[0036] Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings. In the following description, the elements already described are denoted by the same reference numerals, and description thereof is omitted.

[0037] Figure 1 is a structural diagram of an inspection and sorting device 100 according to the present invention, and Figure 2 It is specifically shown with Figure 1 Diagram of the structures associated with the sorting function in .

[0038] The inspection and sorting device 100 includes a conveying unit 110, an electromagnetic wave irradiation unit 120, an electromagnetic wave detection unit 130, an inspection unit 140, a gas supply unit 150, a gas distribution unit 160, an injection control unit 170, a gas injection unit 180, a communication unit 190 and a sorting control unit 200.

[0039] The conveying unit 110 is used to convey the placed inspection object W along a predetermined conveying direction (along Figure 1 Any kind of conveyor that transports in the Y-axis direction. Figure 1 When viewed from the front, the conveying unit 110 is arranged in a width direction ( Figure 1 The inspection object W is generally placed at one of the plurality of placement positions divided by the conveying unit 110 in the width direction with equal width and conveyed, or placed on two or more consecutive placement positions and conveyed. The number of placement positions can be appropriately determined according to the size of the inspection object W, the arrangement of the detection elements in the electromagnetic wave detection unit 130, the arrangement of the gas injection unit 180, and other factors.

[0040] The electromagnetic wave irradiation unit 120 irradiates the inspection object W transported by the transport unit 110 with predetermined electromagnetic waves. The irradiated electromagnetic waves may be selected according to the nature of the inspection, for example, X-rays, visible light, infrared rays, and the like.

[0041] The electromagnetic wave detection unit 130 is provided at a position where it can detect the electromagnetic wave irradiated from the electromagnetic wave irradiation unit 120 and passing through the inspection object W. Figure 1, an example is shown in which the electromagnetic wave detection unit is positioned opposite to the electromagnetic wave irradiation unit 120 so as to be able to detect electromagnetic waves transmitted through the inspection object W. The electromagnetic wave detection unit 130 includes a plurality of detection elements arranged along the width direction of the conveying unit 110, each detection element detects electromagnetic waves reaching or directly reaching through the inspection object W, and outputs detection data at each predetermined periodic period.

[0042] The number of arranged detection elements is, for example, a number corresponding to the length in the width direction of the inspection object W placed on the conveying unit 110. The period in which each detection element detects electromagnetic waves and accumulates and outputs detection data may be, for example, the time required to pass through the width of the detection element in the conveying direction at the conveying speed of the conveying unit 110. By setting the number of arranged units and the detection period in this way, the inspection objects W that pass through the electromagnetic wave detection unit 130 one by one can be inspected without omission.

[0043] Detection of electromagnetic waves at each placement position in the conveyor unit 110 is performed by a detection element group consisting of a number of detection elements obtained by dividing the number of detection elements arranged in the width direction of the conveyor unit 110 by the number of placement positions in the conveyor unit 110 . Figure 2 An example is shown in which there are eight placement positions, and in this case, each of the eight detection element groups L1 to L8 is responsible for detecting electromagnetic waves passing through the inspection object W being transported at the corresponding placement position among the eight placement positions. For example, if the total number of detection elements in the width direction is 128, each of the eight detection element groups L1 to L8 is composed of 16 detection elements.

[0044] The inspection unit 140 inspects the detection data periodically output from the respective detection element groups of the electromagnetic wave detection unit 130 , and identifies whether there is an abnormality in the detection data of any detection element group.

[0045] The gas supply unit 150 is a gas supply source that supplies the gas to be ejected from the gas ejection unit 180. The kind of gas is arbitrary as long as the gas does not cause problems to the inspection object W or the installation environment.

[0046] The gas distribution unit 160 is a manifold that distributes the gas supplied at the inlet from the gas supply unit 150 to a plurality of discharge ports. If it is desired to perform sorting at each placement position of the conveying unit 110, the gas should be distributed to a plurality of placement positions.

[0047] The injection control unit 170 is a valve installed in each path to a plurality of outlets of the gas distribution unit 160 for controlling injection of gas from the outlets. As described later, the valve operation is controlled by the sorting control unit 200. Figure 2An example is shown in which there are eight placement positions in the conveying unit 110. The injection control units 170a to 170h are provided on respective paths to the eight discharge ports 160a to 160h of the gas distribution unit 160.

[0048] The gas injection unit 180 is a nozzle that injects gas and is disposed downstream of the electromagnetic wave detection unit 130 in the conveying direction, and the same number of gas injection units 180 as the number of gas distribution units 160 are arranged along the width direction of the conveying unit 110 . Figure 2 An example of the arrangement arrangement of the gas ejection unit 180 is shown in the case where there are eight placement positions in the conveying unit 110. The gas ejection units 180a to 180h are respectively provided downstream in the conveying direction of the detection element groups L1 to L8 of the electromagnetic wave detection unit 130.

[0049] The gas outlet of the gas injection unit 180 is disposed at a position and direction such that when the inspection object W conveyed by the conveying unit 110 arrives and gas is injected, the injected gas hits the inspection object W and provides a sufficient change in the traveling direction for sorting.

[0050] As a structure for sorting by gas injection, for example Figure 1 As shown, a structure for performing sorting by jetting gas from the end of the conveying unit 110 in the conveying direction toward the inspection object W that is falling to change the landing position can be cited. Specifically, for example, an "OK" box is installed at a position where the inspection object W is thrown horizontally at a conveying speed along the conveying direction from the end of the conveying unit 110 in the conveying direction, gradually falls, and lands without jetting gas, and an "NG" box is placed at a position where the object will land with the jetting of gas. The position of the "NG" box is determined according to the position and direction of the gas outlet of the gas jet unit 180. Figure 1 An example is shown where the gas outlet is directed straight downward.

[0051] When the gas is ejected at an appropriate timing from the gas outlet thus provided and the gas hits the falling inspection object W, the traveling direction of the inspection object W is changed to a straight downward direction, and the inspection object W finally falls into the "NG" box placed at the position where the inspection object W will land. That is, the inspection object W reaching the end of the conveying direction of the conveying unit 110 can be sorted in the following manner: if the gas is not ejected, the inspection object W falls into the "OK" box, and if the gas is ejected, the inspection object W falls into the "NG" box placed closer to the end in the conveying direction than the "OK" box.

[0052] As another structure for sorting by gas injection, for example Figure 3 As shown, a conveying unit 115 is arranged downstream of the end of the conveying direction of the conveying unit 110 in such a manner that there is a gap and a step difference through which the inspection object W can pass, and a gas is sprayed toward the inspection object W that is falling in the gap to sort the inspection object W. Specifically, at a position where the inspection object W conveyed by the conveying unit 110 falls from the end of the conveying direction of the conveying unit 110 and lands, the conveying unit 115 is arranged to transport the landed inspection object W in a certain direction. The position and direction of the gas outlet are arranged so that as the sprayed gas hits the inspection object W, the traveling direction of the inspection object is directed toward the gap between the conveying unit 110 and the conveying unit 115.

[0053] When the gas is ejected at an appropriate timing from the gas outlet thus provided and the gas hits the falling inspection object W, the traveling direction of the inspection object W is changed toward the gap, and the inspection object W falls into a receiving tray or the like (not shown in the figure) located outside the gap. That is, the inspection object W reaching the end of the conveying direction of the conveying unit 110 can be sorted in the following manner: if the gas is not ejected, the inspection object W falls on the conveying unit 115 and continues to be conveyed, and if the gas is ejected, the inspection object W falls into a receiving tray or the like.

[0054] In order to separately continue to convey the inspection object W that has undergone a change in traveling direction due to the impact of the injected gas, another conveying unit (not shown in the drawings) may be provided at a position where the inspection object W that has undergone a change in traveling direction falls.

[0055] The communication unit 190 is a passage that connects the exhaust port of the gas distribution unit 160 with the gas injection unit 180 one-to-one, thereby guiding the gas distributed by the gas distribution unit 160 to the gas injection unit 180 so that the gas can be injected. Figure 2 In the example of FIG. 1 , each of the exhaust ports 160 a to 160 h and each of the gas ejection units 180 a to 180 h are connected by the connecting units 190 a to 190 h. As a material used for the connecting unit 190, a hose or tube of vinyl chloride, silicone rubber, or polyurethane resin is suitable because the gas can pass through the hose or tube and the gas ejection unit 180 can be flexibly arranged.

[0056] The sorting control unit 200 identifies the object to be sorted based on the inspection result of the inspection object W in the inspection unit 140, and controls the injection control unit 170 to inject gas from the gas injection unit 180 at the timing when the object to be sorted passes through the gas injection unit 180. The object to be sorted in the present invention means the inspection object W that has been subjected to the gas injection from the gas injection unit 180 based on the inspection result. Therefore, it can be arbitrarily decided whether the inspection object W with abnormal inspection result or the inspection object with normal inspection result should be the object to be sorted. In the following description, it is assumed that the inspection object W with abnormal inspection result is the object to be sorted.

[0057] Specifically, for example, in Figure 2 When there are eight placement positions in the conveying unit 110 shown, in the case where there is an abnormality in the detection data for a certain detection cycle in the detection element group L5 of the electromagnetic wave detection unit 130, the sorting control unit 200 identifies the inspection object W located at the position where the transmitted electromagnetic wave is detected in the detection element group L5 of the electromagnetic wave detection unit 130 during the detection cycle as the object to be sorted. Then, the object to be sorted will reach the position of the gas injection unit 180e corresponding to the detection element group L5 after a time period specified according to the conveying speed of the conveying unit 110 and the distance from the electromagnetic wave detection unit 130 to the gas injection unit 180, and at this timing, the injection control unit 170 is controlled to cause the gas injection unit 180 to inject gas. Thereby, the injected gas can hit the object to be sorted and change its traveling direction.

[0058] In the inspection and sorting device 100 configured as described above, the injection control unit 170 and the gas injection unit 180 are connected via the communication unit 190 and are not integrally configured, so the arrangement of the gas injection unit 180 is not constrained by the arrangement of the injection control unit 170. Therefore, the arrangement of the gas injection unit 180 can be flexibly configured. Generally, the width of the injection control unit 170 as a valve is wider than the width of the gas injection unit 180 as a nozzle, but according to the structure of the present invention, as shown in FIG. Figure 4 As shown, for example, the total width of the gas injection units 180a to 180h may be narrower than the total width of the injection control units 170a to 170h, thus allowing greater flexibility in the structure of the device.

[0059] The inspection and sorting device may further include a position adjustment unit 185 that supports a plurality of gas injection units 180 in such a manner that the positions of the gas injection units 180 can be adjusted. The position adjustment may include, for example, at least the adjustment of the conveying direction (Y-axis direction), the width direction (X-axis direction), the height direction (Z-axis direction), the injection angle, etc. The position adjustment may be configured so that the position can be adjusted manually, or a drive mechanism may be provided. Figure 5 (a) to Figure 5 (c) shows an example of the structure of the position adjustment unit 185. Figure 5 (a) shows an example in which the positions of the plurality of gas injection units 180 can be adjusted as a whole. Figure 5 (b) shows an example in which the positions of the plurality of gas injection units 180 may be adjusted integrally for each of the plurality of gas injection units 180 divided into two or more groups. Figure 5 (c) shows an example in which the positions of the gas injection units 180 can be adjusted. By providing the position adjustment unit 185, the positions of the plurality of gas injection units 180 can be changed according to the size and shape of the inspection object W.

[0060] In addition, the injection control unit 170 and the gas injection unit 180 are not integrally assembled but connected via the communication unit 190. This makes it possible, for example, Figure 6 As shown, the same number of injection control units 170 and gas injection units 180a to 180h are arranged in different numbers of rows, wherein the gas injection units 180a to 180h are arranged in one row, and the injection control units 170a to 170h are arranged in two rows. Therefore, in a case where the width of the device must be increased because the injection control units 170 are wide, even if the conveying unit 110 and the gas injection unit 180 can be configured with a narrow width, the increase in the width of the device can be avoided by arranging the injection control units 170 in a larger number of rows than the number of rows in which the gas injection units 180 are arranged. In this case, from the viewpoint of avoiding the complexity of the control using the sorting control unit 200, it is desirable that the lengths of the connecting units 190 are substantially the same. For example, in the case of two rows of injection control units 170a to 170h, instead of simply dividing them into injection control units 170a to 170d and injection control units 170e to 170h, as shown in FIG. Figure 6 As shown, the injection control units may be arranged such that the gas injection units 180a to 180h are provided in such a manner that the communication units are alternated with respect to each row of the injection control units.

[0061] In addition, a function for notifying the gas injection from each gas injection unit 180 may also be provided. For example, the function may be directly provided in the gas injection unit 180, or provided in the injection control unit 170 corresponding to the gas injection unit 180. A notification unit (not shown) may also be provided for receiving information indicating the gas injection from the injection control unit 170 or the gas injection unit 180 and providing notification. The method of notification is arbitrary, and may be, for example, by lighting of a lamp or an alarm sound. In the case of using a lamp, specifically, for example, a lamp may be provided in each injection control unit 170 or each gas injection unit 180, and the lamp may be lit during the gas injection, or a lamp corresponding to each gas injection unit 180 may be provided on the housing or the notification unit of the inspection and sorting device 100, and the lamp may be lit during the gas injection. By providing such a notification function, it becomes easier to recognize whether the gas is injected from each gas injection unit 180 and to confirm the normality of the operation.

[0062] In the inspection and sorting device 100 of the present application, unlike the conventional device, the gas distribution unit 160 and the gas injection unit 180 are separated, so measures can be taken to place the gas distribution unit 160, the injection control unit 170 and the sorting control unit 200 in a space separated from the communication unit 190 and the gas injection unit 180. For example, Figure 7 As shown, the gas distribution unit 160, the injection control unit 170, and the sorting control unit 200 can be sealed by enclosing the gas distribution unit 160, the injection control unit 170, and the sorting control unit 200 in the partially opened partition wall 10, thereby covering the opening with a cover on the side of the gas distribution unit 160 to which the communication unit 190 is attached, and filling the gap between the gas distribution unit 160 and the partition wall 10 with a filler 11. Thus, by sealing the control mechanisms such as the gas distribution unit 160, the injection control unit 170, and the sorting control unit 200 and placing them in a space where moisture, dust, or liquid cannot or is unlikely to enter from the outside, it is possible to prevent the deterioration of the control function and the occurrence of malfunctions.

[0063] The present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiments. The above-mentioned embodiments are examples, and any embodiment having a structure substantially the same as the technical concept described in the claims of the present invention and achieving similar effects is included in the technical scope of the present invention. In other words, it can be appropriately changed within the scope of the technical idea expressed in the present invention, and the form with such changes and improvements is also included in the technical scope of the present invention.

[0064] For example, in the inspection and sorting device 100, the gas supply unit 150, the gas distribution unit 160, the injection control unit 170, the gas injection unit 180, the position adjustment unit 185 and the communication unit 190 as a sorting mechanism can be configured as an independent sorting device and can be used in combination with other inspection devices.
