Abstract

The present disclosure provides an optical system, a camera module and a terminal device, and belongs to the technical field of optical imaging. The optical system comprises a prism and a lens assembly; the prism comprises an image side; the lens assembly is located on the side where the image side is located, and the first optical axis of the lens assembly is arranged in coincidence with the second optical axis of the image side; the size of the lens assembly in at least one direction perpendicular to the first optical axis is L1, and the size of the prism in the same direction is L2, wherein L1<=L2. The optical system of the present disclosure comprises a prism and a lens assembly, the size L1 of the lens assembly in at least one direction perpendicular to the first optical axis is less than or equal to the size L2 of the prism in the same direction, so that the size of the entire optical system in the direction is less than or equal to L2, and the size of the optical system in the direction is small, which can meet the miniaturization and micro-miniaturization development requirements of the camera module.
