[0042] Hereinafter, embodiments of the vehicle light guide and vehicle lamp unit of the present invention will be described based on the accompanying drawings. In addition, the present invention is not limited to the embodiments. In addition, the constituent elements in the following embodiments include elements that can be and are easily replaced by those skilled in the art, or substantially the same elements. In the following description, the front and rear, up and down, left and right directions are directions in the vehicle mounting state when the vehicle headlamp is mounted on the vehicle, and indicate the directions when observing the direction of travel of the vehicle from the driver's seat. In addition, in the present embodiment, the up and down direction is parallel to the vertical direction, and the left and right direction is a horizontal direction.
[0043] Figure 1 1 is a top view showing an example of a vehicle lamp 100 according to the present embodiment. The vehicle lamp 100 can emit a low beam pattern P1 (see FIG. 1 ) described later toward the front of the vehicle. Fig. 9 ). The vehicle lamp 100 includes a light source 10 and a vehicle light guide 20. In addition, the vehicle lamp 100 may also be a structure that further includes other units including a light source, a reflector, a lampshade, a projection lens, etc. In the following, in this embodiment, the structure of the vehicle lamp 100 mounted on a vehicle traveling on a left-hand traffic road is described as an example.
[0044] [light source]
[0045] In the present embodiment, the light source 10 uses, for example, a semiconductor light source such as an LED, an OLED (organic EL), a laser light source, etc. The light emitting surface 11 is arranged opposite to the incident surface 21 of the vehicle light guide 20 described later. The light emitting surface 11 is arranged in a state facing the vehicle light guide 20. In the present embodiment, a plurality of light sources 10, for example, four light sources, are arranged in the left-right direction. In addition, the number of light sources 10 is not limited to four, and can be three or less, or five or more.
[0046] [Light guide for vehicles]
[0047] The vehicle light guide 20 guides the light from the light source 10 and emits it forward in the vehicle mounted state. The vehicle light guide 20 of the present embodiment is a structure in which the functions corresponding to the reflector, the lampshade, the projection lens, etc. in the conventional projection type vehicle headlamp are concentrated. The vehicle light guide 20 includes a light-concentrating light guide 20A and a light-diffusing light guide 20B. In the following description of the vehicle light guide 20, the light-concentrating light guide 20A and the light-diffusing light guide 20B are sometimes described separately.
[0048] Figure 2A as well as Figure 2B It means along Figure 1 Figure 2 shows the structure of the AA section. Figure 2A 20A shows the structure of the light-concentrating light guide body. Figure 2B 2B shows the structure of the diffusion light guide 20B. Figure 1 as well as Figure 2A , 2B As shown, the vehicle light guide 20 includes an incident surface 21 , a first reflecting surface 22 , a second reflecting surface 23 , a light shielding portion 24 , an inner reflecting surface 25 , and an emitting surface 26 .
[0049] [Incident surface]
[0050] The incident surface 21 is provided for each of the multiple light sources 10, for example. In addition, the incident surface 21 may be provided at a position that does not correspond one-to-one to the light source 10. For example, a structure in which multiple incident surfaces 21 are provided for one light source 10 may be provided. The multiple incident surfaces 21 are arranged in the left-right direction in the vehicle-mounted state. The incident surface 21 is formed in, for example, a truncated cone shape. In the present embodiment, for example, four incident surfaces 21 are provided. In addition, the diameter of the incident surface 21 arranged on the outer side in the left-right direction may also be smaller than the diameter of the incident surface 21 arranged on the central side in the left-right direction. In the present embodiment, the diameters of the two incident surfaces 21 arranged on the outer side in the left-right direction are smaller than the diameters of the two incident surfaces 21 arranged on the central side in the left-right direction.
[0051] In this embodiment, the focusing light guide 20A of the vehicle light guide 20 allows light from the light source 10 to enter two incident surfaces 21 arranged at the center in the horizontal direction. In addition, the diffusing light guide 20B allows light to enter two incident surfaces 21 arranged at the outer sides in the horizontal direction.
[0052] like Figure 2A as well as Figure 2B As shown, each incident surface 21 has a first surface 21a and a second surface 21b. Light from the light source 10 is incident on the first surface 21a and the second surface 21b. The first surface 21a is opposite to the light-emitting surface 11. The first surface 21a is, for example, a convex surface protruding toward the light source 10, but may also be a flat surface. The second surface 21b is arranged on the side of the light source 10, and is arranged in a cylindrical surface shape in a manner of surrounding the light-emitting surface 11 of the light source 10 and the first surface 21a.
[0053] [First reflection surface]
[0054] The first reflection surface 22 performs internal surface reflection on the light incident from the incident surface 21. The first reflection surface 22 is configured in a manner to surround the second surface 21b of the incident surface 21, and reflects the light incident from the second surface 21b toward the second reflection surface 23. In the present embodiment, the first reflection surface 22 is provided corresponding to the incident surface 21. A plurality of first reflection surfaces 22 are arranged in the left-right direction in the vehicle-mounted state. The plurality of first reflection surfaces 22 include a reflection surface for a focusing pattern and a reflection surface for a diffusion pattern. For example, the two first reflection surfaces 22 arranged on the central side in the left-right direction can be used as a reflection surface for a focusing pattern, and the two first reflection surfaces 22 arranged on both sides in the left-right direction can be used as a reflection surface for a diffusion pattern.
[0055] The first reflecting surface 22 has a first rear region 22a and a first front region 22b. The first rear region 22a is arranged at the rear relative to the light source 10. In the present embodiment, the first rear region 22a is arranged at the rear in the front-to-back direction relative to the optical axis AX of the light source 10, for example. The first front region 22b is arranged at the front relative to the light source 10. In the present embodiment, the first front region 22b is arranged at the front relative to the optical axis AX, for example.
[0056] [Second reflection surface]
[0057] The second reflecting surface 23 has a shape based on a parabola of rotation. A portion of the second reflecting surface 23 has a focus P that is consistent or substantially consistent with the focus of the parabola of rotation. The focus P is arranged at a position near the focus of the emission surface 26 described later. The second reflecting surface 23 reflects the light from the first reflecting surface 22 toward the focus P side, that is, the front of the vehicle. The second reflecting surface 23 has an axis that is parallel or substantially parallel to the optical axis of the light reflected by the first reflecting surface 22, and performs internal surface reflection of the light toward the focus P side of the parabola of rotation.
[0058] The second reflection surface 23 includes a focusing pattern forming area configured to correspond to the focusing pattern reflection surface of the first reflection surface 22 and a diffusion pattern forming area configured to correspond to the diffusion pattern reflection surface of the first reflection surface 22. The focusing pattern forming area is configured at the center of the second reflection surface 23 in the left-right direction. The diffusion pattern forming area is configured to the outside in the left-right direction relative to the focusing pattern forming area in the second reflection surface 23. The focusing pattern forming area is configured, for example, at the center in the left-right direction, and performs internal surface reflection on the light from the first reflection surface 22 in a manner passing through the focal point P and the vicinity of the focal point P. The diffusion pattern forming area performs internal surface reflection on the light from the first reflection surface 22 in a manner passing through a position that includes the focal point P and is offset to the outside in the horizontal direction relative to the focal point P in the vehicle-mounted state. The diffusion pattern forming area is configured to correspond to the diffusion pattern reflection surface in the plurality of first reflection surfaces 22.
[0059] The maximum value α of the angle between the light reflected by the second reflecting surface 23 toward the focal point P and the horizontal plane is smaller than the maximum value of the angle between the light reflected by the so-called projection type reflector and the horizontal plane. Therefore, the light reflected by the second reflecting surface 23 reaches the focal point P at a shallower angle than the light reflected by the projection type reflector.
[0060] [Light shielding part]
[0061] The light shielding portion 24 shields a portion of the light reflected by the second reflecting surface 23. The light shielding portion 24 is provided at the front end (corner 20g) of the inner surface reflecting surface 25 described later. When the vehicle light guide 20 is viewed from the outside (from below), the corner 20g is concave. The corner 20g extends in a straight line or a curved state in the left-right direction. The light shielding portion 24 forms a cut-off line CL of the light-concentrating pattern PA1 and the diffusion pattern PB1 described later at the corner 20g (see FIG. 20 ). Figure 7 , Figure 8 ). The cut-off lines CL include horizontal cut-off lines CLa and CLc and inclined cut-off lines CLb and CLd.
[0062] The light shielding portion 24 is provided in a region including the corner portion 20g. The light shielding portion 24 may shield light by, for example, refracting light reaching the light shielding portion 24 in a direction different from the direction of the emission surface 26 or reflecting the light on the inner surface, or may shield light by absorbing light by arranging a light absorbing layer in a portion of the inner surface reflection surface 25 including the corner portion 20g corresponding to the light shielding portion 24. In addition, the light reflected or refracted on the inner surface by the light shielding portion 24 is emitted to the outside of the vehicle light guide 20 and absorbed by an inner shell or the like arranged outside the vehicle light guide 20.
[0063] Figure 3A as well as Figure 3B It is a cross-sectional view showing an example of the light shielding portion 24 . Figure 3A It is along Figure 2A The structure of the BB cross section in FIG. 1 represents the light shielding portion 24 (hereinafter referred to as the light shielding portion 24A) of the light-converging light guide 20A. Figure 3B It is along Figure 2B The CC cross-sectional structure in FIG. 1 represents the light shielding portion 24 (hereinafter referred to as the light shielding portion 24B) of the diffusion light guide 20B. Figure 3A As shown in FIG. 2 , in the light-collecting light guide 20A, the corner portion 20g has a horizontal portion 20La for forming a horizontal cut-off line CLa and an inclined portion 20Lb for forming an inclined cut-off line CLb. Figure 3B As shown, in the diffusion light guide 20B, the corner portion 20g has a horizontal portion 20Lc for forming a horizontal cut-off line CLc and an inclined portion 20Ld for forming an inclined cut-off line CLd.
[0064] like Figure 3A as well as Figure 3B As shown, the light shielding portion 24B of the diffusion light guide 20B is longer in length than the light shielding portion 24A of the focusing light guide 20A, in the inclined portion 20Ld extending from the driving lane side (left side) of the own vehicle toward the driving lane side (right side) of the oncoming vehicle. In addition, the portion of the light shielding portion 24B of the diffusion light guide 20B that extends from the inclined portion 20Ld toward the driving lane side (right side) of the oncoming vehicle is arranged above compared to the light shielding portion 24A of the focusing light guide 20A. In this way, a recessed portion 20Le is formed in the diffusion light guide 20B, which is recessed upward in the left-right direction corresponding to the adjustment portion 27 of the focusing light guide 20A described later. By providing the recessed portion 20Le in the diffusion light guide 20B, as described later, the diffusion pattern PB1 does not overlap with the adjustment area PR1 of the focusing pattern PA1, which is an adjustment portion adjusted by the adjustment portion 27 (see FIG. 2 ). Fig. 9 wait).
[0065] [Inner surface reflective surface]
[0066] The inner surface reflection surface 25 extends forward from the front end of the second reflection surface 23. The inner surface reflection surface 25 is located between the front end of the second reflection surface 23 and the light shielding portion 24. The inner surface reflection surface 25 is arranged along a horizontal plane. In the present embodiment, the inner surface reflection surface 25 is, for example, planar. In addition, the inner surface reflection surface 25 is not limited to a planar shape, but may also be a curved surface. The inner surface reflection surface 25 is not limited to a structure along a horizontal plane, but may also be a structure in which the front side is inclined downward relative to the horizontal plane. In the inner surface reflection surface 25, an area where inner surface reflection can be performed is ensured throughout the front and rear directions.
[0067] Figure 4It is a magnified representation Figure 2A A portion of the graph. Figure 4 As shown in FIG. 1 , in the vehicle light guide 20, an adjustment portion 27 is provided on the inner surface reflection surface 25 of the light-concentrating light guide 20A. In addition, the adjustment portion 27 is not provided on the inner surface reflection surface 25 of the light-diffusing light guide 20B. The adjustment portion 27 is arranged near the light shielding portion 24. The adjustment portion 27 is for adjusting the light-concentrating pattern PA1 (see FIG. 1 ) to be described later. Figure 7 ) is set to adjust the luminosity corresponding to the adjustment area PR1 near the horizontal cut-off line CLa on the opposite lane side of the host vehicle. Specifically, the adjustment unit 27 reduces the luminosity of the adjustment area PR1 by causing a part of the light corresponding to the adjustment area PR1 to be reflected upward by the inner surface. The adjustment unit 27 is arranged on the side corresponding to the driving lane of the host vehicle relative to the focal point P in the left-right direction, and is arranged on the left side relative to the focal point P in the present embodiment.
[0068] For example, the adjustment portion 27 is convex when viewed from the outside of the vehicle light guide 20. The adjustment portion 27 is formed so that the protrusion amount gradually decreases from the center portion in the left-right direction toward both sides (see Figure 3A as well as Figure 3B ). The adjustment portion 27 has an inclined surface 27a and a folded surface 27b. The inclined surface 27a is inclined downward from the light shielding portion 24 toward the rear. The inclined surface 27a performs internal surface reflection upward on the light reflected by the second reflecting surface 23. With this structure, the light reflected by the internal surface of the inclined surface 27a does not reach the emission surface 26, but is emitted to the outside of the vehicle light guide 20 from, for example, the upper surface 20h. The inclined surface 27a is set in a shape such as an inclination angle in such a way that a part of the light reflected by the second reflecting surface 23 does not reach the emission surface 26 but is emitted from, for example, the upper surface 20h.
[0069] The folding surface 27b is folded upward from the rear end of the inclined surface 27a and connected to the inner surface reflecting surface 25. The folding surface 27b is inclined or curved upward from the rear end of the inclined surface 27a. The folding surface 27b is provided in a state of being erected in the up-down direction compared with the inclined surface 27a. When the folding surface 27b is observed from above or below, the dimension in the front-to-back direction is smaller than that of the inclined surface 27a. That is, the adjusting portion 27 has a shape in which the rear side where the folding surface 27b is provided is more protruding or bulging than the front side where the inclined surface 27a is provided. The folding surface 27b is shaped in such a way that the light reflected by the second reflecting surface 23 does not enter the folding surface 27b.
[0070] [Ejection surface]
[0071] The emitting surface 26 emits the light which is reflected by the inner surface of the second reflecting surface 23 and is not blocked by the light shielding portion 24, and irradiates the front of the vehicle with a focusing pattern PA1 (see Figure 7) or diffusion pattern PB1 (refer to Figure 8 ). In the present embodiment, the emitting surface 26 is, for example, a curved surface, and has a focus and an optical axis that are not shown. In addition, the emitting surface 26 may be, for example, a flat surface, and may be provided with a structure of other optical elements that illuminate the light emitted from the emitting surface 26 toward the front of the vehicle. The focus of the emitting surface 26 is arranged at a position near the focus P of the second reflecting surface 23. In addition, in the present embodiment, the width of the emitting surface 26 in the left-right direction may also be narrower than the width of the second reflecting surface 23 in the left-right direction. In this case, the size of the emitting surface 26 when observed from the outside can be suppressed.
[0072] A light diffusion portion such as a prism portion may be formed on the upper surface 20h of the vehicle light guide 20. The light diffusion portion diffuses the light that is internally reflected by the second reflection surface 23. Therefore, it is possible to suppress the light that is internally reflected by the upper surface 20h and emitted from the emission surface 26 to the outside of the vehicle light guide 20 from becoming glare.
[0073] [action]
[0074] Next, the operation of the vehicle lamp 100 configured as described above will be described. Figure 5 as well as Figure 6 2 is a diagram showing an example of the optical path of light guided by the vehicle light guide 20. Figure 5 An example of the optical path of light guided by the focusing light guide 20A is shown. Figure 6 An example of the optical path of light guided by the diffusion light guide 20B is shown.
[0075] By lighting the light source 10 of the vehicle lamp 100, light is radiated from the light emitting surface 11. The light enters the vehicle light guide 20 from the first surface 21a and the second surface 21b of the incident surface 21. The light incident from the first surface 21a travels toward the second reflecting surface 23. The light incident from the second surface 21b is internally reflected from the first reflecting surface 22 toward the second reflecting surface 23.
[0076] like Figure 5 As shown, for example, in the light-concentrating light guide 20A, a portion of the light L1 reaching the second reflecting surface 23 is reflected by the inner surface of the second reflecting surface 23, passes through the inner surface reflecting surface 25 and the upper part of the light shielding portion 24, and reaches the emitting surface 26. The light L1 reaching the emitting surface 26 is emitted from the emitting surface 26 toward the front of the vehicle.
[0077] In addition, a portion of the light L2 reaching the second reflecting surface 23 is reflected by the inner surface of the second reflecting surface 23 and reaches the inner surface reflecting surface 25. In the present embodiment, the entirety of the second reflecting surface 23 to the light shielding portion 24 is formed in the front-rear direction. Therefore, the light L2 reaching the inner surface reflecting surface 25 is reflected by the inner surface to the front of the vehicle without waste. The light L2 reflected by the inner surface of the inner surface reflecting surface 25 passes through the upper part of the light shielding portion 24 and reaches the emission surface 26. The light L2 reaching the emission surface is emitted from the emission surface 26 to the front of the vehicle.
[0078] In addition, a portion of the light L3 reaching the second reflecting surface 23 is reflected by the inner surface of the second reflecting surface 23 and reaches the inclined surface 27a of the adjusting portion 28. The light L3 reaching the inclined surface 27a is reflected by the inner surface of the inclined surface 27a and is emitted from the upper surface 20h to the outside of the vehicle light guide 20. This light L3 is not emitted from the emission surface 26. In this way, by causing a portion of the light reflected by the inner surface of the second reflecting surface 23 to reach the inclined surface 27a, the shape of the pattern based on the light L2 emitted from the emission surface 26 is adjusted.
[0079] On the other hand, Figure 6 As shown, in the diffusion light guide 20B, a portion of the light L4 reaching the second reflection surface 23 is reflected by the inner surface of the second reflection surface 23, passes through the inner surface reflection surface 25 and the upper part of the light shielding portion 24, and reaches the emission surface 26. The light L4 reaching the emission surface 26 is emitted from the emission surface 26 toward the front of the vehicle.
[0080] In addition, a portion of the light L5 reaching the second reflecting surface 23 is reflected by the inner surface of the second reflecting surface 23 and reaches the inner surface reflecting surface 25. The light L5 reaching the inner surface reflecting surface 25 is reflected by the inner surface toward the front of the vehicle. The light L5 reflected by the inner surface of the inner surface reflecting surface 25 passes through the upper part of the light shielding portion 24 and reaches the emission surface 26. The light L5 reaching the emission surface is emitted from the emission surface 26 toward the front of the vehicle.
[0081] Figures 7 to 9 This is a diagram showing an example of a light distribution pattern irradiated onto a virtual screen in front of a vehicle. Figure 7 2A shows a light distribution pattern (light-concentrating pattern) based on the light-concentrating light guide 20A. Figure 8 The light distribution pattern (diffusion pattern) by the diffusion light guide 20B is shown. Fig. 9 Indicates a light distribution pattern (low beam pattern) that is a combination of a condensing pattern and a diffusing pattern.
[0082] exist Figures 7 to 9 In the figure, a pattern corresponding to vehicles passing on the left is shown. Figures 7 to 9 In FIG. 1 , the VV line represents the vertical line of the screen, and the HH line represents the horizontal line on the left and right of the screen. In addition, the intersection of the vertical line and the horizontal line is assumed to be the reference position in the horizontal direction.
[0083] like Figure 7 As shown, the light L1 and L2 emitted from the emission surface 26 of the light-concentrating light guide 20A are irradiated toward the front of the vehicle as a light-concentrating pattern PA1. Specifically, the light L1 and L2 that pass through the upper part of the light-shielding portion 24 of the light-concentrating light guide 20A and reach the emission surface 26 form a light-concentrating pattern PA1 including a cut-off line CL. Figure 7 In the description, the inclined cut-off line CLb of the cut-off lines CL is described as being inclined downward toward the right side, but the present invention is not limited thereto, and the same description can be made when the inclined cut-off line CLb is inclined downward toward the left side.
[0084] In the light-concentrating light guide 20A, a portion of the light (light L3) reflected by the second reflection surface 23 is emitted to the outside from the portion other than the emission surface 26 of the light-concentrating light guide 20A via the inclined surface 27a. Therefore, compared with a structure in which the inclined surface 27a is not provided, the light-concentrating pattern PA1 becomes a state in which the brightness is lower than the surrounding area in the area corresponding to the light L3, that is, in the adjustment area PR1 near the horizontal cut-off line CLa on the driving lane side of the host vehicle in the light-concentrating pattern PA1.
[0085] On the other hand, Figure 8 As shown in FIG. 1 , the light L4 and L5 emitted from the emission surface 26 of the diffusion light guide 20B are irradiated toward the front of the vehicle as a diffusion pattern PB1. Specifically, the light L4 and L5 that pass through the upper part of the light shielding portion 24 of the diffusion light guide 20B and reach the emission surface 26 form a diffusion pattern PB1 including a cut-off line CL. Figure 8 In the description, the inclined cut-off line CLd of the cut-off lines CL is described as being inclined downward toward the right side, but the present invention is not limited thereto, and the same description can be made when the inclined cut-off line CLd is inclined downward toward the left side.
[0086] In the present embodiment, the light shielding portion 24B of the diffusion light guide 20B has a shape in which the inclined portion 20Lb has a shape that becomes more inclined upward from the driving lane side (left side) of the own vehicle toward the driving lane side (right side) of the oncoming vehicle, compared to the light shielding portion 24A of the focusing light guide 20A. In addition, the light shielding portion 24B of the diffusion light guide 20B has a shape in which the portion extending from the inclined portion 20Lb to the driving lane side (right side) of the oncoming vehicle is recessed upward compared to the light shielding portion 24A of the focusing light guide 20A. Due to the shape of the light shielding portion 24B, the diffusion pattern PB1 is formed with an avoidance portion PQ1 formed by cutting downward the portion corresponding to the above-mentioned adjustment area PR1, compared to the focusing pattern PA1.
[0087] By combining the focusing pattern PA1 and the diffusion pattern PB1, as shown in FIG. Fig. 9 As shown, a low beam pattern P1 is formed in front of the vehicle. In the low beam pattern P1, by forming the avoidance portion PQ1 in the diffusion pattern PB1, only the spotlight pattern PA1 is irradiated in the adjustment area PR1. Since the spotlight pattern PA1 is irradiated in a state where the brightness is reduced, a sharp decrease in brightness is suppressed in the adjustment area PR1. In addition, the brightness of the spotlight pattern PA1 outside the adjustment area PR1 is not reduced, so the horizontality of the horizontal cut-off line CLa is ensured.
[0088] [Vehicle lamp unit]
[0089] Fig.10 It is a diagram showing an example of a vehicle lamp unit 150 according to the present embodiment. Fig.10 An example of a vehicle mounted state viewed from the front is shown. Fig.10 The vehicle lamp unit 150 shown has a shell 151, an outer lens 152, a light source 10, and a plurality of vehicle light guides 20. The vehicle lamp unit 150 is a structure in which, for example, two vehicle light guides 20 are arranged in a lamp chamber surrounded by the shell 151 and the outer lens 152. In addition, the vehicle light guides 20 arranged in the lamp chamber may be one or more than three. In addition, when the vehicle light guides 20 are observed from the front, they are not limited to being arranged in the left-right direction, but may be arranged in the up-down direction, in an inclined direction, or in a state in which two or more of the left-right direction, the up-down direction, and the inclined direction are combined. In addition, it is also possible to configure the number and arrangement of the light sources 10 to be different for different vehicle light guides 20.
[0090] For example, one of the vehicle light guides 20 may be configured to have a light-concentrating light guide 20A of the light source 10 so that light is incident on the incident surface 21 on the central side in the left-right direction, and the other vehicle light guides 20 may be configured to have a light-diffusing light guide 20B of the light source 10 so that light is incident on the incident surface 21 on the outer side in the left-right direction. In addition, at least one of the structures of the light-concentrating light guides 20A and the structures of the light-diffusing light guides 20B may be provided. In this case, the heat generated by each vehicle light guide 20 can be suppressed, and the low beam pattern P1 can be appropriately formed in front of the vehicle as a whole of the vehicle lamp unit 150.
[0091] As described above, the vehicle light guide 20 involved in this embodiment includes: an incident surface 21, which allows light from the light source 10 to be incident; a first reflection surface 22, which performs internal surface reflection on the light incident from the incident surface 21; a second reflection surface 23, which causes at least a portion of the light reflected by the first reflection surface 22 to be internally reflected toward the front in a manner passing through a focal point and the vicinity of the focal point; a light shielding portion 24, which shields a portion of the light reflected by the second reflection surface 23; an internal surface reflection surface 25, which is located in front of the second reflection surface 23 Between the side end portion and the shading portion 24, a portion of the light reflected by the second reflecting surface 23 is reflected internally toward the front; an emitting surface 26, which emits the light reflected internally by the second reflecting surface 23; and an adjusting portion 27, which is arranged behind the shading portion 24 in the inner surface reflecting surface 25 and on the left and right side of the focus of the second reflecting surface 23, and emits a portion of the light reflected by the second reflecting surface 23 to the outside from a portion different from the emitting surface 26 by causing the light to be reflected internally or refracted.
[0092] Therefore, in a structure in which at least a portion of the light reflected by the first reflecting surface 22 is internally reflected toward the front in a manner passing through the focus and the vicinity of the focus, an adjustment portion 27 is provided on a portion closer to the driving lane side of the vehicle in the left-right direction than the focus of the second reflecting surface 23, and the light reflected by the second reflecting surface 23 is internally reflected through the portion including the light shielding portion 24, so that the light is emitted to the outside from a portion different from the emitting surface 26. Therefore, the light distribution pattern PA1 formed by the emitting surface 26 in front of the vehicle becomes a state in which the brightness is lower than the surrounding in the adjustment area PR1 near the horizontal cut-off line CLa on the driving lane side of the vehicle. In this way, in the adjustment area PR1, the brightness of the light distribution pattern PA1 is reduced, so that the brightness can be suppressed from being sharply reduced compared with the surrounding. In addition, the brightness of the light distribution pattern PA1 is not reduced in the portion outside the adjustment area PR1, so the horizontality of the horizontal cut-off line CLa is ensured. Thus, the light distribution pattern can be irradiated to the front of the vehicle with appropriate illumination.
[0093] In the above-mentioned vehicle light guide 20, the adjustment portion 27 is shaped to protrude from the inner surface reflection surface 25 to the outside, and has an inclined surface 27a on the front side in the front-back direction that is inclined downward toward the rear so as to reflect a part of the light reflected by the second reflection surface 23 to the part different from the emission surface 26 by the inner surface, and has a folded surface 27b on the rear side in the front-back direction that is folded upward from the rear side end of the inclined surface 27a and connected to the inner surface reflection surface 25. According to this structure, by performing the inner surface reflection on a part of the light reflected by the second reflection surface 23 by the inclined surface 27a, a part of the light can be reliably made to reach the part different from the emission surface 26. Therefore, the generation of glare can be suppressed.
[0094] In the above-mentioned vehicle light guide 20, the folded surface 27b is provided vertically higher than the inclined surface 27a. With this configuration, when part of the light reflected by the second reflecting surface 23 reaches the adjusting portion 27, it can more reliably enter the inclined surface 27a.
[0095] In the above-mentioned vehicle light guide 20, the adjustment portion 27 is formed so that the protrusion amount gradually decreases from the center to both sides in the left-right direction. According to this configuration, the brightness can be adjusted so that the brightness gradually increases from the center to both sides in the adjustment area PR1 of the condensing pattern PA1.
[0096] The vehicle lamp unit 150 according to the present embodiment includes: a light source 10; a focusing light guide 20A, which is a vehicle light guide 20 for guiding and emitting light from the light source 10, and emitting a focusing pattern PA1 in front of the vehicle; and a diffusion light guide 20B, which guides the light from the light source 10, and emits a diffusion pattern PB1 in front of the vehicle in a manner that a portion overlaps with the focusing pattern PA1. According to this structure, the focusing pattern PA1 is formed by the focusing light guide 20A, and the diffusion pattern PB1 is formed by the diffusion pattern PB1, thereby appropriately adjusting the illumination as the entire pattern.
[0097] In the above-mentioned vehicle lamp unit 150, the adjustment portion 27 is shaped to protrude from the inner surface reflection surface 25 to the outside, and has an inclined surface 27a on the front side in the front-back direction that is inclined downward toward the rear so as to reflect a part of the light reflected by the second reflection surface 23 toward the portion different from the emission surface 26 by the inner surface, and has a folded surface 27b on the rear side in the front-back direction that is folded upward from the rear end of the inclined surface 27a and connected to the inner surface reflection surface 25, and the diffusion light guide 20B is formed so that the diffusion pattern PB1 does not overlap with the adjustment area PR1 of the light focusing pattern PA1 that is adjusted by the adjustment portion 27. According to this structure, by setting the structure that the diffusion pattern PB1 is not irradiated to the adjustment area PR1, the brightness in the adjustment area PR1 can be appropriately adjusted by the light focusing light guide 20A.
[0098] [Second embodiment]
[0099] Next, a second embodiment will be described. Fig.11 as well as Fig. 12A , 12B It is a diagram showing a vehicle light guide 120 according to a second embodiment. Fig.11 It is a plan view showing an example of the vehicle light guide 120 . Fig. 12A as well as Fig. 12B Indicates along Fig.11 The structure of the DD cross section. Fig. 12A1 shows the structure of the light-concentrating light guide 120A. Fig. 12B The structure of the diffusion light guide 120B is shown.
[0100] in addition, Fig.13A as well as Fig. 13B It is a diagram showing an example of the light shielding portion 124 . Fig.13A It is along Fig. 12A The structure of the EE cross section in , represents the light shielding portion 124 (hereinafter referred to as the light shielding portion 124A) of the focusing light guide 120A. Fig. 13B It is along Fig. 12B The structure of the FF cross section in FIG. 1 shows the light shielding portion 124 (hereinafter referred to as the light shielding portion 124B) of the diffusion light guide 120B. Fig.13A as well as Fig. 13B As shown, the light shielding portion 124A of the light-collecting light guide 120A and the light shielding portion 124B of the light-diffusing light guide 120B have substantially the same shape.
[0101] In this embodiment, a concave adjustment portion 28 is provided on the inner surface reflection surface 25 of the light-collecting light guide 120A. In addition, the adjustment portion 28 is not provided on the inner surface reflection surface 25 of the light-diffusing light guide 120B. In the light-collecting light guide 120A, the structure other than the adjustment portion 28 is the same as that of the light-collecting light guide 20A described in the first embodiment.
[0102] The adjustment unit 28 is disposed near the light shielding unit 24. The adjustment unit 28 is for adjusting the light condensing pattern PA2 (see Fig.15 ) is set to adjust the luminosity corresponding to the adjustment area PR2 near the horizontal cut-off line CLa on the opposite lane side of the host vehicle. Specifically, the adjustment unit 28 emits a part of the light corresponding to the adjustment area PR2 downward, thereby reducing the luminosity of the adjustment area PR2. The adjustment unit 28 is arranged on the side corresponding to the driving lane of the host vehicle relative to the focal point P in the left-right direction, and is arranged on the left side relative to the focal point P in this embodiment.
[0103] For example, the adjustment portion 28 is concave when viewed from the outside of the vehicle light guide 20. The adjustment portion 28 has a refractive surface 28a on the rear side in the front-to-rear direction, and a total reflection surface 28b on the front side in the front-to-rear direction. The refractive surface 28a is formed in a state of being inclined upward toward the front. The refractive surface 28a emits a portion of the light reflected by the second reflection surface 23 to the outside. The total reflection surface 28b is formed to bend downward from the front end of the refractive surface 28a. The total reflection surface 28b is formed in a state of being inclined downward toward the front. The total reflection surface 28b totally reflects the light emitted from the refractive surface 28a. In addition, the adjustment portion 28 is formed so that the farther away from the focal point P in the left-right direction, the farther away from the light shielding portion 24 in the front-to-rear direction. In other words, the adjustment portion 28 is formed so that the portion closer to the focal point P in the left-to-right direction is closer to the light shielding portion 24 in the front-to-rear direction. For example, the adjustment portion 28 extends in a manner so that it is arranged more rearward as it is farther away from the focal point P in the left-to-right direction (refer to Fig.11 ). In addition, the adjustment portion 28 is a structure that is farther away from the light shielding portion 24 in the front-to-back direction as it is farther away from the focal point P in the left-right direction. It can be a structure that is gradually farther away in the front-to-back direction, or it can include a portion that does not extend rearward. The adjustment portion 28 has a first portion 28c and a second portion 28d in the left-to-right direction. The first portion 28c is arranged on the inner side in the left-to-right direction. The first portion 28c is formed so that the depth gradually becomes shallower toward the focal point P side. The second portion 28d is arranged on the outer side in the left-to-right direction relative to the first portion 28c. The depth of the second portion 28d is deeper than that of the first portion 28c. In other words, the size of the portion of the second portion 28d that is sunken from the inner surface reflection surface 25 to the inner side of the focusing light guide 120A in the up-down direction is larger than that of the first portion 28c. The second portion 28d is formed so that the depth gradually becomes shallower toward the outer side in the left-to-right direction.
[0104] With such a structure, the light reflected by the second reflection surface 23 is emitted to the outside of the light-collecting light guide 120A by the refractive surface 28a of the adjustment portion 28, and is reflected downward by the total reflection surface 28b of the adjustment portion 28. In other words, the shapes such as the inclination angle of the refractive surface 28a and the total reflection surface 28b are set so that a part of the light reflected by the second reflection surface 23 can be emitted to the outside and reflected downward.
[0105] Fig.14 1 is a diagram showing an example of the optical path of light guided by the focusing light guide 120A. Fig.14 As shown, for example, in the focusing light guide 120A, a portion of light L6 of the light reflected by the first reflecting surface 22 and reaching the second reflecting surface 23 is reflected by the inner surface of the second reflecting surface 23, passes through the inner surface reflecting surface 25 and the upper part of the light shielding portion 24, and reaches the emitting surface 26. The light L6 reaching the emitting surface 26 is emitted from the emitting surface 26 toward the front of the vehicle.
[0106] In addition, a portion of the light L7 reaching the second reflecting surface 23 is reflected by the inner surface of the second reflecting surface 23 and reaches the inner surface reflecting surface 25. The light L7 reaching the inner surface reflecting surface 25 is reflected by the inner surface without waste toward the front of the vehicle, passes through the upper side of the light shielding portion 24, and reaches the emitting surface 26. The light L7 reaching the emitting surface is emitted from the emitting surface 26 toward the front of the vehicle.
[0107] In addition, a portion of the light L8 reaching the second reflecting surface 23 is reflected by the inner surface of the second reflecting surface 23 and reaches the refractive surface 28a of the adjusting portion 28. The light L8 reaching the refractive surface 28a is refracted by the refractive surface 28a and emitted to the outside of the light-collecting light guide 120A. The light L8 is totally reflected downward by the total reflection surface 28b in front of the refractive surface 28a. Therefore, the light L8 is not emitted from the emitting surface 26. In this way, by making a portion of the light reflected by the inner surface of the second reflecting surface 23 reach the refractive surface 28a, the shape of the pattern based on the light L7 emitted from the emitting surface 26 is adjusted.
[0108] In addition, the same description as that of the diffusion light guide 20B in the first embodiment can be given regarding the light guided by the diffusion light guide 120B.
[0109] Figures 15 to 17 This is a diagram showing an example of a light distribution pattern irradiated onto a virtual screen in front of a vehicle. Fig.15 1 shows a light distribution pattern (light-concentrating pattern) based on the light-concentrating light guide 120A. Fig.16 The light distribution pattern (diffusion pattern) by the diffusion light guide 120B is shown. Fig.17 Indicates a light distribution pattern (low beam pattern) that is a combination of a condensing pattern and a diffusing pattern.
[0110] exist Figures 15 to 17 In the figure, a pattern corresponding to vehicles passing on the left is shown. Figures 15 to 17 In FIG. 1 , the VV line represents the vertical line of the screen, and the HH line represents the horizontal line on the left and right of the screen. In addition, the intersection of the vertical line and the horizontal line is assumed to be the reference position in the horizontal direction.
[0111] like Fig.15 As shown, the light L6 and L7 emitted from the emission surface 26 of the light-concentrating light guide 120A are irradiated toward the front of the vehicle as a light-concentrating pattern PA2. Specifically, the light L6 and L7 that pass through the upper part of the light-shielding portion 24 of the light-concentrating light guide 120A and reach the emission surface 26 form a light-concentrating pattern PA2 including a cut-off line CL. Fig.15 In the description, the inclined cut-off line CLb of the cut-off lines CL is described as being inclined downward toward the right side, but the present invention is not limited thereto, and the same description can be made when the inclined cut-off line CLb is inclined downward toward the left side.
[0112] In the light-concentrating light guide 120A, a portion of the light (light L8) reflected by the second reflection surface 23 is emitted to the outside from the portion other than the emission surface 26 of the light-concentrating light guide 120A via the refractive surface 28a and the total reflection surface 28b. Therefore, compared with a structure in which the refractive surface 28a and the total reflection surface 28b are not provided, the light-concentrating pattern PA2 becomes a state in which the brightness is lower than the surrounding area in the area corresponding to the light L8, that is, in the adjustment area PR2 near the horizontal cut-off line CLa on the opposite lane side of the vehicle in the light-concentrating pattern PA2.
[0113] On the other hand, Fig.16 As shown in FIG. 1 , the light emitted from the emission surface 26 of the diffusion light guide 120B is irradiated toward the front of the vehicle as a diffusion pattern PB2. Specifically, the light that passes through the upper part of the light shielding portion 24 of the diffusion light guide 120B and reaches the emission surface 26 forms a diffusion pattern PB2 including a cut-off line CL. Fig.16 In the description, the inclined cut-off line CLd of the cut-off lines CL is described as being inclined downward toward the right side, but the present invention is not limited thereto, and the same description can be made when the inclined cut-off line CLd is inclined downward toward the left side.
[0114] In the present embodiment, the light shielding portion 124B of the diffusion light guide 120B has the same shape as the light shielding portion 124A of the light focusing light guide 120A. Therefore, the diffusion pattern PB2 is formed to overlap with the adjustment region PR2 of the light focusing pattern PA2.
[0115] By combining the focusing pattern PA2 and the diffusion pattern PB2, as shown in FIG. Fig.17 As shown, a low beam pattern P2 is formed in front of the vehicle. In the low beam pattern P2, both the spotlight pattern PA2 and the diffusion pattern PB2 are irradiated in the adjustment area PR2. Therefore, since the diffusion pattern PB2 is irradiated to the portion that reduces the brightness of the spotlight pattern PA2, a sharp decrease in brightness is suppressed in the adjustment area PR2. In addition, since both the spotlight pattern PA2 and the diffusion pattern PB2 are irradiated in the portion outside the adjustment area PR2, the horizontality of the horizontal cut-off line CLa is ensured.
[0116] As described above, in the vehicle light guide 120 involved in the second embodiment, the adjustment portion 28 is a shape that is recessed inward from the inner surface reflection surface 25, and has a refractive surface 28a on the rear side in the front-to-back direction that emits a portion of the light reflected by the second reflection surface 23 to the outside, and has a total reflection surface 28b on the front side in the front-to-back direction that totally reflects the light emitted from the refractive surface.
[0117] In the above-mentioned vehicle light guide 20, the adjustment portion 28 is formed so as to be farther away from the light shielding portion 24 in the front-rear direction as it is farther away from the focal point P in the left-right direction. Therefore, for the adjustment area PR2 of the light-concentrating pattern PA2, the boundary portion on the opposite lane side in the left-right direction can be blurred. Therefore, the sense of separation of the adjustment area PR2 can be alleviated in the light-concentrating pattern PA2. In addition, for the adjustment area PR2 of the light-concentrating pattern PA2, the boundary portion on the vertical line VV side in the left-right direction can be clearly formed.
[0118] In the above-described vehicle light guide 20 , the adjustment portion 28 is formed so that the amount of depression decreases as it approaches the focal point P in the horizontal direction. With this configuration, the brightness of the adjustment region PR2 of the condensed pattern PA2 can be adjusted to be brighter as it approaches the vertical line VV in the horizontal direction.
[0119] The vehicle lamp unit according to the present embodiment may be configured to include: a light source 10; a focusing light guide 120A, which is a vehicle light guide 120 that guides and emits light from the light source 10, and irradiates a focusing pattern PA2 to the front of the vehicle; and a diffusion light guide 120B, which guides the light from the light source 10, and emits a diffusion pattern PB2 to the front of the vehicle in a manner that a portion overlaps with the focusing pattern PA2. In this structure, the adjustment portion 28 is a shape that is recessed inward from the inner surface reflection surface 25, and has a refractive surface 28a that emits a portion of the light reflected by the second reflection surface 23 to the outside on the front side in the front-to-back direction, and has a total reflection surface 28b that totally reflects the light emitted from the refractive surface on the rear side in the front-to-back direction, and the diffusion light guide 120B is formed so that the diffusion pattern PB2 overlaps with the adjustment area PR2 of the focusing pattern PA2, which is the adjustment portion adjusted by the adjustment portion 28. According to this structure, since the diffusion pattern PB2 is irradiated on the portion that reduces the brightness of the focusing pattern PA2, a sharp decrease in brightness is suppressed in the adjustment region PR2. In addition, since both the focusing pattern PA2 and the diffusion pattern PB2 are irradiated on the portion outside the adjustment region PR2, the horizontality of the horizontal cut-off line CLa is ensured.
[0120] The technical scope of the present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiment, and can be appropriately changed within the scope of the main purpose of the present invention. In the above-mentioned embodiment, the structure of the vehicle lamp 100 mounted on a vehicle traveling on a road with left-hand traffic is described as an example, but it is not limited to this, and the same description can be made when a vehicle headlamp is mounted on a vehicle traveling on a road with right-hand traffic.
[0121] In the light-converging light guide 20A described in the first embodiment, another structure may be provided on the inner reflective surface 25 behind the adjustment portion 27 . Fig.18FIG. 2 is a diagram showing another example of a light-concentrating light guide. Fig.18 As shown, the light-concentrating light guide 220A may also be provided with a recess 29 recessed inward from the inner surface reflecting surface 25 behind the adjusting portion 27 in the inner surface reflecting surface 25. By providing the recess 29, a part of the light reflected by the inner surface of the second reflecting surface 23 and directed toward the focal point P can be shielded. With this structure, the illumination of a part of the low beam pattern can be adjusted.
[0122] Furthermore, the light-collecting light guides 20A, 120A, and 220A described above have been described by taking the structure in which the second reflection surface 23 and the light shielding portion 24 are connected via the inner surface reflection surface 25 as an example, but the present invention is not limited thereto.
[0123] Fig.19 FIG. 2 is a diagram showing another example of a light-concentrating light guide. Fig.19 As shown, the light-collecting light guide 320A includes an incident surface 21 , a first reflecting surface 22 , a second reflecting surface 23 , a light shielding portion 24 , an adjustment surface 225 , a transmission surface 226 , an inner surface reflecting surface 227 , a re-incident surface 228 , and an emission surface 26 .
[0124] The structures of the incident surface 21, the first reflecting surface 22, the second reflecting surface 23, the light shielding portion 24, and the emitting surface 26 are the same as those described above. The adjustment surface 225 extends forward from the front end of the second reflecting surface 23. The transmission surface 226 is provided in a state of extending upward from the front end of the adjustment surface 225 in the vertical direction, so that a part of the light reflected by the second reflecting surface 23 is transmitted to the outside of the light guide body and directed forward. The inner surface reflection surface 227 is located between the upper end of the transmission surface 226 and the light shielding portion 24, and reflects a part of the light reflected by the inner surface of the second reflecting surface 23 toward the inner surface in front. The re-incident surface 228 is arranged in front of the transmission surface 226 and below the light shielding portion 24, so that the light transmitted from the transmission surface 226 to the outside of the light guide body is re-incident. In addition, the emitting surface 26 emits the light reflected by the inner surface of the second reflecting surface 23 and the light incident from the re-incident surface 228.
[0125] According to this structure, the main pattern (low beam pattern) is formed by the light reflected by the second reflection surface 23, passing through the upper part of the inner surface reflection surface 227 and passing through the light shielding portion 24 or the upper part of the light shielding portion 24 to be emitted from the emission surface 26, and the light reflected by the inner surface of the inner surface reflection surface 227, passing through the light shielding portion 24 or the upper part of the light shielding portion 24 to be emitted from the emission surface 26. In this structure, the adjustment surface 225 is arranged between the second reflection surface 23 and the inner surface reflection surface 227, so that part of the light reflected by the second reflection surface 23 does not reach the inner surface reflection surface 227 but reaches the adjustment surface 225, and is emitted to the outside from the part other than the emission surface 26 of the focusing light guide 220A via the adjustment surface 225. Therefore, the illuminance of a part of the low beam pattern can be reduced, and the illuminance as the whole pattern can be appropriately adjusted.
[0126] In addition, in the above-mentioned embodiment, the case where the focusing light guide that forms the focusing pattern and the diffusion light guide that forms the diffusion pattern are independent vehicle light guides is described as an example, but it is not limited to this structure. It is also possible to have a structure in which one vehicle light guide forms both the focusing pattern and the diffusion pattern. In this case, for example, in one vehicle light guide, it can be achieved by making the light incident on at least one of the two incident surfaces 21 arranged on the central side in the left-right direction and at least one of the two incident surfaces 21 arranged on the outer side in the left-right direction.
