Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a plate heat exchanger and a method for manufacturing such a plate heat exchanger.
[0002] A plate heat exchanger comprises a heat exchanger block constructed of alternatingly arranged heat exchange elements, in particular so-called fins or heat transfer fins, and separator plates. The heat exchange elements are made of corrugated or ribbed aluminum plates, while the separator plates are made of smooth aluminum plates. With the aid of the heat exchange elements and the separator plates, the plate heat exchanger forms a plurality of parallel heat transfer paths in which the process medium can flow and transfer heat indirectly to the process medium guided in the adjacent heat transfer paths.
[0003] A heat exchanger block as described above can consist of a plurality of heat exchanger block modules. According to the company's internal knowledge, these heat exchanger block modules can be interconnected by welded joints. If the process is stable and continuous, then this welded joint is not problematic in terms of the occurrence of cracks. On the contrary, if the process sequence changes significantly and large temperature fluctuations and temperature gradients occur, then the welded joint has the risk of cracking. This must be improved.
[0004] Against this background, it is an object of the present invention to provide an improved plate heat exchanger.
[0005] Therefore, a plate heat exchanger is proposed, comprising a first heat exchanger block module and a second heat exchanger block module, wherein the first heat exchanger block module and the second heat exchanger block module are interconnected by a form-fitting connection, wherein the first heat exchanger block module and the second heat exchanger block module are interconnected by a weld seam, and wherein the weld seam at least partially covers the form-fitting connection. In this case, the first heat exchanger block module has a first cover plate, wherein the second heat exchanger block module has a second cover plate, wherein the first cover plate and the second cover plate are interconnected by a form-fitting connection, wherein the first cover plate and the second cover plate are interconnected form-fittingly by a connecting element, wherein the first cover plate has a recess for accommodating the connecting element, and wherein the second cover plate has a recess for accommodating the connecting element.
[0006] Since the first heat exchanger block module and the second heat exchanger block module are interconnected both by a form-fit connection and a weld seam, the form-fit connection can be designed such that the force transmission between the first heat exchanger block module and the second heat exchanger block module (or vice versa) is transmitted only or almost only by the form-fit connection, so that the weld seam is preferably not subjected to mechanical stress. This reliably prevents the formation of cracks in the weld seam.
[0007] A plate heat exchanger is in particular a so-called plate-fin heat exchanger (PFHE) or may be referred to as such. A plate heat exchanger is constructed from a plurality of alternately arranged heat exchange elements and separator plates. In this case, a separator plate is arranged between two heat exchange elements and a heat exchange element is arranged between two separator plates. Thus, the heat exchange elements and separator plates are stacked on top of each other and form a heat exchanger block of a plate heat exchanger. The heat exchange elements are so-called fins, in particular so-called heat transfer fins or may also be referred to as fins.
[0008] The heat exchange element can be designed as a corrugated plate or a ribbed plate, for example as an aluminum plate. The separator plate is or can be called a separator plate. The separator plate can also be made of aluminum. The heat exchanger block is divided into a first heat exchanger block module and a second heat exchanger block module. Each heat exchanger block module includes any number of heat exchange elements and partitions. In principle, the heat exchanger block can have any number of heat exchanger block modules. The number of heat exchange elements and the number of separators per heat exchanger block module are respectively arbitrary.
[0009] The plate heat exchanger or the above-mentioned heat exchanger block preferably has a rectangular parallelepiped geometry, which has a width or x-direction, a height or y-direction and a depth or z-direction. In the height direction, the heat exchanger block preferably has a larger dimension than in the width direction and the depth direction, thereby resulting in an elongated rectangular parallelepiped geometry of the heat exchanger block.
[0010] Heat exchanger block modules also have this elongated cuboid geometry. Heat exchange elements and separation plates can be arranged adjacent to one another in the depth direction or stacked on top of one another in the height direction. A plate heat exchanger differs from a heat exchanger block in that, in addition to the heat exchanger block, a plate heat exchanger has a plurality of connection devices for supplying fluid to the plate heat exchanger and for discharging fluid from the plate heat exchanger.
[0011] The heat exchange element is preferably surrounded by means of an edge strip, in particular an aluminum edge strip, which is also part of the heat exchanger block. The edge strip is brazed to the separator plate and / or the heat exchange element. The edge strip can form a frame around the relevant heat exchange element. The heat exchanger block can have a cover plate, which terminates the heat exchanger block in the height direction upward and downward. The cover plate can be an external separator plate. The cover plate can be brazed to the outermost heat exchange element. Alternatively, the separator plate can also be arranged between the cover plate and the outermost heat exchange element. The cover plate preferably differs from the separator plate only in terms of its wall thickness or its thickness.
[0012] The plate heat exchanger may be part of a process engineering system. The process engineering system may be, for example, a system for air separation, for producing liquefied gas (liquefied natural gas, LNG), a system for use in the petrochemical industry, etc. The process engineering system may comprise a plurality of such plate heat exchangers. Therefore, a process engineering system having such a plate heat exchanger is also proposed.
[0013] The form-fit connection is produced by engaging two connection partners, in this case a first heat exchanger block module and a second heat exchanger block module, into or behind one another. Thus, the first heat exchanger block module engages in a form-fitting manner into the second heat exchanger block module or vice versa. Specifically, two mutually facing cover plates of the heat exchanger block modules are interconnected in a form-fitting manner. In principle, the form-fit connection can be established and released again as often as required.
[0014] The first heat exchanger block module and the second heat exchanger block module can be interconnected directly or indirectly in a form-fitting manner. In the case of a direct form-fitting connection between the first heat exchanger block module and the second heat exchanger block module, the first heat exchanger block module and the second heat exchanger block module are directly engaged with each other in a form-fitting manner. In the case of an indirect form-fitting connection between the first heat exchanger block module and the second heat exchanger block module, a connecting element is provided, via which the first heat exchanger block module is connected to the second heat exchanger block module in a form-fitting manner.
[0015] The weld seam is preferably applied to the form-fit connection. By means of the weld seam, the form-fit connection can be completely covered. The weld seam is preferably load-free or force-free. The weld seam "covers" or "covers" the form-fit connection in this case, in particular, means that the weld seam is guided over the form-fit connection. In this case, when observing the form-fit connection, the weld seam can cover or cover the form-fit connection so that the form-fit connection is not directly visible.
[0016] The first heat exchanger block module has a first cover plate, wherein the second heat exchanger block module has a second cover plate, and wherein the first cover plate and the second cover plate are interconnected by a form-fitting connection.
[0017] As described above, each heat exchanger block module has two cover plates, between which an active area comprising a plurality of alternately arranged heat exchange elements and separation plates is arranged. The first cover plate of the first heat exchanger block module and the second cover plate of the second heat exchanger block module can be directly engaged with each other in a form-fitting manner. Alternatively, the first cover plate of the first heat exchanger block module and the second cover plate of the second heat exchanger block module can be interconnected in a form-fitting manner by means of an additional connecting element or a plurality of such connecting elements.
[0018] According to one embodiment, the first cover plate and / or the second cover plate each have a thickness of 8 mm to 18 mm, preferably 10 mm to 16 mm, more preferably 12 mm to 14 mm.
[0019] In particular, the cover plate has a thickness of at least 12 mm. The cover plate can be constructed in a multi-layered manner. In this case, "multi-layered" specifically means that the cover plate can have a plurality of layers. These layers can be brazed and / or welded together, for example.
[0020] According to another embodiment, the first cover plate and the second cover plate are interconnected by a weld.
[0021] Specifically, the first heat exchanger block module bears with its first cover plate against the second cover plate of the second heat exchanger block module, or vice versa. Preferably, the weld seam extends completely around the first cover plate and the second cover plate.
[0022] The first cover plate and the second cover plate are interconnected in a form-fitting manner via a connecting element.
[0023] In this case, the first cover plate and the second cover plate are indirectly interconnected via a connecting element. This means in particular that the first cover plate is connected to the connecting element in a form-fitting manner and the connecting element is connected to the second cover plate in a form-fitting manner. The number of connecting elements can be selected in principle freely. Preferably, such connecting elements are provided at least in the region of the heat exchanger block or heat exchanger block module in which the greatest stresses may occur. With the aid of one or more connecting elements, a force transmission from the first cover plate to the second cover plate or vice versa can be achieved. The connecting element can be plate-shaped, for example. The connecting element can also have a double T-shaped or bone-shaped cross section.
[0024] According to another embodiment, the recess of the first cover plate extends from a surface of the first cover plate facing the second cover plate into the first cover plate. Alternatively or additionally, the recess of the second cover plate extends from a surface of the second cover plate facing the first cover plate into the second cover plate.
[0025] The surface of the first cover plate can be referred to as the first surface. The surface of the second cover plate can be referred to as the second surface. The recess of the first cover plate is incorporated into the first surface. This specifically means that the recess of the first cover plate is located below the first surface. The recess of the first cover plate extends from the first surface into the first cover plate. The recess of the first cover plate is therefore arranged in the first cover plate. The first surface and the second surface specifically face each other. Specifically, the first cover plate and the second cover plate are adjacent to each other on their two surfaces. The recess of the second cover plate is incorporated into the second surface. This specifically means that the recess of the second cover plate is located below the second surface. The recess of the second cover plate extends from the second surface into the second cover plate. The recess of the second cover plate is therefore arranged in the second cover plate.
[0026] The first cover plate has a recess for accommodating the connecting element, wherein the second cover plate has a recess for accommodating the connecting element.
[0027] The recesses can be milled grooves, for example. Preferably, a plurality of recesses are provided on the first cover plate. Therefore, a plurality of recesses are also provided on the second cover plate. To connect two heat exchanger block modules, the first cover plate and the second cover plate are aligned so that the recesses of the first cover plate and the recesses of the second cover plate are placed one above the other.
[0028] According to a further embodiment, a plurality of connecting elements are provided, wherein the connecting elements have different thicknesses.
[0029] Alternatively, the connecting elements can also have the same thickness. The number of connecting elements can be selected freely.
[0030] According to a further embodiment, the connecting element is pinned to the first cover plate and the second cover plate by means of pins.
[0031] For this purpose, holes are formed in the first cover plate, the second cover plate and the connecting element, into which the pins can be pressed or knocked. The holes can have a conical or tapered geometry. Therefore, the pins can also have a conical or tapered geometry. The pins can be made of stainless steel, for example.
[0032] According to another embodiment, the weld covers the pin.
[0033] Specifically, the hole for receiving the pin is welded closed or welded by a weld seam. This reliably prevents moisture from penetrating into the hole of the cover plate.
[0034] According to another embodiment, the pin is conical.
[0035] Therefore, the hole for receiving the pin can also be conical. For this purpose, a conical or tapered drill can be used to drill holes in the cover plates of the two heat exchanger block modules. For example, the pin can have a taper of 1°.
[0036] According to another embodiment, the recess of the first cover plate is integrated into the first cover plate by a separate manufacturing process and / or a forming manufacturing process. Alternatively or additionally, the recess of the second cover plate is integrated into the second cover plate by a separate manufacturing process and / or a forming manufacturing process.
[0037] In the separation manufacturing process, the material is removed. In the forming manufacturing process, the material is deformed. Specifically, a grinding manufacturing process such as milling or corrosion is used as the separation manufacturing process. For example, pressing, rolling or forging is used as the forming manufacturing process.
[0038] According to a further embodiment, the first cover plate has a hook, wherein the second cover plate has a hooking portion corresponding to the hook, and wherein the hook engages in the hooking portion in a form-fitting manner.
[0039] The hook preferably extends from the first cover plate toward the second cover plate. The hook can be inserted into the hook-in portion from the side or hooked into the hook-in portion from above. In order to firmly connect the first heat exchanger block module to the second heat exchanger block module, a wedge element can be pressed or knocked into the hook-in portion, thereby wedging the hook into the hook-in portion. The wedge element is strip-shaped. In this case, the wedge element has a wedge shape.
[0040] According to a further embodiment, the first cover plate has an engagement portion in which the connecting element engages in a form-fitting manner, wherein the second cover plate has an engagement portion in which the connecting element engages in a form-fitting manner.
[0041] The joint of the first cover plate and the joint of the second cover plate can be, for example, milled recesses, which are introduced into the relevant cover plates. The joint of the first cover plate and the joint of the second cover plate both have a T-shaped geometry. Therefore, the connecting element has a double T-shaped cross section or a bone-shaped cross section. In order to interconnect two heat exchanger block modules, the joint of the first cover plate and the joint of the second cover plate are aligned with each other so that they are placed on top of each other. The connecting element is then pressed or knocked into the two joints of the two cover plates at the same time.
[0042] According to another embodiment, the connecting element is conical.
[0043] This means in particular that the connecting element tapers from the first end towards the second end.At the same time, however, the connecting element has the above-mentioned double-T-shaped or bone-shaped cross-sectional geometry.
[0044] Furthermore, a method for producing such a plate heat exchanger is proposed. The method comprises the following steps: a) providing a first heat exchanger block module and a second heat exchanger block module, b) interconnecting the first heat exchanger block module and the second heat exchanger block module by a form-fit connection, and c) interconnecting the first heat exchanger block module and the second heat exchanger block module by a weld seam, such that the form-fit connection is at least partially covered by the weld seam. In this case, in step a), a first cover plate of the first heat exchanger block module and a second cover plate of the second heat exchanger block module are interconnected in a form-fitting manner by a connecting element, wherein in step a), a recess for accommodating the connecting element is provided on the first cover plate, and wherein a recess for accommodating the connecting element is applied on the second cover plate.
[0045] Providing the first heat exchanger block module and the second heat exchanger block module in step a) can include manufacturing the first heat exchanger block module and / or the second heat exchanger block module, in particular brazing the heat exchange element, the separator plate and the cover plate. In addition, the arrangement of the heat exchanger block modules can also include introducing a joint and / or a recess on the cover plate. Preferably, the weld is applied after the first heat exchanger block module and the second heat exchanger block module have been interconnected in a form-fitting manner. In particular, the weld can be guided on a form-fitting connection. The weld is preferably stress-free or low-stress.
[0046] In step b), the first cover plate of the first heat exchanger block module and the second cover plate of the second heat exchanger block module are interconnected in a form-fitting manner via connecting elements.
[0047] Specifically, the connecting element is first connected to the first cover plate of the first heat exchanger block module in a form-fitting manner. The connecting element is then connected to the second cover plate of the second heat exchanger block module in a form-fitting manner. This means that the form-fitting connection between the first heat exchanger block module and the second heat exchanger block module is achieved by the connecting element.
[0048] In step a), a recess for accommodating the connecting element is provided in the first cover plate, wherein the recess for accommodating the connecting element is applied to the second cover plate.
[0049] The recess can be provided as a milled recess on the first cover plate and the second cover plate. Alternatively, the recess can also be produced by an etching process or the like.
[0050] According to a further embodiment, in step b), holes are produced in the first cover plate, the second cover plate and the connecting element, wherein the first cover plate, the second cover plate and the connecting element are pinned to one another by pins inserted into the holes.
[0051] Preferably, the connecting element is first inserted into one of the recesses of the first cover plate, and holes are formed in the first cover plate and the connecting element. A conical drill bit can be used for this purpose. A pin is then pressed or hammered in to connect the connecting element to the first cover plate. Subsequently, the second heat exchanger block module with the second cover plate is lowered onto the first cover plate so that the connecting element is accommodated in one of the recesses of the second cover plate. The second cover plate and the connecting element are then provided with holes, into which the pins are also inserted. The pins are then welded closed using a weld.
[0052] According to another embodiment, the recess of the first cover plate is integrated into the first cover plate by a separate manufacturing process and / or a forming manufacturing process. Alternatively or additionally, the recess of the second cover plate is integrated into the second cover plate by a separate manufacturing process and / or a forming manufacturing process.
[0053] The embodiments and descriptions given for the plate heat exchanger apply correspondingly to the method and vice versa.
[0054] In this case, "one" is not necessarily to be understood as being limited to only one element. More precisely, multiple elements, such as two, three or more elements, may also be provided. Any other numerical words used herein should not be understood as limiting the exact number of elements mentioned. More precisely, unless otherwise indicated, the number may deviate upward or downward.
[0055] Other possible embodiments of the plate heat exchanger and / or method also include combinations of features or embodiments not explicitly mentioned above or below in connection with the embodiment description. [0075] In the drawings, identical or functionally equivalent elements are provided with the same reference numerals unless stated otherwise.
[0076] Figure 1 is a schematic perspective view of an embodiment of a plate heat exchanger 1 . Figure 2 is based on Figure 1Schematic perspective view of an embodiment of a heat exchanger block 2 of a plate heat exchanger 1. In the following, reference is made to Figure 1 and Figure 2 .
[0077] With the help of Figure 1 The plate heat exchanger 1 shown can realize heat exchange between a plurality of different fluids A to E. Fluids A to E can also be referred to as one or more process media. The plate heat exchanger 1 is specifically a plate fin heat exchanger (PFHE) or can be referred to as such. The plate heat exchanger 1 is preferably constructed of components, which are made of aluminum and brazed together, specifically brazed together. Therefore, the plate heat exchanger 1 can also be referred to as a brazed aluminum plate fin heat exchanger.
[0078] The heat exchanger block 2 is cuboid or block-shaped and comprises a plurality of channels or heat exchange elements 3 and a plurality of separation plates 4. The heat exchange elements 3 are so-called fins, in particular so-called heat transfer fins, or can also be referred to as fins. The heat exchange elements 3 can be designed as corrugated plates or ribs, for example as aluminum plates. The separation plates 4 are or can be referred to as separation sheets. The separation plates 4 can also be made of aluminum. The number of heat exchange elements 3 and the number of separation plates 4 are respectively arbitrary.
[0079] A coordinate system having a first spatial direction or width direction x, a second spatial direction or height direction y and a third spatial direction or depth direction z is assigned to the heat exchanger block 2. The directions x, y, z are oriented perpendicular to one another. The width direction x can also be referred to as the x direction of the heat exchanger block 2. The height direction y can also be referred to as the y direction of the heat exchanger block 2. The depth direction z can also be referred to as the z direction of the heat exchanger block 2.
[0080] The heat exchange elements 3 and the separation plates 4 are arranged alternately. That is, in each case, a separation plate 4 is positioned between two heat exchange elements 3, respectively, and in each case, a heat exchange element 3 is positioned between two separation plates 4, respectively. In this case, the heat exchange elements 3 and the separation plates 4 can be integrally bonded to each other. In the case of an integrally bonded connection, the connection partners are held together by atomic or molecular forces. The bonded connection is a non-releasable connection that can only be separated by destroying the connection member and / or the connection partner. Specifically, the heat exchange elements 3 and the separation plates 4 can be brazed together, specifically brazed together.
[0081] The heat exchanger block 2 further comprises cover plates 5, 6, between which a plurality of heat exchange elements 3 and a plurality of separator plates 4 are arranged. Specifically, a first cover plate 5 and a second cover plate 6 are provided. The cover plates 5, 6 may have the same structure as the separator plates 4. The cover plates 5, 6 may have a thickness of, for example, 5 mm. Preferably, the cover plates 5, 6 do not have any solder coating. The separator plates 4 preferably have a thickness of 1 mm to 2 mm. Specifically, the cover plates 5, 6 have solder coating on both sides. In this case, the cover plates 5, 6 are positioned on the outer side of the associated outermost heat exchange element 3, and Figure 1 and Figure 2 The heat exchanger block 2 ends in the direction towards the front and towards the rear.
[0082] Furthermore, the heat exchanger block 2 comprises so-called side bars or edge strips 7, 8, which laterally delimit the heat exchange element 3. The edge strips 7, 8 can be bonded, for example brazed, in particular brazed, to the separation plate 4 and / or the heat exchange element 3. The above-mentioned components of the heat exchanger block 2 are made of material 3003 (AlMn1Cu), for example.
[0083] By means of the heat exchanging elements 3 and the separation plates 4 , the plate heat exchanger 1 forms a plurality of parallel heat transfer channels in which the fluids A to E can flow and can indirectly transfer heat to the fluids A to E guided in adjacent heat transfer channels.
[0084] The respective fluids A to E can be supplied to the individual heat transfer channels by means of the connection devices 9 to 18 or can be directed away from the plate heat exchanger 1 by means of such connection devices 9 to 18. The connection devices 9 to 18 are so-called headers or can be referred to as headers. Depending on the function, the connection devices 9 to 18 can also be referred to as distributors or collectors.
[0085] For example, the connection devices 11, 13, 15 are suitable for supplying fluids A, B, D to the plate heat exchanger 1, and the connection devices 9, 10, 12, 14 are suitable for discharging fluids A, C, D, E from the plate heat exchanger 1. Each connection device 9 to 18 is assigned a connector 19 to 25, by means of which the corresponding fluid A to E can be supplied to the respective connection device 9 to 18 or can be directed away from the connection device 9 to 18.
[0086] The connection devices 9 to 18 are bonded to the heat exchanger block 2. In particular, the connection devices 9, 18 are welded to the heat exchanger block 2. The connection devices 9 to 18 can also be brazed, in particular brazed, to the heat exchanger block 2.
[0087] The heat exchanger block 2 comprises a plurality of (specifically six) surfaces or outer surfaces 26, Figure 2Only one surface is provided with a reference numeral. For example, the connection devices 9 to 18 are each welded to one of the outer surfaces 26. The connection devices 9 to 11 can, for example, be arranged on the outer surface 26, which is Figure 2 Reference numerals are provided in the figure.
[0088] The plate heat exchanger 1 may be part of a process engineering system 27. The process engineering system 27 may be, for example, a system for air separation, for producing liquefied gas (liquefied natural gas, LNG), a system for use in the petrochemical industry, etc. The process engineering system 27 may comprise a plurality of such plate heat exchangers 1 .
[0089] Figure 3 is a schematic side view of an embodiment of a heat exchanger block 2A. Figure 4 is based on Figure 3 Schematic cross-sectional view of the heat exchanger block 2A along the section line IV-IV in FIG. Figure 3 and Figure 4 .
[0090] The heat exchanger block 2A includes a plurality of heat exchanger block modules 28, 29. The number of heat exchanger block modules 28, 29 is basically arbitrary. However, in particular, a first heat exchanger block module 28 and a second heat exchanger block module 29 are provided. For example, when viewed along the depth direction z, the heat exchanger block modules 28, 29 are stacked on top of each other.
[0091] Each heat exchanger block module 28, 29 comprises two cover plates 5, 6 as described above, between each of which an active area S with a plurality of alternately arranged heat exchange elements 3 and separation plates 4 is arranged. In this context, "active" specifically means that the active area S can be flowed through by fluids A to E for heat exchange during operation of the plate heat exchanger 1.
[0092] The heat exchanger block modules 28, 29 are interconnected at the mutually facing cover plates 5, 6. For this purpose, a form-fit connection is provided, which will be described in detail below. The form-fit connection is produced by two connection partners engaging with each other or engaging behind each other. In principle, the form-fit connection can be released and reestablished as often as necessary. The form-fit connection between the heat exchanger block modules 28, 29 is used to transfer forces from the first heat exchanger block module 28 to the second heat exchanger block module 29 and vice versa.
[0093] In addition, the cover plates 5, 6 of the two heat exchanger block modules 28, 29 are also welded together. For this purpose, a weld 30 extending along the second spatial direction y is provided. The weld 30 can completely surround the heat exchanger block 2A. However, the weld 30 is preferably not used to transmit forces between the two heat exchanger block modules 28, 29, but only to provide a fluid seal between the heat exchanger block modules 28, 29. In this case, "fluid seal" can refer to gas seal and liquid seal. The weld 30 is at least partially covered by one of the connecting devices 9 to 18. Specifically, in the area of the connecting devices 9 to 18, a fluid-tight seal needs to be performed by the weld 30.
[0094] Figure 5 is based on Figure 3 Detail of V. Figure 6 is another schematic perspective view of a heat exchanger block 2A. Figure 7 is another schematic perspective view of the heat exchanger block 2A. Figures 5 to 7 .
[0095] Specifically, in Figure 5 Only two mutually facing cover plates 5, 6 of two heat exchanger block modules 28, 29 are shown. The cover plates 5, 6 are in contact with each other and are connected in a form-fitting manner. Therefore, the heat exchanger block modules 28, 29 are interconnected in a form-fitting manner via their cover plates 5, 6.
[0096] For the form-fit connection of the two cover plates 5, 6, the first cover plate 5 of the first heat exchanger block module 28 has hooks 31, 32. The number of hooks 31, 32 is essentially arbitrary. Preferably, a plurality of such hooks 31, 32 are provided, which are placed uniformly spaced apart from one another along the second spatial direction y. Viewed along the first spatial direction x, the hooks 31, 32 extend over the entire width of the first heat exchanger block module 28. When viewed along the width of the first heat exchanger block module 28, the hooks 31, 32 are conical.
[0097] The second cover plate 6 of the second heat exchanger block module 29 has hooks 33, 34 corresponding to the hooks 31, 32, into which the hooks 31, 32 can be engaged in order to interconnect the heat exchanger block modules 28, 29 in a form-fitting manner. The hooks 33, 34 are designed as milled recesses or grooves in the second cover plate 6 of the second heat exchanger block module 29. The hooks 31, 32 can be inserted into the hooks 33, 34 laterally along the first spatial direction x. Alternatively, the hooks 31, 32 can also be screwed into the hooks 33, 34 from the front along the third spatial direction z. When viewed along the width of the second heat exchanger block module 29, the hooks 33, 34 are conical.
[0098] In each case, a strip-shaped wedge element 35, 36 (hatched area) is provided between the hook 31, 32 and the hooking-in portion 33, 34. Each pair of hooks 31, 32 and hooking-in portions 33, 34 is assigned a pair of such wedge elements 35, 36. The wedge elements 35, 36 are accommodated in the hooking-in portions 33, 34. By means of the wedge elements 35, 36, the hooks 31, 32 are wedged or clamped in the hooking-in portions 33, 34.
[0099] The wedge elements 35, 36 are wedge-shaped and taper from the outer surface 26 towards the center of the heat exchanger block 2A. In each hooking portion 33, 34, two wedge elements 35, 36 are accommodated, which are driven into the hooking portions 33, 34 from opposite sides of the heat exchanger block 2A.
[0100] The connection of the heat exchanger block modules 28, 29 is performed as follows. First, the two cover plates 5, 6 of the heat exchanger block modules 28, 29 are positioned relative to each other. The heat exchanger block modules 28, 29 are hooked into each other. For this purpose, the hooks 31, 32 are hooked or screwed into the hook-in parts 33, 34. The heat exchanger block modules 28, 29 are locked together by wedge elements 35, 36, which are driven into the hook-in parts 33, 34 from both sides of the heat exchanger block 2A along the first spatial direction x and opposite to the first spatial direction x. Subsequently, a weld seam 30 is produced, which covers the hooks 31, 32, the hook-in parts 33, 34 and the wedge elements 35, 36.
[0101] Figure 8 is a schematic perspective view of another embodiment of a heat exchanger block 2B. Fig. 9 is another schematic perspective view of the heat exchanger block 2B. Figure 8 and Fig. 9 .
[0102] In this embodiment of the heat exchanger block 2B, two heat exchanger block modules 28, 29 are also provided with cover plates 5, 6 on both sides. Strip joints 37, 38 are provided on the first cover plate 5 of the first heat exchanger block module 28. Figure 8 Only two strip-shaped joints are provided with reference numerals. Strip-shaped mating joints 39, 40 corresponding to the joints 37, 38 are provided on the second cover plate 6 of the second heat exchanger block module 29. The joints 37, 38 and the mating joints 39, 40 are joined to each other in such a way that the mating joints 39, 40 are arranged between the two joints 37, 38, and vice versa.
[0103] The joints 37, 38 and the counter-joints 39, 40 each have a plurality of holes 41, 42, of which only two are provided with reference numerals. The holes 41, 42 accommodate bolts or pins 43, 44, which are inserted into the holes 41, 42 from both sides of the heat exchanger block 2B. By means of the pins 43, 44, the heat exchanger block modules 28, 29 are thus interconnected in a form-fitting manner.
[0104] In order to connect the heat exchanger block modules 28, 29, the joints 37, 38 and the mating joints 39, 40 are first constructed on their cover plates 5, 6. This can be done, for example, using a milling process. The cover plates 5, 6 are aligned with each other so that the holes 41, 42 are aligned. The cover plates 5, 6 are then locked together by means of pins 43, 44. The press fit can be achieved by precooling the pins 43, 44. Subsequently, the weld seam 30 described above can be welded on the pins 43, 44.
[0105] Fig.10 is a schematic perspective view of another embodiment of a heat exchanger block 2C. Fig.11 is another schematic perspective view of the heat exchanger block 2C. Fig.10 and Fig.11 .
[0106] As described above, the heat exchanger block 2C includes heat exchanger block modules 28, 29, wherein Fig. 9 and Fig.10 Only the first cover plate 5 of the first heat exchanger block module 28 and the second cover plate 6 of the second heat exchanger block module 29 are shown. Each cover plate 5, 6 has a joint 45, 46. Specifically, the first joint 45 is provided on the first cover plate 5 of the first heat exchanger block module 28, and the second joint 46 is provided on the second cover plate 6 of the second heat exchanger block module 29.
[0107] The first joint 45 has a T-shaped geometry. Therefore, the second joint 46 also has a T-shaped geometry. The two joints 45, 46 together form a double T. The joints 45, 46 can be grooves milled into the cover plates 5, 6. The joints 45, 46 extend through the entire heat exchanger block 2. The joints 45, 46 can be machined to a depth of up to 80 mm with a suitable milling tool. The joints 45, 46 can taper in a wedge shape. The joints 45, 46 can also extend only partially into the heat exchanger block 2 in the form of a blind hole. Any number of joints 45, 46 can be provided, which are arranged evenly spaced from each other.
[0108] The connecting element 47 is accommodated in the joints 45, 46. The connecting element 47 has a double T-shaped or bone-shaped cross section. The connecting element 47 is simultaneously engaged in the joints 45, 46 in order to interconnect the cover plates 5, 6 of the heat exchanger block modules 28, 29 in a form-fitting manner. The number of connecting elements 47 is arbitrary. The connecting element 47 can be at least partially conical or tapered.
[0109] In order to interconnect the heat exchanger block modules 28, 29, the joints 45, 46 are first introduced into the cover plates 5, 6 of the heat exchanger block modules 28, 29. This can be done using a milling process. The joints 45, 46 can also be produced by an etching process or by a diamond-coated forming file. Subsequently, the cover plates 5, 6 are aligned with each other and the connecting element 47 is knocked or pressed into the joints 45, 46. The connecting element 47 is then welded and is thus covered by the weld seam 30 (not shown). A plurality of such joints 45, 46 are arranged in the heat exchanger block 2C. Therefore, it is also possible to place the heat exchanger block modules 28, 29 on top of each other and then produce the joints 45, 46.
[0110] Fig.12 is a schematic diagram of another embodiment of a heat exchanger block 2D. Fig.13 is a schematic plan view of an embodiment of the first cover plate 5 as described above. Fig.14 is a schematic plan view of an embodiment of the second cover plate 6 as described above. Fig.15 is another schematic diagram of the heat exchanger block 2D. Fig.16 is a schematic exploded view of the heat exchanger block 2D. Figures 12 to 16 .
[0111] As described above, the heat exchanger block 2D includes the heat exchanger block modules 28, 29 having the cover plates 5, 6 facing each other. Figures 12 to 16 In the figure, only two cover plates 5, 6 are shown. The cover plates 5, 6 may have a thickness d5, d6 of, for example, 5 mm. However, preferably, the first cover plate 5 and / or the second cover plate 6 each have a thickness d5, d6 of 8 mm to 18 mm, preferably 10 mm to 16 mm, more preferably 12 mm to 14 mm. Specifically, the cover plates 5, 6 have a thickness d5, d6 of at least 12 mm.
[0112] Each cover plate 5, 6 comprises a plurality of grooves or recesses 48 to 53. In this case, the recesses 48 to 50 are assigned to the first cover plate 5 and the recesses 51 to 53 are assigned to the second cover plate 6. The recesses 48 to 53 can be rectangular grooves milled into the relevant cover plate 5, 6. The number of recesses 48 to 53 is arbitrary. In particular, the cover plates 5, 6 are aligned so that the recesses 48 to 50 and the recesses 51 to 53 are flush.
[0113] The recesses 48 to 50 of the first cover plate 5 are interconnected by holes 54 to 56 oriented perpendicularly to the recesses 48 to 50. The number of holes 54 to 56 is arbitrary. The holes 54 to 56 are evenly spaced from each other. The holes 54 to 56 are conical. The recesses 51 to 53 of the second cover plate 6 are interconnected by holes 57 to 59 oriented perpendicularly to the recesses 51 to 53. The number of holes 57 to 59 is arbitrary. The holes 57 to 59 are evenly spaced from each other. The holes 57 to 59 are also conical.
[0114] The connecting elements 60 are accommodated in the recesses 48 to 53. In this case, the connecting elements 60 extend from the recesses 48 to 50 of the first cover plate 5 into the recesses 51 to 53 of the second cover plate 6. The number of connecting elements 60 is arbitrary. Each connecting element 60 comprises an opening or hole 61 to 63. The holes 61 to 63 and the holes 57 to 59 are arranged flush. Bolts or pins 64 to 66 are accommodated in the holes 57 to 59, 61 to 63. The pins 64 to 66 are conical.
[0115] Each connecting element 60 has a thickness d60. The connecting elements 60 may all have the same thickness d60. Alternatively, the connecting elements 60 may also have different thicknesses d60.
[0116] The connection of the two heat exchanger block modules 28, 29 is achieved by first milling recesses 48 to 53 at intervals in the region of the weld seam 30 into the opposing cover plates 5, 6 of the heat exchanger block modules 28, 29 by means of a template or a CNC machine (computer numerical control, CNC) according to the mechanical tensile load. The connecting element 60 is then received in the recesses 48 to 50 of the first cover plate 5 of the first heat exchanger block module 28.
[0117] The second heat exchanger block module 29 is aligned with its second cover plate 6 to the first heat exchanger block module 28 so that when the second heat exchanger block module 29 is lowered, the connecting elements 60 are received in the recesses 51 to 53 of the second cover plate 6 of the second heat exchanger block module 29 .
[0118] After the heat exchanger block modules 28, 29 have been placed on top of each other, with the connecting elements 60 being received in the recesses 51 to 53, holes 54 to 59, 61 to 63 are drilled by means of a conical drill bit (1:50 or 1:100) through the cover plates 5, 6 and the connecting elements 60. Conical pins 64 to 66 are driven into the holes 54 to 59 and 61 to 63, respectively. The holes 54 to 59 are welded closed and then the weld seam 30 is formed between the heat exchanger block modules 28, 29.
[0119] Fig.17 is a schematic exploded detail view of another embodiment of a heat exchanger block 2E.
[0120] The structure of the heat exchanger block 2E is substantially the same as that of the heat exchanger block 2D. The heat exchanger block 2E comprises two heat exchanger block modules 28, 29. The first cover plate 5 of the first heat exchanger block module 28 comprises a plurality of recesses 48 to 50, as previously described with reference to Figures 12 to 16 Therefore, the second heat exchanger block module 29 has corresponding recesses 51 to 53 on its second cover plate 6 .
[0121] Perpendicularly to the recesses 48 to 50, holes 67, 68 are constructed in the relevant cover plates 5, 6, which interconnect all recesses 48 to 50 or recesses 51 to 53. A rotatable shaft 69 (hatched area) passes through the hole 67. The shaft 69 can rotate in the hole 67. A connecting element 70 is connected to the shaft 69 in a rotationally fixed manner. The connecting element 70 has two holes 71, 72. The shaft 69 is received in the hole 71 in a rotationally fixed manner. For example, the connecting element 70 is pinned to the shaft 69.
[0122] The connecting element 70 can rotate together with the shaft 69 and can be moved from the unfolded state (solid line) to the folded state (dashed line). In the folded state, the connecting element 70 is provided with the reference numeral 70 '. The same applies to the hole 72, which is provided with the reference numeral 72 ' in the folded state. In the unfolded state, the connecting element 70 protrudes from the first cover plate 5. In the folded state, the connecting element 70 is completely accommodated in the associated recess 48 to 50. The movement of the connecting element 70 from the unfolded state to the folded state and vice versa is indicated by the double arrow 73.
[0123] The heat exchanger block 2E is mounted as described below. First, the recesses 48 to 53 are formed in the cover plates 5, 6. The holes 67, 68 are provided on both cover plates 5, 6. The connecting elements 70 and the shaft 69 are now mounted on the first cover plate 5 of the first heat exchanger block module 28. All the connecting elements 70 are brought into a folded state.
[0124] The second heat exchanger block module 29 is placed on the first heat exchanger block module 28 so that the recesses 48 to 50 of the first cover plate 5 and the recesses 51 to 53 of the second cover plate 6 are located one above the other. By rotating the relevant axis 69, the connecting element 70 is moved from the folded state to the unfolded state. In this case, the connecting element 70 is folded into the recesses 51 to 53 of the second cover plate 6 of the second heat exchanger block module 29. The other axis 69 is pushed through the holes 68, 72, and thus the first heat exchanger block module 28 is connected to the second heat exchanger block module 29. The holes 67 and 68 are then welded closed and the weld 30 is applied.
[0125] Now back to Figures 12 to 16, the first cover plate 5 has a first surface 74. The recesses 48 to 50 are machined into the first surface 74. This specifically means that the recesses 48 to 50 are located below the first surface 74. The recesses 48 to 50 extend from the first surface 74 into the first cover plate 5.
[0126] The second cover plate 6 has a second surface 75. The first surface 74 and the second surface 75 face each other. In particular, the first cover plate 5 and the second cover plate 6 abut against each other at their two surfaces 74, 75. The recesses 51 to 53 are machined into the second surface 75. This specifically means that the recesses 51 to 53 are located below the second surface 75. The recesses 51 to 53 extend from the second surface 75 into the second cover plate 6. The same applies to Fig.17 Heat exchanger block 2E.
[0127] The recesses 48 to 50 are introduced or incorporated into the first cover plate 5, in particular into the first surface 74, by a separation manufacturing process and / or a forming manufacturing process. Therefore, the recesses 51 to 53 are also introduced or incorporated into the second cover plate 6, in particular into the second surface 75, by a separation manufacturing process and / or a forming manufacturing process. In the separation manufacturing process, material is removed. In the forming manufacturing process, material is deformed. In particular, a grinding manufacturing process such as milling or etching is used as a separation manufacturing process. For example, pressing, rolling or forging is used as a forming manufacturing process. The same applies to the forming manufacturing process according to Fig.17 Heat exchanger block 2E.
[0128] Fig.18 is a schematic block diagram of an embodiment of a method for producing a plate heat exchanger 1 .
[0129] The method is particularly suitable for manufacturing heat exchanger blocks 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, 2E. In the method, a first heat exchanger block module 28 and a second heat exchanger block module 29 are provided in step S1. The arrangement may include manufacturing the heat exchanger block modules 28, 29, particularly brazing the heat exchange element 3 and the separation plate 4.
[0130] In step S2, the first heat exchanger block module 28 and the second heat exchanger block module 29 are interconnected by a form-fit connection. Step S3 of the method comprises interconnecting the first heat exchanger block module 28 and the second heat exchanger block module 29 by a weld seam 30 such that the form-fit connection is at least partially covered by the weld seam 30.
[0131] In step S2 , the first cover plate 5 of the first heat exchanger block module 28 and the second cover plate 6 of the second heat exchanger block module 29 are interconnected in a form-fitting manner via associated connecting elements 47 , 60 , 70 .
[0132] Specifically, in step S1 , a plurality of recesses 48 to 50 are provided on the first cover plate 5 , in each of which the connecting elements 60 , 70 are respectively accommodated, wherein recesses 51 to 53 are also applied on the second cover plate 6 , in which the relevant connecting elements 60 , 70 are also accommodated.
[0133] In step S2, holes 54 to 59, 61 to 63 are made in the first cover plate 5, the second cover plate 6 and the associated connecting element 60, wherein the first cover plate 5, the second cover plate 6 and the connecting element 60 are pinned to each other by pins 64 to 66. Thus, the cover plates 5, 6 and one connecting element 60 or a plurality of connecting elements 60 are integrally interconnected.
[0134] Although the invention has been described with reference to embodiments, it can be modified in many ways within the scope of the claims.
