[0079] Figure 1 A schematic diagram of CSI resource configuration according to an example is shown.

[0080] In CSI (Channel State Information) measurement, the UE (User Equipment) shall perform measurement based on CSI-RS (Reference Signal) and may report corresponding reports to the gNB.

[0081] CSI-RS: CSI-RS can be used for time / frequency tracking, CSI calculation, L1 (Layer 1)-RSRP (Reference Signal Received Power) calculation, L1-SINR (Signal to Interference and Noise Ratio) calculation, mobility, and tracking during fast SCell (Secondary Cell) activation.

[0082] CSI: The time and frequency resources that can be used by the UE to report CSI are controlled by the gNB. CSI may include channel quality indicator (CQI), precoding matrix indicator (PMI), CSI-RS resource indicator (CRI), SS / PBCH block resource indicator (SSBRI), layer indicator (LI), rank indicator (RI), L1-RSRP, L1-SINR or Capability[Set]Index.

[0083] CSI-RS resources: Each CSI resource setting CSI-ResourceConfig contains a configuration of a list of S≥1 CSI resource sets (given by the higher-level parameter CSI-RS-ResourceSetList), where the list includes references to one or both of (multiple) NZP (non-zero power) CSI-RS resource sets and (multiple) SS / PBCH block sets, or the list includes references to (multiple) CSI-IM (interference measurement) resource sets. Each CSI resource setting is located in a DL (downlink) BWP (bandwidth part) identified by the higher-level parameter BWP-id, and all CSI resource settings linked to a CSI reporting setting have the same DL BWP. The time domain behavior of the CSI-RS resources within a CSI resource setting is indicated by the higher-level parameter resourceType and can be set to aperiodic, periodic or semi-persistent.

[0084] CSI reporting: Each reporting setting CSI-ReportConfig is associated to a single downlink BWP for channel measurement (indicated by the higher-level parameter BWP-Id) given in the associated CSI-ResourceConfig. The time domain behavior of the CSI-ReportConfig is indicated by the higher-level parameter reportConfigType and can be set to "aperiodic", "semiPersistentOnPUCCH", "semiPersistentOnPUSCH" or "periodic". For "periodic" and "semiPersistentOnPUCCH" / "semiPersistentOnPUSCH" CSI reporting, the configured periodicity and slot offset are applied to the numerology of the UL BWP on which the CSI report is configured to be sent. The higher-level parameter reportQuantity indicates the CSI-related, L1-RSRP-related, L1-SINR-related or Capability[Set]Index-related quantity to be reported.

[0085] For aperiodic CSI-RS reporting, RRC configures CSI-AperiodicTriggerStateList, which includes an associatedReportConfigInfoList list, and associatedReportConfigInfoList indicates multiple CSI report configurations (hereinafter also referred to as CSI measurement report configurations). DCI can trigger an entry in CSI-AperiodicTriggerStageList. The UE will measure CSI and report CSI according to the triggered entry. In some embodiments, CSI measurement report is also called CSI report or CSI.

[0086] For semi-persistent reporting on PUSCH, a set of trigger states is configured by the higher layer CSI-SemiPersistentOnPUSCH-TriggerStateList, where the CSI request field in the DCI scrambled with SP (semi-persistent)-CSI-RNTI activates one of the trigger states. The UE does not expect to receive DCI scrambled with SP-CSI-RNTI, which activates a semi-persistent CSI report with the same CSI-ReportConfigId as in the semi-persistent CSI report activated by the previously received DCI scrambled with SP-CSI-RNTI. The semi-persistent CSI measurement report may include a semi-persistent PUSCH CSI measurement report or a semi-persistent PUCCH CSI measurement report.

[0087] For semi-persistent reporting on PUCCH, the PUCCH resource used to send CSI reports is configured by reportConfigType. Semi-persistent reporting on PUCCH is activated by an activation command of MAC CE.

[0088] The number of CSI-RS ports is configured by nrofPorts in CSI-ResourceMapping, which is associated with NZP-CSI-RS-Resource. nrofPorts can be one of the following: p1, p2, p4, p8, p12, p16, p24, p32, where p1 indicates one port, p2 indicates two ports, p8 indicates eight ports, and so on.

[0089] If the number of base station antennas changes, the number of CSI-RS ports may also need to change. For example, a base station with 4 antennas can support 4-port CSI-RS. If the number of antennas is reduced to 2 antennas, the base station cannot support 4-port CSI-RS. Therefore, UEs should be supported to perform CSI-RS measurements using different numbers of ports. Moreover, the number of CSI-RS ports used can vary according to the change in the number of base station antennas. In the prior art, most CSI-RS resource settings are configured through RRC (Radio Resource Control) signaling and are UE-specific configurations. If the gNB wants to change the number of CSI-RS ports for a UE in a cell, the RRC signaling overhead may be high. Therefore, a new CSI-RS setting indication method should be considered.

[0090] In some embodiments, in order to reduce the power consumption of the gNB, the number of antennas or antenna ports can be changed or reduced. In some embodiments, the CSI measurement or CSI report can also change with the change of the number of antennas or antenna ports.

[0091] In some embodiments, the UE may perform one or more of the following operations, but is not limited thereto.

[0092] RRC signaling is received, where the RRC signaling includes at least CSI-RS configuration information.

[0093] A first signaling is received, where the first signaling includes a CSI-RS configuration indication.

[0094] The measurement and CSI reporting are performed according to the RRC signaling and / or the first signaling.

[0095] Example 1: The first signaling indicates the maximum number of ports

[0096] In this example, the CSI-RS configuration information is a CSI-RS resource. The UE is configured with multiple CSI-RS resources. Each CSI-RS resource can be associated with port number information. The maximum port number list can be predefined or configured by RRC signaling. The first signaling is DCI. The X bits of the field in the DCI are used to indicate a maximum port number in the maximum port number list. The bit width of the field is determined according to the number of maximum port numbers configured in the list. Each code point indicates a maximum port number. For example, RRC configures two maximum port values {4,8}. Bit "0" indicates that the maximum port value is 4, and bit "1" indicates that the maximum port value is 8. If the UE receives DCI, the CSI-RS resources associated with the port number not greater than the maximum port number are valid / activated, and the CSI-RS resources associated with the port number greater than the maximum port number are invalid / deactivated, then the UE performs measurement and CSI reporting according to the valid / activated CSI-RS resources.

[0097] In some embodiments, the number of ports associated with a CSI-RS resource and / or other configurations described below may be explicitly indicated or implicitly indicated.

[0098] Example 2: The first signaling indicates the port number.

[0099] In this example, the CSI-RS configuration information is a CSI-RS resource. The UE is configured with multiple CSI-RS resources. Each CSI-RS resource can be associated with port number information. The first signaling is DCI. The X-bit field of the field in the DCI is used to indicate the activation / deactivation of the port number list. The port number list table can be predefined or configured by RRC signaling. The bit width of the field is determined according to the port number list table. The table includes multiple port number lists (or port number sets). Each bit indicates the activation / deactivation of the port number set. If the UE receives DCI, the CSI-RS resources associated with the activated port number are valid / activated, and the CSI-RS resources associated with other port numbers are invalid / deactivated, the UE performs measurement and CSI reporting according to the valid / activated CSI-RS resources (see Figure 2 ). The activated port number is the port number in the port number list (or port number set) indicated by the first signaling.

[0100] In the present disclosure, the number of active / valid / enabled ports means activating / valid / enabled CSI-RS resources configured with the number of active / valid / enabled ports.

[0101] The following describes what the CSI-RS configuration means to be valid / activated / enabled in some embodiments, but is not limited thereto.

[0102] In some embodiments, the CSI-RS configuration being valid / activated means that the UE performs measurement according to the valid / activated CSI-RS configuration.

[0103] In some embodiments, the invalid / deactivated CSI-RS configuration means that the UE does not perform measurements according to the invalid / deactivated CSI-RS configuration.

[0104] In some embodiments, for a periodic CSI-RS configuration, the CSI-RS configuration being valid / activated means at least one of the following:

[0105] -UE can measure the periodic CSI-RS configuration;

[0106] - ignore instructions; and / or

[0107] - If the periodic CSI-RS resource is not activated, activate the periodic CSI-RS configuration. In other words, the UE can measure the periodic CSI-RS configuration regardless of whether it was activated before.

[0108] In some embodiments, for periodic CSI-RS configuration, CSI-RS configuration invalid / deactivated means at least one of the following:

[0109] -UE stops measuring the periodic CSI-RS configuration;

[0110] - ignore instructions; and / or

[0111] - Release / deactivate invalid / deactivated periodic CSI-RS configuration.

[0112] In some embodiments, for a semi-persistent CSI-RS configuration, the CSI-RS configuration being valid / activated means at least one of the following:

[0113] -If the semi-persistent CSI-RS configuration has been activated by the MAC CE, the UE may measure the semi-persistent CSI-RS configuration. In the prior art, the semi-persistent CSI-RS resources may be activated by the MAC CE. In this embodiment, the valid / activated (or invalid / deactivated) indication carried by the first signaling is used for the semi-persistent CSI-RS resources that have been activated by the prior art method.

[0114] - ignore instructions; and / or

[0115] -The UE can measure the semi-persistent CSI-RS configuration regardless of whether the semi-persistent CSI-RS configuration has been activated by the MACCE. In other words, an invalid / deactivated semi-persistent CSI-RS resource can be valid / activated. In this embodiment, the valid / activated (or invalid / deactivated) indication carried by the first signaling is used for all semi-persistent CSI-RS resources or CSI reports, regardless of whether they have been activated by the prior art method.

[0116] In some embodiments, for a semi-persistent CSI-RS configuration, CSI-RS configuration invalid / deactivated means at least one of the following:

[0117] -The UE does not measure invalid / deactivated semi-persistent CSI-RS configurations;

[0118] - ignore instructions; and / or

[0119] - Release / deactivate invalid / deactivated semi-persistent CSI-RS configuration.

[0120] In some embodiments, for an aperiodic CSI-RS configuration, the CSI-RS configuration being valid / activated means at least one of the following:

[0121] - The aperiodic CSI-RS configuration may be triggered / activated by another DCI. In other words, the use of a valid / activated aperiodic CSI-RS configuration may be selected.

[0122] - The UE may measure valid / activated aperiodic CSI-RS resources; and / or

[0123] -Ignore instructions.

[0124] In some embodiments, for aperiodic CSI-RS configuration, CSI-RS configuration invalid / deactivated means at least one of the following:

[0125] - An invalid / deactivated aperiodic CSI-RS configuration cannot be triggered / activated by another DCI. In other words, the invalid / deactivated aperiodic CSI-RS configuration cannot be selected for use; and / or

[0126] -Ignore instructions.

[0127] In some embodiments, the another DCI is a DCI having a CSI request field.

[0128] Some aspects of the present disclosure are described below, but the present disclosure is not limited thereto.

[0129] Aspect 1: Configuration information

[0130] Receive high-level signaling. The high-level signaling may be MAC CE signaling or RRC signaling. The high-level signaling includes at least one of the following: CSI-RS configuration information, CSI report configuration, one or more CSI measurement configurations (eg, CSI-MeasConfig) and / or a port number list.

[0131] In some embodiments, the CSI-RS configuration information or CSI report configuration is associated with a port number list, including one or more port numbers (e.g., the number of (multiple) ports, or one or more port number sets (e.g., each set includes one or more port numbers)).

[0132] In some embodiments, different CSI measurement configurations are configured using different high-layer signaling. In other words, each CSI measurement configuration is configured using one signaling. For example, one CSI measurement configuration uses CSI-MeasConfig, and another CSI measurement configuration uses CSI-MeasConfig-1.

[0133] In some embodiments, one or more CSI-MeasConfigs are configured in a list.

[0134] In some embodiments, the maximum number of ports configured in different CSI measurement configurations is different.

[0135] In some embodiments, one or more port numbers or one or more port number sets are associated with at least one of the following: CSI-RS configuration information, CSI measurement report configuration, power control offset adjustment value from the maximum port number, codebook configuration, or CSI-RS resource mapping.

[0136] In some embodiments, the power control offset adjustment value from the maximum number of ports (A) is used to determine the power control offset (e.g., powercontrolOffset) of the CSI-RS configuration having the number of ports in the port number list. For example, the power control offset is equal to A divided by the power control offset of the maximum number of ports.

[0137] In some embodiments, the codebook configuration (eg, CodebookConfig) is configured in the CSI measurement report configuration (eg, CSI-ReportConfig). In some embodiments, the IE CodebookConfig is used to configure the codebooks of type I and type II.

[0138] In some embodiments, a CSI-RS configuration may be configured with more than one port number. The CSI-RS configuration information may include at least one of the following: CSI-ResourceConfig, NZP CSI-RS resource set, NZP CSI-RS resource, CSI-RS resourceMapping, CSI-IM-ResourceSet and / or CSI-IM-Resource.

[0139] In some embodiments, the CDM type or density is assumed to be the same for all port numbers in a port number list (or port number set).

[0140] In some embodiments, the port number list in one CSI-RS configuration shares other configuration information. The other configuration information includes at least one of the following: density, frequencyDomainAllocation, firstOFDMSymbolInTimeDomain, firstOFDMSymbolInTimeDomain2, cdm type, freqBand.

[0141] In some embodiments, the CSI-RS configuration information is configured by a port number list (more than one port number), and the time and / or frequency resources are configured by RRC signaling for the CSI-RS configuration information. The entire time and / or frequency resources are used for the CSI-RS configuration with the maximum port number configured in the port number list, and the time and / or frequency resources of the CSI-RS configuration with other port numbers can be derived from the time or frequency resources configured for the CSI-RS configuration with the maximum port number.

[0142] In some embodiments, the time and / or frequency resources of other port numbers are the same as the first M time and / or frequency resources of the maximum port number (e.g., M=other port number / CDM type number). The first M time and / or frequency resources of the maximum port number are the time and frequency resources of the first M CDM groups of the maximum port number. In some embodiments, the time and / or frequency resources of other port numbers are the same as the M time and / or frequency resources of the maximum port number (e.g., M=other port number / CDM type number). In some embodiments, the M time and / or frequency resources of the maximum port number are the time and frequency resources of the M CDM groups of the maximum port number. In some embodiments, the M CDM groups are configured or predefined by high-level signaling. In some embodiments, the M time and / or frequency resources of the maximum port number are configured or predefined by high-level signaling. In some embodiments, M is configured or predefined by RRC signaling.

[0143] For example, the CSI-RS resource is configured with a port number list {24, 12} and the following information: frequencyDomainAllocation, firstOFDMSymbolInTimeDomain, density, and cdm type. This information can be used to determine the CSI-RS time and frequency resource location, and generate a CSI-RS sequence according to the predefined information. The UE can find a row in the predefined information (for example, see the table below) to determine the CSI-RS time and frequency resource location according to the configuration information.

[0144]

[0145]

[0146] k0, l0, k1, k2, l1 in the above table are obtained according to RRC signaling (eg, frequencyDomainAllocation and firstOFDMSymbolInTimeDomain) and are used to indicate the time and frequency resource locations.

[0147] The time and frequency resources of the 24 ports are the time and frequency resources obtained through RRC signaling and are all in the table. According to the table, the CDM type is fd-CDM2, which means that the number of CDM types is 2. The time and frequency resources of the 12 ports are the first (12 / 2=6) time and frequency resource sets configured by RRC signaling. In other words, in the above table, for the case where port X is 12, (k0, l0), (k1, l0), (k2, l0), (k0, l0+1), (k1, l0+1), (k2, l0+1), (k0, l1) and CDM group indexes 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 can be used as time and frequency resources.

[0148] In some embodiments, the time and frequency resources with smaller port numbers in the port number list are a subset of the time and frequency resources configured by RRC signaling.

[0149] In some embodiments, the CDM group with a smaller port number in the port number list is a subset of the CDM group configured by RRC signaling.

[0150] In some embodiments, the powerControlOffset / powerControlOffsetSS configured by RRC signaling is used for the maximum number of ports in the list of port numbers configured in the CSI-RS resource. The powerControlOffset / powerControlOffsetSS for another number of ports in the list of port numbers configured in the CSI-RS resource is derived from the powerControlOffset / powerControlOffsetSS configured by RRC signaling. The powerControlOffset / powerControlOffsetSS for other number of ports configured in the CSI-RS resource is less than the powerControlOffset / powerControlOffsetSS configured by RRC signaling.

[0151] For example, the powerControlOffset / powerControlOffsetSS for another port number in the port number list configured in the CSI-RS resource is reduced by 10*log compared to the powerControlOffset / powerControlOffsetSS configured by RRC signaling. 10 (P1 / P2) dB. P1 is the maximum number of ports configured in the CSI-RS resource, and P2 is the number of ports in the port number list configured for the CSI RS resource in the CSI-RS resource.

[0152] Aspect 2: Configuration information in another embodiment

[0153] According to another embodiment of the present disclosure, the UE may receive high-layer signaling. The high-layer signaling may be MAC CE signaling or RRC signaling. The high-layer signaling includes at least one of the following: CSI-RS configuration information, CSI report configuration.

[0154] In some embodiments, CSI-RS resources in a set may be configured with different numbers of ports (nrofPorts). CSI-RS resources may be used for a first purpose. The first purpose may include at least channel measurement or interference measurement.

[0155] The purposes may include channel measurement (CSI report configuration configured with resourcesForChannelMeasurement), interference measurement (CSI report configuration configured with csi-IM-ResourcesForInterference), rate matching (configured with ZP-CSI-RS-Resource), or intra-cell interference measurement (CSI report configuration configured with nzp-CSI-RS-ResourcesForInterference).

[0156] In some embodiments, there is a hierarchical relationship between CSI-RS resources configured in a set.

[0157] The hierarchical relationship indicates that the time and / or frequency resource positions of CSI-RS resources configured with a smaller number of ports are a subset of the time and / or frequency resource positions of CSI-RS resources configured with a larger number of ports in a set.

[0158] In some embodiments, a first configuration of a CSI-RS resource configured with a smaller number of ports is a subset of or the same as another CSI-RS resource configured with a larger number of ports. In some embodiments, a certain first configuration of a CSI-RS resource configured with a smaller number of ports is a subset of another CSI-RS resource configured with a larger number of ports. And another first configuration of a CSI-RS resource configured with a smaller number of ports is the same as another CSI-RS resource configured with a larger number of ports.

[0159] The first configuration includes at least one of the following: time and / or frequency resources, CDM type, density, and CDM group index.

[0160] In some embodiments, no CDM is a subset of {FD-CDM2, CDM4(FD2, TB2), CDM8(FD2, TD4)}, FD-CDM2 is a subset of {CDM4(FD2, TB2), CDM8(FD2, TD4)}, and CDM4(FD2, TB2) is a subset of CDM8(FD2, TD4).

[0161] In some embodiments, the smaller density is a subset of the larger density. For example, density 0.5 is a subset of density 1.

[0162] In some embodiments, the time and / or frequency resources of the CSI-RS resources configured with the maximum number of ports are the joint set of time and / or frequency resources of all CSI-RS resources in the set.

[0163] In some embodiments, the powerControlOffset / powerControlOffsetSS configured for a CSI RS resource configured with a smaller number of ports is associated with the powerControlOffset / powerControlOffsetSS configured for a CSI RS resource configured with a larger number of ports. In some embodiments, the powerControlOffset / powerControlOffsetSS configured for a CSI RS resource configured with a smaller number of ports is less than the powerControlOffset / powerControlOffsetSS configured for a CSI RS resource configured with a larger number of ports.

[0164] For example, the powerControlOffset / powerControlOffsetSS configured for a CSI RS resource configured with a smaller number of ports is reduced by 10*log compared to the powerControlOffset / powerControlOffsetSS configured for a CSI RS resource configured with a larger number of ports. 10 (P1 / P2) dB, P1 is the number of ports configured for the CSI RS resource configured with a larger number of ports, and P2 is the number of ports configured for the CSI RS resource configured with a smaller number of ports.

[0165] In some embodiments, the powerControlOffset / powerControlOffsetSS configured for the CSI RS resource configured with a smaller number of ports is associated with the powerControlOffset / powerControlOffsetSS configured for the CSI RS resource configured with the maximum number of ports. In some embodiments, the powerControlOffset / powerControlOffsetSS configured for the CSI RS resource configured with a smaller number of ports is less than the powerControlOffset / powerControlOffsetSS configured for the CSI RS resource configured with the maximum number of ports.

[0166] For example, the powerControlOffset / powerControlOffsetSS configured for a CSI RS resource configured with a smaller number of ports is reduced by 10*log compared to the powerControlOffset / powerControlOffsetSS configured for a CSI RS resource configured with a maximum number of ports. 10 (P1 / P2) dB, P1 is the number of ports configured for the CSI RS resource configured with a larger number of ports, and P2 is the number of ports configured for the CSI RS resource configured with a smaller number of ports.

[0167] Aspect 3: Configuration information in yet another embodiment

[0168] In some embodiments, a UE may be configured with multiple CSI-RS configuration information associated with different port number configurations.

[0169] In some embodiments, there is a hierarchical relationship between CSI-RS configuration information.

[0170] The hierarchical relationship indicates that the time and / or frequency resource positions of the CSI-RS configuration information associated with a smaller port number are a subset of the time and / or frequency resource positions of the CSI-RS configuration information associated with a larger port number.

[0171] In some embodiments, a first configuration of one CSI-RS configuration information associated with a smaller port number configuration is a subset of or the same as another CSI-RS configuration information associated with a larger port number.

[0172] The first configuration includes at least one of the following: time and / or frequency resources, CDM type, density, CDM group index, powerControlOffset or powerControlOffsetSS.

[0173] In some embodiments, no CDM is a subset of {FD-CDM2, CDM4(FD2, TB2), CDM8(FD2, TD4)}, FD-CDM2 is a subset of {CDM4(FD2, TB2), CDM8(FD2, TD4)}, and CDM4(FD2, TB2) is a subset of CDM8(FD2, TD4).

[0174] In some embodiments, the smaller density is a subset of the larger density. For example, density 0.5 is a subset of density 1.

[0175] In some embodiments, the powerControlOffset / powerControlOffsetSS configured for the first CSI RS configuration is less than the powerControlOffset / powerControlOffsetSS configured for the second CSI RS configuration, and / or the powerControlOffset / powerControlOffsetSS configured for the first CSI RS configuration is a subset of the powerControlOffset / powerControlOffsetSS configured for the second CSI RS configuration.

[0176] For example, the powerControlOffset / powerControlOffsetSS configured for the first CSI RS configuration is reduced by 10*log compared to the powerControlOffset / powerControlOffsetSS configured for the second CSI RS configuration. 10 (P1 / P2) dB, P1 is the number of ports configured for the first CSI RS configuration, and P2 is the number of ports configured for the second CSI RS configuration. The first CSI RS configuration is configured with a larger number of ports, and the second CSI RS configuration is configured with a smaller number of ports.

[0177] Aspect 4: First signaling

[0178] In some embodiments, the UE receives a first signaling, the first signaling including a CSI-RS configuration indication. The CSI-RS configuration indication includes at least one of the following: a maximum port number indication, a port number activation / deactivation indication, a maximum port indication, a port number indication, a port number list indication, a base station status indication, an aperiodic CSI-RS resource activation indication, an aperiodic CSI report activation indication, a CSI measurement configuration indication, a semi-persistent CSI-RS resource activation indication, a CSI-RS resource indication, a port number increment and / or a discard indication.

[0179] In some embodiments, the port number increment indicates a change in the number of activated ports. For example, if the current number of activated ports is A and the port number increment is B, the indicated port number is function (A, B), which may be addition or subtraction. In this embodiment, the high-level signaling may configure one or more port number increments, and the first signaling is used to indicate one of the port number increments.

[0180] In some embodiments, the CSI-RS configuration indication associated with the port number indicates that the CSI-RS configuration implicitly or explicitly indicates the port number or the CSI-RS configured with the port number.

[0181] In some embodiments, the discard indication instructs the UE to discard the unsent CSI report. In some embodiments, the discard indication instructs the UE to discard the unsent CSI report and perform CSI measurements based on the currently valid CSI-RS. The reason for the discard indication is that the gNB antenna may change and may affect the CSI measurement performed by the UE. The CSI report generated before the gNB antenna change is incorrect and should be discarded.

[0182] In some embodiments, a CSI measurement configuration (e.g., CSI-MeasConfig) is used to configure a CSI-RS of a serving cell, the serving cell including the CSI-MeasConfig, a channel state information report to be sent on a PUCCH on the serving cell including the CSI-MeasConfig, and a channel state information report on a PUSCH triggered by a DCI received on the serving cell including the CSI-MeasConfig.

[0183] In some embodiments, the CSI measurement configuration indication indicates one or more CSI measurement configurations or one or more CSI measurement configuration IDs.

[0184] In some embodiments, the maximum number of ports indication indicates the maximum number of ports for the UE. In some embodiments. The maximum number of ports indication may be indicated by an index. The maximum number of ports for the UE indicates that the UE performs measurement and / or CSI reporting according to a CSI-RS configuration configured with a number of ports less than or equal to the maximum number of ports. For example, the maximum number of ports indication indicates 8 ports. The UE may measure and report CSI only according to a CSI-RS configuration with a number of ports less than or equal to 8 ports. In other words, a CSI-RS configuration configured with a number of ports greater than the indicated maximum number of ports is disabled / invalid.

[0185] In some embodiments, the port number list indicates one or more port numbers supported by the UE. The port number list for the UE indicates that the UE performs measurement and / or CSI reporting according to a CSI-RS configuration configured with the same port number as the indicated one or more port numbers. In other words, a CSI-RS configuration configured with a port number other than the indicated one or more port numbers is disabled / invalid.

[0186] For example, if the port number list is {1,2,4,8}, the CSI-RS configuration configured with port 1, 2, 4, or 8 is enabled / valid, and the CSI-RS configuration configured with port 12, 16, 24, or 32 is disabled / invalid.

[0187] In some embodiments, the maximum port indication indicates the maximum port for the UE. The CSI-RS may be sent via antenna ports 3000, 3001, ..., 3031. The maximum port for the UE indicates that the UE performs measurement and / or CSI reporting based on the CSI-RS sent via an antenna port that is less than or equal to the indicated maximum port.

[0188] In some embodiments, the port indication indicates a port for the UE. The port for the UE indicates that the UE performs measurement and / or CSI reporting according to a CSI-RS transmitted via the same antenna port as the indicated port.

[0189] In some embodiments, the CSI-RS indicates a CSI-RS configuration of an activated UE. The UE may measure CSI based on the activated CSI-RS configuration.

[0190] In some embodiments, the base station state indication indicates the base station energy saving information. For example, the base station has multiple energy saving states, each of which can be associated with a port number. If the base station state is indicated, the CSI-RS configuration configured with the corresponding port number is valid / activated. In another example, if the base station state is indicated, the CSI-RS configuration configured with a port number not greater than the corresponding port number is valid / activated.

[0191] In some embodiments, the non-periodic CSI-RS resource activation indication triggers non-periodic CSI-RS measurement and reporting. In some embodiments, it may implicitly indicate the number of ports. For example, if the UE receives a DCI that triggers non-periodic CSI-RS resources, each triggered non-periodic CSI-RS resource is associated with a port number, and then the CSI-RS configuration or CSI report configured with the same number of ports is activated / used. For another example, if the UE receives a DCI that triggers non-periodic CSI-RS resources, the CSI-RS resources or CSI reports configured with a port number less than or equal to the triggered port number are activated / used.

[0192] In some embodiments, the semi-persistent CSI-RS resource activation indication may activate the semi-persistent CSI-RS resource. It may also implicitly indicate the number of ports. For example, if the UE receives the first signaling (e.g., MAC CE) to activate the semi-persistent CSI-RS resource, a CSI-RS configuration configured with the same number of ports as the number of ports for the activated CSI-RS may also be valid / activated. In another example, if the UE receives the first signaling (e.g., MAC CE) to activate the semi-persistent CSI-RS resource, a CSI-RS configuration configured with a smaller or the same number of ports may also be valid / activated.

[0193] In some embodiments, if the UE receives the first signaling (e.g., MACCE) to activate the semi-persistent CSI-RS resources, each semi-persistent CSI-RS resource is associated with a port number, and a CSI-RS configuration (which is a semi-persistent CSI-RS) configured with the same or smaller port number may also be valid / activated.

[0194] In some embodiments, the first signaling is DCI (Downlink Control Information).

[0195] In some embodiments, the DCI is a group-common DCI. Group-common DCI means that the DCI carries information of one or more UEs. A field in the DCI is used to indicate information of one or more UEs.

[0196] In some embodiments, the X-bit field in the group-common DCI is used to indicate CSI-RS configuration information of one or more UEs. The CSI-RS configuration information may be indicated by a bitmap or a code point.

[0197] In some embodiments, the CSI-RS configuration information is a port number activation / deactivation indication. The port number activation / deactivation is indicated by a bitmap. For example, each bit in the field indicates a port number activation / deactivation. "0" indicates that the port number is deactivated, and "1" indicates that the port number is activated. The bit and port number mapping can be configured by high-level signaling. (For example, 3 bits corresponding to port numbers 2, 4, and 8, respectively. "011" indicates that port numbers 2 and 4 are valid and port number 8 is invalid.) In some embodiments, the port number being activated or deactivated indicates that the CSI-RS configuration associated with the port number is activated or deactivated. In some embodiments, the port number being activated or deactivated indicates that the CSI report configuration associated with the port number is activated or deactivated.

[0198] In some embodiments, the CSI-RS configuration information is port number list indication information. The port number list indication information is indicated by a code point.

[0199] In some embodiments, the bit width of the field is determined based on higher layer signaling.

[0200] For example, the bit width of the field is explicitly configured by higher layer signaling.

[0201] For another example, the bit width of the field is derived according to high-level signaling. The bit width is determined according to the number of types of CSI-RS port numbers (K) configured by the UE. In some embodiments, the bit width is function (log2 (K)), which is rounded up or rounded down or rounded to the nearest integer. For example, if the UE is configured with 4 types of CSI-RS port numbers (1 port, 2 ports, 8 ports, 16 ports), the bit width is function (log2 (4)), which is rounded up or rounded down or rounded to the nearest integer. In some embodiments, the bit width is the same as the number of types of CSI-RS port numbers configured by the UE. Each bit indicates an activation / deactivation information of a CSI-RS port of a corresponding type. For example, if the UE is configured with 4 types of CSI-RS port numbers (1 port, 2 ports, 8 ports, 16 ports), the bit width is 4, and the first bit indicates the activation / deactivation information of the CSI-RS configured with 1 port, and so on.

[0202] For another example, the bit width of the field is obtained according to high-layer signaling. The bit width is determined according to the maximum number of ports of the configured CSI-RS UE.

[0203] For another example, the bit width of the field is derived from high-level signaling. The bit width is determined according to the items (entries) configured in the port number list. In some embodiments, the bit width is function (log2 (K)), which is rounded up or rounded down or rounded up. K is the number of items (entries). For example, if the port number list is configured as {{8}, {16}, {4}, {2}}, the bit width is function (log2 (4)).

[0204] For another example, the bit width of the field is derived according to the UE capability. The UE capability may indicate at least one of the following: the maximum number of CSI-RS ports supported by the UE, the type of port number supported by the UE, the maximum type of port number supported by the UE, the number of items in the configurable port number list, and the bit width supported by the UE.

[0205] In some embodiments, the bit width is predefined.

[0206] In some embodiments, the location of the field in the group-common DCI for the UE is configured by higher layer signaling.

[0207] In some embodiments, the DCI is a dedicated DCI. Dedicated DCI means that the DCI carries information of one UE.

[0208] The fields in the dedicated DCI are used to indicate information.

[0209] In some embodiments, the bit width of the field in the dedicated DCI may be determined similarly to the above-described embodiments, and the details in this regard will not be described here.

[0210] Dedicated DCI can be a scheduled DCI or a non-scheduled DCI. A scheduled DCI is a DCI that includes a DL assignment or a UL grant. A non-scheduled DCI is a DCI that does not include scheduling information.

[0211] In some embodiments, the dedicated DCI includes a field indicating the triggering / activation of CSI reporting or CSI-RS, which implicitly indicates the port number, which is the port number configured for CSI-RS.

[0212] In some embodiments, the DCI is a broadcast or multicast DCI.

[0213] The broadcast or multicast DCI is scrambled with at least one of the following RNTIs: MCCH-RNTI (Multicast Broadcast Service Control Channel RNTI), G-RNTI (Group RNTI) and G-CS-RNTI (Group Configuration Scheduling RNTI).

[0214] The field in the broadcast or multicast DCI is used to indicate the CSI-RS configuration information.

[0215] In some embodiments, the bit width of the field in the broadcast or multicast DCI may be determined similarly to the above embodiments, and the details in this regard will not be described here.

[0216] In some embodiments, the DCI is scrambled using a specific RNTI, for example, the specific RNTI is only used for CSI-RS configuration indication.

[0217] In some embodiments, the DCI is scrambled with at least one of the following RNTIs: MCCH-RNTI, G-RNTI, G-CS-RNTI.

[0218] In some embodiments, the DCI is a specific DCI, for example, the specific DCI is only used for CSI-RS configuration indication.

[0219] In some embodiments, the CSI-RS configuration indicated by the DCI may only be used for at least semi-persistent CSI-RS resources or aperiodic CSI-RS resources.

[0220] In some embodiments, the first signaling is a MAC CE.

[0221] In some embodiments, MAC CE is scheduled by broadcast / multicast DCI.

[0222] Each field in the MAC CE indicates an activation / deactivation indication of a port number.

[0223] In some embodiments, the MAC CE is a semi-persistent CSI-RS / CSI-IM resource set activation / deactivation MAC CE.

[0224] In some embodiments, the MAC CE indicates the CSI-RS configuration indication of multiple cells. For example, the MAC CE first indicates the serving cell ID, and then the CSI-RS configuration indication of the serving cell (see Figure 3 ).

[0225] In some embodiments, the CSI-RS configuration indication indicated by the MAC CE may be a CSI-RS resource set activation / deactivation indication.

[0226] In another example, the MAC CE first indicates the serving cell ID, followed by a port number activation / deactivation indication for each port number in the serving cell.

[0227] In some embodiments, the MAC CE includes at least one of the following:

[0228] - CSI-RS configuration indication (e.g., a list of port numbers or a maximum number of ports),

[0229] - a field indicating whether the indicated number of ports is to be activated or deactivated, e.g., the field is set to 1 to indicate activation, otherwise it indicates deactivation;

[0230] -Serving cell ID, which indicates the identity of the serving cell to which the MAC CE applies;

[0231] -BWP ID, which indicates the DL BWP to which the MAC CE applies; and / or

[0232] - A port number list ID indicating a port number list that should be activated or deactivated.

[0233] In some embodiments, the first signaling is a SIB (System Information Block).

[0234] In some embodiments, the first signaling is DCI and MAC CE. DCI is used to indicate a CSI-RS configuration indication of a semi-persistent CSI-RS configuration or an aperiodic CSI-RS configuration. And MAC CE is used to indicate a CSI-RS configuration indication of a semi-persistent CSI-RS configuration or a periodic CSI-RS configuration.

[0235] Aspect 5: UE Behavior

[0236] In some embodiments, the UE may perform, measure and / or send CSI reporting according to RRC signaling and / or first signaling.

[0237] In some embodiments, the UE is configured with a CSI-RS configuration or a CSI report configuration associated with a port number list. In some embodiments, if the UE does not receive a first signaling indicating CSI-RS configuration information (e.g., a port number indication), the UE performs measurement and / or CSI reporting according to all activated CSI-RS configurations. In some embodiments, if the UE does not receive a first signaling indicating CSI-RS configuration information (e.g., a port number indication), if more than one port number is configured in the CSI-RS configuration, the UE uses the maximum port number to perform measurement and / or CSI reporting according to the activated CSI-RS configuration.

[0238] In some embodiments, the TCI state of the semi-persistent CSI-RS or the aperiodic CSI-RS is indicated by the first signaling.

[0239] In some embodiments, the offset of the semi-persistent CSI-RS or the aperiodic CSI-RS is indicated by the first signaling.

[0240] In some embodiments, the offset is indicated in the time domain resource allocation field.

[0241] In some embodiments, if the UE receives first signaling indicating CSI-RS configuration information, the indicated CSI-RS configuration information is applied / valid / activated at least after a time delay (also referred to as a time period in this disclosure).

[0242] In some embodiments, if the UE receives first signaling indicating CSI-RS configuration information, then at least after a first time delay (also referred to as a first time period in this disclosure), the UE performs CSI-RS measurement according to the indicated CSI-RS configuration information.

[0243] In some embodiments, if the UE receives first signaling indicating CSI-RS configuration information, at least after a second time delay (also referred to as a second time period in the present disclosure), the UE reports CSI according to the indicated CSI-RS configuration information. In some embodiments, if the UE receives first signaling indicating CSI-RS configuration information, at least after a second time delay after receiving a valid CSI-RS, the UE reports CSI according to the indicated CSI-RS configuration information. In some embodiments, if the UE receives first signaling indicating CSI-RS configuration information, at least after a valid CSI-RS configuration resource, the UE sends a CSI report.

[0244] In some embodiments, the first time delay may be less than or equal to the second time delay.

[0245] In some embodiments, the time delay / first time delay / second time delay may be associated with at least one of the following: a predefined value, a time domain behavior, a UE capability, a SFN (system frame number), a FR (frequency range) type, a SCS, an ACK, a PUSCH processing time, a CSI calculation time, a PDSCH processing time, a BWP switching delay, a high-layer signaling. In some embodiments, the time delay described in the present disclosure indicates a time period.

[0246] In some embodiments, the time delay / first time delay / second time delay is configured by higher layer signaling.

[0247] In some embodiments, the time delay / first time delay / second time delay is associated with at least UE capabilities and a predefined value. For example, different UE capabilities may be associated with different predefined values.

[0248] In some embodiments, the time delay / first time delay / second time delay is associated with at least the SFN. For example, after the UE receives the SFN in which the first signaling is received, the activated CSI-RS configuration or CSI report configuration is effective from the first time slot in the SFN.

[0249] In some embodiments, the time delay / first time delay / second time delay is at least associated with ACK. For example, after the UE sends an ACK for the first signaling, the activated CSI-RS configuration or CSI report configuration is valid. In another example, after N symbols / time slots / milliseconds / subframes after the UE sends an ACK for the first signaling, the activated CSI-RS configuration or CSI report configuration is valid.

[0250] In some embodiments, the time delay / first time delay / second time delay is at least associated with the BWP switching delay. For example, the activated CSI-RS configuration or CSI report configuration is valid after the BWP switching delay.

[0251] In some embodiments, the time delay / first time delay / second time delay is at least associated with the FR type. For example, the time delay / first time delay / second time delay of FR 1 is smaller than the time delay / first time delay / second time delay of FR 2.

[0252] In some embodiments, the time delay / first time delay / second time delay is at least associated with the PUSCH processing time. For example, the time delay / first time delay / second time delay is greater than or equal to the PUSCH processing time.

[0253] In some embodiments, the time delay / first time delay / second time delay is at least associated with the CSI calculation time. For example, the time delay / first time delay / second time delay is greater than or equal to the CSI calculation time.

[0254] In some embodiments, the time delay / first time delay / second time delay is at least associated with the PDSCH processing time. For example, the time delay / first time delay / second time delay is greater than or equal to the PDSCH processing time.

[0255] In some embodiments, the time delay / first time delay / second time delay is different for CSI-RS resources of different time domain behaviors. The time domain behaviors include "aperiodic", "semi-persistent" and "periodic". For example, the first time delay of the "aperiodic" CSI-RS resource is greater than the first time delay of the "semi-persistent" CSI-RS resource, and the first time delay of the "semi-persistent" CSI-RS resource is greater than the first time delay of the "periodic" CSI-RS resource.

[0256] In some embodiments, for different time domain behavior CSI reports, the time delay / first time delay / second time delay are different.

[0257] In some embodiments, the time delay / first time delay / second time delay is a predefined value. The predefined value may be N symbols / time slot / subframe / milliseconds.

[0258] In some embodiments, the predefined value is N symbols / time slots, and the SCS of the predefined value is based on at least one of the following:

[0259] - the minimum SCS among all active BWPs,

[0260] - a smaller SCS between the DL BWP in which the first signaling is received and the UL BWP in which the CSI report is sent,

[0261] - the minimum SCS among the DL BWP in which the first signaling is received, the DL BWP in which the indicated CSI-RS resources are configured and the UL BWP in which the CSI report is sent,

[0262] - Predefined SCS,

[0263] - the SCS of the DL BWP in which the first signalling is received,

[0264] - the SCS of the DL BWP in which the indicated CSI-RS resource is configured or in which the CSI-RS is received,

[0265] - the SCS of the UL BWP in which the CSI report is sent,

[0266] - The SCS of the scheduling cell, and / or

[0267] -SCS of the scheduled cell.

[0268] In some embodiments, if the UE receives a first signaling indicating a CSI-RS configuration information indication during a time delay / first time delay / second time delay, the UE does not measure the CSI-RS that will not be activated after the time delay / first time delay / second time delay, and the CSI-RS that will not be activated after the time delay / first time delay / second time delay is determined according to the CSI-RS configuration information indication.

[0269] In some embodiments, if the UE receives a first signaling indicating CSI-RS configuration information during the time delay / first time delay / second time delay, if, according to the CSI-RS configuration information indication, the CSI is determined based on a CSI-RS that will not be activated after the time delay / first time delay / second time delay, the UE will not report the CSI.

[0270] In some embodiments, if the UE receives the first signaling indicating a discard indication, the UE will discard the CSI report generated before the first signaling, or the UE will not send the CSI report generated before the first signaling.

[0271] In some embodiments, if the UE receives first signaling indicating CSI-RS configuration information, the activated / valid CSI-RS configuration may be activated at different times for different time domain behaviors. For an aperiodic CSI-RS configuration included in the activated CSI-RS resources, the aperiodic CSI-RS resources begin to be activated after a time delay and end at the end of the scheduled PUSCH containing a report associated with the aperiodic CSI-RS. For a semi-persistent CSI-RS configuration or a periodic CSI-RS configuration included in the activated CSI-RS resources, the semi-persistent CSI-RS configuration or the periodic CSI-RS configuration begins to be activated after a time delay and ends at the time slot in which the deactivation indication is applied.

[0272] In some embodiments, the UE receives first signaling indicating CSI-RS configuration information, and the CSI-RS configuration information is a port number list indication or a port number activation / deactivation indication or a port number indication. If the indicated CSI-RS configuration information includes a port number that the UE is not configured with, the UE ignores the corresponding indication.

[0273] For an example, the UE is configured with a CSI-RS configuration with a port number of {0, 2}. If the UE receives a first signaling indicating activation of a port number of {8}, the UE ignores the indication.

[0274] For another example, the UE is configured with a CSI-RS configuration with a port number of {0, 2}. If the UE receives a first signaling indicating an activation group port number of {8}, the UE deactivates the port number {0, 2}.

[0275] In some embodiments, the UE receives first signaling indicating CSI-RS configuration information, and the CSI-RS configuration information is a port number list indication or a port number activation / deactivation indication or a port number indication. If the indicated CSI-RS configuration information includes a port number that the UE is not configured with, the UE uses the baseline CSI-RS configuration.

[0276] In some embodiments, the baseline CSI-RS configuration is a CSI-RS configuration configured for a predefined number of ports, or a CSI-RS configuration configured with only one number of ports, or if more than one number of ports are configured, a CSI-RS configuration using a maximum number of ports, or a predefined CSI-RS configuration. In some embodiments, the predefined number of ports or the predefined CSI-RS configuration is configured by higher layer signaling.

[0277] In some embodiments, the UE receives a first signaling indicating a CSI-RS configuration indication. The CSI-RS configuration indication may be valid only for a CSI-RS resource or a CSI-RS configuration having a second time domain behavior. For example, the second time domain behavior may be semi-persistent or periodic. For another example, the second time domain behavior includes at least aperiodic.

[0278] In some embodiments, the UE receives a first signaling indicating a CSI-RS configuration indication. The CSI-RS configuration indication may be valid only for CSI-RS resources or CSI-RS configurations having a second purpose. The purposes include channel measurement (CSI report configuration configured with resourcesForChannelMeasurement), interference measurement (CSI report configuration configured with CSI-IM-ResourcesForInterference), rate matching (configured with ZP-CSI-RS-Resource) or intra-cell interference measurement (CSI report configuration configured with nzp-CSI-RS-ResourcesForInterference). For example, the second purpose includes at least channel measurement. For another example, the second purpose includes at least one of the following: channel measurement and intra-cell interference measurement, and rate matching.

[0279] In some embodiments, the UE receives a first signaling indicating a CSI-RS configuration indication. The CSI-RS configuration indication may be valid only for a CSI report configuration configured with a second time domain behavior. The time domain behavior of the CSI report configuration includes "aperiodic", "semiPersistentOnPUCCH", "semiPersistentOnPUSCH" or "periodic". For example, the second time domain behavior includes at least "aperiodic".

[0280] In some embodiments, the CSI-RS configuration and the corresponding CSI measurement report configuration are activated correspondingly. In some embodiments, the CSI-RS configuration and the corresponding CSI measurement report configuration are activated together. For example, if the CSI-RS configuration is activated by the first signaling, the corresponding CSI measurement report configuration is implicitly activated. As another example, if the CSI measurement report configuration is activated by the first signaling, the corresponding CSI-RS configuration is implicitly activated.
