[0016] One or more specific embodiments will be described below. In order to provide a concise description of these embodiments, not all features of an actual implementation are described in the specification. It should be appreciated that in the development of any such actual implementation, as in any engineering or design project, many implementation-specific decisions must be made to achieve the developer's specific goals, such as compliance with system-related and business-related constraints, which may vary from one implementation to another. Moreover, it should be appreciated that such development efforts may be complex and time-consuming, but will be no more than a routine task of design, fabrication, and manufacturing for a person of ordinary skill having the benefit of this disclosure.

[0017] Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to systems and methods for managing customer-specific artificial intelligence (AI) entities that may have specific identities, character details, personality traits, emotions, preferences, etc. that may be modified based on the activities of customers (e.g., directly associated with the AI entity) within the amusement park, which activities may be monitored via various sensors placed within the amusement park. Each AI entity may be specific to a particular customer, and as the customer moves around the amusement park, the AI entity specific to the customer may be periodically revealed via various park features (such as displays, lighting effects systems, animated characters, sound effects systems, etc.). Thus, customer-specific AI entities may act as "ghosts" that follow their corresponding customers around the amusement park and present themselves at appropriate times to provide, for example, enhanced immersion associated with certain themed areas within the amusement park.

[0018] Additionally, in certain embodiments, customer-specific AI entities may exist within a digital environment that is opposed to the physical environment of the amusement park, may move around the digital environment separately from the movement of associated customers within the physical environment of the amusement park, and may serve as a trigger source for actions within the physical environment of the amusement park corresponding to the location and / or actions of the customer-specific AI entity within the digital environment (e.g., which corresponds to the physical environment of the amusement park). Specifically, customer-specific AI entities may learn from the activities of their associated customers and may interact with the digital environment in a manner that the customer-specific AI entity is taught to think will be consistent with the behavior of their associated customers. As just one non-limiting example, Google Maps and other online mapping platforms may represent a version of a digital parallel world that directly corresponds to the real physical world. In certain embodiments, a customer-specific AI entity may move around Google Maps and have global positioning system (GPS) coordinates associated with the physical world. As described in more detail herein, this GPS location of the customer-specific AI entity may serve as a trigger source for a virtual sensor (e.g., a sensor in the digital world) that may affect the physical world or initiate a simulated interaction with the real world. Of course, the digital world is not constrained by the physical world, but can have representational constraints, parallel constraints, non-relational constraints (e.g., constraints that are not part of the physical world), partially represent real-world constraints, or attempt to be fully constrained by the physical world.

[0019] Go to the attached picture, Figure 11 is a schematic representation of an amusement park 10 having patron-specific AI entities. Specifically, the amusement park 10 includes one or more park features 12 (e.g., displays 12, 12A, lighting effects systems 12, 12B, animated characters 12, 12C, and / or sound effects systems 12, 12D) at or around various locations (e.g., attractions, sections, pathways, or other areas of the amusement park 10) that can be modified for specific patrons 50. As described in more detail herein, the one or more park features 12 can collectively function as an AI manifestation system that is configured to manifest the presence of an AI entity specific to certain patrons 50 of the amusement park 10.

[0020] In the illustrated embodiment, the amusement park 10 includes a plurality of attractions 14, including a tunnel ride attraction 14, 14A, a virtual game room attraction 14, 14B, a restaurant attraction 14, 14C, a roller coaster attraction 14, 14D, and a water attraction 14, 14E, among other attractions. As described in more detail herein, different embodiments of park features 12 can be found throughout the amusement park 10, and the AI entity management system 16 can activate interactions from the park features 12 to react in a manner that the patron 50 perceives as a response from an AI entity specific to the particular patron 50 based at least in part on patron data collected through various sensors 18 positioned within the amusement park 10.

[0021] For example, in certain embodiments, the tunnel ride attraction 14, 14A and the restaurant attraction 14, 14C may include a display 12, 12A that displays an image of an animated character 12, 12C. In response to detecting a specific patron 50, such as using a proximity sensor 18, 18A or a visual sensor to detect and / or determine the presence of a person and a camera 18, 18B to identify the specific patron 50, the AI entity management system 16 may cause the specific animated character 12, 12C to react based at least in part on the patron data collected for the specific patron 50, as described in more detail herein. Furthermore, in certain embodiments, a virtual representation (e.g., avatar, hologram, image, animation) of the animated character 12, 12C in a virtual environment (e.g., a virtual game in a virtual game room) 14, 14B may react similarly.

[0022] As another non-limiting example, in certain embodiments, the AI entity management system 16 may determine that a specific patron 50 is currently on the tunnel ride attraction 14, 14A, for example, using data received from an electronic reader 18, 18C positioned proximate to the ride track 22, which has detected data from (e.g., received a signal from, scanned, etc.) a patron-wearable readable identifier (ID) 19, 19A (e.g., which may be a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag, barcode, or other type of tag, code, etc. readable by the electronic reader 18, 18C) associated with the specific patron 50. As illustrated, in certain embodiments, the ride vehicle 20 of the tunnel ride attraction 14, 14A may also include one or more readable IDs 19, 19B that may be readable by the electronic reader 18, 18C. In certain embodiments, as the ride vehicle 20 moves along the ride track 22, the electronic reader 18, 18C on the ride track 22 may read (e.g., receive a signal from, scan, etc.) the readable ID(s) 19, 19B of the ride vehicle 20, thereby indicating the presence of the ride vehicle 20. Based on the ride vehicle 20 being present and moving along the ride track 22, as described in greater detail herein, the AI entity management system 16 may determine that the specific patron 50 is present within a threshold distance (e.g., a threshold range) of interest, such as within a distance (e.g., a threshold range) near one or more park features 12 that may be indicated to simulate the presence of an AI entity associated with the specific patron 50. For example, the AI entity management system 16 may use data that has been collected by the AI entity management system 16 (e.g., at the start of a ride) indicating that the specific patron 50 is riding the specific ride vehicle 20. Additionally or alternatively, when the ride vehicle 20 moves over a force sensor (e.g., weight sensor) 18, 18D positioned on the ride track 22, the force sensor (e.g., weight sensor) 18, 18D may detect a force (e.g., weight) above a threshold force (e.g., weight), thereby indicating the presence of the ride vehicle 20.

[0023] In certain embodiments, after determining that the ride vehicle 20 is present and that a specific customer 50 may be present, the AI entity management system 16 may instruct the additional sensors 18 to collect data and / or transmit data to the AI entity management system 16 (e.g., to help identify the specific customer 50). For example, in certain embodiments, the AI entity management system 16 may perform image analysis of the data (e.g., video and / or images) collected by the cameras 18, 18B to match the images collected by the cameras 18, 18B with images corresponding to a user ID associated with the specific customer 50. For example, the video and / or images collected by the cameras 18, 18B may be compared to a library of images stored by the AI entity management system 16 to match the specific customer 50 (e.g., using an image recognition algorithm) and determine the user ID based on the recognition. In addition to or alternatively to the cameras 18, 18B, the AI entity management system 16 may analyze the readable ID data collected by the electronic readers 18, 18C to associate it with a user ID associated with the specific customer 50. In certain embodiments, the AI entity management system 16 may use the camera 18 , 18B and / or electronic reader 18 , 18C to determine the presence of a specific customer 50 and identify the specific customer 50 rather than initially determining the presence of a specific customer 50 based on, for example, the weight of the ride vehicle 20 .

[0024] After identifying the patron 50, the AI entity management system 16 may analyze the patron data of the specific patron 50 and subsequently modify the interactions of the tunnel ride attraction 14, 14A based on the patron data. For example, in certain embodiments, the patron data may indicate that the specific patron 50 is afraid of clowns. Specifically, the AI entity management system 16 may determine that the specific patron 50 has made a statement that they are afraid of clowns (e.g., captured by a sound sensor 18, 18E at another attraction 14). Additionally, in certain embodiments, data may be conveyed by certain sounds detected by the sound sensors 18, 18E, such that the sounds may serve as sound-based data waveforms that may be processed by the AI entity management system 16 for the purpose of providing information about the activities of the specific patron 50 at the amusement park 10. As used herein, the terms "sound" and "audio" may be used in the same context and may in fact be referred to together.

[0025] Additionally, in certain embodiments, one or more of the sensors 18 described herein may be part of a customer mobile device 34 associated with a customer 50. For example, in certain embodiments, one or more of the sensors 18 may be integrated into a mobile phone or tablet associated with a specific customer 50. Additionally, in certain embodiments, one or more of the sensors 18 may be integrated into an object (e.g., a wearable device, a toy, a mobile phone, a tablet, etc.) 51 associated with (e.g., worn by, carried by, owned by) a specific customer 50. In such embodiments, the customer mobile device 34 and / or the customer-associated object 51 may be registered with the AI entity management system 16 to enable the AI entity management system 16 to track data detected by the sensor 18 integrated into the customer mobile device 34 and / or the sensor 18 integrated with the customer-associated object 51. In certain embodiments, as described in more detail herein, sensors 18 integrated with a customer mobile device 34 and / or sensors integrated with a customer-associated object 51 may detect and / or determine the presence of an associated customer 50 at a specific location within the physical environment of the amusement park 10, and may capture data about the associated customer 50 (e.g., video, images, and / or sound of the associated customer 50, etc.).

[0026] As described in more detail herein, the AI entity management system 16 may instruct the activation and / or deactivation of park features 12 and / or instruct adjustments (e.g., customizations) of outputs (e.g., actuations, visual outputs, audio outputs) of park features 12 based on data collected by sensors 18 about specific patrons 50. For example, when a ride vehicle 20 in which a specific patron 50 is riding approaches a specific park animated feature 12, 12C, the animated feature 12, 12C may call out to the specific patron 50, ask about games that the specific patron 50 played earlier at the amusement park 10, ask about family members of the specific patron 50 by name, make comments related to zones of the amusement park that the specific patron 50 has visited, and the like (e.g., via associated sound effects systems 12, 12D). Thus, the AI entity management system 16 may instruct park features 12 placed throughout the amusement park 10 based on patron data determined by sensors 18. In addition, in some embodiments, the AI entity management system 16 may cause (e.g., instruct) the animated characters 12, 12C to make faces and / or gestures based on customer data, for example (e.g., making faces and / or gestures based on customer data that may make the specific customer 50 laugh (e.g., data indicating content that the specific customer 50 may find funny) and making faces and / or gestures based on customer data that may scare the specific customer 50 (e.g., data indicating content that the specific customer 50 may be afraid of)).

[0027] By way of example, patron data (e.g., number of tickets purchased for the amusement park 10, number of known friends and family members identified as being in the amusement park 10 for a specific time frame (e.g., on a specific day, during a specific weekend, during a specific week, etc.), number of attractions 14 visited, number of times each attraction has been visited, total length of time visited each attraction, etc.) may indicate that the specific patron 50 is visiting the amusement park 10 with one or more other persons (e.g., friends, family members), and therefore, the AI entity management system 16 retrieves data related to the one or more other persons (e.g., such as tagged friends and / or family member names on a social media application). Additionally, in certain embodiments, during a ride on the tunnel ride attraction 14, 14A, the AI entity management system 16 may analyze video data from the cameras 18, 18B indicating that the specific patron 50 is on the ride vehicle 20 with one or more other patrons, and may determine that the other patrons are friends and / or family members and / or are otherwise in a group together. In certain embodiments, the AI entity management system 16 may perform additional image analysis to match the captured video data with images on a social media application to confirm the identities of the other patrons. Thus, the AI entity management system 16 may provide customized interactions for the specific customer 50 and / or other customers by addressing the corresponding other customers by their names. However, in some embodiments, the specific customer 50 may control the data shared with the AI entity management system 16, and therefore, the degree of interactivity may correspond to the degree to which data is shared. For example, a restriction may cause the AI entity management system 16 to limit the interaction to only addressing the customer 50 by name and not addressing other customers by name.

[0028] In certain embodiments, the tunnel ride attraction 14, 14A may include other sound effects systems 12, 12D that the AI entity management system 16 modifies based on customer data. For example, in certain embodiments, the AI entity management system 16 may cause (e.g., instruct) the sound effects system 12, 12D to play audio (e.g., theme songs, slogans, dialogue, sound effects) associated with a particular customer's favorite attractions 14. Additionally, in certain embodiments, the AI entity management system 16 may cause the light effects system 12, 12B to project images (e.g., clown's face, animals) in the tunnel of the tunnel ride attraction 14, 14A based on the customer data of the particular customer 50. Additionally, in certain embodiments, as described in more detail herein, the park feature 12 may dynamically change based on the particular customer 50 being positioned within a threshold distance from the park feature 12. Based on the customer's location relative to the particular park feature 12, the AI entity management system 16 may instruct the output of the park feature 12 based on the particular customer 50. For example, in certain embodiments, the AI entity management system 16 may instruct activation, deactivation, and / or customization of outputs of a park feature 12 on the left side of the tunnel ride attraction 14, 14A for a specific customer 50 positioned on the left side of the ride vehicle 20, and / or may instruct activation, deactivation, and / or customization of outputs of a park feature 12 on the right side of the tunnel ride attraction 14, 14A for a specific customer 50 positioned on the right side of the ride vehicle 20. Similarly, when a first customer 50, 50A moves out of range of a park feature 12 and a second customer 50, 50B moves into range of a park feature 12 (e.g., when the ride vehicle 20 moves along the ride track 22), the AI entity management system 16 may instruct activation, deactivation, and / or customization of outputs of a park feature 12 for the second customer 50, 50B (e.g., projecting a spider in the tunnel for the second customer 50, 50B on the next ride vehicle 20).

[0029] Additionally, in certain embodiments, the AI entity management system 16 may instruct the animated character 12, 12C (e.g., instruct activation of the animated character, instruct deactivation of the animated character, instruct customization of the output of the animated character) based on the specifically identified customer 50 that is within the threshold range 24 and in closest proximity to the animated character 12, 12C. As shown, in the group 26 of customers 50, the AI entity management system 16 may instruct the animated character 12, 12C to react to the customer 50 of the first customer 50 to be within the threshold range 24. Then, after the first customer 50, 50A is outside the threshold range 24 and / or after a predetermined time for interacting with the first customer 50, the AI entity management system 16 may stop and / or switch (e.g., customize) the interaction (e.g., to a second customer 50, 50B to be within the threshold range 24). In certain embodiments, the AI entity management system 16 may also cause varying interactions depending on the group 26 of customers 50 (e.g., a first interaction when a first customer 50, 50A is present, a second interaction when a second customer 50, 50B is present, a third interaction when the first customer 50, 50A and the second customer 50, 50B are present together, etc.) and depending on a combination of preferences of individuals in the group 26. For example, in certain embodiments, an overlap of interests between most group members may be identified and interactions may be provided using that overlap of interests, a random selection or combination of interactions may be indicated based on the preferences of those in the group, interactions may be cycled through based on group preferences, etc. In certain embodiments, when a particular customer 50 is within the threshold range 24, but is not facing the animated character 12, 12C, the AI entity management system 16 may instruct the animated character 12, 12C to turn around to provide a modified interaction.

[0030] References in the above Figure 1 The described embodiments are primarily directed to tracking the physical activities of patrons 50 of amusement park 10 for the purpose of creating physical interactions in the physical environment of amusement park 10 to simulate the presence of patron-specific AI entities 36 in the physical environment of amusement park 10. However, in certain embodiments, as described in more detail herein, patron-specific AI entities 36 may exist in a digital environment that is separate from (e.g., but may directly correspond to (e.g., be coupled to, linked to)) the physical environment of amusement park 10, and may take actions that are separate from the actions of their associated patrons 50 that create physical interactions in the physical environment of amusement park 10.

[0031] Additionally, in certain embodiments, the monitoring system 28 and / or the service desk 30 may monitor the amusement park 10 and the AI entity management system 16 to ensure that park operations are being completed as intended. Specifically, as described in more detail herein, the interactions with a specific patron 50 that may occur via the various park features 12 described herein are intended to simulate the presence of one or more AI entities that are specific to the specific patron 50, and the AI entity develops a specific "personality" based on all prior activity with respect to the specific patron 50 of the amusement park 10 (e.g., as determined and / or detected by the various sensors 18 described herein).

[0032] To illustrate how the AI entity management system 16 maintains the customer-specific AI entities 36 described herein, Figure 2 Depicts used to indicate Figure 1 The park features 12 of the amusement park 10 simulate the presence of the customer-specific AI entity system 32 of the customer-specific AI entity 36. As shown, the customer-specific AI entity system 32 includes sensors 18, AI entity management system 16, park features (e.g., attraction features) 12, and one or more customer mobile devices 34, among other devices. It should be understood that according to the disclosed embodiments, the illustrated system is intended to be exemplary only, and certain features and components may be omitted, and various other features and components may be added to facilitate performance.

[0033] It should be noted that while primarily described as being managed directly by the AI entity management system 16, in other embodiments, the customer-specific AI entity 36 may represent portable and / or evolving code (e.g., a portable and / or evolving code snippet) that may be dynamically injected into the programming of the park feature 12 (e.g., via edge computing or as a chip that may be plugged into the AI entity management system 16). In other words, in some embodiments, the customer-specific AI entity 36 may be developed and / or managed at least in part separately from the AI entity management system 16. For example, in some embodiments, the customer-specific AI entity 36 may not exist within the AI entity management system 16. More specifically, in such embodiments, physical interactions in the physical environment of the amusement park 10 caused by the AI entity management system 16 may be managed by the AI entity management system 16, but the actual customer-specific AI entity 36 may not be managed by the AI entity management system 16.

[0034] Additionally, while primarily described herein as utilizing customer-specific AI entities 36 that are directly associated with patrons 50 and that manifest themselves based on the activities of those specific patrons, in certain embodiments, customer-specific AI entities 36 may be associated in some manner with other patrons that are associated with a specific patron. For example, in certain embodiments, a customer-specific AI entity 36 may be associated with a parent of a specific patron 50 (e.g., a parent's child) and may be configured by the parent to manage and interact with the specific patron 50 as the specific patron 50 moves throughout the amusement park 10. Thus, in certain embodiments, the customer-specific AI entity 36 may act as a digitally-run monitoring system (e.g., a day care system) for children visiting the amusement park 10. Specifically, parents may configure the customer-specific AI entity 36 to operate in a specific manner with respect to guiding their child (e.g., with respect to a certain theme of the amusement park 10, etc.); however, the configuration of the customer-specific AI entity 36 may be modified by the AI entity management system 16. Additionally, in certain embodiments, the AI entity management system 16 may aggregate multiple customer-specific AI entities 36 into an aggregate AI entity, which may, for example, represent an amalgam of certain personality traits of interest to a specific group of customers 50 .

[0035] like Figure 2 As shown in FIG. 1 , in some embodiments, the AI entity management system 16 may include an input device 42, a processor 44, a memory 46, and a communication circuit 48. In some embodiments, the input device 42 may receive input data from the sensor 18. Based on the input data received at the input device 42, the AI entity management system 16 may manage the customer-specific AI entity 36 by, for example, modifying the artificial personality of the customer-specific AI entity 36, instructing various campus features 12 to manifest the presence of the customer-specific AI entity 36, and so on. Specifically, the AI entity management system 16 described herein (and in Figure 1 In an amusement park setting (shown in FIG. 1 ), the AI entity management system 16 may control (e.g., instruct, for example, instruct its output) park features 12 (such as displays 12, 12A, lighting effects systems 12, 12B, animated characters 12, 12C, and / or sound effects systems 12, 12D). As described above with respect to Figure 1As described, the amusement park 10 may include attractions 14 throughout the amusement park 10, such as tunnel ride attractions 14, 14A, virtual game room attractions 14, 14B, restaurant attractions 14, 14C, roller coaster attractions 14, 14D and water attractions 14, 14E, as well as other attractions, which may include one or more of the park features 12. By way of example, the tunnel ride attraction 14, 14A may include a lighting effects system 12, 12B, one or more animated characters 12, 12C and / or a sound effects system 12, 12D, while a walkway at the amusement park 10 may include one or more animated characters 12, 12C and one or more displays 12, 12A. In addition, in some embodiments, the amusement park 10 may be divided into multiple zones organized by theme and / or age group. By way of example, zones of the amusement park 10 organized by a specific theme may include a heavier focus or surround specific objects associated with the specific theme.

[0036] As described in more detail herein, the AI entity management system 16 may control (e.g., instruct) the park features 12 to provide customized interactions for the patrons 50. By way of example, the AI entity management system 16 may control (e.g., instruct) the speakers of the sound effects system 12, 12D on the tunnel ride attraction 14, 14A to produce audio associated with the patron-specific AI entity 36 associated with the specific patron 50. For example, the audio may include a recognizable and unique sound (e.g., music (e.g., a song), a particular tone, a pattern of noises associated with the specific AI entity 36)) and / or the patron's name. The customized audio may be based on patron data acquired by the sensors 18 described herein. As another example, the AI entity management system 16 may control (e.g., instruct) the lighting effects system 12, 12B to project a particular animation (e.g., on the ride tunnel walls) during the ride based on the patron data. For example, the AI entity management system 16 may retrieve customer data from the sensors 18 indicating a fear of a specific customer, and use the customer data to modify the animation projected by the light effects system 12, 12B (e.g., if the specific customer 50 is afraid of spiders and the associated AI entity 36 is associated with spiders in some way, then an image of a spider is projected). The AI entity management system 16 may retrieve customer data from the sensors 18 indicating a preference of a specific customer, and use the customer data to modify the animation projected by the light effects system 12, 12B (e.g., if the specific customer 50 likes puppies and the associated AI entity 36 is associated with puppies in some way, then an image of a puppy is projected). In this way, the AI entity management system 16 may control (e.g., instruct) and modify and / or customize amusement park interactions to provide a customized experience based on customer data. Specifically, as described in more detail herein, the presence of customers on or near certain park features 12 may trigger the AI entity management system 16 to instruct the park features 12 based on the customer data (e.g., instruct activation of the park feature 12, instruct deactivation of the park feature 12, instruct customization of the park feature 12). In certain embodiments, the AI entity management system 16 may also use data acquired by one or more of the sensors 18 described herein (e.g., data indicating the identity of a specific customer 50, data indicating the location of a specific customer 50, data indicating the movement of a specific customer 50) to determine the presence (e.g., identification, location, movement, etc.) of a specific customer 50. It will be appreciated that the lighting effects system 12, 12B may include any number of different types of systems configured to generate light for the purpose of displaying (e.g., via one or more displays (e.g., liquid crystal (LCD) displays, light emitting diode (LED) displays, organic light emitting diode (OLED) displays)), projecting (e.g., via one or more projectors), or otherwise presenting the generated light to a customer 50.

[0037] As mentioned above about Figure 1 As described, the sensors 18 may include one or more proximity sensors 18, 18A, one or more cameras 18, 18B, one or more readable IDs 19, one or more electronic readers 18, 18C, one or more force sensors (e.g., weight sensors) 18, 18D, and / or one or more sound sensors 18, 18E. Some of the sensors 18 may be placed or positioned in areas where patrons are expected to be present, such as on a ride vehicle 20 or a ride track 22 of a ride facility. In certain embodiments, a readable ID 19 may communicate with the electronic reader 18, 18C to indicate the presence of a specific patron 50. For example, in certain embodiments, a readable ID 19, 19B may be incorporated into a ride facility, such as on a ride track 22 or a ride vehicle 20 of a ride facility (e.g., inside, on a side, or on an entryway of a ride vehicle 20). Additionally, the electronic reader 18, 18C may be placed in a manner that allows for scanning of the readable ID 19. By way of example, the electronic reader 18, 18C may be placed on the ride track 22 so that when the ride vehicle 20 passes over the electronic reader 18, 18C, the electronic reader 18, 18C may scan the readable ID 19, 19B on the ride vehicle 20, thereby indicating that the specific customer 50 is on the ride facility. In certain embodiments, the readable ID 19 may include a customer wearable readable ID 19, 19A associated with a specific user ID 52. Therefore, when the customer wearable readable ID 19, 19A associated with the specific customer 50 is scanned, the data from the electronic reader 18, 18C may indicate that the specific customer 50 associated with the specific user ID 52 is present. Subsequently, as described in more detail herein, the AI entity management system 16 may retrieve the specific customer 50 data based on the user ID 52 and indicate the park features 12 accordingly.

[0038] As described in more detail herein, the amusement park 10 may also track patron park activity, such as ride history, interactions, and the like. By way of example, the tracked patron park activity (e.g., tracked via the patron wearable readable ID 19, 19A) may indicate that the specific patron 50 stayed in a particular section of the amusement park 10 for most of the time that the patron visited the amusement park 10. The tracked patron park activity may also indicate that the specific patron 50 rode a particular ride more often than other rides. As described in more detail herein, based on this patron data, the AI entity management system 16 may determine the preferences of the specific patron 50 (e.g., the most and / or least favorite sections of the amusement park 10, the most and / or least favorite rides of the amusement park 10, the most and / or least favorite intellectual property used in the amusement park 10) and use these preferences to modify the artificial personality of the patron-specific AI entity 36 associated with the specific patron 50.

[0039] In certain embodiments, one or more cameras 18, 18B may be placed or positioned in an area based on where customers are expected to be present, such as to view a ride vehicle 20 on a ride facility. In such embodiments, data (e.g., images, videos) captured by the cameras 18, 18B may be used to determine the presence of a specific customer 50. Specifically, the data captured by the cameras 18, 18B may be used (e.g., by a computing device, by a controller, by a processor) to determine the presence of a specific customer 50 through facial recognition and / or body recognition. In certain embodiments, the cameras 18, 18B may provide images and / or videos as input data to the AI entity management system 16, which may then perform facial recognition and / or body recognition. In certain embodiments, the cameras 18, 18B (e.g., one or more cameras including a processor, one or more cameras including a controller (including a processor)) and / or the AI entity management system 16 may match the images and / or videos with previously stored (one or more) images of the specific customer 50. In certain embodiments, previously stored image(s) of a specific customer 50 may be stored in the memory 46 of the AI entity management system 16 and associated with the user ID 52 of the specific customer 50, and / or retrievable via a third-party application 54 (e.g., a picture of the customer (e.g., a profile picture) on a social media application).

[0040] Similarly, in certain embodiments, one or more sound sensors (e.g., microphones) 18, 18E may be placed or positioned in areas based on where patrons are expected to be present, such as to view ride vehicles 20 on a ride facility. In such embodiments, data (e.g., sound, vibration, etc.) captured by the sound sensors 18, 18E may be used to determine the presence of a specific patron 50. Specifically, the data captured by the sound sensors 18, 18E may be used (e.g., by a computing device, by a controller, by a processor) to determine the presence of a specific patron 50 through sound input and voice recognition. In certain embodiments, the sound sensors 18, 18E may provide audio samples as input data to the AI entity management system 16, which may then perform the sound input and voice recognition. In certain embodiments, the sound sensors 18, 18E (e.g., one or more sound sensors including a processor, one or more sound sensors including a controller (including a processor)) and / or the AI entity management system 16 may match the audio samples with previously stored (one or more) audio samples of the specific patron 50. In certain embodiments, previously stored audio sample(s) for a specific customer 50 may be stored in the memory 46 of the AI entity management system 16 and associated with the user ID 52 of the specific customer 50 , and / or retrievable via a third-party application 54 .

[0041] Additionally or alternatively, in some embodiments, a force (e.g., weight) sensor 18, 18D may indicate the presence of a customer 50. For example, a force (e.g., weight) sensor 18, 18D may be mounted on the ride track 22 and may indicate the presence of a ride vehicle 20 on the ride track 22 based on a predetermined force (e.g., a predetermined weight (e.g., the weight of the ride vehicle 20, a percentage of the weight of the ride vehicle 20)). Similarly, in some embodiments, one or more proximity sensors 18, 18A may be placed or positioned proximate to an area where a customer is expected to be present. The proximity sensor 18, 18A may detect and / or determine the presence of a nearby customer 50 and / or associated object 51 without physical contact by using an electromagnetic field, light (e.g., visible light, invisible light), and / or sound (such as a capacitive sensor, a laser sensor and transmitter system, a light detection and ranging system, a vibration (e.g., sound) proximity sensor (e.g., an ultrasonic proximity sensor), etc.).

[0042] In some embodiments, one or more proximity sensors (e.g., a proximity sensor system including a transmitter) 18, 18A and / or a transmitter associated with a proximity sensor (e.g., an electromagnetic field transmitter communicatively coupled to the proximity sensor) may emit a beam of electromagnetic field or electromagnetic radiation (e.g., infrared radiation). In some embodiments, the proximity sensor 18, 18A (e.g., a proximity sensor including a transmitter (e.g., an electromagnetic radiation transmitter), a proximity sensor without a transmitter (e.g., a proximity sensor communicatively coupled to a transmitter (e.g., a transmitter external to the proximity sensor)) may detect and / or measure the electromagnetic field. In some embodiments, the proximity sensor 18, 18A may detect and / or measure the return signal. In some embodiments, the proximity sensor 18, 18A may include a computing device, a controller, and / or a processor. In certain embodiments, proximity sensor 18, 18A may detect and / or determine changes in fields and / or signals (e.g., the proximity sensor may detect and / or determine changes in an emitted electromagnetic field and / or beam of electromagnetic radiation (e.g., the proximity sensor may include a computing device, controller, and / or processor and use the computing device, controller, and / or processor to determine changes in an emitted electromagnetic field and / or beam of electromagnetic radiation)).

[0043] In certain embodiments, one or more of the proximity sensors 18, 18A may communicate proximity sensor data (e.g., detected and / or measured electromagnetic fields and / or beams of electromagnetic radiation) to an offboard (e.g., external) computing device, controller, and / or processor, which may use the proximity sensor data to determine changes in the emitted electromagnetic fields and / or beams of electromagnetic radiation (e.g., the proximity sensors may be communicatively coupled to the AI entity management system 16 and / or a separate control system (e.g., controller, processor) that may determine changes in the emitted electromagnetic fields and / or beams of electromagnetic radiation). In certain embodiments, one or more proximity sensors 18, 18A and / or a system (e.g., AI entity management system 16, computing device, controller, processor) that is offboard and communicatively coupled to one or more proximity sensors may use the proximity sensor data to determine the presence and / or proximity (e.g., distance from a location (e.g., distance from one or more of the proximity sensors)) of a customer 50 and / or associated object 51.

[0044] Additionally, in certain embodiments, data from proximity sensors 18, 18A may also be used to determine the location of customer 50 relative to a known location (e.g., the location of park feature 12, the location of park attraction 14, a specific portion of park attraction 14 (e.g., an entrance)) (e.g., using data from multiple proximity sensors (e.g., three or more proximity sensors)). For example, three proximity sensors may be used to determine the location of a customer at a certain moment. Additionally, in certain embodiments, the location of customer 50 at a certain moment may be compared to a known location (e.g., of park feature 12, of attraction 14, a specific portion of attraction 14 (e.g., an entrance)). The difference in location may be determined as the distance between customer 50 and the known location. The distance between the customer and the location of park feature 12 may be used to determine whether customer 50 is within a threshold range 24 of park feature 12. For example, if the distance between the customer and the location of park feature 12 is less than or equal to the threshold range 24 of park feature 12, it may be determined that customer 50 is within the threshold range of park feature 12. The AI entity management system 16 and / or a separate control system (e.g., a controller, a processor) communicatively coupled to the AI entity management system 16 may make this determination. Additionally, data from a proximity sensor 18, 18A may be used to determine whether the customer 50 is within a threshold range of the park feature 12. For example, data from a proximity sensor 18, 18A may be used to determine the distance between the customer 50 and the proximity sensor 18, 18A. In certain embodiments, the distance may be used in conjunction with the field of view of the proximity sensor 18, 18A to determine an azimuth range that defines all possible positions of the customer 50 relative to the proximity sensor 18, 18A. Positions within the azimuth range may be compared to the position of the park feature 12. If the distance between each position within the azimuth range and the park feature 12 is within the threshold range 24 of the park feature 12, the customer 50 may be determined to be within the threshold range 24 of the park feature 12. Similar methods may be utilized. For example, if every point within the detection range and field of view of the proximity sensor 18, 18A is within the threshold range 24 of the park feature 12, then the customer 50 detected by the proximity sensor 18, 18A is within the threshold range 24 of the park feature 12. Similar methods can be used to determine whether the customer 50 is within a threshold distance or threshold range of the park attraction 14 or a specific location of the park attraction 14. In addition, in certain embodiments, the techniques described herein for determining the location of the customer 50 using the proximity sensor 18, 18A can be expanded to use these techniques to determine the location of a specific location (e.g., a ride vehicle 20, etc.) and then similarly determine the location of the customer 50 relative to the specific location. In order to accurately detect and / or determine the presence of nearby customers 50 and / or associated objects 51, the proximity sensor 18, 18A can be positioned near the loading point of the ride vehicle 20 and / or on the ride vehicle seat.In some embodiments, the readable ID 19 and / or the camera 18, 18B may be used alone or in combination with other sensors 18 (e.g., force (e.g., weight) sensors 18, 18D and / or proximity sensors 18, 18A) to detect and / or determine the presence of a specific customer 50 and / or identify a specific customer 50.

[0045] Additionally or alternatively, in some embodiments, third-party applications 54 may provide input data to the AI entity management system 16. That is, the third-party applications 54 may be enabled (e.g., with customer permission) to share data with the AI entity management system 16. The third-party applications 54 may include systems associated with third parties, and this may include entities that do not have a direct relationship with the amusement park 10. The third-party applications 54 may provide third-party data collected from one or more third parties through their websites, mobile applications, and / or other platforms. The third-party applications 54 may include, but are not limited to, social media applications, medical applications, and / or banking applications. Therefore, the third-party data from the third-party applications 54 may include data associated with social media applications, medical applications, and / or banking applications.

[0046] In certain embodiments, the patron mobile device 34 may provide input data to the AI entity management system 16. For example, in certain embodiments, as described in more detail herein, the patron mobile device 34 may include one or more sensors 18 that facilitate the collection of data related to the activities of the associated patron 50 within the physical environment of the amusement park 10. Additionally, in certain embodiments, the associated patron mobile device 34 may be enabled to share device data with the AI entity management system 16 (e.g., pursuant to permission received from the patron 50, the associated patron mobile device 34 may be enabled to share device data with the AI entity management system 16). The device data may include, but is not limited to, images and / or videos stored on or accessible to the patron mobile device 34, the GPS location of the patron mobile device 34, tracking data determined by the patron mobile device 34 (e.g., steps taken per day, average screen time, historical GPS data, etc.), and / or set preferences (e.g., larger text, color themes, special accessibility features enabled, etc.).

[0047] As mentioned above about Figure 1As described, in certain embodiments, the customer-specific AI entity system 32 may include a monitoring system 28 and / or a service desk 30. Although the following discussion describes the monitoring system 28 and the service desk 30 as separate components of the customer-specific AI entity system 32, these components may communicate with each other (e.g., as indicated by dashed lines) or be integrated into a single system (e.g., where the service desk 30 is part of the monitoring system 28). The monitoring system 28 may be a management system that monitors sensors 18 and campus features 12. For example, as described in more detail herein, the monitoring system 28 may monitor control signals sent from the AI entity management system 16 to change campus features 12 in response to the presence and identification of a specific customer 50. Specifically, the monitoring system 28 may ensure that the sensors 18 and campus features 12 are functioning as expected and / or provide customized interactions for the specific customer 50 as expected via the customer-specific AI entity 36.

[0048] Additionally, in some embodiments, if the AI entity management system 16 is not functioning as intended (e.g., generating erroneous control signals), the monitoring system 28 may control (e.g., instruct) and / or reconfigure the AI entity management system 16. For example, the monitoring system 28 may reset or recalibrate the sensors 18 and / or campus features 12 and / or override the control signals for the campus features 12 (e.g., as originally determined and / or instructed by the AI entity management system 16). In some embodiments, the monitoring system 28 and the AI entity management system 16 may be implemented as a single controller.

[0049] In certain embodiments, if the service desk 30 (which may include human and / or virtual service agents) finds any issues with the patron-specific AI entity 36 beyond those determined by the AI entity management system 16, the service desk 30 may stop (e.g., manually) activation (e.g., instruct, continue operation) of the patron-specific AI entity 36 via a stop system (e.g., a mechanism (e.g., a button, lever, dial, switch), a keyboard input, a touch screen input, a control panel input, an instruction (e.g., a code instruction (e.g., stored in a memory (e.g., memory 46)))) to override control signals from the AI entity management system 16. Because the patrons 50 may be tracked as described herein (e.g., such as via a patron wearable readable ID 19, 19A), the service desk 30 may monitor the activities of the patrons 50 and use this information to try to resolve unexpected delays or unexpected functions at the amusement park 10. By way of example, the tracked activity may indicate that the patron 50 attempted to ride a specific roller coaster but was stationary or substantially stationary at a roller coaster zone for a specific duration that exceeded a threshold duration, thereby indicating an unexpected delay or queue and / or unexpected performance of the roller coaster. In certain embodiments, based on the detected and / or determined unexpected activity, data indicating the unexpected activity, and / or data determined to be indicative of the unexpected activity, the monitoring system 28 and / or the AI entity management system 16 may send an alert to the service desk 30 and / or instruct the service desk 30 to resolve such an issue.

[0050] The communication circuitry 48 of the AI entity management system 16 may enable the AI entity management system 16 to interface with various electronic devices, such as the monitoring system 28, the service desk 30, the campus feature 12, and / or the customer mobile device 34. For example, in some embodiments, the monitoring system 28 and / or the service desk 30 may communicate with the AI entity management system 16 to receive and / or send information (as indicated by the double-headed arrows) to ensure that the AI entity management system 16 and / or the campus feature 12 are operating as expected. Additionally or alternatively, in some embodiments, the communication circuitry 48 may enable the AI entity management system 16 to interface with components of the campus feature 12. For example, the communication circuitry 48 may enable the AI entity management system 16 to be communicatively coupled to a network, such as a personal area network (PAN), a local area network (LAN), and / or a wide area network (WAN). In some embodiments, the communication circuitry 48 may be separate from the AI entity management system 16 (e.g., physically separate from it), but communicatively coupled to the AI entity management system 16.

[0051] In certain embodiments, the AI entity management system 16 may process data received from the sensor 18 via the input device 42, determine the presence of a specific customer 50 and identify the specific customer 50, determine and / or analyze customer data associated with the specific customer 50 (e.g., data associated with the corresponding user ID 52), determine modifications to the customer-specific AI entity 36 (e.g., modifications to the personality of the customer-specific AI entity 36 and other modifications), determine modifications to interactions via certain campus features 12 (e.g., activation, deactivation, customization and / or modification of functionality and / or outputs of the campus features 12) to facilitate a customized experience for the customer 50 (e.g., via simulation of the presence of the customer-specific AI entity 36, presentation of story-related aspects, etc.), and transmit instructions via the communication circuit 48 to implement modifications to interactions via the campus features 12 (e.g., activation, deactivation, customization and / or modification of functionality and / or outputs of the campus features 12). For example, after processing (e.g., analyzing) sensor data received via input device 42, processor 44 of AI entity management system 16 may determine instructions (e.g., control signals, control data) that instruct communication circuitry 48 and / or enable communication circuitry 48 to wirelessly transmit instructions (e.g., control signals, control data) to campus feature 12 to indicate and / or enable activation of a modification of interaction via campus feature 12. In some embodiments, campus feature 12 may include separate communication circuitry (e.g., transmitter, receiver, transceiver) to enable communication with communication circuitry 48. In other embodiments, communication circuitry 48 may be connected to campus feature 12 via a wired connection.

[0052] For example, as described in more detail herein, the detected activities of the patron 50 may relate to the movement of the patron 50 within the physical environment of the amusement park 10 (e.g., including physical gestures), the interaction of the patron 50 with certain attractions 14 of the amusement park 10, etc. However, in other embodiments, the detected activities of the patron 50 may relate to activities that do not occur within the amusement park 10. For example, in some embodiments, the patron 50 may be remotely located relative to the amusement park 10, but may still be considered a (e.g., remote) patron of the amusement park 10. Several non-limiting examples include patrons 50 interacting with the amusement park 10 from their homes via a remote application (e.g., running on a patron mobile device 34 associated with the patron 50 or other device (such as a set-top box or other device installed at some location to enable remote access to the amusement park 10)), patrons 50 interacting with the amusement park 10 from other remote locations relative to the amusement park 10 (e.g., hotel rooms, etc.) via a remote application (e.g., running on a patron mobile device 34 associated with the patron 50 or other device (such as a set-top box or other device installed at some location to enable remote access to the amusement park 10)), etc. In addition, in other embodiments, the detected activities of the patrons 50 may involve the interactions of the patrons 50 with a digital environment associated with the amusement park 10. Thus, while some patron experiences may occur within the amusement park 10, other patron experiences may occur away from the amusement park 10. A non-limiting list of examples may include virtual reality, augmented reality, a traditional living room experience with audio / video, an application experience, a living room light experience available only when tuned into the amusement park 10, a hotel experience as an extension of the out of window view, an extension of the amusement park 10 based outside of the park location, including pop-up, permanent, and mobile (e.g., bus, boat, car) modes.

[0053] In addition, as described in more detail herein, the analysis of data indicating activities of patrons 50 performed by the AI entity management system 16 may include: tracking interactions of patrons 50 with various attractions 14 and / or park features 12 of the amusement park 10; identifying certain types of activities (e.g., certain recognizable types of movements, e.g., gestures, such as hand movements, leg movements, head movements, whole body movements, voice inflection, and other perceptible actions); adjusting for the context of the identified types of activities (e.g., certain hand movements may have different meanings with respect to different attractions 14 and / or park features 12); determining whether the data indicating activities of patrons 50 is even relevant to a specific use; and the like.

[0054] The processor 44 of the AI entity management system 16 may include one or more processing devices that receive input signals related to the presence and / or identification of the customer 50 from the input device 42, which may then be used to determine modifications to the interaction via certain park features 12 (e.g., activation, deactivation, customization, and / or modification of the functionality of the park features 12) to facilitate a customized experience for the customer 50 using the techniques described herein (e.g., simulation of the presence of a customer-specific AI entity 36, presentation of story-related aspects, etc.). The memory 46 of the AI entity management system 16 may include one or more tangible, non-transitory machine-readable media. By way of example, such machine-readable media may include RAM, ROM, EPROM, EEPROM, or optical disk storage, magnetic disk storage, or other magnetic storage devices, or any other medium that can be used to carry or store the desired algorithm (e.g., program code) in the form of machine-executable instructions or data structures and can be accessed by the processor 44 of the AI entity management system 16 or by other processor-based devices. The processor 44 of the AI entity management system 16 may include a processing core for executing the machine-executable instruction algorithm stored in the memory 46 of the AI entity management system 16. The processor 44 of the AI entity management system 16 may also include a processor-side interface for software applications running on the processing core to interface with hardware components (such as the campus features 12 described herein). In some embodiments, the memory 46 of the AI entity management system 16 may store customer data corresponding to tracked customer activities and campus activities and / or corresponding to the preferences of customers 50 (e.g., through manual input from customers 50 and / or as determined by processing algorithms executed by the processor 44 of the AI entity management system 16). In some embodiments, the memory 46 of the AI entity management system 16 may tag the customer data with the corresponding user ID 52 before storing the customer data (e.g., attach the corresponding user ID 52) for subsequent retrieval. That is, in some embodiments, the AI entity management system 16 can retrieve data associated with the customer 50 by looking up the ID 52 and using the associated customer data.

[0055] By way of example, described herein (and Figure 1In an amusement park setting (illustrated in FIG. 1 ), the stored algorithms may include, but are not limited to, the following algorithms: algorithms for determining the presence of a customer based on sensor data from sensor 18, algorithms for identifying a specific customer 50 (e.g., by processing sensor data from cameras 18, 18B and performing facial recognition, processing sensor data from sound sensors (e.g., microphones) 18, 18E and performing sound input and voice recognition, and / or processing sensor data from readable IDs 19, 19A associated with user ID 52 of customer 50), algorithms for retrieving customer data for user ID 52, algorithms for determining modifications to interactions within amusement park 10 based on customer data (e.g., activation, deactivation, customization, and / or modification of functionality (e.g., output) of park features 12), and algorithms for providing modified images, sounds, lighting effects, actuation, or animation instructions (e.g., stored in memory 46) based on customer data (e.g., indicative of modifying customer information or preferences of one or more customer-specific AI entities 36 associated with customer 50). In this way, for example, when a specific customer 50 is within a predetermined range of a park feature 12, and / or when the customer 50 is determined to be oriented toward a park feature 12, the AI entity management system 16 can determine the presence of the specific customer 50 and control (e.g., instruct) the park feature 12 accordingly.

[0056] Additionally, in certain embodiments, the AI entity management system 16 may enable the patron-specific AI entity 36 to exist in a digital environment that is separate from (e.g., but may correspond (e.g., directly, indirectly) to) the physical environment of the amusement park 10, and to take digital actions within the digital environment based on the identity, details, personality traits, emotions, preferences, etc. of the particular patron-specific AI entity 36 (as determined by the AI entity management system 16 based on data collected about the activities of the corresponding patron 50 of the particular patron-specific AI entity 36 in the amusement park 10). Additionally, in such embodiments, as described in more detail herein, the location and / or actions of the patron-specific AI entity 36 within the digital environment (which may be separate from the location and / or actions of the corresponding patron 50 of the patron-specific AI entity 36 in the amusement park 10) may serve as a trigger source for physical interactions caused in the physical environment of the amusement park 10.

[0057] Therefore, as described in more detail herein, Figure 2 The customer specific AI entity system 32 shown in FIG. is configured to manage and Figure 1 A customer-specific AI entity 36 is associated with a specific customer 50 of the amusement park 10 shown in FIG. Figure 3 Yes Operation Figure 2Flowchart of method 56 of patron-specific AI entity system 32 of the amusement park 10. As shown, in some embodiments, method 56 includes detecting activity of one or more patrons 50 of the amusement park 10 via one or more patron activity detection devices (e.g., sensors 18 described herein) (block 58). Additionally, in some embodiments, method 56 includes sending data indicating the detected activity of one or more patrons 50 (e.g., via one or more patron activity detection devices, communication circuitry external to the patron activity detection devices (e.g., external communication circuitry communicatively coupled to the patron activity detection devices)) to, for example, AI entity management system 16 for analysis (block 60).

[0058] As described in more detail herein, in some embodiments, the detected activities of one or more patrons 50 may relate to the movement of one or more patrons 50 within the physical environment of the amusement park 10 (e.g., including physical gestures), the interaction of one or more patrons 50 with certain attractions 14 of the amusement park 10, etc. However, in other embodiments, the detected activities of one or more patrons 50 may relate to activities that do not occur within the amusement park 10. For example, in some embodiments, one or more patrons 50 may be remotely located relative to the amusement park 10, but may still be considered to be (e.g., remote) patrons of the amusement park 10. Several non-limiting examples include one or more patrons 50 interacting with the amusement park 10 from their homes via a remote application (e.g., running on a patron mobile device 34 associated with the one or more patrons 50 or other device (such as a set-top box or other device installed at some location to enable remote access to the amusement park 10)), one or more patrons 50 interacting with the amusement park 10 from other remote locations relative to the amusement park 10 (e.g., hotel rooms, etc.) via a remote application (e.g., running on a patron mobile device 34 associated with the one or more patrons 50 or other device (such as a set-top box or other device installed at some location to enable remote access to the amusement park 10)), etc. In addition, in other embodiments, the detected activity of one or more patrons 50 may relate to the interaction of one or more patrons 50 with a digital environment associated with the amusement park 10.

[0059] Additionally, in certain embodiments, the method 56 includes analyzing data indicating activity of the one or more patrons 50 (block 62) via the AI entity management system 16. For example, as described in greater detail herein, the analysis of the data indicating activity of the one or more patrons 50 may include: tracking the interaction of the one or more patrons 50 with various attractions 14 and / or park features 12 of the amusement park 10; identifying certain types of activity (e.g., certain recognizable types of movement, e.g., gestures, such as hand movements, leg movements, head movements, full body movements, voice inflections, and other perceptible actions); adjusting for the context of the identified types of activity (e.g., certain hand movements may have different meanings with respect to different attractions 14 and / or park features 12); determining whether the data indicating activity of the one or more patrons 50 is even relevant to a specific use; and the like.

[0060] Additionally, in certain embodiments, the method 56 also includes modifying, via the AI entity management system 16, one or more attributes of the one or more customer-specific AI entities 36 for corresponding customers 50 of the one or more customers 50 based at least in part on the analyzed data indicating the activity of each customer 50 of the one or more customers 50 (block 64). For example, as described in more detail herein, the one or more attributes of the one or more customer-specific AI entities 36 may include: the identity, character details, personality traits, emotions, preferences, etc. of the one or more customer-specific AI entities 36; the location of the one or more customer-specific AI entities 36 within the digital environment associated with the amusement park 10; the actions caused by the one or more customer-specific AI entities 36 in the physical environment of the amusement park 10 (e.g., via one or more park features 12); the actions caused by the one or more customer-specific AI entities 36 in the digital environment associated with the amusement park 10; and the like.

[0061] Additionally, in certain embodiments, the method 56 further includes instructing, via the one or more patron-specific AI entities 36, one or more park features 12 disposed within the physical environment of the amusement park 10 to modify the patron experience for one or more patrons 50 based on one or more attributes of the one or more patron-specific AI entities 36 (block 66). For example, as described in greater detail herein, the one or more patron-specific AI entities 36 may instruct the one or more park features 12 to present certain images and / or videos (e.g., including augmented reality and virtual reality images and / or videos), lighting effects, animated character movements, sounds, and the like to represent certain story elements, among other things.

[0062] As described in more detail herein, in certain embodiments, one or more patron activity detection devices for collecting data for analyzing the activities of one or more patrons 50 may include one or more proximity sensors 18, 18A configured to detect and / or determine the presence of one or more patrons 50 at a location within the physical environment of the amusement park 10. Additionally, in certain embodiments, one or more customer activity detection devices for collecting data for analyzing the activities of one or more customers 50 may include one or more cameras 18, 18B configured to: detect and / or determine the presence of a customer 50 and / or detect data indicating the presence of a customer 50 among one or more customers 50 at a location within the physical environment of the amusement park 10; determine the identity of a customer 50 among one or more customers 50 (e.g., based on the detected and / or determined presence of the customer 50 and / or data indicating the detected and / or determined presence of the customer 50); send the data indicating the presence of the existing customer 50 to the AI entity management system 16 and / or other control systems (e.g., controller, processor), wherein the AI entity management system 16 and / or other control systems may use the data indicating the presence of the customer 50 to determine the presence to determine the presence and / or identity of the customer 50 among one or more customers 50; or some combination thereof. Additionally, in certain embodiments, one or more patron activity detection devices for collecting data for analyzing the activities of one or more patrons 50 may include one or more electronic readers 18, 18C configured to detect and / or determine the presence of one or more readable IDs 19, 19A associated with one or more patrons 50 at locations within the physical environment of the amusement park 10. Additionally, in certain embodiments, one or more customer activity detection devices for collecting data for analyzing the activities of one or more customers 50 may include a force sensor (e.g., a weight sensor) 18, 18D configured to: detect and / or determine the presence of a customer 50 and / or data indicating the presence of a customer 50 among one or more customers 50 at a location within the physical environment of the amusement park 10; send data indicating the presence of a customer 50 to the AI entity management system 16 and / or other control systems (e.g., a controller, a processor), wherein the AI entity management system 16 and / or other control systems may use the data indicating the presence of a customer 50 to determine the presence to determine the presence of a customer 50 among one or more customers 50; or some combination thereof.Additionally, in certain embodiments, one or more customer activity detection devices for collecting data for analyzing the activities of one or more customers 50 may include one or more sound sensors (e.g., microphones) 18, 18E, wherein the one or more sound sensors 18 are configured to: detect sounds generated by a customer 50 among one or more customers 50; send data indicating the presence of a customer 50 to the AI entity management system 16 and / or other control systems (e.g., controller, processor), wherein the AI entity management system 16 and / or other control systems may use the data indicating the presence of a customer 50 to determine the presence to determine the presence of a customer 50 among one or more customers 50; or some combination thereof.

[0063] Additionally, in certain embodiments, one or more park features 12 that may be indicated by the AI entity management system 16 may include one or more displays 12, 12A configured to display a customer-specific AI entity 36 of the one or more customer-specific AI entities 36. Additionally, in certain embodiments, one or more park features 12 that may be activated by the AI entity management system 16 may include a lighting effects system 12, 12B configured to generate light associated with a customer-specific AI entity 36 of the one or more customer-specific AI entities 36. Additionally, in certain embodiments, one or more park features 12 that may be activated by the AI entity management system 16 may include one or more animated characters 12, 12C configured to simulate the presence of a customer-specific AI entity 36 of the one or more customer-specific AI entities 36 (e.g., via actuation, audio, video lighting, other effects). Additionally, in certain embodiments, one or more campus features 12 that may be activated by the AI entity management system 16 may include a sound effects system 12, 12D configured to generate sounds associated with a customer-specific AI entity 36 in one or more customer-specific AI entities 36.

[0064] In addition, as described in more detail herein, in certain embodiments, the AI entity management system 16 may be configured to: simulate the activities of one or more customer-specific AI entities 36 within a digital environment that is separate from (e.g., but may correspond to) the physical environment of the amusement park 10; and indicate that one or more park features 12 positioned within the physical environment of the amusement park 10 simulate the presence of one or more customer-specific AI entities 36 in the physical environment of the amusement park 10. Figure 4 Yes Operation Figure 2Flowchart of method 68 of customer-specific AI entity system 32 of amusement park 10. As shown, in some embodiments, method 68 includes maintaining (e.g., storing it in memory, indicating updates to it, indicating customizations to it) one or more customer-specific AI entities 36 associated with one or more customers 50 of amusement park 10 via AI entity management system 16 (block 70).

[0065] Additionally, in certain embodiments, method 68 includes simulating, via AI entity management system 16, the location and / or actions of patron-specific AI entities 36 within the digital environment (block 72). For example, AI entity management system 16 or a separate control system (e.g., controller, processor) may simulate the digital environment and / or direct a simulation of the digital environment (e.g., create and / or update the digital environment (e.g., virtual locations and / or virtual features within the digital environment) to correspond to (e.g., mimic, represent, create output to look similar or resemble) locations and / or features within a physical environment (e.g., the physical environment of amusement park 10)). AI entity management system 16 or a separate control system (e.g., controller, processor) may simulate actions of patron-specific AI entities 36 within the digital environment (e.g., direct patron-specific AI entities 36 to move around the digital environment separately from the movements of patrons associated with the physical environment of amusement park 10, act as a triggering source for actions within the physical environment of amusement park 10 corresponding to the location of patron-specific AI entities 36 and / or actions of patron-specific AI entities 36 within the digital environment (e.g., which corresponds to the physical environment of amusement park 10), etc.

[0066] Additionally, in some embodiments, the method 68 further includes instructing, via the AI entity management system 16, one or more park features 12 disposed within the physical environment of the amusement park 10 to simulate the presence of one or more customer-specific AI entities 36 in the physical environment of the amusement park 10 based on the location and / or actions of the one or more customer-specific AI entities 36 in the digital environment (block 74). Additionally, in some embodiments, the AI entity management system 16 may simulate the location and / or actions of one or more customer-specific AI entities 36 in the digital environment based at least in part on the activities of one or more customers 50 in the physical environment of the amusement park 10 detected and / or determined by one or more customer activity detection devices (e.g., sensors 18 described herein). Additionally, the customer-specific AI entities 36 may learn from the activities of their associated customers 50 and may interact with the digital environment in a manner that the customer-specific AI entities 36 are taught to think will be consistent with the behavior of their associated customers. As just one non-limiting example, Google Maps and other online mapping platforms may represent a version of a digital parallel world that directly corresponds to the real physical world. In some embodiments, the customer-specific AI entities 36 may move around Google Maps and have global positioning system (GPS) coordinates associated with the physical world. This GPS location of the customer-specific AI entity 36 can serve as a trigger source for a virtual sensor (e.g., a sensor in the digital world) that can affect the physical world or initiate a simulated interaction with the real world. Of course, the digital world is not constrained by the physical world, but can have representative constraints, parallel constraints, non-relational constraints (e.g., constraints that are not part of the physical world), partially represent real-world constraints, or attempt to be fully constrained by the physical world.

[0067] Additionally, in certain embodiments, a trigger source for indicating the presence of one or more customer-specific AI entities 36 in the physical environment of the amusement park 10 that simulates one or more park features 12 placed within the physical environment of the amusement park 10 may include one or more gestures (e.g., hand movements, leg movements, head movements, whole body movements, voice pitch changes, and other perceptible actions) performed by one or more customers 50 within the digital environment described above or within the physical environment of the amusement park 10.

[0068] like Figure 5, in some embodiments, the one or more attributes of the one or more customer-specific AI entities 36 may include an identity 76 of the one or more customer-specific AI entities 36, one or more details 78 about the one or more customer-specific AI entities 36, one or more personality traits 80 of the one or more customer-specific AI entities 36, emotions 82 of the one or more customer-specific AI entities 36, one or more preferences 84 of the one or more customer-specific AI entities 36, or some combination thereof. For example, the identity 76 of a particular customer-specific AI entity 36 may be a particular, relatively well-known themed character, such as for a particular themed zone of the amusement park 10. In some embodiments, the patrons 50 may select a particular character that they would like to follow them throughout their visit to the amusement park 10 and / or to a particular themed zone of the amusement park 10 as a patron-specific AI entity 36, or a particular character may be automatically selected as a patron-specific AI entity 36 for a particular patron 50 by the AI entity management system 16, for example, based on the tracked activities of the patrons 50 (e.g., the patrons 50 show a particular affinity for the particular character, the patrons 50 show a fear of the particular character, etc.). It will be appreciated that a particular themed character may have details 78 specific to the themed character (e.g., backstory details, origin, faction alliances, friends, enemies, goals, motivations, etc.). Additionally, whether a particular customer-specific AI entity 36 is a particular relatively well-known themed character or a completely customized character, the particular customer-specific AI entity 36 may have specific personality traits 80, such as happy, sad, humorous, gentle, brave, timid, passive, aggressive, aggressive, obedient, mean, kind, sarcastic, courteous, etc. Additionally, a particular customer-specific AI entity 36 may have specific emotions 82, which are substantially similar to the personality traits 80, but which are more transient in nature relative to the more permanent personality traits 80. Additionally, a particular customer-specific AI entity 36 may have specific preferences 84, such as activities they enjoy participating in, areas of the amusement park 10 they prefer, other themed characters they have an affinity or aversion to, and the like.

[0069] In general, the patron-specific AI entities 36 described herein may learn certain attributes over time based on the activities of their associated patrons 50 with respect to the amusement park 10, such that the patron-specific AI entities 36 evolve (e.g., change, be modified) over time. However, in certain embodiments, the patrons 50 may interact with the AI entity management system 16 to prevent certain patron-specific AI entities 36 from further learning, such as locking in (e.g., preventing it from changing, partially preventing it from changing) a particularly nostalgic patron-specific AI entity 36 having a particularly desirable set of attributes. Additionally, in certain embodiments, the patrons 50 may interact with the AI entity management system 16 (e.g., instruct the AI entity management system 16) to save copies of such specific versions of the patron-specific AI entities 36 so that the patrons 50 may utilize them and, in fact, further train them during future visits to the amusement park 10.

[0070] Figure 6 10 illustrates a non-limiting example of how the patron-specific AI entities described herein may be manifested as patrons 50 move around amusement park 10. For example, Figure 6 The display 12, 12A on which a character (e.g., Joker 86, other characters) may be presented is shown. As described in more detail herein, based on the attributes of a particular customer-specific AI entity 36 (see e.g., Figure 5 ), when a customer 50 associated with a specific customer-specific AI entity 36 is detected and / or determined to be moving in a relatively close proximity (e.g., within a threshold range thereof) toward the display 12, 12A (e.g., via one or more proximity sensors 18, 18A and / or one or more cameras 18, 18B), the specific customer-specific AI entity 36 may manifest itself by controlling (e.g., directing, modifying) one or more aspects of the clown 86 presented via the display 12, 12A. The one or more aspects that the customer-specific AI entity 36 may control may include, but are not limited to, animations of the clown 86, dialogues of the clown 86, special visual and / or audio effects associated with the clown 86, and the like. For example, if the customer data for the specific customer indicates that the specific customer 50 has a fear of clowns, the clown 86 may be caused by the AI entity management system 16 to speak in a relatively menacing manner in the general direction of the specific customer 50.
