Hot water circulation preheating return water device fault detection method, device and system

Abstract

This application relates to a method, apparatus, and system for detecting faults in a water return device. The method includes: acquiring a first set temperature, a second set temperature, a preset temperature difference, the initial temperature of each water return device, and a first measured temperature of a target water return device; outputting a first control command based on a comparison of the first measured temperature and the second set temperature; when the water heater is performing cyclic preheating, acquiring the current inlet water temperature of the water heater and the second measured temperature of non-target water return devices; if the current inlet water temperature reaches the first set temperature and the first measured temperature is less than the second set temperature, and the initial temperature of a non-target water return device is less than the first set temperature, then a water return device with an open-circuit fault can be identified based on the comparison of the second measured temperature and the first set temperature. This method eliminates the need for additional hardware installation, using the execution of cyclic preheating and temperature detection to determine the normality of the water return device, helping users to understand the fault status of the water return device.
