The method comprises: sending a status read instruction to an ESIM module upon device startup and receiving a first status in return; sending a positioning read instruction to a GNSS positioning module when the first status indicates an empty card and receiving a first longitude and latitude in return; selecting a number based on the first longitude and latitude and a seed number library to obtain a corresponding first card writing script and PLMN+APN; logging in to the network when the ESIM module successfully writes a card based on the first card writing script; sending an over-the-air number registration request carrying the PLMN+APN to a remote server when the registration is successful and receiving a second card writing script in return; and restarting the device when the ESIM module successfully writes a card based on the second card writing script. The present invention can improve number selection and registration efficiency while also balancing the use of seed numbers.
