Composite polypeptide with metal binding region and molecular constructs thereof

Abstract

The invention aims to disclose a composite polypeptide. According to various embodiments, the complex polypeptide comprises a parent polypeptide and a metal binding domain capable of forming a complex with a metal ion. The complex polypeptide may be coupled to a binding unit bearing a plurality of functional elements to form a multifunction molecular construct. Alternatively, a plurality of complex polypeptides may be coupled to a binding unit to form a molecular construct, or a polypeptide bundle. The invention also discloses a binding unit suitable for being coupled with the complex polypeptide with the metal binding domain.
