Abstract

The present invention discloses a high-energy-density CuF2 positive electrode material for lithium-ion batteries and a preparation method thereof. The method comprises the following steps: dissolving a copper salt in anhydrous ethanol to prepare a copper salt solution; dissolving ammonium fluoride in a mixed solvent of methanol and water to prepare an ammonium fluoride solution; dropping the ammonium fluoride solution into the copper salt solution to prepare a precursor by co-precipitation, which is then centrifuged, cleaned, dried, and then heat-treated in an inert atmosphere to obtain a high-energy-density CuF2 positive electrode material for lithium-ion batteries. The present invention effectively regulates the purity of the final product, copper fluoride, by introducing methanol, thereby improving the electrochemical performance. Compared with the existing CuF2 synthesis process, the process method proposed in the present invention has a short process flow, simple operation, avoids the use of toxic fluorine sources such as hydrogen fluoride, and the synthesized positive electrode material has the advantages of high purity, good dispersion, small particle size, high electrochemical reaction activity, and high energy density.
