing the bracket 400 to engage with the baffle 200. Due to this structure, the lower part of the baffle 200 and the pressing engagement portion 420 of the bracket 400 can press against the lower parts of the front and rear surfaces of the display 100.
[0123] Due to this structure, it is possible to effectively suppress the peeling of the display 100 at the lower end of the display 100 and the separation between the display 100 and the baffle 200.
[0124] The base 410 may include a mounting plate 411 and a second protrusion 412. The mounting plate 411 may be bent from the pressing joint 420 and the first plate 310 may be placed on the upper surface of the mounting plate 411. The second protrusion 412 may protrude under the mounting plate 411 and may separate the first plate 310 and the second plate 320 from each other in a first direction.
[0125] The first plate 310 and the second plate 320 can be spaced apart from each other in a first direction of the display module 10 by the second protrusion 412. In the separation space defined by the second protrusion 412, elements with a predetermined volume disposed on the first plate 310 or the second plate 320 can be configured to not contact each other.
[0126] The first plate 310 can be placed on the upper surface of the mounting plate 411, and the second plate 320 can be placed on the lower surface of the first protrusion 210. At this time, the first plate 310 and the second plate 320 can be engaged with the bracket 400 by, for example, a bolt engagement mechanism, and can be configured to be spaced apart from each other in a first direction of the display module 10.
[0127] The number of second protrusions 412 can be equal to or greater than 2. The number of second protrusions 412 and the position of each second protrusion 412 can be appropriately designed within the range that can stably maintain the spacing arrangement of the first plate 310 and the second plate 320.
[0128] According to Figures 6 to 8 In the bracket 400 of the illustrated embodiment, the second protrusion 412 can be formed by recessing the upper surface of the mounting plate 411 and protruding the lower surface of the mounting plate 411. That is, the second protrusion 412 can be formed by deforming the mounting plate 411.
[0129] For example, the bracket 400 may be made of metal, and the second protrusion 412 may be formed by deforming the mounting plate 411 through a rolling process. However, this disclosure is not limited thereto.
[0130] Figure 9 This is a perspective view showing a bracket 400 according to another embodiment. Figure 10 yes Figure 9 Side view. Figure 11 yes Figure 9 The main view. Figure 12 yes Figure 9 A bottom view. According to... Figure 9 The bracket 400 of the illustrated embodiment can be made of plastic material and can be manufactured by injection molding. However, this disclosure is not limited thereto.
[0131] According to Figures 9 to 12In the bracket 400 of the illustrated embodiment, the second protrusion 412 can be formed by forming a protrusion on the lower surface of the mounting plate 411.
[0132] For example, the support 400 can be made of plastic material and the second protrusion 412 can be formed by injection molding. Since the structures other than those described above are the same as the structure of the support 400 described above, repeated descriptions are omitted.
[0133] Figure 13 This is a schematic side sectional view illustrating a baffle 200 according to one embodiment. The baffle 200 may define a recess 220 whose length direction is a second direction of the display 100. The recess 200 may include a plurality of recesses, and the recesses 220 may be defined at regular intervals in a first direction of the display module 10.
[0134] The baffle 200 can be made of a flexible, bendable material. However, the baffle 200 can be formed to be relatively thicker than the display 100 to stably support and protect the display 100. Therefore, the baffle 200 can be smoothly bent due to the multiple grooves 220 defined in it.
[0135] According to Figure 13 In the baffle 200 of the illustrated embodiment, the wall surface of the groove 220 can be straight. When the baffle 200 has a straight groove 220, the space defined by the groove 220 is larger compared to the curved groove 220 described below. Therefore, the baffle 200 with a straight groove 220 has the advantage of making the curves smooth.
[0136] Figure 14 This is a schematic side sectional view used to illustrate a baffle 200 according to another embodiment.
[0137] According to Figure 14 In the baffle 200 of the illustrated embodiment, the cross-section of the wall of the groove 220 can be formed as a curved shape that bulges in the direction toward the center of the groove 220. The wall of the groove 220 can be formed as a gentle curve.
[0138] When the baffle 200 has a curved groove 220, the space defined by the groove 220 is smaller than the space defined by the straight groove 220. Due to this structure, the baffle 200 with the curved groove 220 can easily return to a straight state from a curved state.
[0139] Therefore, the baffle 200 with the curved groove 220 can allow the display 100 to smoothly deform from a curved state to a flat, folded state in the section of the display 100 exposed to the outside.
[0140] Since the straight groove 220 and the curved groove 220 have the above-mentioned features, the shape of the groove 220 of the baffle 200 can be appropriately selected taking into account the operating characteristics required by the display module 10.
[0141] Figure 15 This is a perspective view showing a display device according to one embodiment. Figure 16 yes Figure 15 Side sectional view. Figure 17 It is shown that a portion of each of the display 100 and the baffle 200 is housed in Figure 16 A view of the state of the housing 20.
[0142] The display device according to the embodiment may include: a display module 10, a housing 20, a rolling guide 30, a guide 40, and a motor 50. The display module 10 is similar to that described above.
[0143] The housing 20 can accommodate at least a portion of the display module 10. For example, the housing 20 can be embedded in the dashboard of a vehicle. In this case, each of the display 100 and the baffle 200 can be configured such that at least a portion of it is exposed to the outside of the dashboard. In one example, the area of each of the display 100 and the baffle 200 housed in the housing 20 can vary.
[0144] Reference Figure 15 and Figure 16 When the display 100 and the baffle 200 are raised, the bent portion housed in the housing 20 can be unfolded again to expose the outside of the housing 20, and the user can view the images or videos reproduced on the unfolded portion of the display 100.
[0145] Reference Figure 17 When the display 100 and the baffle 200 are lowered, when viewed from the side, at least a portion of each of the display 100 and the baffle 200 can be bent and deformed into a curved shape and accommodated in the housing 20.
[0146] The rolling guide 30 can be housed in the housing 20 and can rotate relative to the housing 20. The rolling guide 30 can be configured such that the display module 10 is mounted thereon and at least that portion of each of the display 100 and the baffle 200 is wound around it.
[0147] One end of the guide 40 can be mounted on the baffle 200, and the other end can be mounted on the housing 20. By moving each of the display 100 and the baffle 200 in the first direction, the guide 40 can change the external exposed area of each of the display 100 and the baffle 200.
[0148] The guide 40 may include a first bracket 41, a second bracket 42, a third bracket 43, a movable part 44, and a reinforcing plate 45. The first bracket 41 may engage with the baffle 200 and move together with the baffle 200. The first bracket 41 may be strip-shaped, configured such that its length direction is parallel to a second direction of the baffle 200, and may engage with the upper part of the rear surface of the baffle 200.
[0149] The first bracket 41 can be configured to rise and fall within the display device. As the first bracket 41 rises and falls, the baffle 200 and the display 100 that are engaged with it also rise and fall, thereby changing their external exposed area.
[0150] The second bracket 42 can be engaged with the upper surface of the housing 20. The second bracket 42 can be strip-shaped, configured such that its length direction is parallel to the second direction of the baffle 200, and can be engaged with the upper surface of the housing 20. The housing 20 can support the second bracket 42.
[0151] The third bracket 43 may be formed to protrude upward from the second bracket 42. The third bracket 43 may include a pair of third brackets, and the third brackets 43 may be arranged to be spaced apart from each other at a predetermined distance in a second direction of the baffle 200. A hollow portion for mounting the movable part 44 may be defined in the third bracket 43.
[0152] A reinforcing plate 45 can be disposed between the pair of third supports 43 spaced apart from each other, and can engage with the pair of third supports 43 to maintain the designed spacing between the pair of third supports 43. The reinforcing plate 45 can be formed in the shape of a plate and can be integrally manufactured with the pair of third supports 43. However, the reinforcing plate 45 is not an essential component of the display device.
[0153] In one example, the second bracket 42, the third bracket 43, and the reinforcing plate 45 can be manufactured as a single piece; however, this disclosure is not limited to this.
[0154] One end of the movable part 44 can engage with the first bracket 41 and can be inserted into the third bracket 43, so as to be movable relative to the third bracket 43 in a first direction. The movable part 44 can be inserted into the hollow part of the third bracket 43, so as to rise and fall relative to the third bracket 43.
[0155] Therefore, as the moving part 44 rises and falls, the first bracket 41, the baffle 200 engaged therewith, and the display 100 engaged with the baffle 200 can rise and fall, thus changing the external exposed area of the baffle 200 and the display 100.
[0156] The movable part 44 can support the display 100 and the baffle 200, so that the exposed parts of the display 100 and the baffle 200 remain flat while rising and falling.
[0157] The motor 50 can be configured to lift the display 100 and the baffle 200. Furthermore, the moving part 44 can be raised and lowered by operating the motor 50. The motor 50 can engage with the housing 20, and its shaft can engage with the rolling guide 30.
[0158] When the motor 50 rotates, the rolling guide 30 can rotate, so the display 100 and the baffle 200 can be rolled around or unfolded from the rolling guide 30.
[0159] Reference Figure 16 When the motor 50 rotates in the direction in which the display 100 and the baffle 200 unfold from the rolling guide 30, the upper ends of the display 100 and the baffle 200 can rise to increase their external exposed area. At this time, the moving part 44 engaged with the baffle 200 can rise.
[0160] Reference Figure 17 When the motor 50 rotates in opposite directions as the display 100 and the baffle 200 wind around the rolling guide 30, the upper ends of the display 100 and the baffle 200 can be lowered to reduce their external exposed area. At this time, the moving part 44 engaged with the baffle 200 can also be lowered.
[0161] The rolling guide 30 will be described in more detail below. The rolling guide 30 may include a bend 31, a bridging portion 32, and a rib 33. The display 100 and the baffle 200 may be wound around the outer peripheral surface of the bend 31. The bend 31 may be formed in an arc shape, for example.
[0162] The curved portion 31 may include a pair of curved portions, and the pair of curved portions may be spaced apart from each other along a second direction of the display 100. In this case, the rib 33 may be disposed between the pair of curved portions 31.
[0163] The area around the bend 31 in each of the display 100 and baffle 200 can be variable, as operated by motor 50 and rotated by rolling guide 30. Figure 16 As shown, when the upper ends of the display 100 and the baffle 200 reach the highest designed vertical height and the display 100 is fully unfolded, the portion of the display 100 and the baffle 200 that is rolled around the bend 31 may be absent or may be very small.
[0164] Conversely, such as Figure 17 As shown, when the rolling guide 30 rotates and the upper ends of the display 100 and the baffle 200 reach the designed minimum vertical height, the area around the bend 31 of the display 100 and the baffle 200 can be the largest.
[0165] The bridging portion 32 can connect the two ends of the bent portion 31 to each other. Similar to the bent portion 31, the bridging portion 32 can include a pair of bridging portions. The bent portion 31 and the bridging portion 32 can be integrally formed, but this disclosure is not limited thereto. The bridging portion 32 can be approximately plate-shaped, and the two ends of the rib 33 can be respectively engaged to the pair of bridging portions 32.
[0166] Rib 33 can be engaged with bridge portion 32, printed circuit board 300 and bracket 400 can be mounted on rib 33, and rib 33 can be engaged with the lower part of baffle 200. Rib 33 can be approximately plate-shaped.
[0167] The mounting plate 411 of the bracket 400 can be engaged with a surface of the rib 33 via a coupling mechanism (e.g., bolts). According to the embodiment, the first plate 310, the second plate 320, and the mounting plate 411 of the bracket 400 (on which the plate is mounted) can be configured such that their length direction is parallel to a second direction of the display 100.
[0168] Therefore, the rib 33 can be formed such that its length direction is parallel to the second direction of the display 100 to correspond to the shape of the mounting plate 411 of the bracket 400. Due to this structure, the rolling guide 30 can provide sufficient space for the first plate 310 and the second plate 320 to be mounted.
[0169] The bracket 400, on which the first plate 310 and the second plate 320 are mounted, can be engaged with the rib 33. By engaging the first plate 310 and the second plate 320 with the bracket 400 and mounting them on the rib 33, the first plate 310 and the second plate 320 can rotate together with the rotation of the rolling guide 30.
