Fertilizers used in the experiment: Mengding base fertilizer (Beijing Fengmin Tonghe International Agricultural Science and Technology Development Co., Ltd.); amino acid water-soluble fertilizer (Beijing Fengmin Tonghe International Agricultural Science and Technology Development Co., Ltd. Chifeng Mengdi Fertilizer Branch).

[0034] The College of Chemistry and Materials Science of Shandong Agricultural University assisted in providing the formulas of biodegradable mulch films 1 and 2, which were produced by Shandong Qingtian Plastic Industry Co., Ltd. The formulas are as follows:

[0035] The formula of biodegradable mulch film 1 (MZS) is: PBAT 90wt%, PLA 5wt%, lignin 5wt%, and thickness 10μm.

[0036] The formula of biodegradable mulch film 2 (FZS) is: PBAT 90wt%, PLA 5wt%, humic acid 5wt%, and thickness 10μm.

[0037] Ordinary polyethylene mulch (PE) was purchased from Shandong Qingtian Plastic Industry Co., Ltd. with a thickness of 10 μm.

[0038] 1.3 Measurement indicators and methods

[0039] 1.3.1 Degradation of mulch film

[0040] After covering, the degradation of the mulch was observed every 15 days, and the damage of each treatment mulch was recorded (whether cracks or fissures appeared, and the degree of fragmentation). The mulch degradation classification index is as follows: Level 0: no cracks; Level 1: cracks began to appear; Level 2: 25% of the mulch in the field had fine cracks; Level 3: 2-2.5 cm cracks appeared on the mulch; Level 4: uniform network cracks appeared on the mulch, and no large pieces of mulch existed; Level 5: the mulch was degraded into fragments of less than 4 cm × 4 cm.

[0041] 1.3.2 Determination of tensile properties of ground film

[0042] The film mechanical properties were tested using a microcomputer-controlled electronic universal testing machine (Shenzhen Sansi Zongheng Technology Co., Ltd.), with the extrusion traction direction as the longitudinal direction and the film blowing expansion direction as the transverse direction. According to GB / T 1040.3-2006, a strip sample with a width of 15 mm and a length of 150 mm should be selected, and two parallel lines with a spacing of 100 mm should be marked in the middle of the sample. The test speed was 500 mm / min until the sample broke. The results were averaged from 5 parallel tests, and the tensile strength and nominal strain at break of the film were recorded.

[0043] 1.3.3 Determination of light transmittance / haze of ground film

[0044] According to the national standards GB2410-2008 and ASTM D1003-61 (2007), the optical properties of the mulch samples were measured using a WGT-2S transmittance / haze meter with a C light source (6774K). The used mulch was cleaned with an ultrasonic cleaner (Ningbo Xinzhi Biotechnology Co., Ltd.), then rinsed repeatedly with deionized water and placed in a cool and ventilated place to dry. The dried mulch was then cut into small pieces of 40mm×40mm, tested 3 times, and the results were averaged.

[0045] 1.3.4 Test of moisture retention performance of ground film

[0046] According to the provisions of GB 1037-88, the water vapor transmission rate test method was used for testing. The equipment was PERMEW3 / 060 water vapor transmission rate tester with a test accuracy of 0.01g / (m 2 ·24h), each sample film was cut into 3.3×10 -3 m 2The test temperature is set at 38℃ and the humidity is set at 90%RH. Each sample is repeated at least 3 times, and the stable value is taken as the moisture permeability of the mulch. The test principle is: a specific humidity difference is formed on both sides of the sample at a certain temperature, and water vapor passes through the sample into the dry side. By measuring the change in weight loss of the moisture permeable cup over time, the water vapor permeability and other parameters of the sample can be obtained.

[0047] 1.3.5 Soil temperature and humidity measurement

[0048] From September 5, 2021 to January 13, 2022, the temperature and humidity of the soil layer 10 cm deep were measured using a YST-HSC1 instrument (Beijing Hard Stone Technology Co., Ltd.) at 8:00, 12:00, and 16:00 every day. The average values of the three time points were calculated as the daily soil temperature and humidity, and the effects of different treatments on soil temperature and humidity were compared.

[0049] 1.3.6 Determination of basic physical and chemical properties of soil

[0050] The "S"-shaped sampling method was used to collect samples from the 0-20 cm deep tillage layer soil. Three replicates were set for each treatment, and 5 points were taken from each replicate for full mixing. Soil physical and chemical properties were determined: ① Conductivity: Conductivity method SSC-8.3.2 (SSC is the abbreviation for "Soil Agricultural Chemical Analysis Method"); ② pH: Determination of forest soil pH value LY / T 1239-1999, in which soil conductivity and pH were determined using HQ440D multi-parameter water quality analyzer (HACH, USA); ③ Organic matter: Soil testing Part 6, Determination of soil organic matter NY / T 1121.6-2006, under heating conditions, the soil organic carbon was oxidized with an excess of potassium dichromate-sulfuric acid solution, and the excess potassium dichromate was titrated with a standard ferrous sulfate solution. The amount of organic carbon was calculated from the amount of potassium dichromate consumed according to the oxidation correction coefficient, and then multiplied by the constant 1.724, which is the soil organic matter content.

[0051] 1.3.7 Determination of bulk density and porosity

[0052] Take a 100mL ring knife, weigh it (W1), collect soil samples with the ring knife, repeat each treatment 3 times, number and seal them and bring them back to the laboratory for measurement. Weigh the total weight of fresh soil and ring knife (W2), use a Japanese (HWS0-DIK1150) three-phase instrument to measure the volume of fresh soil (V1), then place one end of the ring knife with mesh screen filled with soil in a tray filled with clean water and let it stand for 24 hours before weighing again (W3), and measuring the volume (V2), then place the ring knife with soil in an oven at 80°C to dry to constant weight, weigh again (W4), and measure the volume of the dried soil (V3).

[0053] Bulk density = (W4-W1) / 100……(1)

[0054] Total porosity = (100-V3) / 100×100% (2)

[0055] Water holding space = (V2-V3) / 100×100%……(3)

[0056] 1.3.8 Soil microbial sequencing

[0057] The "S"-shaped sampling method was used to collect samples from the 0-20 cm deep tillage layer soil. Three replicates were set for each treatment, and the samples were numbered, packaged, and brought back to the laboratory for storage at -80°C. The PacBio Binding kit (Pacbio, USA) was used to bind the library before the machine, so that the library was bound to Primer (Pacbio, USA) and Polymerase (Pacbio, USA); the final reaction product was purified by AMpure PB Beads (Pacbio, USA) and placed on the Sequel II (Pacbio, USA) sequencer for machine sequencing. [0064] 1.3.9 Determination of net photosynthetic rate of tomato leaves

[0065] Net photosynthetic rate: measured using a CIRAS-3 portable photosynthetic system (PP-systems, USA). The net photosynthetic rate of the second functional leaf from the top of the tomato plant was measured between 9:00 and 11:00 in the morning, and recorded after the reading stabilized. Four plants were measured for each treatment.

[0066] 1.3.10 Determination of tomato quality indicators

[0067] Each treatment was repeated three times, and five mature tomato fruits from the third bunch were selected for nutritional quality determination. Tomato hardness was determined using a Weidu Electronics GY-1 fruit hardness tester, lycopene content was determined by UV-visible spectrophotometry, soluble sugar content was determined by NY / T1278-2007, soluble solids content was determined by NY / T 2637-2014, vitamin (Vc) content was determined by GB 5009.86-2016, and total acid content was determined by GB 12456-2021.

[0068] 1.4 Data Processing

[0069] Microsoft Excel 2010 software was used to process the data, GraphPad Prism 8.4.2 was used to draw graphs, and DPS2005.12.26 software was used to perform one-way analysis of variance on the data.

[0070] 2. Results Analysis

[0071] 2.1 Film performance test

[0072] The light transmittance, moisture retention and mechanical properties of polyethylene (PE) and different biodegradable (MZS and FZS) mulches before and after use were quite different (Table 1). The light transmittance of PE mulch before and after use was 89.26% and 86.55%, respectively, which was significantly higher than that of FZS and MZS mulches (p < 0.05); the haze of FZS mulch before and after use was 67.33% and 67.43%, respectively, which was significantly higher than that of PE and MZS mulches (p < 0.05), indicating that FZS mulch has the best scattering effect on incident light.

[0073] PE mulch has excellent water retention. The water vapor permeability of the three mulches before and after use is MZS>FZS>PE. The water vapor permeability coefficient of MZS before use is 2.39g·cm / (cm 2 ·s·Pa)10 -13 The water vapor permeability coefficients of PE, MZS and FZS mulches all showed an upward trend after use. The water vapor permeability coefficients of MZS and FZS were 2.43 g·cm / (cm 2 ·s·Pa)10 -13 and 2.38 g·cm / (cm 2 ·s·Pa)10 -13 All of them were significantly higher than PE (p<0.05).

[0074] Compared with before use, the transverse tensile strength of PE, MZS and FZS mulches decreased by 14.29%, 47.70% and 56.21% respectively, and the longitudinal tensile strength decreased by 20.24%, 40.26% and 38.04% respectively after use. After use, the longitudinal nominal strain at fracture of PE, MZS and FZS mulches decreased by 8.55%, 73.27% and 81.86% respectively, and the transverse nominal strain at fracture decreased by 11.57%, 93.85% and 82.48% respectively, indicating that the tensile strength and nominal strain at fracture of MZS and FZS mulches decreased due to degradation.

[0075] 2.2 Degradation characteristics of polyethylene and different biodegradable mulches

[0076] As shown in Table 2, FZS mulch reached level 1 degradation after 45 days of mulching and level 2 degradation after 105 days. MZS mulch reached level 1 degradation after 75 days of mulching. PE mulch did not show degradation during the entire growth period of tomatoes.

[0077] 2.3 Effects of polyethylene mulch and different biodegradable mulches on soil temperature and humidity

[0078] During the tomato growth period, the changes in the 10cm daily average soil temperature and humidity under the treatments of PE mulch and fully biodegradable mulch FZS and MZS generally showed a downward trend. From September 2021 to January 2022, the soil temperatures of the three mulches were in the range of 13.90℃-24.53℃ (PE), 14.43℃-24.53℃ (MZS), and 14.23℃-24.13℃ (FZS), respectively. In the later stage of crop growth, the ambient temperature gradually becomes colder. The soil temperatures of the three treatments are MZS>FZS>PE( Figure 1 A). Soil moisture data showed that from September 2021 to January 2022, the soil moisture of the three types of mulch films was in the range of 25.00%-39.00% (PE), 19.00%-29.00% (MZS), and 18.00%-35.33% (FZS), respectively. During the tomato growing period, the soil moisture of the PE mulch film was higher than that of the FZS and MZS mulch films; as the crop grows, the mulch film covering time becomes longer and longer, the degree of degradation of the FZS mulch film gradually increases, and the rupture of the mulch film reduces the soil moisture, so the soil moisture of the MZS film is higher than that of the FZS film ( Figure 1 B).

[0079] 2.4 Effects of polyethylene mulch and different biodegradable mulches on soil physical and chemical properties

[0080] PE and different biodegradable mulches (MZS and FZS) affected the physical and chemical properties of the soil after use (Table 3). After covering with PE, MZS and FZS mulches, there were no significant differences in soil bulk density, total porosity and water-holding pore indexes among the treatments. The pH of the soil covered with PE mulch reached 8.23, which was significantly higher than that covered with MZS and FZS mulches (p < 0.05); the electrical conductivity of the soil covered with FZS mulch reached 201.33 μm / cm and the organic matter content reached 13.67 g / kg, which were significantly higher than those covered with PE and MZS mulches (ρ < 0.05).

The relative abundance of uncultured_soil_bacterium after covering with FZS mulch is higher than that of MZS and PE mulch ( Figure 2 D). The above-mentioned bacteria and fungi are all known species.

[0084] 2.6 Effects of polyethylene mulch and different biodegradable mulches on the net photosynthetic rate of tomato leaves

[0085] Covering with PE mulch, MZS mulch and FZS mulch would affect the net photosynthetic rate of tomato leaves, which showed an overall trend of first increasing and then decreasing. During the entire measurement period, compared with covering with PE mulch, covering with MZS mulch could significantly increase the net photosynthetic rate of tomato leaves by 4.10% (ρ<0.05) except on October 22, and there was no significant difference at other times ( Figure 3 ).

[0086] 2.7 Effects of polyethylene mulch and different biodegradable mulches on tomato quality
