An improved expansive soil and its preparation method and application

Abstract

The application relates to an improved swelling soil and a preparation method and application thereof, the improved swelling soil comprising 0.4-0.8% of sugarcane residue fiber, 4-8% of biochar, 4% of cement, 0-1.25% of a pH value regulator and 85.95-91.60% of swelling soil to be improved. The application reinforces the soil structure by the sugarcane residue fiber, and restrains the deformation; the biochar is mixed to improve the water stability and structural stability of the soil; the cement is mixed to make the soil sandy and granulated, thereby improving the strength, compactness and stability of the soil; and the pH value regulator is mixed to adjust the acid-base environment of the soil, which is beneficial to subsequent ecological restoration. The application significantly improves the physical and mechanical properties of the swelling soil, effectively reduces the swelling and shrinking potential of the swelling soil, and can make the swelling soil reach an acid-base environment suitable for plant growth. Meanwhile, the solid waste is recycled, waste is turned into treasure, the preparation process is simple and feasible, and the application has good engineering application value.
