Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present disclosure relates to the field of wireless communications, and in particular to a transmission timing indication method for PRACH repeated transmission, and related user equipment, network equipment, and communication system. Background Art
[0002] The user equipment (UE) sends a preamble once at a PRACH (Physical Random Access Channel) transmission opportunity indicated by the base station. The UE can calculate the corresponding RA-RNTI (Random Access Radio Network Temporary Identifier) value based on the time-frequency position of the PRACH transmission opportunity. Then, the UE monitors the PDCCH (Physical Downlink Control Channel) in the random access response (RAR) time window. If the UE successfully descrambles and detects the DCI (Downlink Control Information) 1_0 with the RA-RNTI, and can identify the RAPID (Random Access Preamble identifier) in the random access response information scheduled by the DCI, the UE considers that its PRACH transmission is successful. Otherwise, the UE considers that the PRACH transmission is unsuccessful and needs to retransmit a new PRACH, which will bring additional delay.
[0003] After the introduction of PRACH repetition (or multiple transmissions), the network side and the user side need to align the resource locations for the actual PRACH repetition transmission. Otherwise, the network side cannot perform joint detection on the PRACH repetition transmission of the same user equipment, which will greatly reduce the performance of PRACH repetition transmission. Summary of the invention

[0028] In some embodiments, L rounds of division are performed in the order of the number of PRACH repeated transmissions from small to large or from large to small, where L is a positive integer. After L rounds of division, if there are still remaining PRACH transmission opportunities, and the remaining PRACH transmission opportunities cannot complete a full round of division, then the remaining PRACH transmission opportunities are not used for PRACH repeated transmissions, wherein each round of division includes: dividing PRACH transmission opportunities at different time domain positions into first PRACH transmission opportunity groups according to multiple PRACH transmission numbers, and there are no PRACH transmission opportunities with overlapping time domains between the first PRACH transmission opportunity groups.
[0029] In some embodiments, division into one or more PRACH transmission opportunity groups includes: when the network side configuration includes multiple PRACH repetition transmission times, starting from the first PRACH transmission opportunity in the time domain within one or more associated pattern periods of the SSB and the PRACH transmission opportunity, the PRACH transmission opportunities at different time domain positions are divided into a first PRACH transmission opportunity group according to the maximum PRACH repetition transmission number, and the PRACH transmission opportunities within the first PRACH transmission opportunity group are divided into a second PRACH transmission opportunity group according to a non-maximum PRACH repetition transmission number.

[0057] The technical solutions in the embodiments of the present disclosure will be clearly and completely described below in conjunction with the drawings in the embodiments of the present disclosure.
[0058] Unless otherwise specified, descriptions such as “first” and “second” in the present disclosure are used to distinguish different objects and are not used to indicate meanings such as size or time sequence.
[0059] It should also be understood that in the embodiments of the present disclosure, “plurality” may refer to two or more than two, and “at least one” may refer to one, two, or more than two.
[0060] It should also be understood that any component, data or structure mentioned in the embodiments of the present disclosure can generally be understood as one or more, unless explicitly limited or otherwise indicated in the context.
[0061] It should also be understood that the description of the various embodiments in the present disclosure focuses on the differences between the various embodiments, and the same or similar aspects thereof can be referenced to each other, and for the sake of brevity, they will not be described one by one.
[0062] The following describes the difference between PRACH retransmission and PRACH repetition or multiple transmissions. PRACH retransmission refers to a new PRACH transmission process that is re-initiated after a PRACH transmission process fails, where a PRACH transmission process includes a single PRACH transmission or a PRACH repetition. PRACH repetition refers to multiple PRACH transmissions on multiple PRACH transmission occasions in a PRACH transmission process, where the number of multiple PRACH transmission occasions is equal to the number of PRACH repetitions.
[0063] Figure 1 A flowchart of a method for indicating a transmission timing of PRACH repeated transmission according to some embodiments of the present disclosure is shown.
[0064] like Figure 1 As shown, the method of this embodiment is executed by a user equipment, and includes steps 110-130, and may further include steps 140 and 150 as needed.
[0065] In step 110, the network side configuration is obtained, including a first indicator for indicating whether to enable PRACH frequency hopping transmission, one or more PRACH repetition transmission times, and multiple PRACH transmission opportunities for PRACH repetition transmission.
[0066] In step 120, according to the network side configuration, multiple PRACH transmission opportunities within one or more associated pattern periods of a synchronization signal block (SSB) and a PRACH transmission opportunity are divided into one or more PRACH transmission opportunity groups.
[0067] In step 130, PRACH repetitive transmission is performed within the PRACH transmission opportunity group.
[0068] In step 140, the one or more PRACH transmission opportunity groups include a first PRACH transmission opportunity group, and the first downlink control information is descrambled and detected within a time window corresponding to the first PRACH transmission opportunity group.
[0069] The starting position of the time window is located after the first PRACH transmission opportunity group.
[0070] The first downlink control information is, for example, DCI 1_0.
[0071] In step 150, if the first downlink control information is successfully detected, a transport block is received in a PDSCH (Physical Downlink Shared Channel), and the transport block is parsed. If a RAPID (Random Access Preamble identifier) in the transport block is identified, it is determined that the PRACH is successfully transmitted, and the subsequent random access process is continued.
[0072] If the UE successfully detects DCI 1_0 and receives a transport block in the corresponding PDSCH, the UE passes the transport block to the upper layer, which parses the transport block. If the upper layer recognizes the RAPID, the upper layer indicates the corresponding uplink grant to the physical layer. At this point, the UE is considered to have successfully transmitted the PRACH, and the UE continues to perform the subsequent random access process.
[0073] Figure 2 A flowchart of a method for indicating a transmission timing of PRACH repeated transmission according to some embodiments of the present disclosure is shown.
[0074] like Figure 2 As shown, the method of this embodiment is executed by a network device, and includes steps 210-230, and may further include steps 240 and 250 as required. The network device is, for example, a base station.
[0075] In step 210, the network side configuration is performed, including a first indicator for indicating whether to enable PRACH frequency hopping transmission, one or more PRACH repetition transmission times, and multiple PRACH transmission opportunities for PRACH repetition transmission.
[0076] In step 220, according to the network side configuration, multiple PRACH transmission opportunities within one or more associated pattern periods of synchronization signal blocks SSB and PRACH transmission opportunities are divided into one or more PRACH transmission opportunity groups.
[0077] At step 230, joint detection is performed on PRACH repetitive transmissions within the PRACH transmission opportunity group.
[0078] Joint detection is performed on PRACHs transmitted at multiple PRACH transmission timings in the PRACH transmission timing group. PRACH can be detected at any one of the multiple PRACH transmission timings in the PRACH transmission timing group.
[0079] In step 240, the one or more PRACH transmission opportunity groups include a first PRACH transmission opportunity group, and the first downlink control information is sent within a time window corresponding to the first PRACH transmission opportunity group.
[0080] The starting position of the time window is located after the first PRACH transmission opportunity group.
[0081] The first downlink control information is, for example, DCI 1_0.
[0082] In step 250, a transport block is sent in a physical downlink shared channel PDSCH, wherein the transport block includes a random preamble identifier.
[0083] In the disclosed embodiment, according to the network side configuration, both the network device and the user device can determine the PRACH transmission timing group for PRACH repeated transmission, so that the user side and the network side have consistent understanding of the resource location for actual PRACH repeated transmission, so that the network side can jointly detect the PRACH repeated transmission of the same user terminal, thereby improving the performance of PRACH repeated transmission.
[0084] Since the user equipment and the network equipment have the same understanding of the resource location for actual PRACH repeated transmission based on the network side configuration, the content of determining the resource location for actual PRACH repeated transmission based on the network side configuration to be described later is applicable to both the user equipment and the network equipment.
[0085] 1-1) The first indicator may be 1 bit in size and indicates whether PRACH frequency hopping transmission is enabled.
[0086] 1-2) When the first indicator is set by default, PRACH frequency hopping transmission is disabled by default.
[0087] 2-1) The PRACH transmission opportunities in the same PRACH transmission opportunity group have the same SSB (Synchronization Signal Block) mapping relationship. That is, the PRACH transmission opportunities in the same PRACH transmission opportunity group correspond to the same SSB.
[0088] 2-2) PRACH transmission opportunities in the same PRACH transmission opportunity group do not overlap in the time domain. That is, the PRACH transmission opportunities in the same PRACH transmission opportunity group are located at different time domain positions.
[0089] 2-3) The PRACH transmission timing group only includes valid PRACH transmission timings. Invalid PRACH transmission timings are not included in the PRACH transmission timing group.
[0090] 2-4) The division into one or more PRACH transmission opportunity groups includes: starting from the first PRACH transmission opportunity in the time domain within one or more associated pattern periods of the SSB and the PRACH transmission opportunity, a plurality of valid PRACH transmission opportunities that are continuous in the time domain are divided into a PRACH transmission opportunity group. The number of PRACH transmission opportunities in a PRACH transmission opportunity group is determined by the number of PRACH repetition transmissions in the network side configuration.
[0091] Scheme 0, Scheme 1, Scheme 2, and Scheme 3 for dividing one or more PRACH transmission opportunity groups are applicable to both situations where PRACH frequency hopping transmission is not enabled and situations where PRACH frequency hopping transmission is enabled. One of the differences is that when the first indicator indicates that PRACH frequency hopping transmission is enabled, adjacent PRACH transmission opportunities in the PRACH transmission opportunity group are located at different frequency domain positions; when the first indicator indicates that PRACH frequency hopping transmission is not enabled, each PRACH transmission opportunity in the PRACH transmission opportunity group is located at the same frequency domain position. In order to make the description more concise, Scheme 0, Scheme 1, Scheme 2, and Scheme 3 focus on describing the common parts that are applicable to both situations where PRACH frequency hopping transmission is not enabled and situations where PRACH frequency hopping transmission is enabled, and the differences will be described separately later.
[0092] Scenario 0:
[0093] When the network side configuration includes a number of PRACH repetition transmissions, the number of PRACH transmission opportunities in the PRACH transmission opportunity group is equal to the number of PRACH repetition transmissions in the network side configuration. At this time, starting from the first PRACH transmission opportunity in the time domain within one or more associated pattern periods of the SSB and PRACH transmission opportunities, every K PRACH transmission opportunities are divided into a first PRACH transmission opportunity group, where K is the number of PRACH repetition transmissions in the network side configuration.
[0094] Scenario 1:
[0095] When the network side configuration includes multiple PRACH repetition transmission times, the first PRACH transmission time groups are divided respectively according to the multiple PRACH transmission times, and there are no overlapping PRACH transmission time periods between the first PRACH transmission time groups.
[0096] When the network side configuration includes multiple PRACH repetition transmission times, starting from the first PRACH transmission time in the time domain within one or more associated pattern periods of the SSB and the PRACH transmission time, the PRACH transmission times at different time domain positions are divided into first PRACH transmission time groups according to the multiple PRACH transmission times, and there are no PRACH transmission times that overlap in the time domain between the first PRACH transmission time groups.
[0097] According to the order of the number of PRACH repeated transmissions from small to large or from large to small, L rounds of division are performed, L is a positive integer, after L rounds of division, if there are still remaining PRACH transmission opportunities, and the remaining PRACH transmission opportunities cannot complete a full round of division, then the remaining PRACH transmission opportunities are not used for PRACH repeated transmission. Wherein, each round of division includes: according to multiple PRACH transmission times, PRACH transmission opportunities at different time domain positions are divided into first PRACH transmission opportunity groups, and there are no PRACH transmission opportunities with overlapping time domains between the first PRACH transmission opportunity groups.
[0098] like Figure 3 In the scheme 1 shown, it is assumed that within one or more associated pattern periods of the SSB and the PRACH transmission opportunity, there are 8 PRACH transmission opportunities with the same mapping relationship with the SSB in the time domain (the frequency division multiplexing PRACH transmission opportunity is counted as 1, which refers to the number of PRACH transmission opportunities with different time domain positions), the frequency division multiplexing parameter of PRACH is 2, the number of PRACH repetition transmissions configured on the network side is 2, 4 times, and the network side does not enable PRACH frequency hopping transmission. Taking the number of PRACH transmissions from small to large as an example, according to the number of PRACH repetition transmissions = 2, PRACH transmission opportunities #0 and #2 are divided into one PRACH transmission opportunity group, and PRACH transmission opportunities #1 and #3 are divided into one PRACH transmission opportunity group; according to the number of PRACH repetition transmissions = 4, PRACH transmission opportunities #4, #6, #8, #10 are divided into one PRACH transmission opportunity group, and PRACH transmission opportunities #5, #7, #9, #11 are divided into one PRACH transmission opportunity group. The remaining PRACH transmission opportunities #12, #13, #14, and #15 cannot complete a full round of division and are therefore not used for PRACH repeated transmission under the current configuration. In summary, in this embodiment, there are 2 PRACH transmission opportunity groups with a PRACH repeated transmission number of 2 and 2 PRACH transmission opportunity groups with a PRACH repeated transmission number of 4.
[0099] Scenario 2:
[0100] When the network side configuration includes multiple PRACH repetition transmission times, the first PRACH transmission time group is first divided according to the maximum PRACH repetition transmission number, and then the second PRACH transmission time group is divided within the first PRACH transmission time group according to the non-maximum PRACH repetition transmission number.
[0101] When the network side configuration includes multiple PRACH repetition transmission times, starting from the first PRACH transmission time in the time domain within one or more associated pattern periods of the SSB and the PRACH transmission time, the PRACH transmission times at different time domain positions are divided into a first PRACH transmission time group according to the maximum PRACH repetition transmission number, and the PRACH transmission times in the first PRACH transmission time group are divided into a second PRACH transmission time group according to the non-maximum PRACH repetition transmission number.
[0102] Among them, dividing the first PRACH transmission opportunity group includes: starting from the first PRACH transmission opportunity in the time domain within one or more associated pattern periods of the SSB and PRACH transmission opportunities, every M1 PRACH transmission opportunities are divided into a first PRACH transmission opportunity group, where M1 is the maximum number of PRACH repeated transmissions in the network side configuration.
[0103] Two schemes are provided for dividing the second PRACH transmission opportunity group, namely sub-scheme 2-1 and sub-scheme 2-2.
[0104] Sub-scheme 2-1: Starting from the first PRACH transmission opportunity in the first PRACH transmission opportunity group, M2 PRACH transmission opportunities are divided into a second PRACH transmission opportunity group, where M2 is the non-maximum number of PRACH repeated transmissions in the network side configuration.
[0105] Sub-scheme 2-2: Starting from the first PRACH transmission opportunity in the first PRACH transmission opportunity group, every M2 PRACH transmission opportunities are divided into a second PRACH transmission opportunity group until the number of remaining PRACH transmission opportunities is less than M2, where M2 is the non-maximum number of PRACH repeated transmissions in the network side configuration.
[0106] Below are some examples of the use of the two sub-schemas.
[0107] Assume that within one or more associated pattern periods of SSB and PRACH transmission opportunities, there are 8 PRACH transmission opportunities that have the same mapping relationship with SSB in the time domain (the frequency-division multiplexing PRACH transmission opportunity counts as 1, which refers to the number of PRACH transmission opportunities with different time domain positions), the frequency-division multiplexing parameter of PRACH is 2, the number of PRACH repetition transmissions configured on the network side is 2, 4, and 8 times, and PRACH frequency hopping transmission is not enabled on the network side.
[0108] like Figure 4Sub-scheme 2-1 shown: According to the number of PRACH repeated transmissions = 8, PRACH transmission opportunities #0, #2, #4, #6, #8, #10, #12, #14 are divided into a first PRACH transmission opportunity group, and PRACH transmission opportunities #1, #3, #5, #7, #9, #11, #13, #15 are divided into a first PRACH transmission opportunity group. According to the number of PRACH repeated transmissions = 2, PRACH transmission opportunities #1, #3 are divided into a second PRACH transmission opportunity group, and PRACH transmission opportunities #0, #2 are divided into a second PRACH transmission opportunity group. According to the number of PRACH repeated transmissions = 4, PRACH transmission opportunities #1, #3, #5, #7 are divided into a second PRACH transmission opportunity group, and PRACH transmission opportunities #0, #2, #4, #6 are divided into a second PRACH transmission opportunity group. In summary, in this embodiment, there are 2 PRACH transmission opportunity groups with a PRACH repetition transmission number of 2, 2 PRACH transmission opportunity groups with a PRACH repetition transmission number of 4, and 2 PRACH transmission opportunity groups with a PRACH repetition transmission number of 8.
[0109] like Figure 5Sub-scheme 2-2 shown: according to the number of PRACH repeated transmissions = 8, PRACH transmission opportunities #0, #2, #4, #6, #8, #10, #12, #14 are divided into a first PRACH transmission opportunity group, and PRACH transmission opportunities #1, #3, #5, #7, #9, #11, #13, #15 are divided into a first PRACH transmission opportunity group. According to the number of PRACH repeated transmissions = 2, PRACH transmission opportunities #1 and #3 are divided into a second PRACH transmission opportunity group, PRACH transmission opportunities #0 and #2 are divided into a second PRACH transmission opportunity group, PRACH transmission opportunities #5 and #7 are divided into a second PRACH transmission opportunity group, PRACH transmission opportunities #4 and #6 are divided into a second PRACH transmission opportunity group, PRACH transmission opportunities #9 and #11 are divided into a second PRACH transmission opportunity group, PRACH transmission opportunities #8 and #10 are divided into a second PRACH transmission opportunity group, PRACH transmission opportunities #13 and #15 are divided into a second PRACH transmission opportunity group, and PRACH transmission opportunities #12 and #14 are divided into a second PRACH transmission opportunity group. According to the number of PRACH repetition transmissions = 4, PRACH transmission opportunities #1, #3, #5, #7 are divided into a second PRACH transmission opportunity group, PRACH transmission opportunities #0, #2, #4, #6 are divided into a second PRACH transmission opportunity group, PRACH transmission opportunities #9, #11, #13, #15 are divided into a second PRACH transmission opportunity group, and PRACH transmission opportunities #8, #10, #12, #14 are divided into a second PRACH transmission opportunity group. In summary, in this embodiment, there are 8 PRACH transmission opportunity groups with a PRACH repetition transmission number of 2, 4 PRACH transmission opportunity groups with a PRACH repetition transmission number of 4, and 2 PRACH transmission opportunity groups with a PRACH repetition transmission number of 8.
[0110] Scenario 3:
[0111] When the network side configuration includes multiple PRACH repetition transmission times, the first PRACH transmission opportunity group is divided respectively according to the multiple PRACH repetition transmission times.
[0112] When the network side configuration includes multiple PRACH repetition transmission times, starting from the first PRACH transmission opportunity in the time domain within one or more associated pattern periods of the SSB and PRACH transmission opportunities, every M3 PRACH transmission opportunities are divided into a first PRACH transmission opportunity group until the number of remaining PRACH transmission opportunities is less than M3, where M3 is the different PRACH repetition transmission times in the network side configuration.
[0113] Some examples of using Scheme 3 are listed below.
[0114] Assume that within one or more associated pattern periods of SSB and PRACH transmission opportunities, there are 8 PRACH transmission opportunities with the same mapping relationship with SSB in the time domain (the frequency division multiplexing PRACH transmission opportunity is counted as 1, which refers to the number of PRACH transmission opportunities with different time domain positions), the frequency division multiplexing parameter of PRACH is 2, the number of PRACH repetitions configured on the network side is 2, 4, and 8 times, and the network side does not enable PRACH frequency hopping transmission. Under the above configuration, the division result of this embodiment happens to be as follows Figure 5 As shown, the difference is that: Scheme 3 includes the first PRACH transmission timing group, while sub-scheme 2-2 includes the first / second PRACH transmission timing group.
[0115] like Figure 5Scheme 3 shown: According to the number of PRACH repeated transmissions = 8, PRACH transmission opportunities #0, #2, #4, #6, #8, #10, #12, #14 are divided into a first PRACH transmission opportunity group, and PRACH transmission opportunities #1, #3, #5, #7, #9, #11, #13, #15 are divided into a first PRACH transmission opportunity group. According to the number of PRACH repeated transmissions = 2, PRACH transmission opportunities #1 and #3 are divided into a first PRACH transmission opportunity group, PRACH transmission opportunities #0 and #2 are divided into a first PRACH transmission opportunity group, PRACH transmission opportunities #5 and #7 are divided into a first PRACH transmission opportunity group, PRACH transmission opportunities #4 and #6 are divided into a first PRACH transmission opportunity group, PRACH transmission opportunities #9 and #11 are divided into a first PRACH transmission opportunity group, PRACH transmission opportunities #8 and #10 are divided into a first PRACH transmission opportunity group, PRACH transmission opportunities #13 and #15 are divided into a first PRACH transmission opportunity group, and PRACH transmission opportunities #12 and #14 are divided into a first PRACH transmission opportunity group. According to the number of PRACH repetition transmissions = 4, PRACH transmission opportunities #1, #3, #5, #7 are divided into a first PRACH transmission opportunity group, PRACH transmission opportunities #0, #2, #4, #6 are divided into a first PRACH transmission opportunity group, PRACH transmission opportunities #9, #11, #13, #15 are divided into a first PRACH transmission opportunity group, and PRACH transmission opportunities #8, #10, #12, #14 are divided into a first PRACH transmission opportunity group.
[0116] As mentioned above, Scheme 0, Scheme 1, Scheme 2, and Scheme 3 are applicable to both situations where PRACH frequency hopping transmission is not enabled and situations where PRACH frequency hopping transmission is enabled. The above focuses on describing the common parts of Scheme 0, Scheme 1, Scheme 2, and Scheme 3 that are applicable to both situations where PRACH frequency hopping transmission is not enabled and situations where PRACH frequency hopping transmission is enabled. The following describes the difference between the two situations where Scheme 0, Scheme 1, Scheme 2, and Scheme 3 are applicable to both situations where PRACH frequency hopping transmission is not enabled and situations where PRACH frequency hopping transmission is enabled.
[0117] Solution 0, Solution 1, Solution 2, Solution 3: When the first indicator indicates that PRACH frequency hopping transmission is not enabled, the PRACH transmission opportunities in the same PRACH transmission opportunity group are at the same frequency domain position.
[0118] Scheme 0, Scheme 1, Scheme 2, Scheme 3: When the first indicator indicates to turn on PRACH frequency hopping transmission, the division starts from the first PRACH transmission opportunity in the time domain and frequency domain within one or more associated pattern periods of the SSB and PRACH transmission opportunities, and the network side configuration also includes a first offset value for frequency hopping. According to the first offset value, the corresponding PRACH transmission opportunity is selected and divided into the same PRACH transmission opportunity group.
[0119] Based on the mapping relationship between SSB and PRACH transmission opportunity, when the first offset value has a unique value, the first offset value is set by default. When the first offset value is set by default, there is currently only one PRACH transmission opportunity group division scheme, and only PRACH transmission opportunities at different frequency domain positions need to be selected and divided into the PRACH transmission opportunity group.
[0120] like Figure 6 The PRACH transmission opportunity group division scheme for enabling PRACH frequency hopping transmission is shown. Assume that within one or more associated pattern periods of SSB and PRACH transmission opportunity, there are 4 PRACH transmission opportunities with the same mapping relationship with SSB in the time domain (the frequency division multiplexing transmission opportunity counts as 1, which refers to the number of PRACH transmission opportunities with different time domain positions), the frequency division multiplexing parameter of PRACH is 4, the number of PRACH repetition transmissions configured on the network side is 2,4 times, the network side is configured to enable PRACH frequency hopping transmission, and the first offset value is default. Under the above network side configuration, according to the division method of sub-scheme 2-1 of scheme 2, according to the number of PRACH repeated transmissions = 4, PRACH transmission opportunities #0, #6, #8, #14 are divided into a first PRACH transmission opportunity group; PRACH transmission opportunities #1, #7, #9, #15 are divided into a first PRACH transmission opportunity group; PRACH transmission opportunities #2, #4, #10, #12 are divided into a first PRACH transmission opportunity group; PRACH transmission opportunities #3, #5, #11, #13 are divided into a first PRACH transmission opportunity group. According to the number of PRACH repetition transmissions = 2, PRACH transmission opportunities #0 and #6 are divided into a second PRACH transmission opportunity group; PRACH transmission opportunities #1 and #7 are divided into a second PRACH transmission opportunity group; PRACH transmission opportunities #2 and #4 are divided into a second PRACH transmission opportunity group; PRACH transmission opportunities #3 and #5 are divided into a second PRACH transmission opportunity group. In summary, in this embodiment, there are 4 PRACH transmission opportunity groups with a PRACH repetition transmission number of 2, and there are 4 PRACH transmission opportunity groups with a PRACH repetition transmission number of 4.
