A modified asphalt, its preparation method and application

Abstract

This invention discloses a modified asphalt, its preparation method, and its applications. The modified asphalt, by weight, comprises 600-1000 parts of base asphalt, 50-300 parts of coal tar pitch, 10-50 parts of linear modifier, 5-30 parts of C9 petroleum resin, 10-30 parts of aromatic oil, and 1-7 parts of vulcanizing agent. This invention, through mixing base asphalt, coal tar pitch, linear modifier, C9 petroleum resin, aromatic oil, and vulcanizing agent, significantly increases the softening point of the modified asphalt to 90℃ while ensuring that the asphalt product meets technical requirements. The method of this invention is simple to operate and easy to industrialize.
