A portion of the window member 100 connected to the window chamfered curved portion 140 and included in the first window extension 131, the second window extension 133, the third window extension 135, and the fourth window extension 137 may be defined as a window chamfered extension 150. The window chamfered extension 150 may be parallel to the third direction DR3 and may be bent around an axis parallel to the third direction DR3.
[0092] Considered in another way, the window chamfer extension 150 can be a portion of the window member 100 that is different from the first window extension 131, the second window extension 133, the third window extension 135, and the fourth window extension 137 rather than included therein, for example, by Figure 5 The dotted line in FIG. 1 shows a portion of the window. The window chamfer extension 150 can connect two adjacent window extensions to each other. Here, the two adjacent window extensions can be longitudinally extended in single directions different from each other to be connected to each other through the window chamfer extension 150.
[0093] In an embodiment of the present invention, four window chamfer extensions 150 may be provided in the window member 100 to correspond to the corners of the display device 1000 .
[0094] Refer again Figures 2 to 4 The display panel 200 may include an upper flat portion 210, a first upper curved portion 221, a second upper curved portion 223, a third upper curved portion 225 and a fourth upper curved portion 227, a first extended flat portion 231, a second extended flat portion 233, a third extended flat portion 235 and a fourth extended flat portion 237, a first lower curved portion 241, a second lower curved portion 243, a third lower curved portion 245 and a fourth lower curved portion 247, and a first lower flat portion 251, a second lower flat portion 253, a third lower flat portion 255 and a fourth lower flat portion 257.
[0095] The upper flat portion 210, the first upper curved portion 221, the second upper curved portion 223, the third upper curved portion 225 and the fourth upper curved portion 227, the first extended flat portion 231, the second extended flat portion 233, the third extended flat portion 235 and the fourth extended flat portion 237, the first lower curved portion 241, the second lower curved portion 243, the third lower curved portion 245 and the fourth lower curved portion 247 and the first lower flat portion 251, the second lower flat portion 253, the third lower flat portion 255 and the fourth lower flat portion 257 are not physically separated from each other, but are distinguished from each other for the purpose of ease and convenience of description in the embodiments of the present invention. That is, one or more elements among the upper flat portion 210, the first upper curved portion 221, the second upper curved portion 223, the third upper curved portion 225 and the fourth upper curved portion 227, the first extended flat portion 231, the second extended flat portion 233, the third extended flat portion 235 and the fourth extended flat portion 237, the first lower curved portion 241, the second lower curved portion 243, the third lower curved portion 245 and the fourth lower curved portion 247 and the first lower flat portion 251, the second lower flat portion 253, the third lower flat portion 255 and the fourth lower flat portion 257 may extend to define one or more other elements among these portions.
[0096] The upper flat portion 210 may be disposed in a plane parallel to a plane defined by the first direction DR1 and the second direction DR2, and may have a flat shape. The upper flat portion 210 of the display panel 200 may overlap the window flat portion 110 of the window member 100 along the third direction DR3. In an embodiment of the present invention, the upper flat portion 210 may have a shape corresponding to the shape of the window flat portion 110. In other words, the upper flat portion 210 may have an overall chamfered rectangular shape so that the corners of the upper flat portion 210 are curved in a top plan view.
[0097] The upper flat portion 210 may define its sides in top plan view, for example, by Figure 2 The first upper curved portion 221, the second upper curved portion 223, the third upper curved portion 225, and the fourth upper curved portion 227 may extend from four sides of the upper flat portion 210, respectively. The first upper curved portion 221, the second upper curved portion 223, the third upper curved portion 225, and the fourth upper curved portion 227 may have shapes corresponding to those of the first window curved portion 121, the second window curved portion 123, the third window curved portion 125, and the fourth window curved portion 127, respectively, and may overlap the first window curved portion 121, the second window curved portion 123, the third window curved portion 125, and the fourth window curved portion 127, respectively. The first upper curved portion 221, the second upper curved portion 223, the third upper curved portion 225, and the fourth upper curved portion 227 may have shapes that are bent or folded from corresponding sides of the upper flat portion 210, respectively.
[0098] The first upper curved portion 221, the second upper curved portion 223, the third upper curved portion 225, and the fourth upper curved portion 227 may be bent in a downward direction from corresponding sides of the upper flat portion 210 (see Figure 2 ). In the cross section, the first upper curved portion 221, the second upper curved portion 223, the third upper curved portion 225, and the fourth upper curved portion 227 may each define a curvature with which the first upper curved portion 221, the second upper curved portion 223, the third upper curved portion 225, and the fourth upper curved portion 227 extend from the upper flat portion 210. The center of curvature of each of the first upper curved portion 221, the second upper curved portion 223, the third upper curved portion 225, and the fourth upper curved portion 227 may be located outside the display panel 200, for example, below the first upper curved portion 221, the second upper curved portion 223, the third upper curved portion 225, and the fourth upper curved portion 227.
[0099] In an embodiment, the centers of curvature of the first upper curved portion 221, the second upper curved portion 223, the third upper curved portion 225, and the fourth upper curved portion 227 may be closer to the first supporting member 310, the second supporting member 320, the third supporting member 330, and the fourth supporting member 340 corresponding to the first upper curved portion 221, the second upper curved portion 223, the third upper curved portion 225, and the fourth upper curved portion 227 than to the first upper curved portion 221, the second upper curved portion 223, the third upper curved portion 225, and the fourth upper curved portion 227.
[0100] The first extended flat portion 231, the second extended flat portion 233, the third extended flat portion 235, and the fourth extended flat portion 237 may extend from the first upper curved portion 221, the second upper curved portion 223, the third upper curved portion 225, and the fourth upper curved portion 227, respectively. The first extended flat portion 231, the second extended flat portion 233, the third extended flat portion 235, and the fourth extended flat portion 237 may have shapes corresponding to those of the first window extension 131, the second window extension 133, the third window extension 135, and the fourth window extension 137, respectively, and may be laterally (e.g., in the direction of the first window extension 131, the second window extension 133, the third window extension 135, and the fourth window extension 137, respectively. Figure 3 In the second direction DR2 or in Figure 4 The first extended flat portion 231, the second extended flat portion 233, the third extended flat portion 235, and the fourth extended flat portion 237 may be flat and may extend parallel to the third direction DR3. In an embodiment, the first extended flat portion 231 and the fourth extended flat portion 237 may be disposed in a plane parallel to a plane defined by the first direction DR1 and the third direction DR3, and the second extended flat portion 233 and the third extended flat portion 235 may be disposed in a plane parallel to a plane defined by the second direction DR2 and the third direction DR3.
[0101] The first lower curved portion 241, the second lower curved portion 243, the third lower curved portion 245, and the fourth lower curved portion 247 may extend from the first extended flat portion 231, the second extended flat portion 233, the third extended flat portion 235, and the fourth extended flat portion 237, respectively. The first lower curved portion 241, the second lower curved portion 243, the third lower curved portion 245, and the fourth lower curved portion 247 may respectively have a shape that is bent or curved with respect to a corresponding side portion of the upper flat portion 210. In an embodiment, for a side portion of the upper flat portion 210 that extends longitudinally in the first direction DR1, a lower curved portion corresponding to this side portion is bent or curved around an axis that extends longitudinally in the first direction DR1.
[0102] With respect to the end portion of the display device 1000, the first lower curved portion 241, the second lower curved portion 243, the third lower curved portion 245, and the fourth lower curved portion 247 may be bent inwardly in a direction toward the center of the upper flat portion 210 (or a point disposed below the upper flat portion 210 and corresponding to the center thereof) and along the thickness direction of the display device 1000. Therefore, the first lower curved portion 241, the second lower curved portion 243, the third lower curved portion 245, and the fourth lower curved portion 247 may not be visible from the front of the display panel 200 in a direction opposite to the third direction DR3. In the cross section, the first lower curved portion 241, the second lower curved portion 243, the third lower curved portion 245, and the fourth lower curved portion 247 may each define a curvature with which the first lower curved portion 241, the second lower curved portion 243, the third lower curved portion 245, and the fourth lower curved portion 247 extend from the first extended flat portion 231, the second extended flat portion 233, the third extended flat portion 235, and the fourth extended flat portion 237. The center of curvature of each of the first lower curved portion 241, the second lower curved portion 243, the third lower curved portion 245, and the fourth lower curved portion 247 may be located above the first lower curved portion 241, the second lower curved portion 243, the third lower curved portion 245, and the fourth lower curved portion 247. In an embodiment, the centers of curvature of the first lower curved portion 241, the second lower curved portion 243, the third lower curved portion 245, and the fourth lower curved portion 247 may be closer to the first supporting member 310, the second supporting member 320, the third supporting member 330, and the fourth supporting member 340 corresponding to the first lower curved portion 241, the second lower curved portion 243, the third lower curved portion 245, and the fourth lower curved portion 247 than to the first lower curved portion 241, the second lower curved portion 243, the third lower curved portion 245, and the fourth lower curved portion 247.
[0103] In a top plan view, the first lower flat portion 251, the second lower flat portion 253, the third lower flat portion 255, and the fourth lower flat portion 257 may extend from the first lower curved portion 241, the second lower curved portion 243, the third lower curved portion 245, and the fourth lower curved portion 247, respectively, toward the center of the upper flat portion 210. A distal end of the display panel 200 may be defined by the first lower flat portion 251, the second lower flat portion 253, the third lower flat portion 255, and the fourth lower flat portion 257, specifically, by ends of the first lower flat portion 251, the second lower flat portion 253, the third lower flat portion 255, and the fourth lower flat portion 257 that are closest to the center of the upper flat portion 210. The first lower flat portion 251, the second lower flat portion 253, the third lower flat portion 255, and the fourth lower flat portion 257 may have a flat shape. In an embodiment, the first lower flat portion 251 , the second lower flat portion 253 , the third lower flat portion 255 , and the fourth lower flat portion 257 may each be disposed in a plane parallel to a plane defined by the first direction DR1 and the second direction DR2 .

[0128] Figure 8 is an enlarged cross-sectional view showing an embodiment of a first supporting member of a display device according to the present invention, and Fig. 9 is an enlarged cross-sectional view showing an embodiment of a fourth supporting member of the display device according to the present invention.
[0129] Reference Figures 2 to 4 , Figure 8 and Fig. 9, the first to fourth supporting members 310 to 340 may be coupled to (e.g., adhered to) the rear surface of the display panel 200 to support the display panel 200. Although not shown in the drawings, fixing members such as adhesives may be respectively provided between the display panel 200 and the first to fourth supporting members 310 to 340 to couple these elements to each other.
[0130] In an embodiment of the present invention, the first to fourth supporting members 310 to 340 may be as follows: Figure 2 Each of the first to fourth support members 310 to 340 may extend longitudinally in a single direction. Figure 2 As shown in FIG. 1 , the first supporting member 310 and the fourth supporting member 340 each extend longitudinally in the first direction DR1 , and the second supporting member 320 and the third supporting member 330 each extend longitudinally in the second direction DR2 .
[0131] The first to fourth supporting members 310 to 340 may include a relatively rigid material. The first to fourth supporting members 310 to 340 may include a plastic material or a metal material.
[0132] The first supporting member 310 may be coupled to the upper flat portion 210, the first upper curved portion 221, the first extended flat portion 231, the first lower curved portion 241, and the first lower flat portion 251 of the display panel 200 to support these elements inside the display device 1000. The first supporting member 310 may be adhered to one or more of the above elements to which the first supporting member 310 is coupled.
[0133] The first supporting member 310 may include a first upper flat supporting portion 311 , a first upper curved supporting portion 313 , a first extended flat supporting portion 315 , a first lower curved supporting portion 317 , and a first lower flat supporting portion 319 .
[0134] The first upper planar support portion 311 may be coupled to (eg, adhered to) the upper planar portion 210, and may have a shape corresponding to a shape of a portion of the upper planar portion 210. The first upper planar support portion 311 may be planar.

[0136] The first extended flat supporting portion 315 may be coupled to (eg, adhered to) the first extended flat portion 231 , and may have a shape corresponding to that of the first extended flat portion 231 .
[0137] The first lower curved supporting portion 317 may be coupled to (eg, adhered to) the first lower curved portion 241 , and may have a shape corresponding to that of the first lower curved portion 241 .
[0138] The first lower flat support portion 319 may be coupled to (such as adhered to) the first lower flat portion 251. The first lower flat support portion 319 may be flat. The first lower flat support portion 319 may have a length greater than that of the first lower flat portion 251. A portion of the first lower flat support portion 319 other than a portion in which the receiving groove GV is defined or formed may have a thickness substantially equal to that of the first upper flat support portion 311, and another portion in which the receiving groove GV is defined or formed may have a thickness less than that of the first upper flat support portion 311. The above-mentioned various thicknesses of the portions of the first support member 310 may be uniform over the entire length of the first support member 310 (i.e., along the first direction DR1). The above-mentioned thicknesses are obtained in a direction perpendicular to the inner surface at various positions along the inner surface of the first support member 310.
[0141] The shape of the fourth lower flat support portion 349 of the fourth support member 340 may be different from the shape of the first lower flat support portion 319 of the first support member 310 , and other portions of the fourth support member 340 may be similar to corresponding portions of the first support member 310 .
[0142] The fourth supporting member 340 may be adhered to the upper flat portion 210, the fourth upper curved portion 227, the fourth extended flat portion 237, the fourth lower curved portion 247, and the fourth lower flat portion 257 of the display panel 200 to support these elements inside the display device 1000. The fourth supporting member 340 may be adhered to one or more of the above-mentioned elements to which the fourth supporting member 340 is coupled.
[0143] The fourth supporting member 340 may include a fourth upper flat supporting portion 341 , a fourth upper curved supporting portion 343 , a fourth extended flat supporting portion 345 , a fourth lower curved supporting portion 347 , and a fourth lower flat supporting portion 349 .
[0144] The fourth upper flat support portion 341, the fourth upper curved support portion 343, the fourth extended flat support portion 345 and the fourth lower curved support portion 347 may respectively have substantially the same shapes as the first upper flat support portion 311, the first upper curved support portion 313, the first extended flat support portion 315 and the first lower curved support portion 317 of the first supporting member 310, and therefore a detailed description thereof is omitted.
[0145] The fourth lower flat support portion 349 may be shorter than the first lower flat support portion 319, such that the fourth lower flat support portion 349 does not extend further than the end of the fourth lower flat portion 257 (e.g., the two are coplanar), or the fourth lower flat support portion 349 extends a smaller distance from the end of the fourth lower flat portion 257 than the first lower flat support portion 319 extends from the end of the first lower flat portion 251. The accommodation groove GV may not be provided in the fourth lower flat support portion 349. That is, the fourth lower flat support portion 349 may have substantially the same thickness as each of the fourth upper flat support portion 341, the fourth upper curved support portion 343, the fourth extended flat support portion 345, and the fourth lower curved support portion 347.
[0146] The second support member 320 and the third support member 330 may have substantially the same shape as the fourth support member 340 .
[0147] The second supporting member 320 may be coupled to the upper flat portion 210, the second upper curved portion 223, the second extended flat portion 233, the second lower curved portion 243, and the second lower flat portion 253 of the display panel 200 to support these elements inside the display device 1000. The second supporting member 320 may be adhered to one or more of the above elements to which the second supporting member 320 is coupled. The second supporting member 320 may include a second upper flat supporting portion 321, a second upper curved supporting portion 323, a second extended flat supporting portion 325, a second lower curved supporting portion 327, and a second lower flat supporting portion 329.
[0148] The third supporting member 330 may be adhered to the upper flat portion 210, the third upper curved portion 225, the third extended flat portion 235, the third lower curved portion 245, and the third lower flat portion 255 of the display panel 200 to support these elements inside the display device 1000. The third supporting member 330 may include a third upper flat supporting portion 331, a third upper curved supporting portion 333, a third extended flat supporting portion 335, a third lower curved supporting portion 337, and a third lower flat supporting portion 339.
[0149] Each of the first upper curved support portion 313, the second upper curved support portion 323, the third upper curved support portion 333, and the fourth upper curved support portion 343 is bent outward from the first upper flat support portion 311, the second upper flat support portion 321, the third upper flat support portion 331, and the fourth upper flat support portion 341, respectively, and in the thickness direction of the display device 1000. Each of the first lower curved support portion 317, the second lower curved support portion 327, the third lower curved support portion 337, and the fourth lower curved support portion 347 is bent inward along the thickness direction and toward a point located below the upper flat portion 210 and corresponding to the center of the upper flat portion 210.
[0150] In an embodiment of the present invention, the first to fourth supporting members 310 to 340 may not overlap with the central area of the upper flat portion 210 of the display panel 200. That is, at the inner area of the display device 1000, the display panel 200 located at a portion of the upper flat portion 210 is exposed from the supporting member 300. However, the embodiment of the present invention is not limited thereto. In another embodiment, the first upper flat supporting portion 311 of the first supporting member 310, the second upper flat supporting portion 321 of the second supporting member 320, the third upper flat supporting portion 331 of the third supporting member 330, and the fourth upper flat supporting portion 341 of the fourth supporting member 340 may be connected to each other to completely overlap with the upper flat portion 210 of the display panel 200. Here, an upper flat portion of the supporting member 300 similar to the upper flat portion 210 of the display panel 200 may extend from the first upper flat supporting portion 311 of the first supporting member 310, the second upper flat supporting portion 321 of the second supporting member 320, the third upper flat supporting portion 331 of the third supporting member 330, and the fourth upper flat supporting portion 341 of the fourth supporting member 340 to connect them to each other.
[0151] Refer again Figure 3 , the display device 1000 may further include a flexible printed circuit board FPCB and a printed circuit board PCB.
[0152] The flexible printed circuit board FPCB may electrically connect the display panel 200 to the printed circuit board PCB. The flexible printed circuit board FPCB may be flexible.
[0153] In an embodiment of the present invention, the flexible printed circuit board FPCB may be coupled to the first lower planar portion 251 , such as adhered to the first lower planar portion 251 .
[0154] The printed circuit board PCB may provide a control signal and / or a driving signal to the display panel 200 through the flexible printed circuit board FPCB to display an image, and / or may receive a control signal and / or a driving signal from the display panel 200 through the flexible printed circuit board FPCB. In an embodiment, such signals may be provided to pixels of the display panel 200, but are not limited thereto.
[0155] The printed circuit board PCB may be thicker than the first lower flat portion 251 of the display panel 200 in a direction perpendicular to the first lower flat supporting portion 319, and may be placed in the receiving groove GV provided in the first lower flat supporting portion 319 of the first supporting member 310. The thickness of the printed circuit board PCB may be substantially equal to the sum of the thickness of the first lower flat portion 251 and the depth of the receiving groove GV, which are also obtained in a direction perpendicular to the first lower flat supporting portion 319.
[0156] According to an embodiment of the present invention, the support member 300 may be disposed to correspond to the curved area of the display panel 200, and thus the support member 300 may support the curved area of the display panel 200 and may improve the mechanical strength of the display device 1000. In addition, due to the support member 300 disposed along the curved area of the display device 1000, the non-display area NDA (see Figure 7 as well as Figure 3 and Figure 4 ) may be disposed at a position not overlapping with the window member 100, but the upper curved portions 221, 223, 225, and 227 and the extended flat portions 231, 233, 235, and 237 of the display panel 200 on which an image is displayed may be disposed at a position overlapping with the window member 100. Therefore, considering that the window member 100 allows the lower portion of the display device 1000 to be visible to the outside thereof, a portion of the non-display area NDA of the display device 1000 visible to the outside may be reduced or removed because the window member 100 does not overlap with the portion of the non-display area NDA. Instead, the portion of the non-display area NDA is covered or blocked by the rear case 400.
[0157] The display device 1000 may further include an electronic component 600. The electronic component 600 may be disposed in a space defined below the display panel 200 and between the first to fourth support members 310 to 340. The electronic component 600 may include components for operating the display device 1000, such as a battery and / or various sensors.
[0158] In an embodiment of the present invention, a portion of the display panel 200 may be closer to the rear housing 400 than the electronic component 600. In an embodiment, for example, when the electronic component 600 is a battery, the first lower flat portion 251, the second lower flat portion 253, the third lower flat portion 255, and the fourth lower flat portion 257 of the display panel 200 may be closer to the rear housing 400 than the electronic component 600. In the display device 1000 according to an embodiment of the present invention, the display panel 200 may have a shape guided by the support member 300. Therefore, the electronic component 600 may be accommodated in the internal space of the support member 300 while reducing the size of the non-display area NDA visible to the outside. Thus, the space utilization of the display device 1000 may be improved or maximized.
