Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a wireless communication method supporting a trigger frame and a wireless communication terminal using the method. Background Art
[0002] In recent years, with the expansion of the supply of mobile devices, wireless local area network (Wireless LAN) technology that can provide fast wireless Internet services to mobile devices has attracted attention. Wireless LAN technology allows mobile devices including smart phones, smart tablets, laptops, portable multimedia players, embedded devices, etc. to wirelessly access the Internet in homes, companies, or special service provision areas based on short-range wireless communication technology.
[0003] Since the initial wireless LAN technology was supported using the frequency of 2.4 GHz, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 802.11 has commercialized or developed various technical standards. First, IEEE 802.11b supports a communication speed of up to 11 Mbps when using the frequency of the 2.4 GHz band. Compared with the frequency of the 2.4 GHz band, which is significantly congested, IEEE 802.11a, which was commercialized after IEEE 802.11b, uses a frequency of the 5 GHz band instead of the 2.4 GHz band to reduce the influence of interference, and by using OFDM technology, the communication speed is increased to a maximum of 54 Mbps. However, the disadvantage of IEEE 802.11a is that the communication distance is shorter than that of IEEE 802.11b. Furthermore, similar to IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g uses a frequency of 2.4 GHz band to achieve a communication speed of 54 Mbps at maximum and satisfies backward compatibility to remarkably draw attention, and further, is superior to IEEE 802.11a in terms of communication distance.
[0004] In addition, as a technical standard established to overcome the limitation of communication speed pointed out as a weakness in wireless LAN, IEEE 802.11n has been provided. IEEE 802.11n aims to improve the speed and reliability of the network and extend the working distance of the wireless network. In more detail, IEEE 802.11n supports high throughput (HT), wherein the data processing speed is a maximum of 540Mbps or higher, and further, based on multiple inputs and multiple outputs (MIMO) technology, wherein multiple antennas are used on both sides of the transmitting unit and the receiving unit to minimize transmission errors and optimize data speed. In addition, the standard can use a coding scheme that sends multiple copies superimposed on each other in order to increase data reliability.
[0005] As the provision of wireless LANs is activated, and further, as the applications using wireless LANs are diversified, the demand for new wireless LAN systems supporting higher throughput (Very High Throughput (VHT)) than the data processing speed supported by IEEE 802.11n has attracted attention. Among them, IEEE 802.11ac supports a wide bandwidth (80 to 160 MHz) in the 5 GHz frequency. The IEEE 802.11ac standard is defined only in the 5 GHz band, but the initial 11ac chipset supports even operation in the 2.4 GHz band for backward compatibility with existing 2.4 GHz band products. Theoretically, according to the standard, the wireless LAN speed of multiple stations can be enabled to reach a minimum of 1 Gbps, and the maximum single link speed can be enabled to reach a minimum of 500 Mbps. This is achieved by extending the concept of the wireless interface received by 802.11n, such as a wider wireless frequency bandwidth (maximum 160 MHz), more MIMO spatial streams (maximum 8), multi-user MIMO, and high-density modulation (maximum 256QAM). In addition, as a scheme for transmitting data by using a 60 GHz band instead of the existing 2.4 GHz / 5 GHz, IEEE 802.11ad has been provided. IEEE 802.11ad is a transmission standard that provides a maximum speed of 7 Gbps by using a beamforming technology, and is suitable for high bit rate moving image streams such as large-scale data or non-compressed HD video. However, since the 60 GHz band is difficult to pass through obstacles, it has a disadvantage in that the 60 GHz band can be used only among devices in a close space.
[0006] As a wireless LAN standard after 802.11ac and 802.11ad, the IEEE 802.11ax (High Efficiency WLAN, HEW) standard for providing efficient and high-performance wireless LAN communication technology in a high-density environment where APs and terminals are concentrated is in the development completion stage. In a wireless LAN environment based on 802.11ax, communication with high-frequency efficiency should be provided indoors / outdoors in the presence of high-density stations and access points (APs), and various technologies to achieve such communication have been developed.
[0007] In order to support new multimedia applications, such as high-definition video and real-time gaming, new wireless LAN standards have been developed to increase the maximum transmission rate. In the IEEE 802.11be Extremely High Throughput (EHT), the 7th generation wireless LAN standard, the standard is being developed with the goal of supporting transmission rates up to 30 Gbps in the 2.4 / 5 / 6 GHz band through wider bandwidth, increased spatial streams, multi-AP collaboration, etc. Summary of the invention

In addition, in special cases, there are terms arbitrarily selected by the applicant, and in this case, their meanings will be explained in the corresponding description part of the present invention. Therefore, it should be understood that the terms used in this specification will not only be analyzed based on the name of the term, but also based on the essential meaning of the term and the content of the entire specification.
[0077] Throughout the specification, when an element is described as being "coupled" to another element, the element may be "directly coupled" to the other element, or "electrically coupled" to the other element via a third element. In addition, unless explicitly stated to the contrary, the word "comprising" will be understood to implicitly include the stated elements, but not to exclude any other elements. In addition, limitations such as "or above" or "or below" based on special thresholds may be appropriately replaced with "greater than" or "less than", respectively. Below, in the present invention, fields and subfields may be used interchangeably.
[0078] Figure 1 A wireless LAN system according to an embodiment of the present invention is illustrated.
[0079] Figure 1 1 is a diagram illustrating a wireless LAN system according to an embodiment of the present invention. The wireless LAN system includes one or more Basic Service Sets (BSSs), and the BSS represents a collection of devices that are successfully synchronized with each other to communicate with each other. Generally, the BSS can be divided into an infrastructure BSS (Infrastructure BSS) and an independent BSS (Independent BSS, IBSS), and Figure 1 An infrastructure BSS is shown between them.
[0080] like Figure 1 As shown, the infrastructure BSS (BSS1 and BSS2) includes one or more stations (STA1, STA2, STA3, STA4 and STA5), access points (AP-1 and AP-2) that serve as stations providing distribution services (Distribution Service), and a distribution system (Distribution System, DS) that connects multiple access points (AP-1 and AP-2).
[0081] The station (STA) is a predetermined device including a medium access control (MAC) and a physical layer (Physical Layer) interface for a wireless medium in accordance with the provisions of the IEEE 802.11 standard, and broadly includes both non-access point (non-AP) stations and access points (APs). In addition, in this specification, the term "terminal" may be used to refer to a non-AP STA or an AP, or both terms. A station for wireless communication includes a processor and a communication unit, and may further include a user interface unit and a display unit according to an embodiment. The processor may generate a frame to be sent via a wireless network, or process a frame received via a wireless network, and further, perform various processes for controlling the station. In addition, the communication unit is functionally connected to the processor, and sends and receives frames via a wireless network for the station. According to the present invention, a terminal may be used as a term including a terminal (user equipment, UE).
[0082] An access point (AP) is an entity that provides access to a distributed system (DS) via a wireless medium for stations associated therewith. In an infrastructure BSS, communication among non-AP stations is performed in principle via an AP, but when a direct link is configured, direct communication is allowed even among non-AP stations. Meanwhile, in the present invention, AP is used as a concept including a personal BSS coordination point (PCP), and in a broad sense may include concepts such as a central controller, a base station (BS), a node B, a base transceiver system (BTS), or a site controller. In the present invention, AP may also be referred to as a base station wireless communication terminal. A base station wireless communication terminal may be used as a term that includes AP, a base station, an eNodeB (eNB), and a transmission point (TP) in a broad sense. In addition, a base station wireless communication terminal may include various types of wireless communication terminals that allocate communication medium resources and perform scheduling in communications with multiple wireless communication terminals.
[0083] Multiple infrastructure BSSs may be connected to each other via a distribution system (DS). In this case, multiple BSSs connected via a distribution system are called an extended service set (ESS).
[0084] Figure 2 The figure shows an independent BSS according to another embodiment of the present invention, which is a wireless LAN system. Figure 2 In the embodiment of Figure 1 Same as or corresponding to Figure 1 Repetitive description of parts of the embodiments will be omitted.
[0085] Because in Figure 2 The BSS3 shown in the figure is an independent BSS and does not include an AP, and all stations STA6 and STA7 are not connected to the AP. An independent BSS is not allowed to access a distributed system and forms a self-contained network. In an independent BSS, corresponding stations STA6 and STA7 can be directly connected to each other.

[0096] Reference Figure 5In a broad sense, a link between the STA 100 and the AP 200 is set up via three steps of scanning, authentication, and association. First, the scanning step is a step in which the STA 100 obtains access information of a BSS operated by the AP 200. Methods for performing scanning include a passive scanning method in which the AP 200 obtains information by using a beacon message (S101) transmitted periodically, and an active scanning method in which the STA 100 sends a probe request to the AP (S103), and obtains access information by receiving a probe response from the AP (S105).
[0097] The STA 100 that successfully receives the wireless access information in the scanning step performs an authentication step by sending an authentication request (S107a) and receiving an authentication response (S107b) from the AP 200. After performing the authentication step, the STA 100 performs an association step by sending an association request (S109a) and receiving an association response (S109b) from the AP 200. In this specification, association basically refers to wireless association, but the present invention is not limited thereto, and association can broadly include both wireless association and wired association.
[0098] Meanwhile, an authentication step (S111) based on 802.1X and an IP address acquisition step (S113) via DHCP may be additionally performed. Figure 5 In the present invention, the authentication server 300 is a server that processes 802.1X-based authentication for the STA 100, and may exist in physical association with the AP 200, or exist as a separate server.
[0099] Figure 6 The diagram shows a Carrier Sense Multiple Access (CSMA) / Collision Avoidance (CA) method used in wireless LAN communication.
[0100] A terminal performing wireless LAN communication checks whether a channel is busy by performing carrier sensing before sending data. When a wireless signal with a preset strength or greater is sensed, the corresponding channel is determined to be busy and the terminal delays access to the corresponding channel. This process is called Clear Channel Assessment (CCA), and the level that determines whether the corresponding signal is sensed is called the CCA threshold. When a wireless signal with a CCA threshold or higher received by the terminal indicates the corresponding terminal as a recipient, the terminal processes the received wireless signal. At the same time, when no wireless signal is detected in the corresponding channel or a wireless signal with a strength less than the CCA threshold is detected, the channel is determined to be idle.
[0101] When it is determined that the channel is idle, each terminal with data to be sent performs a backoff process after an inter-frame space (IFS) time, which depends on the situation of each terminal, for example, after arbitration IFS (AIFS), PCF IFS (PIFS), etc. According to this embodiment, AIFS can be used as a component to replace the existing DCF IFS (DIFS). Each terminal waits while reducing the time slot time as long as the random number determined by the corresponding terminal during the interval of the idle state of the channel, and the terminal that completely runs out of the time slot time attempts to access the corresponding channel. In this way, the interval in which each terminal performs the backoff process is called a contention window interval. Here, the random number can be called a backoff counter. That is, the initial value of the backoff counter is set by an integer, which is a random number obtained by the terminal. When the terminal detects that the channel is idle during the time slot time, the terminal can decrement the backoff counter by 1. In addition, when the backoff counter reaches 0, the terminal can be allowed to perform channel access on the corresponding channel. Therefore, transmission by the terminal may be allowed when the channel is idle during the AIFS time and throughout all time slots corresponding to the backoff counter value.
[0102] When a special terminal successfully accesses a channel, the corresponding terminal can send data through the channel. However, when the terminal attempting to access conflicts with another terminal, the terminals that conflict with each other are respectively assigned new random numbers to perform the fallback process again. According to an embodiment, the random number newly assigned to each terminal can be determined within a range (2*CW), which is twice the range (contention window CW) of the random number previously assigned to the corresponding terminal. At the same time, each terminal attempts to access by performing the fallback process again in the next contention window interval, and in this case, each terminal performs the fallback process from the remaining time slot time in the previous contention window interval. In this way, each terminal performing wireless LAN communication can avoid mutual conflict of special channels.
[0103] <Examples of various PPDU formats>
[0104] Figure 7 An example of the format of a physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) for each of the various standard generations is shown. More specifically, Figure 7 (a) shows an embodiment of a conventional PPDU format based on 802.11a / g. Figure 7 (b) shows an embodiment of the HE PPDU format based on 802.11ax, and Figure 7 (c) shows an embodiment of a non-legacy PPDU (ie, EHT PPDU) format based on 802.11be. Figure 7 (d) illustrates a detailed field configuration of RL-SIG and L-SIG commonly used in the PPDU format.
[0105] Reference Figure 7 (a), the preamble of the legacy PPDU includes a legacy short training field (Legacy Short Training field, L-STF), a legacy long training field (Legacy Long Training field, L-LTF) and a legacy signal field (Legacy Signal field, L-SIG). In an embodiment of the present invention, L-STF, L-LTF and L-SIG may be referred to as a legacy preamble.
[0106] Reference Figure 7(b), the preamble of the HE PPDU also includes a repeated legacy short training field (RL-SIG), a high efficiency signal A field (HE-SIG-A), a high efficiency signal B field (HE-SIG-B), a high efficiency short training field (HE-STF) and a high efficiency long training field (HE-LTF) in the legacy preamble. In an embodiment of the present invention, RL-SIG, HE-SIG-A, HE-SIG-B, HE-STF and HE-LTF may be referred to as HE preambles. The detailed configuration of the HE preamble may be modified according to the HE PPDU format. For example, HE-SIG-B may be used only in the HE MU PPDU format.
[0107] Reference Figure 7 (c), the EHT PPDU also includes a repeated legacy short training field (Repeated Legacy Short Training field, RL-SIG), a universal signal field (U-SIG) and an extremely high throughput signal A field (Extremely High Throughput Signal A field, EHT-SIG-A), an extremely high throughput signal B field (Extremely High Throughput Signal B field, EHT-SIG-B), an extremely high throughput short training field (Extremely High Throughput Short Training field, EHT-STF) and an extremely high throughput long training field (Extremely High Throughput Long Training field, EHT-LTF) in the traditional preamble. In an embodiment of the present invention, RL-SIG, EHT-SIG-A, EHT-SIG-B, EHT-STF and EHT-LTF may be referred to as EHT preambles. The specific configuration of the non-traditional preamble may be modified according to the EHT PPDU format. For example, EHT-SIG-A and EHT-SIG-B may be used only in a portion of the EHT PPDU format.
[0108] 64-FFT OFDM is applied to the L-SIG field included in the preamble of the PPDU, and the L-SIG field includes a total of 64 subcarriers. Among the 64 subcarriers, 48 subcarriers other than the guard subcarrier, the DC subcarrier, and the pilot subcarrier are used for transmission of L-SIG data. BPSK and a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) of code rate = 1 / 2 are applied to the L-SIG, so the L-SIG can include a total of 24 bits of information. Figure 7 (d) illustrates the configuration of 24-bit information of L-SIG.
[0109] Reference Figure 7 (d), L-SIG includes an L_RATE field and an L_LENGTH field. The L_RATE field includes 4 bits and indicates the MCS used for data transmission. Specifically, the L_RATE field indicates a value of a transmission rate of 6 / 9 / 12 / 18 / 24 / 36 / 48 / 54 Mbps obtained by combining a modulation scheme such as BPSK / QPSK / 16-QAM / 64-QAM with a non-efficiency such as 1 / 2, 2 / 3, 3 / 4, etc. The total length of the corresponding PPDU can be indicated by combining the information of the L_RATE field and the information of the L_LENGTH field. In the non-traditional PPDU format, the L_RATE field is configured to a minimum rate of 6 Mbps.
[0110] The unit of the L_LENGTH field may be allocated a total of 12 bits per byte, may be transmitted up to 4095 by signaling, and may indicate the length of the corresponding PPDU by combining with the L_RATE field. In this case, the legacy terminal and the non-legacy terminal may use different methods to interpret the L_LENGTH field.
[0111] First, the method by which a traditional terminal or a non-traditional terminal uses the L_LENGTH field to analyze the length of the corresponding PPDU is as follows. When the value of the L_RATE field is set to indicate 6Mbps, 3 bytes (ie, 24 bits) can be sent during 4μs, which is the duration of one symbol of 64FFT. Therefore, 3 bytes corresponding to the SVC field and the tail field are added to the value of the field L_LENGTH, and the added value is divided by 3 bytes as the transmission amount of one symbol, thereby obtaining the number of symbols based on 64FFT after L-SIG. The number of symbols obtained is multiplied by 4μs (ie, the length of one symbol), and then the time 20μs required for the transmission of L-STF, L-LTF, and L-SIG is added to obtain the length of the corresponding PPDU, that is, the receiving time RXTIME. This can be represented by the following equation 1.
[0112] [Equation 1]
[0113]
[0114] in this case, represents the smallest natural number greater than or equal to x. Since the maximum value of the L_LENGTH field is 4095, the length of the PPDU can be set to be as long as 5.464ms. A non-legacy terminal sending a PPDU should set the L_LENGTH field as shown in Equation 2 below.
[0115] [Equation 2]
[0116]
[0117] Here, TXTIME is the total transmission time constituting the corresponding PPDU and is represented by the following Equation 3. In this case, TX represents the transmission time of X.
[0118] [Equation 3]
[0119] TXTIME(us)=T L-STF +T L-LTF +T L-SIG +T RL-SIG +T U-SIG +(T EHT-SIG-A )+(T EHT-SIG-B )+T EHT-STF +N EHT-LTF ·T EHT-LTF +T DATA
[0120] Referring to the above equation, the length of the PPDU is calculated based on the rounded-up value of L_LENGTH / 3. Therefore, for random values of k, three different values of L_LENGTH={3k+1, 3k+2, 3(k+1)} indicate the same PPDU length.
[0121] Reference Figure 7 (e), the Universal SIG (U-SIG) field continues to exist in subsequent generations of EHT PPDU and wireless LAN PPDU, and is used to classify the generation of PPDU including 11be. U-SIG is an OFDM 2 symbol based on 64FFT and can transmit a total of 52 bits of information. Of the 52 bits, 43 bits other than the 9 bits of CRC / tail are mainly divided into a Version Independent (VI) field and a Version Dependent (VD) field.
[0122] The VI bit enables the current bit configuration to be maintained subsequently, so that even if the next generation of PPDU is defined, the current 11be terminal can obtain information about the PPDU through the VI field of the PPDU. To this end, the VI field includes PHY version, UL / DL, BSS color, TXOP, and reserved fields. The PHY version field is 3 bits and is used to sequentially classify 11be and subsequent generations of wireless LAN standards into versions. The value of 11be is 000b. The UL / DL field identifies whether the PPDU is an uplink / downlink PPDU. The BSS color indicates the identifier of each BSS defined in 11ax and has a value of 6 bits or higher. TXOP indicates the Transmit Opportunity Duration sent in the MAC header, where, by adding TXOP to the PHY header, the PPDU can infer the length of the TXOP included therein without having to decode the MPDU, and TXOP has a value of 7 bits or higher.
[0123] The VD field is signaling information useful only for the 11be version of the PPDU, and may include fields commonly used in any PPDU format such as the PPDU format and the BW, as well as fields defined differently for each PPDU format. The PPDU format is a classifier for classifying EHT Single User (SU), EHT Multiple User (MU), EHT Trigger-based (TB), EHT Extended Range (ER) PPDU, etc. The BW field signals five basic PPDU BW options (BW, which can be expressed in the form of an exponential power of 20*2, and can be referred to as a basic BW) of 20, 40, 80, 160 (80+80) and 320 (160+160) MHz, and various remaining PPDU BWs configured via preamble puncturing. After signaling at 320MHz, signaling may be performed in the form of puncturing of some 80MHz. The punctured and modified channel type may be signaled directly in the BW field, or the punctured and modified channel type may be signaled using the BW field and a field that appears after the BW field (e.g., a field within the EHT-SIG field). If the BW field is configured as 3 bits, a total of 8 BW signalings may be performed, and thus only up to 3 signalings may be performed in the puncturing mode. If the BW field is configured as 4 bits, a total of 16 BW signalings may be performed, and thus up to 11 signalings may be performed in the puncturing mode.
[0124] The field located after the BW field varies depending on the type and format of the PPDU, the MU PPDU and the SU PPDU may be signaled in the same PPDU format, a field for classifying between the MU PPDU and the SU PPDU may be located before the EHT-SIG field, and additional signaling may be performed on the field. Both the SU PPDU and the MU PPDU include the EHT-SIG field, but some fields that are not required in the SU PPDU may be compressed. Information about the field to which compression has been applied may be omitted or may have a size smaller than the size of the original field included in the MU PPDU. For example, in the case of the SU PPDU, the common field of the EHT-SIG may be omitted or replaced, or the SU PPDU may have a different configuration in which the user-specific field is replaced, reduced to one, etc.
[0125] Alternatively, the SU PPDU may further include a compression field indicating whether compression is performed, and a portion of a field (eg, RA field, etc.) may be omitted according to a value of the compression field.
[0126] If a portion of the EHT-SIG field of the SU PPDU is compressed, the information to be included in the compressed field may also be signaled in an uncompressed field (e.g., a common field, etc.). The MU PPDU corresponds to a PPDU format for simultaneous reception by multiple users, and therefore requires that the EHT-SIG field be sent after the U-SIG field, and the amount of information sent may vary. That is, multiple MU PPDUs are sent to multiple STAs, so that each STA should identify the position of the RU to which the MU PPDU is sent, the STAs to which the RUs are respectively allocated, and whether the sent MU PPDU has been sent to the STA itself. Therefore, the AP should send the above information by including it in the EHT-SIG field. To this end, information for effective transmission of the EHT-SIG field is signaled in the U-SIG field, and this may correspond to the MCS as a modulation method and / or the number of symbols in the EHT-SIG field. The EHT-SIG field may include information about the size and position of the RU allocated to each user.
[0127] In the case of a SU PPDU, multiple RUs may be allocated to a STA, and the multiple RUs may be contiguous or discontinuous. If the RUs allocated to the STA are discontinuous, the STA should identify the punctured RUs in the middle in order to effectively receive the SUPPDU. Therefore, the AP may send a SU PPDU including information of the punctured RUs among the RUs allocated to the STA (e.g., a puncture pattern of the RUs, etc.). That is, in the case of a SU PPDU, a puncture mode field may be included in the EHT-SIG field, the puncture mode field including information indicating a puncture pattern and whether a puncture mode is applied in a bitmap format, etc., and the puncture mode field may signal the type of discontinuous channels occurring within the bandwidth.
[0128] The signaled discontinuous channel type is limited and indicates the BW and discontinuous channel information of the SU PPDU combined with the value of the BW field. For example, the SU PPDU is a PPDU sent only to a single terminal, so that the STA can identify the bandwidth allocated to itself via the BW field contained in the PPDU, and the SU PPDU can identify the perforated resources in the allocated bandwidth via the perforation mode field of the EHT-SIG field or the U-SIG field contained in the PPDU. In this case, the terminal can receive the PPDU in the remaining resource units after excluding the special channels of the perforated resource units. Multiple RUs allocated to the STA can be configured by different frequency bands or tones.
[0129] In order to reduce the signaling overhead of the SU PPDU, only limited discontinuous channel types are signaled. Puncturing can be performed for each 20MHz subchannel, so if puncturing is performed for a BW with a large number of 20MHz subchannels (such as 80, 160, and 320MHz), in the case of 320MHz, the discontinuous channel type (if puncturing only for the edge 20MHz is also considered discontinuous) should be signaled by indicating whether each of the remaining 15 20MHz subchannels after excluding the primary channel is used. In this way, considering the low transmission rate of the signaling part, allocating 15 bits to signal the discontinuous channel type of a single user transmission may act as an excessive signaling overhead.
[0130] The present invention proposes a technique for signaling a discontinuous channel type of a SU PPDU and illustrates the discontinuous channel type determined according to the proposed technique. The present invention also proposes a technique for signaling each of the puncturing types of the primary 160 MHz and the secondary 160 MHz in the 320 MHz BW configuration of the SU PPDU.
[0131] In addition, a technique for configuring a PPDU indicated by a leading puncturing BW value differently according to a PPDU format signaled in a PPDU format field is proposed in an embodiment of the present invention. Assuming that the BW field is 4 bits, and in the case of an EHTSU PPDU or a TB PPDU, an EHT-SIG-A of 1 symbol may be additionally signaled after the U-SIG, or the EHT-SIG-A may not be signaled at all, therefore, in view of this, it is necessary to fully signal up to 11 puncturing patterns only via the BW field of the U-SIG. However, in the case of an EHT MU PPDU, an EHT-SIG-B is additionally signaled after the U-SIG, so that up to 11 puncturing patterns may be signaled in a method different from that of the SU PPDU. In the case of an EHT ER PPDU, the BW field may be configured as 1 bit to signal whether the EHT ER PPDU is a PPDU using a 20 MHz band or a 10 MHz band.
[0132] Figure 7 (f) illustrates the configuration of the format-specific field of the VD field when the EHT MU PPDU is indicated in the PPDU format field of the U-SIG. In the case of the MU PPDU, SIG-B is necessarily required, which is a signaling field for simultaneous reception by multiple users, and SIG-B can be sent after the U-SIG without a separate SIG-A. To this end, information for decoding SIG-B should be signaled in the U-SIG. These fields include SIG-B MCS, SIG-BDCM, the number of SIG-B symbols, SIG-B compression, and the number of EHT-LTF symbols, etc.
[0133] Figure 8 Examples of various Extremely High Throughput (EHT) physical protocol data unit (PPDU) formats and a method for indicating the formats according to an embodiment of the present invention are illustrated.
[0134] Reference Figure 8 , the PPDU may include a preamble and a data part, and the EHT PPDU format as the PPDU type may be classified according to the U-SIG field included in the preamble. Specifically, based on the PPDU format field included in the U-SIG field, it may be indicated whether the format of the PPDU is an EHT PPDU.
[0135] Figure 8(a) shows an example of an EHT SU PPDU format for a single STA. The EHT SU PPDU is a PPDU for single user (SU) transmission between an AP and a single STA, and an EHT-SIG-A field for additional signaling may be located after the U-SIG field.
[0136] Figure 8 (b) shows an example of an EHT triggered PPDU format corresponding to an EHT PPDU transmitted based on a trigger frame. The EHT triggered PPDU is an EHT PPDU transmitted based on a trigger frame and is an uplink PPDU for responding to a trigger frame. Unlike the EHT SU PPDU, the EHT-SIG-A field is not located after the U-SIG field in the EHT PPDU.
[0137] Figure 8 (c) shows an example of an EHT MU PPDU format corresponding to an EHT PPDU of multiple users. The EHT MU PPDU is a PPDU for transmitting a PPDU to one or more STAs. In the EHT MU PPDU format, the HE-SIG-B field may be located after the U-SIG field.
[0138] Figure 8 (d) shows an example of an EHT ER SU PPDU format, which is used for single user transmission with STAs within extended range. Figure 8 Compared with the EHT SU PPDU illustrated in (a), the EHT ER SU PPDU can be used for single-user transmission with a wider range of STAs, and the U-SIG field can be repeatedly positioned on the time axis.
[0139] Figure 8 The EHT MU PPDU described in (c) may be used by the AP to perform downlink transmission toward multiple STAs. Here, the EHT MU PPDU may include scheduling information so that multiple STAs can simultaneously receive the PPDU sent from the AP. The EHT MU PPDU may transmit the AID information of the transmitter and / or receiver of the PPDU sent via the user specific field of the EHT-SIG-B to the STA. Therefore, multiple terminals that have received the EHT MU PPDU may perform a spatial reuse operation based on the AID information of the user specific field included in the preamble of the received PPDU.
[0140] Specifically, the resource unit allocation (RA) field of the HE-SIG-B field included in the HE MU PPDU may include information about the configuration of the resource units in a special bandwidth (e.g., 20 MHz, etc.) of the frequency axis (e.g., the division form of the resource units). That is, the RA field may indicate the configuration of the resource units divided in the bandwidth used for transmission of the HE MU PPDU so that the STA receives the PPDU. Information about the STA allocated (or designated) to each divided resource unit may be included in the user special field of the EHT-SIG-B so as to be sent to the STA. That is, the user special field may include one or more user fields corresponding to the corresponding divided resource units.
[0141] For example, a user field corresponding to at least one resource unit used for data transmission among multiple segmented resource units may include an AID of a receiver or a transmitter, and a user field corresponding to the remaining resource units not used for data transmission may include a pre-configured Null STA ID.
[0142] Figure 8 The two or more PPDUs shown in may be indicated as values representing the same PPDU format. That is, two or more PPDUs may be indicated in the same PPDU format by the same value. For example, the EHT SU PPDU and the EHT MU PPDU may be indicated by the same value through the U-SIG PPDU format subfield. In this case, the EHT SU PPDU and the EHT MU PPDU may be distinguished by the number of STAs receiving the PPDU. For example, a PPDU received by only one STA may be identified as an EHT SU PPDU, and when the number of STAs is set to receive two or more STAs, the PPDU may be identified as an EHTMU PPDU. In other words, the same subfield value may be indicated. Figure 8 Two or more PPDU formats as shown in .
[0143] In addition, you can omit Figure 8 Part of the fields or part of the information of the fields shown in the figure, and the case where part of the fields or part of the information of the fields are omitted can be defined as a compression mode (compression mode) or a compressed mode (compressed mode).
[0144] Fig. 9 is a diagram illustrating a multi-link device according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[0145] Reference Fig. 9, the concept of a device to which one or more STAs are affiliated may be defined. As another embodiment, according to an embodiment of the present invention, a device to which more than one STA (i.e., two or more STAs) are affiliated may be defined. In this case, the device may be a logical concept. Therefore, a device to which one or more STAs having such a concept are affiliated may be referred to as a multi-link device (MLD), a multi-band device, or a multi-link logical entity (MLLE).
[0146] Alternatively, the device of the above concept can be called a multi-link entity (MLE). In addition, the MLD can have a medium access control service access point (MAC SAP) to the logical link control (LLC), and the MLD can have a MAC data service.
[0147] The STA included in the MLD may operate on one or more links or channels. That is, the STA included in the MLD may operate on multiple channels that are different from each other. For example, the STA included in the MLD may operate using channels of different frequency bands of 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz. Thus, the MLD may benefit from channel connection and may improve the performance of the entire network. In a wireless LAN of the prior art, operating with a single link, the MLD operation may obtain more channel access opportunities by using multiple links, or the STA may operate effectively on multiple links in consideration of the channel status.
[0148] Furthermore, when the STA belonging to the MLD is an AP, the MLD to which the AP belongs may be the AP MLD. However, when the STA belonging to the MLD is a non-AP STA, the MLD to which the non-AP belongs may be the non-AP MLD.
[0149] Reference Fig. 9 , there may be an MLD including a plurality of STAs, and the plurality of STAs included in the MLD may operate on a plurality of links. Fig. 9In the MLD, an MLD including APs (i.e., AP1, AP2, and AP3) may be referred to as an AP MLD, and an MLD including non-AP STAs (i.e., non-AP STA1, non-AP STA2, and non-AP STA3) may be referred to as a non-AP MLD. The STAs included in the MLD may operate on Link 1 (Link1), Link 2 (Link2), Link 3 (Link3), or some of Links 1 to 3.
[0150] According to an embodiment of the present invention, a multi-link operation may include a multi-link setup operation. The multi-link setup operation may correspond to an association operation performed in a single link operation. In order to exchange frames in multiple links, multiple links may be set first. A multi-link setup element may be used to perform a multi-link setup operation. Here, the multi-link configuration element may include capability information related to the multi-link, and the capability information may include information related to whether another STA included in the MLD can send a frame through another link while a STA included in the MLD receives a frame through a certain link. That is, the capability information may include information related to whether a STA (non-AP STA and / or AP STA) included in the MLD can simultaneously send / receive frames in different transmission directions through a link. In addition, the capability information may also include information related to available links or operating channels. The multi-link setting may be set by negotiation between peer STAs, and the multi-link operation may be set through one link.
[0151] According to an embodiment of the present invention, there may be a mapping relationship between a TID and a link of an MLD. For example, when a TID and a link are mapped, the TID may be sent through the mapped link. The mapping between the TID and the link may be implemented based on the transmission direction (directional-based). For example, mapping may be performed in both directions between MLD1 and MLD2. In addition, there may be a default setting for the mapping between the TID and the link. For example, the mapping between the TID and the link may be that substantially all TIDs are mapped to a certain link.
[0152] Fig.10 A wireless LAN function according to an embodiment of the present invention is shown.
[0153] Reference Fig.10, a wireless LAN of a certain standard may include the functions of a wireless LAN of another standard. Alternatively, in the case of a wireless LAN of a certain standard, it may also be a wireless LAN of another standard. Here, the wireless LAN may mean a STA. Additionally, the wireless LAN here may mean an MLD including a STA. For example, the wireless LAN standard may include the functions of the previous generation standard as well as additional functions. For example, an HT STA may be an OFDM PHY STA. In addition, the HT STA may perform additional functions as well as the functions of an OFDM PHY STA. For example, a VHT STA may also be an HT STA. In addition, a VHT STA may perform additional functions as well as the functions of an HT STA. For example, an HE STA may also be a VHT STA. In addition, an HE STA may perform additional functions as well as the functions of a VHT STA. In addition, an EHT STA may also be an HE STA. In addition, an EHT STA may perform additional functions as well as the functions of an HE STA. In addition, there may be a standard after the EHT standard. In the present invention, the standard after the EHT standard may be referred to as a NEXT standard, and a STA following the NEXT standard may be referred to as a NEXT STA. The NEXT STA may be an EHT STA. Furthermore, the NEXT STA may perform additional functions as well as the functions of the EHT STA.
[0154] Fig.10 is a diagram showing the relationship between STAs of each standard. Fig.10 , EHT STA may be HE STA, VHT STA, HT STA, and OFDM PHY STA. In addition, NEXT STA may be EHT STA, HE STA, VHT STA, HT STA, and OFDM PHY STA.
[0155] Fig.11 An uplink (UL) multi-user (MU) operation according to an embodiment of the present invention is shown.
[0156] Reference Fig.11 , the AP may instruct at least one STA to send a PPDU through a special frame (eg, a triggering frame), and at least one STA may simultaneously send PPDUs of the same or different formats based on the special frame sent from the AP.
[0157] Specifically, Fig.11As shown, a frame that solicits or triggers multi-user (MU) transmission may be sent, and one or more STAs may send or respond to the frame based on the frame. In this case, when one or more STAs send a response to the frame, one or more STAs may respond immediately based on the frame simultaneously, and at the end of the PPDU including the frame, a response to the frame may be sent after SIFS. For example, when the frame indicates an immediate response, one or more STAs may immediately send a response to the frame. The frame that indicates or triggers transmission to one or more STAs may be a trigger frame or a frame that includes information in the MAC header that indicates or triggers uplink transmission to one or more STAs. At this time, the frame may include information in the MAC header that triggers or indicates uplink transmission to only one STA (e.g., a TRS control subfield).
[0158] For example, the information indicating or triggering uplink transmission included in the MAC header may be an HT control field, a control subfield, or a triggered response scheduling (TRS) or a TRS control subfield included in an A-control subfield.
[0159] A frame for indicating or triggering uplink transmission may be sent by the AP, and when the frame for indicating or triggering uplink transmission is a trigger frame, a response thereto may be sent in a trigger-based PPDU (trigger-based, TB PPDU) format. Here, the TB PPDU may include not only the HE TB PPDU and EHT TB PPDU described previously, but also the NEXT TB PPDU defined in the next standard.
[0160] HE TB PPDU may consist of a preamble, data and packet extension (PE), and the preamble may include L-STF, L-LTF, L-SIG, RL-SIG, HE-SIG-A, HE-STF and HE-LTF in sequence.
[0161] EHT TB PPDU and NEXT TB PPDU may also be composed of a preamble, data, and PE, and the preamble of the EHT TB PPDU and NEXT TB PPDU may include L-STF, L-LTF, L-SIG, RL-SIG, U-SIG, (EHT- / NEXT-)STF, and (EHT- / NEXT-)LTF in sequence.
[0162] The frame indicating or triggering PPDU transmission to one or more STAs may include information required for one or more STAs to transmit a TB PPDU. For example, when the type subfield included in the frame is '01' (B3 B2) and the subtype subfield is '0010' (B7 B6 B5 B4), the frame including the type subfield and the subtype subfield may be a trigger frame as a control frame.
[0163] When multiple STAs are instructed or triggered to respond to a TB PPDU, if the formats of the PPDUs to which the multiple STAs respond are different from each other, the AP that instructs or triggers the response may have difficulty receiving the PPDUs as responses sent from the multiple STAs. Alternatively, if the information included in the preamble of the PPDUs to which the multiple STAs respond is different according to the format, the AP that instructs or triggers the response may have difficulty receiving the PPDUs as responses sent from the multiple STAs.
[0164] Therefore, in order to solve this problem, when multiple STAs respond to the AP's frame, the format of the responded PPDU and / or the information included in the preamble of the PPDU may be set to the same type. For example, when multiple STAs send HE TB PPDUs in response to the AP's frame, the AP may send information so that the information included in L-STF, L-LTF, L-SIG, RL-SIG, and HE-SIG-A are the same, or the information included in the HE TB PPDU may be agreed upon so that the AP can successfully receive the preambles sent by multiple STAs. However, if the HE TB PPDU, the EHT TB PPDU, and the NEXT TB PPDU are simultaneously transmitted through overlapping subbands, the AP may have difficulty receiving them because the TB PPDU formats are different from each other.
[0165] According to an embodiment of the present invention, a HE STA may transmit a HE TB PPDU. In addition, an EHT STA may transmit an EHT TB PPDU or an HE TB PPDU. In addition, a NEXT STA may transmit a NEXT TB PPDU, an EHT TB PPDU, or an HE TB PPDU. This is because some standard STAs may include functions of previous standards, such as those described in the previous section. Fig.10 described.
[0166] like Fig.11 As shown in the figure, when the AP sends a frame for scheduling TB PPDU transmission to the HE STA and the EHT STA, and indicates or triggers the TB PPDU transmission through the frame, there may not be an accurate indication or protocol for the TB PPDU format. In this case, the HE STA may send the HE TB PPDU in response to the frame, and the EHT STA may respond with the EHT TB PPDU or the HE TB PPDU. In this case, it may be difficult for the AP to receive the TB PPDU sent by the STA, and the AP may not be able to successfully receive the TB PPDU from multiple STAs, making it impossible to achieve successful transmission, however, the medium is occupied, thereby reducing the transmission opportunities of other STAs.
[0167] Hereinafter, in the present invention, instructing an STA may mean instructing the STA to respond, and triggering and instructing may have the same meaning.
[0168] In addition, the HE trigger frame, the EHT trigger frame and the NEXT trigger frame may be trigger frames defined in the HE, EHT and NEXT standards, respectively. In addition, in the present invention, the HE TRS, the EHT TRS and the NEXT TRS may be TRSs defined in the HE, EHT and NEXT standards, respectively.
[0169] Fig.12 The trigger frame format according to an embodiment of the present invention is shown.
[0170] Fig.12 (a) shows the trigger frame format, and Fig.12 (b) and (c) of FIG. 12 respectively show a common information field (common info (information) field) and a user information field (user info field) included in the trigger frame.
[0171] Reference Fig.12 (a), as a trigger MAC header, the frame may include a frame control field (Frame Control field), a duration field (Durantion field) and an address field (Address field), and may include a common information field and a user information list field. The address field may include a resource allocation (Resource Allocation (RA) field) field and a transmitter address (TA) field.
[0172] The common information field may include information common to all STAs indicated by the trigger frame. Fig.12(b) shows an example of a common information field.
[0173] The user information list field may include 0 or more user information fields, and the user information list field of a trigger frame other than a special type of a trigger frame may include one or more user information fields. Fig.12 (c) shows an example of a user information field.
[0174] The trigger frame may also include a padding field and a frame check sequence (FCS) field. The padding field may be used to increase the length of the frame to ensure the time required for the STA receiving the trigger frame to prepare a response to the trigger frame, and may be selectively included in the trigger frame.
[0175] Reference Fig.12 (b) of the present invention, the common information field may include a trigger type subfield. The trigger type subfield may be used to identify a trigger frame variant. Alternatively, the type of trigger frame may be indicated based on the value of the trigger frame subfield. In addition, based on the trigger type subfield, it may be determined Fig.12 The information and length contained in the Trigger Dependent Common Info subfield and the Trigger Dependent User Info subfield are shown. For example, the trigger type subfield can be represented by bits B0 to B3 of the common information field.
[0176] The common information field may include an uplink length subfield (Uplink (UL) length subfield). The UL length subfield may include information about the length of the TB PPDU as a response to the trigger frame, and may include information about the length of the frame responding to the trigger frame. In addition, the UL length subfield may indicate the value contained in the length subfield of the L-SIG of the TB PPDU responding to the trigger frame. Therefore, the STA that receives the trigger frame and responds with the TB PPDU may set the value of the length subfield included in the L-SIG of the TB PPDU based on the value of the UL length subfield included in the received trigger frame. Specifically, the STA that responds with the TB PPDU may set the length subfield included in the L-SIG of the TB PPDU to the value of the UL length subfield included in the received trigger frame. For example, the STA may set the length subfield included in the L-SIG of the TB PPDU based on the value of the B4 to B15 bits of the common information field indicating the UL length subfield, and send the TB PPDU.
[0177] In addition, the common information field may also include an uplink bandwidth subfield (UL Bandwidth (BW) subfield). The UL BW subfield may indicate a BW value included in a signaling field (e.g., HE-SIG-A or U-SIG, etc.) of a TB PPDU in response to a trigger frame, and may indicate a maximum BW of a TB PPDU sent in response to a trigger frame. Therefore, the STA may set a BW value included in a signaling field of a TB PPDU based on a value of the UL BW subfield included in the trigger frame.
[0178] In addition, the common information field may also include information contained in the signaling field of the TB PPDU as a response to the trigger frame, etc. Therefore, after receiving the trigger frame, the STA may set the information included in the TB PPDU based on the information included in the trigger frame.
[0179] Reference Fig.12(c), the user information field may include an AID12 subfield. The AID12 subfield may be used to indicate the intended recipient of the user information field including the AID12 subfield or the function of the user information field. Therefore, the AID12 subfield may also serve to indicate the intended recipient of the trigger frame including the AID12 subfield or the function of the trigger frame. For example, when the value of the AID12 subfield is a preset value, the user information field may indicate a random access-resource unit (RA-RU). That is, the preset value of the AID12 subfield may indicate that the user information field indicates an RA-RU. Specifically, when the value of the AID12 subfield is '0', the user information field may indicate the RA-RU for associated STAs. For example, when the value of the AID12 subfield is '0', the user information field may indicate a RA-RU for an associated STA, and when the value of the AID12 subfield is '2045', the user information field may indicate a RA-RU for unassociated STAs. The STA corresponding to the SAT ID (e.g., association ID (AID)) indicated by the value of the AID12 subfield may be instructed to respond through a user information field including the AID12 subfield or a trigger frame including the AID subfield. For example, the AID12 subfield may represent the AID or the 12LSB of the AID. The STA corresponding to the value represented by the AID12 subfield may send a TB PPDU in response to the received trigger frame. In this case, the value of the AID12 subfield may be in the range of '1' to '2007' (inclusive), and when the value of the AID12 subfield is a preset value (e.g., '2046', etc.), the RU corresponding to the preset value of the AID12 subfield may not be allocated to any STA. In addition, when the AID subfield is a preset value (e.g., '4095', etc.), the preset value may indicate the start of padding of the trigger frame.
[0180] The information of the user information field including the AID12 subfield may be information corresponding to the STA indicated by the AID12 subfield. For example, the resource unit allocation subfield (Resource Unit (RU) Allocation subfield) may indicate the size and location of the RU, etc. At this time, the value of the RU allocation subfield of the user information field including the AID12 subfield may be information corresponding to the STA indicated by the AID12 subfield. That is, the RU indicated by the RU allocation subfield of the AID12 subfield may be the RU allocated to the STA indicated by the AID12 subfield.
[0181] In addition, the user information field may indicate a coding method (UL FEC coding type), a modulation method (UL HE-MCS, UL DCM), power (UL Targer RSSI), etc., used to generate a TB PPDU sent in response to a trigger frame.
[0182] Fig.13 A UL MU operation according to another embodiment of the present invention is shown.
[0183] Reference Fig.13 ,When the AP instructs PPDU transmission through a trigger frame, the STA can respond with a PPDU of a different format based on the trigger frame. Fig.13 The embodiments described in the Fig.10 and Fig.11 The method for the problem described in , and the contents already explained above will be omitted.
[0184] Specifically, the EHT STA may not send the HE TB PPDU, or may not perform the HE UL MU operation. In addition, the EHT STA may respond to the trigger frame or TRS in the EHT TB PPDU format (eg, a PPDU including a TRS control subfield).
[0185] The STA may transmit only the TB PPDU corresponding to the latest standard that the STA can support, and may not transmit the TB PPDU corresponding to the previous standard. That is, the NEXT STA may transmit only the NEXT TB PPDU, and may not transmit the HE TB PPDU corresponding to the previous standard. In addition, the NEXT STA may perform the NEXT UL MU operation, but may not perform the HE UL MU operation. That is, the EHT STA may transmit only the EHT TB PPDU as a response to the trigger frame of the AP, and may perform only the EHT UL MU operation.
[0186] Therefore, the STA that responds to the trigger frame or TRS does not need to select which format of the TB PPDU to respond with, and this method has an advantage of being able to simply implement the STA that responds to the trigger frame or TRS.
[0187] In addition, the STA that indicates the transmission of the TB PPDU by sending a trigger frame or TRS may also need to be scheduled to send different TB PPDUs without overlapping. That is, the STA that sends the trigger frame or TRS may not simultaneously indicate the HE STA, EHT STA and / or NEXT STA as the STA that responds to the trigger frame or TRS. Alternatively, the STA that responds to the trigger frame or TRS may not indicate the HE STA, EHT STA and / or NEXT STA through a single PPDU. Alternatively, the HE trigger frame (or TRS), the EHT trigger frame (or TRS) and the NEXT trigger frame (or TRS) may not be included in one PPDU, or one trigger frame may not be used to indicate the HE STA, EHT STA and NEXT STA. Alternatively, the EHT STA and the NEXT STA may not be indicated as HE trigger frames. However, at this time, when indicating an aggregated PPDU (a PPDU in which multiple PPDUs exist in the form of frequency domain division), there may be exceptions. In the present invention, HE STA may refer to a HE STA that is not an EHT STA and is not a NEXT STA. In addition, EHT STA may refer to an EHT STA that is not a NEXT STA.
[0188] Reference Fig.13 , the AP may send a trigger frame indicating only the HE STA. In addition, since the STA receiving the trigger frame is a HE STA, the STA may respond with a HE TB PPDU. In addition, the AP may send a trigger frame indicating only the EHT STA. In addition, since the STA receiving the trigger frame indicating only the EHT STA is an EHT STA, the STA may respond with an EHT TB PPDU.
[0189] That is, in Fig.13 In the embodiment of the present invention, the problem can be solved by limiting the TB PPDU format of the STA that responds to the trigger frame or TRS and scheduling the trigger frame or TRS accordingly. Figure 10 to Figure 11 The problem described in .
[0190] Fig.14 A UL MU operation according to another embodiment of the present invention is shown.
[0191] Reference Fig.14 , the AP can instruct one or more non-AP STAs to send PPDUs of different formats by sending a trigger frame.
[0192] Specifically, Fig.14 The method described can be used to solve Fig.10 and Fig.11The method of the problem described in Fig.13 Exceptions to the method described in . Fig.14 The method can be Fig.13 The method described in (i.e., the method of sending a trigger frame or TRS) is an exception. Hereinafter, since the above content can be applied to this method in the same manner, its description is omitted.
[0193] In the case of indicating an associated PPDU (aggregated PPDU), the AP may indicate the transmission of the PPDU to all of the HE STA, EHT STA, and / or NEXTSTA. At this time, the HE TB PPDU, EHT TB PPDU, and / or NEXTTB PPDU sent in response may be scheduled to be transmitted without overlapping in the frequency domain. Alternatively, the 20MHz subchannel of the RU including the resource unit of the HE TB PPDU and the 20MHz subchannel of the RU including the EHT TB PPDU may be allocated so as not to overlap with each other.
[0194] When the HE PPDU is included in the associated PPDU, the HE PPDU should exist in the region including the primary channel, but when the associated PPDU is a TB PPDU, the HE PPDU may also exist in the region not including the primary channel.
[0195] Reference Fig.14 , HE TB PPDU and EHT TB PPDU may be sent from multiple STAs in response to one trigger frame. At this time, HE TB PPDU and EHT TB PPDU may be sent through non-overlapping RUs. That is, one trigger frame may be used to indicate to multiple STAs that TB PPDUs of different formats are sent, and the RUs used to send TB PPDUs of different formats may not overlap. Therefore, multiple STAs may send PPDUs of different formats (e.g., HE TB PPDU and EHT TB PPDU) using different RUs on the frequency axis based on the sent trigger frame.
[0196] Fig.15 A diagram illustrating a method for indicating a trigger-based PPDU format according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[0197] Reference Fig.15 , a STA can selectively send PPDUs of different formats based on the indication of the trigger frame indicating PPDU transmission.
[0198] Specifically, the EHT STA may selectively send a legacy PPDU (e.g., HE TB PPDU) and an EHT TB PPDU, and the NEXT STA may selectively send an HE TB PPDU, an EHT TB PPDU, and / or a NEXT TB PPDU. In this case, one frame or one PPDU may be used to separately schedule STAs to which various standards are applied. In a wireless LAN, since STAs to which multiple standards are applied use common resources together, this method may be advantageous. For example, a HE STA (a HE STA that is not an EHT STA) and an EHT STA may respond with an HE TB PPDU through one frame. That is, a non-AP STA may indicate HE TB PPDU transmission to the HE STA and the EHT STA by sending a trigger frame.
[0199] In addition, the information for selecting the TB PPDU format may be included in a trigger frame as a trigger frame, a TRS, a PPDU including a trigger frame, or a PPDU including a TRS control subfield. That is, the AP STA may include the information for selecting the TB PPDU format in a trigger frame to send to at least one non-AP STA, and the non-AP STA may select a PPDU format to respond to based on the information included in the transmitted trigger frame. Then, the at least one non-AP STA may send the PPDU to the AP based on the selected format.
[0200] Information about the format of the PPDU (TB PPDU format) as a response to the trigger frame may exist in the MAC layer, and a trigger frame as a trigger frame may be distinguished into an HE trigger frame, an EHT trigger frame, and a NEXT trigger frame, and a response to each trigger frame may be distinguished into an HE TB PPDU, an EHT TB PPDU, and a NEXT PPDU.
[0201] Furthermore, distinguishing the trigger frame into the HE trigger frame, the EHT trigger frame, and the NEXT trigger frame may mean dividing the TB PPDU format as a response to the trigger frame into the HE TB PPDU, the EHT TB PPDU, and the NEXT TB PPDU.
[0202] The format of the trigger frame used to distinguish the format of the TB PPDU can be identified based on the frame control field (Frame Control field) included in the MAC header as a HE trigger frame, an EHT trigger frame, or a NEXT trigger frame. Specifically, the format of the trigger frame can be distinguished based on the type subfield, the subtype subfield, and / or the control frame extension subfield (Control Frame Extension sufield). In addition, when the value of the type subfield, the subtype subfield, and / or the control frame extension subfield is a preset value, the trigger frame can be identified as an HE trigger frame, and when the value of the type subfield, the subtype subfield, and / or the control frame extension subfield is another preset value, the trigger frame can be identified as an EHT trigger frame. In addition, when the value of the type subfield, the subtype subfield, and / or the control frame extension subfield is a different preset value, the trigger frame can be identified as a NEXT trigger frame.
[0203] For example, when the type subfield is 01 (B3 B2) and the subtype subfield is 0010 (B7 B6 B5 B4), the format of the frame including the type subfield and the subtype subfield may be an HE trigger frame. In this case, an entry using the type subfield (2 bits), the subtype subfield (4 bits), and / or the control frame extension subfield (4 bits) to which a limited number of bits are allocated may be added in the EHT standard and the NEXT standard.
[0204] In addition, it is possible to identify whether the format of the trigger frame is a HE trigger frame or an EHT trigger frame based on the common information field included in the trigger frame. That is, the format of the PPDU to be sent as a response to the trigger frame can be determined based on the value of the special subfield (first subfield) included in the common information field. For example, the non-AP STA can select the HE TB PPDU or the EHT TB PPDU according to the value of the common information field and send it through the allocated RU. At this time, in addition to the common information field, a special subfield (second subfield) of the user information field can also be used to additionally identify the format of the PPDU.
[0205] That is, a variant for determining the format of the PPDU as a response to the trigger frame may be determined based on the common information field of the trigger frame, and the format of the PPDU may be determined according to the determined variant. For example, if the variant for determining the PPDU format is determined by the common information field to be a HE variant, the non-AP STA may respond with a HE TB PPDU. If the variant for determining the PPDU format is determined by the common information field to be an EHT variant, the non-AP STA may respond with an EHT TB PPDU.
[0206] At this time, a variation for determining the format of the PPDU may additionally use a user information field in addition to the common information field.
[0207] For example, the trigger frame may be classified as an HE trigger frame, an EHT trigger frame, or a NEXT trigger frame based on the trigger type subfield. For example, when the trigger type subfield value is a preset value, the trigger frame may be an HE trigger frame. In addition, when the trigger type subfield value is a preset value, the trigger frame may be an EHT trigger frame. When the trigger type subfield value is a preset value, the trigger frame may be a NEXT trigger frame.
[0208] For example, when the trigger type subfield value is 0 to 7, it may be a HE trigger frame; when the trigger type subfield value is not 0 to 7, it may be an EHT trigger frame or a NEXT trigger frame. The trigger type subfield indicates various types of trigger frame types, and in this case, there may be a disadvantage of needing to use a limited trigger type subfield space.
[0209] According to another embodiment of the present invention, it is possible to distinguish whether the trigger frame is a HE trigger frame, an EHT trigger frame, or a NEXT trigger frame based on the UL length subfield of the trigger frame. For example, it is possible to determine whether the frame is a HE trigger frame, an EHT trigger frame, or a NEXT trigger frame based on a value obtained by performing a modulo (remainder) operation on the UL length subfield value. That is, the value of the UL length subfield can be used to determine whether the format of the PPDU to be sent as a response to the trigger frame is a HE PPDU or an EHT PPDU.
[0210] More specifically, whether the frame is an HE triggered frame, an EHT triggered frame, or a NEXT triggered frame may be determined based on a value obtained by performing a mod (remainder) 3 operation on the UL length subfield value (a remainder when the UL length subfield is divided by 3). For example, when the result obtained by performing a mod 3 operation on the UL length subfield value is not 0, the trigger frame may be an HE triggered frame. Alternatively, when the result obtained by performing a mod 3 operation on the UL length subfield value is 1, the trigger frame may be an HE triggered frame. Alternatively, when the result obtained by performing a mod 3 operation on the UL length subfield value is 0, the trigger frame may not be an HE triggered frame. Alternatively, when the result obtained by performing a mod 3 operation on the UL length subfield value is 0, the trigger frame may be an EHT triggered frame or a NEXT triggered frame.
[0211] That is, when the value of mod3 performed on the value of the UL length subfield of the trigger frame is not 0, the response to the trigger frame can be sent as HE TB PPDU, and when the value of mod3 performed on the value of the UL length subfield is 1, the response to the trigger frame can be sent as HETB PPDU.
[0212] In addition, when a value obtained by performing mod3 on a value of the UL length subfield of the trigger frame is 0, the format of the PPDU transmitted as a response to the trigger frame may be an EHT TB PPDU.
[0213] In addition, an additional trigger frame distinguishing method may be used together with this method to distinguish HE trigger frames, EHT trigger frames, and NEXT trigger frames. Fig.16 The described distinguishing method distinguishes HE trigger frames, EHT trigger frames and NEXT trigger frames.
[0214] According to an embodiment, the format of the trigger frame may be distinguished as a HE trigger frame, an EHT trigger frame, or a NEXT trigger frame based on a user information field (User Info field) of the trigger frame.
[0215] That is, similar to the above-mentioned common information field, it is possible to identify whether the format of the trigger frame is a HE trigger frame or an EHT trigger frame based on the user information field included in the trigger frame. That is, the format of the PPDU to be sent as a response to the trigger frame can be determined based on the value of the special subfield (second subfield) included in the user information field. For example, the non-AP STA can select HE TB PPDU or EHT TB PPDU according to the value of the user information field, and send it through the allocated RU. At this time, in addition to the user information field, a special subfield (first subfield) of the common information field can also be used to additionally identify the format of the PPDU.
[0216] That is, a variant for determining the format of the PPDU as a response to the trigger frame may be determined based on the user information field of the trigger frame, and the format of the PPDU may be determined according to the determined variant. For example, when the variant for determining the PPDU format is determined by the user information field to be a HE variant, the non-AP STA may respond with a HE TB PPDU. When the variant for determining the PPDU format is determined by the user information field to be an EHT variant, the non-AP STA may respond with an EHT TB PPDU.
[0217] At this time, a variation for determining the PPDU format may additionally use the common information field in addition to the user information field.
[0218] For example, it is possible to distinguish whether it is a HE trigger frame, an EHT trigger frame, or a NEXT trigger frame based on the AID12 subfield. According to an embodiment, it is possible to distinguish between a HE trigger frame, an EHT trigger frame, or a NEXT trigger frame based on whether the AID12 subfield includes a preset value. In addition, in this case, there is a problem that the STA indicated by a certain user information field needs to continuously check the AID12 subfield that exists after the above-mentioned user information field in order to determine the trigger frame format. In order to solve this problem, a user information field including an AID12 subfield indicating which trigger frame is may exist in front of the user information list. In addition, in order to prevent erroneous operation of HE STAs that cannot understand this signaling method, a user information field including an AID12 subfield indicating which trigger frame is may exist after the user information field corresponding to the HE STA.
[0219] In addition, since information of other subfields except the AID12 subfield included in the user information field is not necessary for the TB PPDU response at this time, the subfield of the user information field including the AID12 subfield indicating which trigger frame can be omitted. That is, the length of the user information field may be different according to the AID12 subfield. Fig.15 , the AID12 subfield may indicate the TB PPDU format of the response. For example, when the AID12 subfield has a preset value, the response to the trigger frame including the AID12 subfield set to the above-mentioned preset value may be an EHT TB PPDU. For example, when the AID12 subfield value is 2047, the response to the trigger frame including the above-mentioned AID12 subfield may be an EHT TB PPDU. In addition, when the AID12 subfield has a preset value, the response to the trigger frame including the AID12 subfield set to the above-mentioned preset value may be a NEXT TB PPDU. For example, when the AID12 subfield value is 2048, the response to the trigger frame including the above-mentioned AID12 subfield may be a NEXT TB PPDU.
[0220] According to another embodiment, when responding based on a user information field present at a preset position away from an AID12 subfield having a preset value, the response may be made in a TB PPDU format corresponding to the above-mentioned preset value. For example, when responding based on a user information field present after an AID12 subfield having a preset value, the response may be made in a TB PPDU format corresponding to the above-mentioned preset value. If there are multiple values indicating a TB PPDU format, and the response is made based on a user information field present after both a preset value 1 and a preset value 2, the UE may respond according to a TB PPDU format corresponding to the preset value 1 and a TB PPDU format corresponding to the preset value 2 in a preset priority order. Reference Fig.15 , when responding based on the user information field existing after the AID12 subfield set to 2047, it is possible to respond with an EHT TB PPDU. In addition, when responding based on the user information field existing after the AID12 subfield set to 2048, it is possible to respond with a NEXT TB PPDU. In addition, when responding based on the user information field existing after both the AID12 subfield set to 2047 and the AID12 subfield set to 2048, it is possible to respond with a NEXT TB PPDU. In addition, when responding based on the user information field existing before both the AID12 subfield set to 2047 and the AID12 subfield set to 2048, it is possible to respond with an HE TB PPDU.
[0221] In this embodiment, an example in which the type of the trigger frame is indicated by the AID12 subfield is described, but the present invention is not limited thereto, and the type of the trigger frame may be indicated by another subfield of the user information field.
[0222] According to an embodiment, whether the trigger frame is an HE trigger frame, an EHT trigger frame, or a NEXT trigger frame may be distinguished based on a padding field of the trigger frame. For example, whether the padding field is an HE trigger frame, an EHT trigger frame, or a NEXT trigger frame may be determined based on whether the padding field includes a preset value indicating whether it is an HE trigger frame, an EHT trigger frame, or a NEXT trigger frame.
[0223] According to an embodiment of the present invention, HE trigger frames, EHT trigger frames, and NEXT trigger frames can be distinguished by combining multiple trigger frame distinction methods described in the present invention. In addition, the description of the trigger frame of the present invention is not limited thereto and can be applied to TRS.
[0224] According to another embodiment of the present invention, the AP cannot simultaneously indicate the transmission of EHT PPDU and HE PPDU through a trigger frame. That is, the EHT AP cannot transmit a trigger frame indicating both HE TB PPDU and EHT TB PPDU at the same time, and can only indicate one PPDU format.
[0225] Fig.16 A trigger frame format for indicating a trigger-based PPDU format according to an embodiment of the present invention is shown.
[0226] Reference Fig.16 The trigger frame may include information indicating the format of the trigger frame and the format of the PPDU to be sent in response to the trigger frame, and the content and length contained in the trigger frame may be different according to the indicated PPDU format.
[0227] Specifically, the trigger frame may include information indicating the format of the trigger frame. That is, the trigger frame may include information indicating whether the trigger frame is a HE trigger frame, an EHT trigger frame, or a NEXT trigger frame. Therefore, information for determining the format of the PPDU indicated by the trigger frame may be included.
[0228] In addition, the content and length of the trigger frame may be changed based on the information indicating the format, and the trigger frame may include information indicating which of the HE TB PPDU, EHT TB PPDU, and NEXT TB PPDU should be sent in response to the trigger frame. For example, the information indicating the format of the trigger frame or the information indicating the TB PPDU format in response to the trigger frame as described above may be included in the format identifier subfield.
[0229] Therefore, the format of the trigger frame can be determined based on the format identifier subfield. In addition, the TB PPDU format used for response can be determined based on the format identifier subfield. That is, it is possible to respond with a standard TB PPDU corresponding to the value represented by the format identifier subfield. According to an embodiment, the format identifier subfield can be 3 bits. In addition, the format identifier subfield can be present after B16 of the common information field.
[0230] For example, the format identifier subfield may be present after the UL length subfield. Fig.12The trigger frame described in the description has a format that can be understood by the HE STA, so the format identifier subfield can exist in the trigger frame after the EHT standard. That is, when the trigger frame includes the format identifier subfield, the trigger frame can be an EHT trigger frame or a NEXT trigger frame. Alternatively, when the trigger frame includes the format identifier subfield, the TB PPDU in response to the trigger frame can be an EHT TB PPDU or a NEXT TB PPDU. In addition, in this case, the value that the format identifier subfield can represent can be a value after the EHT standard.
[0231] According to an embodiment, the U-SIG field included in the TB PPDU may be based on the PPDU indicating the TB PPDU. According to an embodiment, the U-SIG field included in the TB PPDU may be based on the trigger frame indicating the TB PPDU. More specifically, the U-SIG field included in the TB PPDU may be based on the format identifier subfield included in the trigger frame indicating the TB PPDU.
[0232] For example, the PHY version identifier of the U-SIG field included in the TB PPDU may be based on the format identifier subfield included in the trigger frame indicating the TB PPDU. The PHY version identifier indicates the PHY version of the PPDU transmitted by the non-APSTA or AP-STA. For example, if the value of the PHY version identifier is set to '0', it means that the PPDU is an EHT PPDU whose PHY version is EHT.
[0233] The PHY version identifier may be used to identify whether the format of the PPDU is an EHT PPDU, and may be set based on the format identifier included in the trigger frame. For example, the non-AP STA may set the value of the PHY version field included in the PPDU in the same manner as the value of the format identifier included in the trigger frame. Therefore, the non-AP STA may determine whether the format of the PPDU to be transmitted is an EHT TB PPDU based on the value of the format identifier included in the trigger frame.
[0234] For example, the PHY version identifier value of the U-SIG field included in the TB PPDU may be set to the same value as the value of the format identifier subfield included in the trigger frame indicating the TB PPDU. Alternatively, when the ranges of the standard indicated by the PHY version identifier subfield of the U-SIG field and the format identifier subfield of the trigger frame are different, the PHY version identifier value of the U-SIG field included in the TB PPDU may be set to a value obtained by adding or subtracting a preset value from the value of the format identifier subfield included in the trigger frame indicating the TB PPDU.
[0235] The PHY version identifier subfield of the U-SIG field may be the PHY version field as described above. In addition, the PHY version identifier subfield of the U-SIG field may be used to indicate the format of the U-SIG field. In addition, the PHY version identifier subfield of the U-SIG field may be used to indicate the PHY version of the PPDU including the U-SIG field.
[0236] Reference Fig.16 The trigger frame may include a format identifier subfield. In addition, based on the format identifier subfield, it may be determined which standard the trigger frame is, or which format should be used as the TBPPDU format in response to the trigger frame.
[0237] In addition, the trigger frame may include information to be included in the U-SIG field of the TB PPDU in response to the trigger frame. For example, the trigger frame may include information to be included in a version independent field (Version Independent) and a version dependent field (Version Dependent) of the U-SIG field. The information to be included in the U-SIG field may include information to be included in the version independent field and the version dependent field.
[0238] The information to be included in the version-independent field of the U-SIG field may be U-SIG version-independent content. The information to be included in the version-related field of the U-SIG field may be U-SIG version-related content. In addition, the above-mentioned format identifier subfield may be one of the U-SIG version-independent contents. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the content and length of the information to be included in the U-SIG field of the TB PPDU included in the trigger frame may be changed based on the format identifier subfield included in the trigger frame. For example, the content and length of the U-SIG version-related content of the TB PPDU included in the trigger frame may be changed based on the format identifier subfield included in the trigger frame. For example, the U-SIG version-independent content may be a subfield having content and length that are independent of the format identifier subfield, and the U-SIG version-related content may be a subfield having content and length based on the format identifier subfield. According to an embodiment, the information to be included in the U-SIG field may be included in the common information field of the trigger frame. In addition, the U-SIG version-related content included in the trigger frame may include BW, puncturing information, and the like.
[0239] Reference Fig.16 , the trigger frame may include U-SIG version independent content and U-SIG version dependent content. In addition, the content and length of the U-SIG version independent content or the U-SIG version dependent content may be changed based on the format identifier subfield.
[0240] Fig.17 is a diagram illustrating a trigger frame format for indicating a trigger-based PPDU format according to another embodiment of the present invention.
[0241] Reference Fig.17 , the STA may determine the format of the PPDU to be sent based on the subfields included in the common information field and / or the user information field included in the trigger frame.
[0242] Specifically, Fig.17 Part (a) shows an example of a common information field included in a trigger frame, and Fig.17 Part (b) shows an example of a user information field. Fig.17 Part (c) shows an example of a special user information field (Special UserInfo field).
[0243] exist Fig.17 Among the fields shown in (a) to (c), the fields that are the same as the above fields will be omitted.
[0244] As mentioned above, Fig.17 The common information field of (a) may be used to identify the format of the PPDU indicated by the trigger frame. For example, the common information field of the trigger frame may be used to identify whether the format of the PPDU indicated by the trigger frame is an EHT TB PPDU or an HE TB PPDU.
[0245] Specifically, in Fig.17 In the common information field shown in (a), the HE / EHT P160 subfield (first subfield) indicates the format of the PPDU sent on the primary channel (Primary channel) of 160 MHz. For example, if the value of the HE / EHT P160 subfield is '1', the HE TB PPDU is sent on the primary channel of 160 MHz, and if the value of the HE / EHT P160 subfield is '0', the EHT TB PPDU is sent on the primary channel of 160 MHz.
[0246] As mentioned above, Fig.17 The user information field of (b) may be used to identify the format of the PPDU indicated by the trigger frame.
[0247] Specifically, in Fig.17 In the user information field shown in (b), the PS160 subfield (second subfield) indicates whether the RU allocated by the RU allocation field of the user information field is located in the main channel or subchannel of 160 MHz.
[0248] PS160 subfields and Fig.17The HE / EHT P160 subfield of (a) is used together to indicate the format of the PPDU indicated by the trigger frame. For example, when the value of the HE / EHT P160 subfield is set to '1' to indicate that the HE TB PPDU is sent on the primary channel, if the value of the PS160 subfield is set to '0', since it means that the primary channel is allocated RU, the STA will send a response to the trigger frame in the primary channel with the HE TB PPDU.
[0249] However, when the value of the HE / EHT P160 subfield is set to '1' and HE TB PPDU transmission is indicated on the primary channel, if the value of the PS160 subfield is set to '1', since it means that the secondary channel is allocated RU, the STA sends the PPDU on the secondary channel, and at this time, the format of the PPDU is EHT TB PPDU.
[0250] Table 1 below shows an example of a PPDU format according to the HE / EHT P160 subfield and the PS160 subfield.
[0251]
Table 1
[0252]
[0253] Referring to Table 1, the B54 bit of the common information field indicates the value of the HE / EHT P160 subfield, and the B39 bit indicates the value of the PS160 subfield. A variant for determining the PPDU format is determined according to the value of the HE / EHT P160 subfield and the value of the PS160 subfield, and the type of the PPDU is determined to be HE or EHT according to the determined variant.
[0254] As described above, the STA determines whether the format of the PPDU to be sent as a response to the trigger frame is the EHT format or the HE format by using the common information field and / or the user information field included in the trigger frame, generates the PPDU according to the determined format, and sends the PPDU to the AP.
[0255] Fig.17 (c) shows an example of a special user information field including the PHY version identifier as described above, and as described above, the PHY version identifier is used to identify whether the PHY version is EHT. In addition, the PHY version identifier can be set based on the format identifier of the trigger frame.
[0256] Fig.18 A method for determining a trigger frame format according to an embodiment of the present invention is shown.
[0257] Fig.18 Can be compared with the above Figures 15 to 17The embodiments described in the accompanying drawings are used in combination, and the contents described above are omitted.
[0258] Specifically, as referenced Fig.16 As described, the trigger frame may include a format identifier subfield. In addition, Fig.12 The trigger frame or HE trigger frame described in the description may not include the format identifier subfield. Therefore, a method for determining whether the trigger frame includes the format identifier subfield may be required. According to an embodiment, the trigger frame may include information indicating whether the format identifier subfield is included. For example, the common information field of the trigger frame may include information indicating whether the format identifier subfield is included. More specifically, the trigger type subfield of the trigger frame may include information indicating whether the format identifier subfield is included. For example, whether to include the format identifier subfield may be determined based on whether the trigger type subfield is a preset value. For example, when the value of the trigger type subfield is 0 to 7, the format identifier subfield may not be included. In addition, when the trigger type subfield is not 0 to 7 or the trigger type subfield is 8 to 15, the format identifier subfield may be included. In addition, when the trigger type subfield is 0 to 7, Basic, Beamforming Report Poll (BFRP), MU-BAR, MU-RTS, Buffer Status Report Poll (BSRP), GCR MU-BAR, Bandwidth Query Report Poll (BQRP), and NDP Feedback Report Poll (NFRP) can be indicated respectively. In this case, the trigger type subfields 8 to 15 respectively indicate the trigger frame type when the trigger type subfield is 0 to 7, but indicate the trigger frame format that does not include the format identifier subfield.
[0259] According to another embodiment, whether to include the format identifier subfield may be determined based on the UL length subfield of the trigger frame. Fig.15 Whether to include the format identifier subfield may be determined based on the trigger frame distinguishing method of the UL length subfield described in . That is, as a result of performing a modulo operation on the value of the UL length subfield, more specifically, whether to include the format identifier subfield may be determined based on the result of performing a mod3 operation on the value of the UL length subfield.
[0260] For example, when the result obtained by performing a mod3 operation on the value of the UL length subfield is not 0, the format identifier subfield may not be included, and when the result obtained by performing a mod3 operation on the value of the UL length subfield is 0, the format identifier subfield may be included. This can be continued to the above-mentioned embodiment in which the EHT trigger frame and the NEXT trigger frame include the format identifier subfield, and the above-mentioned embodiment in which whether it is an HE trigger frame is determined based on the result of performing a mod3 operation on the UL length subfield.
[0261] Reference Fig.18 , whether the trigger frame is an HE trigger frame or whether the trigger frame includes a format identifier subfield may be determined based on the UL length subfield included in the trigger frame. For example, when ((value of the UL length subfield value) mod 3) is not 0, the trigger frame may be determined to have a reference Fig.12 The trigger frame (or HE trigger frame) includes the common information field and the user information field described in the description, and does not include the format identifier subfield. In addition, when responding to the trigger frame, the HE TB PPDU can be used to respond.
[0262] In addition, when the value of ((UL length subfield value) mod3) is 0, it can be determined that the trigger frame is an EHT trigger frame or a NEXT trigger frame and includes a format identifier subfield. In addition, the remaining information (ie, the common information field and the user information field) included in the trigger frame can be determined based on the value represented by the format identifier subfield. In addition, when responding to the trigger frame, a TB PPDU of the standard indicated by the format identifier subfield can be responded to. That is, when the format identifier subfield indicates the EHT standard, the EHT TB PPDU can be responded to. In addition, when the format identifier subfield indicates the NEXT standard, the NEXT TB PPDU can be responded to.
[0263] Fig.19 A method for setting a length field (Length field) according to an embodiment of the present invention is shown. Fig.19 In the embodiment of Figures 15 to 18 The content of the description.
[0264] Reference Fig.19 , a PPDU transmitted in response to a trigger frame may include a length field having different values according to a format.
[0265] Specifically, the trigger frame may include a UL length subfield, and the UL length subfield may indicate information related to the length of the PPDU indicated by the trigger frame. For example, the UL length field may indicate information related to the value of the length field included in the L-SIG field of the PPDU sent as a response to the trigger frame. The length field included in the L-SIG field may be the length or duration information included in the legacy preamble. The length field included in the L-SIG field may be expressed as L_LENGTH or LENGTH, which may be set by a transmission parameter or a reception parameter value.
[0266] According to an embodiment of the present invention, according to the format of the TB PPDU transmitted as a response to the trigger frame, a method of setting the length field included in the L-SIG field of the TB PPDU using the UL length field included in the trigger frame may be different. In addition, according to an embodiment of the present invention, according to the format of the trigger frame, the length field included in the L-SIG field of the TB PPDU may be set using the UL length field included in the trigger frame. Alternatively, according to an embodiment of the present invention, according to a value based on a value of the UL length field of the trigger frame, a method of setting the length field included in the L-SIG field of the TB PPDU using the UL length subfield included in the trigger frame may be different.
[0267] As described above, there may be a case where the value obtained by performing mod3 as a modulo operation on the value of the UL length subfield included in the trigger frame is not 0, and a response may be made with HE TB PPDU, EHT TB PPDU, or NEXT TB PPDU based on the trigger frame.
[0268] When the value obtained by performing mod3 on the value of the UL length subfield included in the trigger frame is not 0, if the HE TB PPDU is transmitted in response to the trigger frame, the length field of the L-SIG field included in the HE TB PPDU may be set to the same value as the value of the UL length subfield of the trigger frame. This is so that the value obtained by performing mod3 on the value of the length field included in the L-SIG field of the HE TB PPDU may be set to a non-zero value (e.g., 1).
[0269] In addition, when the value obtained by performing mod3 on the value of the UL length subfield included in the trigger frame is not 0, if the EHT TB PPDU or the NEXT TB PPDU is transmitted as a response to the trigger frame, the length field of the L-SIG field included in the HE TB PPDU may be set to a value obtained by adding the value of the UL length subfield of the trigger frame to a preset value. At this time, the preset value may be 2 or -1. This is to make the value obtained by performing mod3 on the value of the length field included in the L-SIG field of the HE TB PPDU 0.
[0270] That is, when the format of the PPDU indicated by the trigger frame is an HE TB PPDU and the non-AP STA sends an HE TB PPDU in response to the trigger frame, the value of the length field included in the L-SIG field of the TB PPDU, that is, the value of the L_LENGTH parameter can be set to the value indicated by the UL length field included in the common information field of the trigger frame.
[0271] However, when the format of the PPDU indicated by the trigger frame is EHT TB PPDU or NEXT TB PPDU, and the non-APSTA sends the EHT TB PPDU or NEXT TB PPDU in response to the trigger frame, the value of the length field included in the L-SIG field of the TB PPDU, that is, the value of the L_LENGTH parameter can be set to a value obtained by adding the value indicated by the UL length subfield included in the common information field of the trigger frame, that is, the value of the transmission parameter L_LENGTH parameter to a preset value (for example, 2 or -1).
[0272] At this time, Length, which is a value of L_LENGTH, may be calculated by the following Equation 4.
[0273] [Equation 4]
[0274]
[0275] As described above, there may be a case where the value obtained by performing mod3 on the UL length subfield value included in the trigger frame is 0. In addition, as described above, a response may be made using HE TB PPDU, EHT TB PPDU, or NEXT TB PPDU based on the trigger frame.
[0276] When the value obtained by performing mod3 on the UL length subfield value included in the trigger frame is 0, if a HE TB PPDU is responded, the length field included in the L-SIG field included in the HE TB PPDU may be set to a value obtained by adding the UL length subfield value to a preset value. For example, the preset value may be -2. This is to make the value obtained by performing mod3 on the value of the length field included in the L-SIG field of the HE TB PPDU a non-zero value, such as 1. In another embodiment, the preset value may be 1.
[0277] When the value obtained by performing mod3 on the value of the UL length subfield included in the trigger frame is 0, if a response is made with an EHT TB PPDU or a NEXT TB PPDU, the length field included in the L-SIG field included in the EHT TB PPDU or the NEXT TB PPDU may be set to the same value as the value of the UL length subfield. This may be used to make the value obtained by performing mod3 on the value of the length field included in the L-SIG field of the EHT TB PPDU or the NEXT TB PPDU 0.
[0278] Fig. 20 A UL MU operation according to another embodiment of the present invention is shown.
[0279] Fig. 20 An embodiment may be used to solve the reference Figure 10 to Figure 11 In addition, Fig. 20 The examples can be illustrated in Fig.15 Another method for distinguishing trigger frames in the embodiment described above. In addition, the content described above can be omitted.
[0280] According to an embodiment of the present invention, the EHT STA may selectively send the HE TB PPDU, the EHT TB PPDU. In addition, the NEXT STA may selectively send the HE TB PPDU, the EHT TB PPDU, the NEXT TB PPDU. In this case, one frame or one PPDU may be used to schedule STAs of various standards. This can be an advantage because STAs of various standards use common resources together in a wireless LAN. For example, one frame may be used to enable HE STAs (HE STAs that are not EHT) and EHT STAs to respond with HE TB PPDUs.
[0281] In addition, information for selecting a TB PPDU format may be included in a PPDU including a trigger frame, a TRS, or a PPDU including a trigger frame or a PPDU including a TRS.
[0282] According to an embodiment of the present invention, information about the TB PPDU format of the response may exist in the PHY layer. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the HE trigger frame, the EHT trigger frame, and the NEXT trigger frame may be distinguished from each other. In addition, the response indicated by the HE trigger frame, the EHT trigger frame, and the NEXT frame may be responded to with the HE TB PPDU, the EHT TB PPDU, and the NEXT TB PPDU, respectively.
[0283] Furthermore, in the present invention, distinguishing the HE trigger frame, the EHT trigger frame, and the NEXT trigger frame may mean distinguishing the TB PPDU formats responding to the trigger frame into HE TB PPDU, EHT TB PPDU, and NEXT TB PPDU, respectively.
[0284] According to an embodiment of the present invention, the TB PPDU format of the response trigger frame can be determined based on the PPDU format including the trigger frame. For example, the above trigger frame can be responded to with a TB PPDU of the same standard as the PPDU format including the trigger frame. Fig.19 , when the trigger frame is transmitted through the HE PPDU, the TB PPDU responding to the trigger frame may be the HE TB PPDU. In this case, even if the trigger frame indicates the EHT STA and the NEXT STA, the HE TB PPDU may be used to respond. When the trigger frame is transmitted through the EHT PPDU, the TB PPDU responding to the trigger frame may be the EHT TB PPDU. In this case, even if the trigger frame indicates the NEXT STA, the EHT TB PPDU may be used to respond to the trigger frame.
[0285] In addition, when responding to a trigger frame included in an EHT PPDU or NEXT PPDU, the PHY version identifier included in the U-SIG field of the TB PPDU responding to the EHT PPDU or NEXT PPDU may be set to the same value as the PHY version identifier included in the U-SIG field of the EHT PPDU or NEXT PPDU. In addition, the PHY version identifier included in the U-SIG field of the EHT PPDU or NEXT PPDU may be an RXVECTOR as a reception parameter and may be transmitted to the MAC from the PHY of the STA receiving the EHT PPDU or NEXT PPDU. In addition, the PHY version identifier included in the U-SIG field of the TB PPDU responding to the EHT PPDU or NEXT PPDU may be transmitted to the PHY from the MAC of the STA transmitting the TB PPDU as a TXVECTOR. That is, the TXVECTOR PHY version identifier of the STA responding with the TB PPDU may be set to the value of the RXVECTOR PHY version identifier when receiving the PPDU including the trigger frame indicating the TB PPDU.
[0286] According to one embodiment, Fig.15 The MAC layer distinction method described in Fig. 20 The PHY layer distinction method described in the can be used together. For example, when the trigger frame is transmitted through a non-HT (duplicate) PPDU, the MAC layer distinction method can be used. In addition, when the results based on the MAC layer distinction method and the PHY layer distinction method (which standard of trigger frame is it or which standard of TB PPDU should be responded to) do not match, the priority order can be set in advance.
[0287] For example, when the result of the MAC layer distinction method is inconsistent with the result of the PHY layer distinction method, the PHY layer distinction method can be used. For example, when the EHT trigger frame is transmitted through the HE PPDU, it can be responded with the HE TB PPDU. Therefore, the HE STA that cannot decode the PPDU of the subsequent standard and the subsequent standard can also decode the PPDU and confirm the preamble, and can appropriately protect the PPDU or frame by receiving the frame included in the PPDU.
[0288] Fig.21 A UL MU operation according to another embodiment of the present invention is shown.
[0289] In addition to the trigger frame as described above, the TB PPDU may also be indicated by the TRS. In addition, as described above, the TRS may be included in the HT control field. For example, when the HT control field includes the A-control field, the TRS may be included. The TRS may be transmitted through the TRS control subfield. The A-control field may have a form in which the control list fields are continuously connected. The control list field may include the TRS.
[0290] In addition, the receiver of the frame including the TRS (indented receiver) may respond to the TRS. For example, the STA corresponding to the RA included in the frame including the TRS may respond to the TRS. The TRS may include information about the length of the PPDU or frame in response to the TRS (UL Data Symbols), the location and size of the RU to be used in response to the TRS (RUAllocation), information about the power in response to the TRS (AP Tx Power, UL Target RSSI), and information about the modulation scheme in response to the TRS (UL HE-MCS).
[0291] Fig.21 An embodiment may be used to solve Figure 10 to Figure 11 In addition, as described above, the embodiments regarding the trigger frame can be applied to the TRS. In addition, the contents described above can be omitted.
[0292] According to an embodiment of the present invention, in addition to the TRS defined in the HE standard (HE TRS), there may also be a TRS defined in the EHT standard or the NEXT standard (EHT TRS, NEXT TRS, respectively). Therefore, depending on whether the indicated TRS is HE TRS, EHT TRS, or NEXT TRS, the TB PPDU responding to the TRS may be HE TB PPDU, EHT TB PPDU, or NEXT TB PPDU, respectively. For example, the control ID subfield of the A-control subfield may be used to determine in which standard the TRS is defined. In an additional embodiment, the TRS may be divided into two types, namely, HE TRS and non-HE TRS.
[0293] Alternatively, for example, it is possible to determine in which standard the TRS is defined according to whether the HT control field is a HE variant, an EHT variant, or a NEXT variant. In addition, it is possible to determine whether it is a HE variant, an EHT variant, or a NEXT variant according to the value of a preset bit of the HT control field. For example, when B0 and B1 of the HT control field are 1 and 1, respectively, it can be a HE variant. In addition, it can be determined whether it is a HE variant, an EHT variant, or a NEXT variant by using B0 and B1 of the HT control field and an additional bit (e.g., B31).
[0294] According to an embodiment of the present invention, the TBPPDU format in response to the TRS may be determined based on the PPDU format including the TRS, as shown in FIG. Fig. 20 That is, when the PPDU indicating the PPDU transmission includes the TRS control subfield, the format of the PPDU can be determined based on the format of the PPDU including the TRS control subfield. For example, when the format of the PPDU including the TRS control subfield is HE PPDU, the format of the indicated PPDU can be HE PPDU. However, when the format of the PPDU including the TRS control subfield is EHT PPDU, the format of the indicated PPDU can be EHT PPDU.
[0295] Reference Fig.21 When TRS is transmitted through HE PPDU, the TB PPDU responding to the TRS may be HE TB PPDU. In addition, when TRS is transmitted through EHT PPDU, the TB PPDU responding to the TRS may be EHT TB PPDU. In addition, when TRS is transmitted through NEXT PPDU, the TB PPDU responding to the TRS may be NEXT TB PPDU.
[0296] According to an embodiment of the present invention, a subfield included in a TRS may be interpreted differently based on a PPDU format including a TRS. For example, when a TRS is included in an HE PPDU, a UL HE-MCS subfield (or a subfield related to MCS) included in the TRS may indicate a value corresponding to an HE MCS table. When a TRS is included in an EHT PPDU, a UL HE-MCS subfield (or a subfield related to MCS) included in the TRS may indicate a value corresponding to an EHT MCS table. When a TRS is included in a NEXT PPDU, a UL HE-MCS subfield (or a subfield related to MCS) included in the TRS may indicate a value corresponding to a NEXT MCS table. In addition, the RU allocation subfield may also be interpreted differently based on a PPDU format including a TRS.
[0297] Fig. 22A UL OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) based random access (UORA) operation according to an embodiment of the present invention is shown.
[0298] According to an embodiment, the UORA operation may be an operation of responding based on the RA-RU included in the trigger frame. For example, when the OBO counter set by the STA is reduced based on the number of RA-RUs indicated by the trigger frame and the OBO counter becomes 0, the operation of responding to the trigger frame through the RA-RU indicated by the trigger frame may be UORA.
[0299] Fig. 22 Can be used to solve Figure 10 to Figure 11 The operations for the problems described in the above paragraphs can be omitted.
[0300] According to one embodiment of the present invention, for a RA-RU indicated by a HE trigger frame or a trigger frame included in an HE PPDU, in addition to the HE STA, the EHT STA and the NEXT STA may also reduce the OBO counter and perform a UORA response. Therefore, in this case, it may be necessary to respond with an HE TB PPDU. Similarly, when responding to a RA-RU indicated by an EHT trigger frame or a trigger frame included in an EHT PPDU, an EHT TB PPDU may be used to respond. In addition, when responding to a RA-RU indicated by a NEXT trigger frame or a trigger frame included in a NEXT PPDU, a NEXT PPDU may be used to respond.
[0301] According to an embodiment of the present invention, when a TB PPDU response is performed to a trigger frame including an RA-RU, the response may be performed through a TB PPDU corresponding to an early standard capable of understanding a trigger frame and a PPDU including the trigger frame.
[0302] Reference Fig. 22 , which shows a case where a HETB PPDU is responded to when the OBO counter value of the EHT STA of the HE trigger frame indicating the RA-RU is 0.
[0303] Fig.23 A UL MU operation according to another embodiment of the present invention is shown.
[0304] According to an embodiment of the present invention, when the STA is the only STA indicated by a certain trigger frame or TRS, it can respond with any TB PPDU. Alternatively, when the STA is the only STA indicated by a certain trigger frame or TRS included in a PPDU including a trigger frame and TRS, it can respond with any TB PPDU. That is, in this case, even if it is not applied Figures 13 to 22 The embodiment described in the above description will not cause the following Figure 10 to Figure 11 The problem described in .
[0305] According to an embodiment of the present invention, it can be determined that the STA is the only indicated STA based on the number of user information fields included in the trigger frame. For example, when the number of user information fields included in the trigger frame is 1, it can be the only indicated STA. That is, when the frame indicating the transmission of the TB PPDU does not include a special user field but only includes one user information field, the STA corresponding to the user information field can be the only STA that sends the TB PPDU from the AP STA through the frame indication.
[0306] In addition, when the RU received by the STA is the only RU used by the trigger frame or the PPDU including the TRS, it can be the only STA indicated.
[0307] In addition, when it is satisfied that the RA of the frame received by the STA is an individual address indicating the STA, the STA may be the only STA instructed from the AP STA to transmit the TB PPDU.
[0308] In addition, when the PPDU received by the STA is a SU (single user) PPDU, the STA can be the only STA instructed by the AP STA to send a TB PPDU. In this case, the SU PPDU can be a HE SU PPDU, a HE ER SU PPDU, a HE MU PPDU, or an EHT MU PPDU. In this case, the HE MU PPDU and the EHT MU PPDU may include only a user information field or a terminal identifier (STA-ID).
[0309] According to an embodiment, when the above conditions are met at the same time, it can be determined that the STA is the only STA instructed by the AP STA to send a TBPPDU.
[0310] According to an embodiment, the trigger frame, the TRS, or the PPDU including the trigger frame or the TRS may include information indicating that the TB PPDU format is feasible regardless of the format of the TB PPDU of the response.
[0311] Reference Fig.23, the trigger frame included in the SU PPDU may indicate the STA corresponding to the AID12 value X. The trigger frame may include only one user information field. In addition, the RU including the trigger frame may be the only RU used by the PPDU including the trigger frame. In this case, the TB PPDU responding to the above-mentioned trigger frame may have any TB PPDU format without problem. For example, when the STA corresponding to the AID12 value X is an EHT STA, the trigger frame may be responded to through the HE TB PPDU, or the trigger frame may also be responded to through the EHT TB PPDU.
[0312] Fig.24 FIG. 2 is a diagram showing a method for indicating a TB PPDU format according to an embodiment of the present invention. Fig.24 As a method of indicating whether the format of the TB PPDU is VHT, HE, EHT or a next generation format (such as NEXT, etc.), it is an additional explanation of the above embodiment, and the same content as the above content can be omitted. For example, based on the user information field of the trigger frame, the format of the TB PPDU can be indicated by a specific format.
[0313] Reference Fig.24, the AP STA or non-AP STA may indicate the format of the TB PPDU as a response to the frame using the user information field included in the frame. Specifically, the AP STA may indicate the format of the TB PPDU as a response to the frame as a specific format by setting the value of the AID12 subfield included in the user format of the trigger frame to a specific value. For example, when the value of the AID12 subfield is preset, the TB PPDU is triggered to be sent by the user information field included after the preset value, and the terminal may respond by the format of the TB PPDU indicated by the preset value of the AID subfield. In addition, in this case, when the preset value of the AID12 subfield is multiple, the TB PPDE may be sent according to the format of the TB PPDU indicated by the AID12 subfield located at a preset position (e.g., the last position). That is, when the preset value of the AID subfield is '1', a response using format 1 of the TB PPDU may be indicated, and when the preset value of the AID12 subfield is '2', a response using format 2 of the TB PPDU may be indicated. At this time, if there is a user information field located later than the user information fields including the preset values '1' and '2', respectively, the format of the TB PPDU as a response to the frame can be determined by the user information field located at the end. Alternatively, when the TB PPDU transmission is triggered by the user information field X located later than the user information field including the preset value '1', the user information field X exists before the user information field including the preset value '2', or there is no user information field indicating the PPDU format after the user information field X, the TB PPDU format indicated by the preset value '1' can be used as a response to the frame.
[0314] Alternatively, in the case of a user information field response that is not followed by a user information field indicating a PPDU format, a preset PPDU format, such as an HE TB PPDU format, may be used to respond. Alternatively, in the case of a user information field response that is present before all user information fields indicating a PPDU format, a preset PPDU format, such as an HE TB PPDU format, may be used to respond.
[0315] like Fig.24As shown, the trigger frame (or the special frame indicating the transmission of the TB PPDU) may include signaling indicating the TB PPDU format to indicate the transmission of the TB PPDU. For example, the trigger frame may include a user information 3 field indicating a response in the EHT PPDU format and a user information 6 field indicating a response in the NEXT TB PPDU format. At this time, the value of the AID12 subfield contained in the user information 3 field may be set to a value indicating the transmission of the EHT TB PPDU, and the value of the AID12 subfield contained in the user information 6 field may be set to a value indicating the transmission of the NEXT TB PPDU.
[0316] Alternatively, when TB PPDU transmission is triggered by the User Information 4 field or the User Information 5 field located after the User Information 3 field, the TB PPDU may be transmitted based on the TB PPDU format (e.g., EHT TB PPDU, etc.) indicated by the User Information 4 field or the User Information 5 field. In addition, when TB PPDU transmission is triggered by the User Information 7 field or the User Information 8 field located after the User Information 6 field, the TB PPDU may be transmitted based on the TB PPDU format (e.g., NEXT TB PPDU, etc.) indicated by the User Information 7 field or the User Information 8 field.
[0317] In addition, when the TB PPDU transmission is indicated by the user information field located before the user information field indicating the TB PPDU format, the format of the TB PPDU can be determined based on the user information field indicating the TB PPDU transmission. Fig.23 When the User Information 1 field or the User Information 2 field is triggered, the format of the TB PPDU sent as a response to the frame can be HE TB PPDU.
[0318] Alternatively, when there is a user information field indicating the HE TB PPDU format and TB PPDU transmission is triggered by a user information field located after the user information field indicating the HE TB PPDU format, the format TB PPDU transmitted as a response to the frame may be the HE TB PPDU.
[0319] Fig.24 The User Information 7 field and the User Information 8 field are located after the User Information field indicating the EHT TB PPDU and the User Information field indicating the NEXT TB PPDU. In this case, since the User Information 6 field indicating the NEXT TB PPDU is located after the User Information 3 field indicating the EHT TB PPDU, the format of the TB PPDU triggered by the User Information 7 field or the User Information 8 field can be the NEXT TB PPDU.
[0320] In addition, when the transmission of the TB PPDU is indicated by the User Information 4 field or the User Information 5 field, the User Information 4 field and the User Information 5 field are located after the User Information 3 field indicating the EHT TB PPDU and before the User Information 6 field indicating the NEXT TB PPDU. Accordingly, the format of the TB PPDU indicated by the User Information field or the User Information 5 field may be the EHT TB PPDU.
[0321] According to an embodiment of the present invention, the lengths of the common information field and the user information field of the EHT standard and the NEXT standard may be the same as the lengths of the common information field and the user information field of the HE standard, respectively. Fig.23 In addition to the described method for indicating the TB PPDU format based on the user information field, the method can also be applied to other embodiments of the present invention such as the method for indicating the TB PPDU format based on the common information field.
[0322] This method is to prevent legacy terminals (e.g., STAs that comply with the HE standard or standards prior to the HE standard) that cannot decode PPDUs according to the EHT standard or the NEXT standard from performing unintentional TB PPDU transmission. For example, when the length of the common information field or the user information field of the EHT standard and the NEXT standard is different from that of the HE standard, when the HE STA interprets the trigger frame according to the HE standard, it can be identified as a trigger PPDU transmission such as the AID12 subfield. In this case, the HE STA may perform the transmission of the HE TB PPDU, and this is different from the intention of the STA that transmits the trigger frame, so the HE TB PPDU may act as interference on other TB PPDUs, and the HE TB PPDU itself may also not be received by the STA that transmits the trigger frame.
[0323] According to an embodiment, the length of the common information field and the user information field may be Fig.12 The same as shown in the above. For example, except for the trigger dependency common information subfield, the common information field may be 64 bits (8 octets). In addition, except for the user dependency user information subfield, the user information field may be 40 bits (5 octets). In addition, in the case of a basic trigger frame, there is no trigger dependency common information subfield and the length of the trigger dependency user information subfield may be 8 bits (1 octet).
[0324] However, in this case, the length of the user information field after the AID12 subfield of the preset value may be different from the length of the user information field of the HE standard. For example, the value of the preset AID12 subfield may be 4095. That is, the value of the preset AID12 subfield may be a value in which all bits are set to 1. The value may be the same value as the value indicating the start of padding of the trigger frame. Therefore, the HE STA may ignore the user information field after the AID12 subfield of the preset value, thereby not transmitting an unintentional HETB PPDU even if the length of the user information field is different.
[0325] As another embodiment of the present invention, when there are multiple user information fields or AID12 subfields indicating the TB PPDU format, the user information field or AID12 subfield may be included in the frame according to a set order. For example, the user information field or AID12 subfield may be included in the frame in order according to the format of each indicated TB PPDU.
[0326] That is, when the format of the TB PPDU indicated by the user information field or the AID12 subfield is a legacy format, the user information field or the AID12 subfield may be located before other user information fields or the AID12 subfields.
[0327] For example, when the format of the TB PPDU indicated by the user information field or the AID12 subfield is an EHT TB PPDU, the user information field or the AID12 subfield may be located before the user information field or the AID12 subfield indicating the NEXT TB PPDU. In addition, when the format of the TB PPDU indicated by the user information field or the AID12 subfield is an HE TB PPDU, the user information field or the AID12 subfield may be located before the user information field or the AID12 subfield indicating the EHT TB PPDU.
[0328] The user information field may indicate an additional common information field. As described above, the common information field may include information that is common to all STAs or multiple STAs receiving the frame. For example, when the AID12 subfield is a preset value, the user information field including the AID12 subfield may include an additional common information field. This is because the size of the information that can be included in the common information field included in the existing frame may be limited.
[0329] That is, Fig.24 As shown, the user information 1 field may include additional public information. At this time, the AID12 subfield included in the user information 1 field may be set to display a preset value including the public information.
[0330] Fig.25 is a diagram showing another example of a trigger frame format according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[0331] Reference Fig.25 When indicating a TB PPDU, the value of the AID12 subfield can be set differently for each format to indicate the format of the TB PPDU. Specifically, Fig.25 As an embodiment for solving the above-mentioned problem, the same contents as those described above may be omitted.
[0332] Specifically, as described above, a specific value of the AID12 subfield or the user information field can indicate RA-RU. However, when the method for indicating the TB PPDU format is designed to be the same as the method for indicating the TB PPDU to the legacy terminal, the problem that the legacy terminal interprets the value of the user information field or the AID12 subfield for indicating the format of the TB PPDU to the next-generation terminal differently and responds may occur.
[0333] For example, the value of the user information field or AID12 subfield indicating EHT TB PPDU transmission is interpreted as a value indicating RA-RU used by a legacy terminal (eg, HE STA) to indicate UORA operation of HE, so that the legacy terminal can respond with HETB PPDU.
[0334] Therefore, if Fig. 22 As described above, when the value of the AID12 subfield or the user field indicating RA-RU is used, the STA can respond by the HE TB PPDU. For example, if the STA is capable of sending EHT TB PPDU and HE TB PPDU, the response to the frame including the AID12 subfield or the user information field indicating RA-RU can send the HE TB PPDU.
[0335] In this case, if Fig.24 As described above, the STA sending the trigger frame can use the AID12 subfield or the user information field indicating the RA-RU to indicate the HE TB PPDU response. Therefore, when the value indicating the RA-RU of the AID12 subfield or the user information field is used, additional rules or implementations may not be required to indicate the PPDU format of the frame. That is, when the AID12 subfield or the user information field indicates the RA-RU, the STA can identify the response to the frame as the HE TB PPDU.
[0336] That is, the user information field contained in the frame or the specific value of the AID12 subfield contained in the user information field can be used to indicate the RA-RU of the STA supporting HE. In this case, indicating the RA-RU A specific value can indicate that the response to the frame is an HE TB PPDU. Therefore, as a response to the frame, the value of the user information field or the AID12 subfield contained in the user information field for indicating an EHT TB PPDU or NEXT TB PPDU can be set to a value other than a specific value for indicating the UORA operation of HE.
[0337] For example, an AP STA may send a frame indicating the sending (or triggering) of a TB PPDU to one or more non-AP STAs. In this case, the value of the user information field or the AID12 subfield of the user information field contained in the frame may be set differently according to the format of the TB PPDU indicated to be sent.
[0338] For example, when the value of the AID12 subfield indicates the transmission of the EHT TB PPDU, it can be set to a value other than the first specific value (e.g., '2045') and / or the second specific value (e.g., '0'). At this time, when a specific condition is met, the second specific value can also be used to indicate the transmission of the EHT TB PPDU.
[0339] Therefore, the AID12 subfield can be set to a first specific value (e.g., '2045') or a second specific value (e.g., '0') to indicate that HE TB PPDU is sent instead of EHT TB PPDU. At this time, the first specific value can be used to indicate the response of HE TB PPDU, and when the specific condition is not met, the second specific value can be used to indicate HE TB PPDU transmission.
[0340] That is, the AP STA can set the value of the AID12 subfield to the first specific value, and include the HE variant user information field for indicating HETB PPDU transmission in the frame to be sent to the non-AP STA. At this time, when the specific condition is not met, the second specific value can be used to indicate HE TB PPDU transmission.
[0341] In order to indicate the RA-RU for UORA operation of HE, when the value of the user information field or the AID12 subfield included in the user information field is set to the first specific value (e.g., '2045') or the second specific value (e.g., '0'), the STA may send the HE TB PPDU as a response to the frame. However, when the value of the user information field or the AID12 subfield included in the user information field is set to a value other than the first specific value or the second specific value, the STA may send the EHT TB PPDU or the NEXT TB PPDU as a response to the frame.
[0342] The first specific value may be used to indicate the RA-RU to a STA that is unassociated with the AP, and the second specific value may be used to indicate the RA-RU to a STA that is associated with the AP.
[0343] At this time, when a specific condition is met, the second specific value can be used to indicate that the EHT TB PPDU or NEXT TB PPDU is sent. For example, the specific condition may be that all STAs associated with the AP are not legacy STAs (for example, all can perform EHT TB PPDU transmission) or are legacy STAs that cannot perform EHT STA and / or HE TB PPDU transmission but not HE transmission (that is, the case of STAs other than legacy STAs that cannot perform EHT TB PPDU transmission and can perform HE TB PPDU transmission), the case where none of the associated legacy STAs (terminals that cannot perform EHT TB PPDU transmission) support UORA operation, or the frame indicating TB PPDU transmission is included in the EHT PPDU and is sent. At this time, the case where none of the legacy STAs (terminals that cannot perform EHT TB PPDU transmission) support UORA operation includes the case where the value of the capability subfield (capability subfield) that sends the display STA to the AP indicates that it does not support UORA operation.
[0344] That is, the situation where legacy STAs (terminals that cannot send EHT TB PPDUs) do not support UORA operations may include the situation where the value of the capability subfield sent by the STA to the AP is set to a value indicating that UORA operations are not supported, or the situation where the STA association does not support the UORA operation itself.
[0345] In other words, the above conditions in which none of the STAs associated with the AP is a legacy terminal (for example, both can perform EHT TB PPDU transmission) can also be applied to the case where the AP is associated with a STA that can transmit the EHT TB PPDU. That is, there is only an STA associated with the AP that can transmit the EHT TB PPDU, so in this case, '0' as the second specific value can be used as the value of the AID12 subfield or the user information field. Therefore, in this case, it can be determined that the second specific value satisfies the specific condition, and can be used to indicate the transmission of the EHT TB PPDU or the NEXT TB PPDU.
[0346] In addition, the TB PPDU that the AP can indicate through the frame can only indicate a TB PPDU of one format. For example, the AP can indicate only the HE TB PPDU or the EHT TB PPDU (or NEXT TB PPDU) through the frame, and cannot indicate both the HE TB PPDU and the EHTTB PPDU at the same time. Therefore, when the frame indicates the EHT TB PPDU, the HE TB PPDU transmission cannot be indicated through the frame, and therefore, the value of the user information field or the AID12 subfield contained in the user information field cannot be set to '2045'.
[0347] In addition, in an embodiment of responding to HE TB PPDU based on the AID12 subfield or user information field indicating RA-RU, the trigger frame may be limited to a case where it is included in a non-HE PPDU, a non-HT repeat PPDU, a HE PPDU, a VHT PPDU or a HT PPDU.
[0348] There may be a value of the AID12 subfield or the user information field indicating that it is responded by HE TB PPDU and indicates RA-RU. For example, when the value of the AID12 subfield is 0 or 2045, the value of the AID12 subfield may indicate RA-RU for UORA operation and at the same time indicate that the response format for the frame is HE TB PPDU.
[0349] In addition, there may be an AID12 subfield or a user information field indicating that the EHT TB PPDU or NEXT TB PPDU is responded to and indicates the RA-RU. For example, the preset value of the AID12 subfield indicating that the EHT TB PPDU or NEXT TB PPDU is responded to and indicates the RA-RU may be a value other than 0, 1 to 2007, 2045, 2046, and / or 4095.
[0350] That is, the value of the AID12 or user information field for RA-RU allocation for UORA operation and indicating EHT TB PPDU or NEXT TB PPDU transmission of a STA that can perform EHT PPDU or NEXT PPDU transmission (for example, an EHT STA that supports EHT or a NEXT STA that supports the NEXT standard) can be set to a value other than the value of the AID12 subfield or user information field for RA-RU allocation for UORA operation of a STA that cannot perform EHT TB PPDU or NEXT TB PPDU transmission.
[0351] For example, as described above, when the frame for triggering TB PPDU transmission indicates EHT TB PPDU transmission, the value of the AID12 subfield or the user information field may be set to a value other than at least one specific value. That is, the value of the AID12 subfield or the user information field may be set to a value other than at least one specific value for indicating the RA-RU of the STA that cannot perform EHT TB PPDU transmission.
[0352] At this time, at least one specific value may include a first feature (e.g., '2045') for indicating RA-RU to a STA not associated with the AP, and a second specific value (e.g., '0') for indicating RA-RU to a STA associated with the AP may be included in at least one specific value depending on whether a specific condition is met.
[0353] The specific conditions are the same as above, and when the specific conditions are met, it can be set to the value of the AID12 subfield or user information field used to indicate RA-RU and EHT TB PPDU or NEXT TB PPDU transmission to the STA capable of EHT TB PPDU or NEXT TB PPDU transmission.
[0354] However, when the specific condition is not met, the second specific value is included in at least one specific value and is set as the value of the AID12 subfield or user information field used to indicate RA-RU and EHT TB PPDU or NEXT TB PPDU transmission to the STA capable of EHT TB PPDU or NEXT TB PPDU transmission.
[0355] like Fig.15 As shown, when the value of the AID12 subfield is 0, the value of the AID12 subfield can be used to indicate one or more RA-RUs for the associated STA. In addition, the value of the AID12 subfield 1 to 2007 can be used to indicate an associated STA with a corresponding AID, and 2045 can be used to indicate one or more RA-RUs of an unassociated STA. The value of the AID12 subfield 2046 can be used to indicate an unallocated RU, and 4095 can be used to indicate the start of the padding field of the frame.
[0356] like Fig.24 As shown in FIG. 1 , the padding field of the trigger frame can be located in the middle of the user information field. In this case, the padding field can be called a mid-padding field. Fig.12The user information field may be a field different from the padding field described in the specification and may be a type of user information field. For example, when the AID12 subfield is a preset value, the user information field may be an intermediate padding field. Specifically, the user information field including the AID12 subfield having the preset value may be included in the middle of the user information list field, and the user information field including such an AID12 subfield may be an intermediate padding field.
[0357] Alternatively, the user information field including the AID2 subfield having a preset value may also be included in a non-last position of the user information list field.
[0358] At this time, the preset value may be the same as the value indicating the start of the padding field. For example, the preset value may be 4095. Alternatively, the preset value may be a value in which all bits are 1. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the TB PPDU format may be determined based on the relative position between the user information field of the RU sent by the STA and the middle padding field. For example, the TB PPDU format may be determined based on the relative position between the user information field of the RA-RU sent by the STA and the middle padding field. For example, in order for the HE STA to not recognize the user information field after the middle padding field, the middle padding field may be included.
[0359] More specifically, in order for the HE STA to be unable to recognize the user information field indicating the RA-RU after the middle padding field, the middle padding field may be included. When the middle padding field is included, the HE STA may recognize the field or value after the middle padding field as Fig.12 In addition, the length of the middle padding field may be the same as the length of the user information field. As an embodiment, the rest of the middle padding field except the AID12 subfield may be set to a preset value. As another embodiment, the rest of the middle padding field except the AID12 subfield may be set to an arbitrary value.
[0360] In the embodiment of the present invention, the response to the user information field indicating a certain RA-RU refers to the case where the selected RU from the multiple RA-RUs indicated by the trigger frame including the user information field is the certain RA-RU. For example, when the OBO counter becomes 0 in the above-mentioned UORA operation, the process of selecting the RU to be sent from the one or more RA-RUs indicated by the trigger frame may be included.
[0361] At this time, the RU for UORA operation can be arbitrarily selected from one or more RA-RUs. In the present invention, responding to the RA-RU may include responding based on the user information field indicating the RA-RU, or in the case of selecting the RA-RU, or the OBO counter becomes 0 and the RU is selected as the RA-RU to be sent.
[0362] According to one embodiment of the present invention, when responding based on the RA-RU indicated by the user information field before the middle padding field, or when responding by the RA-RU indicated by the user information field before the middle padding field, a pre-set PPDU format may be used for response. For example, the pre-set PPDU format may be an HE TBPPDU format. In addition, the value of the AID12 subfield included in the user information field indicating the RA-RU may be 0 or 2045.
[0363] According to these present embodiments, when the HE STA responds to the RA-RU, it will respond with the HE TB PPDU format that is the only TB PPDU format that the HE STA can transmit. In addition, the EHT STA and the NEXT STA that can transmit multiple TB PPDU formats including the HE TB PPDU format can respond with the HE TB PPDU based on the relative position of the middle padding field with the user information field indicating the RA-RU when responding to the RA-RU.
[0364] Reference Fig.25 , the trigger frame may include an intermediate padding field. In addition, the RA-RU may be indicated by the User Information 1 field. If the STA responds to the RA-RU indicated by the User Information 1 field, the HE TB PPDU format may be used for transmission. This may be because the RA-RU to which the STA responds is indicated by the User Information field that exists before the intermediate padding field.
[0365] In the present disclosure, the case where the relative position of the middle padding field of the responded RA-RU and the user information field is in front is described, but the present invention is not limited to this. It can also be defined as using the HETB PPDU format and applying it when it exists after the middle padding field.
[0366] In addition, according to an embodiment of the present invention, when responding based on the RA-RU indicated by the user information field after the middle padding field, or when responding in the case where the user information field after the middle padding field is indicated by the RA-RU, the above-mentioned Figures 15 to 24The TB PPDU format indication or determination method can determine and send the format of the TB PPDU. Indicates that in the user information field of the RA-RU, the value of the AID12 subfield can be set to 0 or 2045. For example, assuming that Fig.24 When describing the TB PPDU format indication method, if the user information field indicating sending the RA-RU exists after the middle filling field, the TB PPDU format sent to the UORA can be determined based on where the user information field indicating sending the RA-RU exists relative to the user information field indicating the TB PPDU format.
[0367] Alternatively, if the common information field includes TB PPDU format indication signaling, and the user information field indicating the transmitted RA-RU exists after the middle padding field, the TB PPDU format may be selected based on the TB PPDU format indication signaling.
[0368] like Fig.25 As shown, the trigger frame may include an intermediate padding field. At this time, the user information 5 field may indicate RA-RU, and the user information 7 field may also indicate RA-RU. And, according to Fig.24 The illustrated embodiment may also include a User Information field indicating the TB PPDU format, and the User Information 2 field may indicate the EHT TB PPDU format. In addition, the User Information 6 field may indicate the NEXT TB PPDU format.
[0369] If the STA responds to the RA-RU indicated by the User Information 5 field, the EHT TB PPDU format indicated by the User Information 2 field may be used for transmission. This is because the RA-RU to which the STA responds is indicated by the User Information field present after the middle padding field, and the User Information field indicating the RA-RU is located after the User Information 2 field indicating the EHT TB PPDU format. In addition, it may be because the User Information 5 field is located before the User Information 6 indicating a different PPDU format.
[0370] Alternatively, if the STA responds to the RA-RU indicated by the User Information 7 field, the STA may transmit using the NEXT TB PPDU format indicated by the User Information 6 field. This is because the RA-RU to which the STA responds is indicated by the User Information field present after the middle padding field, and the User Information field indicating the RA-RU is located after the User Information 6 field indicating the NEXT TB PPDU format. In addition, it may also be because the User Information field indicating a different PPDU format does not exist after the User Information 7 field.
[0371] According to these present embodiments, the HE STA may recognize the value present after the middle padding field as a padding field and may not understand the user information field indicating the RA-RU. In addition, when the EHT STA and the NEXT STA that can send multiple TBPPDU formats including the HE TB PPDU format respond in the RA-RU, based on the relative position of the middle padding field with the user information field indicating the RA-RU, it can respond with a format based on the TB PPDU format indication method.
[0372] In the present disclosure, the case where the relative position of the middle padding field of the user information of the RA-RU indicating the response is at the rear is described, but the present invention is not limited to this. When it exists before the middle padding field, it can be defined and applied as using the format indicated by the TB PPDU format method instead of the HE TB PPDU format.
[0373] According to an embodiment of the present invention, it may be necessary to distinguish between intermediate padding fields and padding fields ( Fig.25 This is because the EHT STA and the NEXT STA cannot ignore the information after the intermediate filling field, but can ignore the information of the filling field. Therefore, according to an embodiment of the present invention, there may be signaling indicating whether the intermediate filling field exists.
[0374] For example, the common information field may include signaling indicating whether an intermediate padding field exists. For example, whether an intermediate padding field exists may be indicated based on the UL length field. More specifically, whether an intermediate padding field exists may be indicated based on the UL length field mod 3 value. Alternatively, referring to Fig.12 , it can be indicated whether there is an intermediate padding field based on the UL HE-SIG-A2 reserved subfield (B54 to B62) or reserved (B63) included in the common information field.
[0375] According to another embodiment, the user information field may include signaling indicating whether the intermediate padding field exists. For example, the presence of the intermediate padding field may be indicated based on a bit included in the intermediate padding field. For example, the presence of the intermediate padding field may be indicated based on a pre-set bit other than the AID12 subfield included in the intermediate padding field.
[0376] For example, the pre-set bit may be a bit after the AID12 subfield (one bit of the RU allocation subfield). This may be because Fig.12All bits of the padding field shown may be set to 1. According to another embodiment, a user information field different from the middle padding field may indicate whether the middle padding field exists. For example, the user information field indicating whether the middle padding field exists may exist before the middle padding field. More specifically, the user information field indicating whether the middle padding field exists may exist just before the middle padding field.
[0377] In an embodiment, the AID12 subfield in the user information field indicating whether the intermediate filling field exists may be set to a preset value. Alternatively, as an embodiment, the user information field indicating whether the intermediate filling field exists may be a field indicating whether the intermediate filling field exists. Fig.23 For example, a bit other than the AID12 subfield indicating the user information field of the TB PPDU format may be used to indicate whether there is an intermediate padding field. Fig.24 , the User Information 2 field existing before the middle padding field may indicate whether the middle padding field exists. In addition, the User Information 2 field may be a User Information field indicating the EHT TB PPDU format.
[0378] According to an embodiment, the user information field after the user information field including the AID12 subfield value that the STA cannot recognize may be ignored. Alternatively, the user information field indicating the RA-RU after the user information field including the AID12 subfield value that the STA does not understand may be ignored. This may be to solve the above-mentioned problem of mixing TB PPDU formats sent from multiple STAs. Fig.24 , the EHT STA may not understand the AID12 subfield of the User Information 5 field indicating the NEXT TB PPDU. Therefore, the User Information 7 field existing after the User Information 6 field and the RA-RU indicating the User Information 7 field may be ignored.
[0379] Alternatively, according to an embodiment, a range of AID12 subfield values indicating the TB PPDU format may be reserved. For example, when defining the EHT standard, a range feasible by the NEXT standard may be defined. This embodiment may be applicable to use in Fig.24 This section describes the TBPPDU format.
[0380] According to an embodiment, the user information field indicating RA-RU indicated after the AID12 subfield may be ignored compared to the reserved value range (ie, may be a value belonging to a later standard compared to the standard supported by the STA). Fig.24, the EHTSTA may know that the AID12 subfield of the User Information 6 field indicating the NEXT TB PPDU is a value for future standards. Therefore, the User Information 7 field existing after the User Information 6 field and the RA-RU indicating the User Information 7 field may be ignored.
[0381] In the present disclosure, ignoring the user information field may mean not responding based on the user information field. Alternatively, ignoring the user information field may mean not responding to the RU indicated by the user information field. Alternatively, ignoring the user information field may mean not reducing the OBO counter based on the user information field.
[0382] According to an embodiment, the length of the user information field present after the middle padding field may be different from the length of the user information field defined in the HE standard.
[0383] According to the embodiment of the present disclosure, when using Fig.24 and 25 When the TB PPDU format indication method described in , the user information field indicating RA-RU may only exist on one side of the display of a TB PPDU format. Fig.24 One of the User Information 1 field, User Information 5 field, and User Information 7 field shown.
[0384] According to an embodiment, when using Fig.24 and 25 When the TB PPDU format indication method described in , the user information field indicating RA-RU can be present on the side showing multiple TB PPDU formats. That is, Fig.24 The user information 1 field, user information 5 field, and user information 7 field shown can exist at the same time.
[0385] In addition, the STA can reduce the OBO counter or select the RU to be sent based only on the user information field indicating the RA-RU corresponding to the supported TB PPDU format. In addition, when the STA selects the RA-RU to be sent when the OBO counter becomes 0, the user information field indicating the RA-RU follows Fig.23 and Fig.24 When the method described in , a response may be made according to which TB PPDU format is used. That is, the RU to be sent may be selected from the RA-RU corresponding to the supported format, and the TB PPDU format corresponding to the selected RU may be used to respond. In another embodiment, the RU to be sent may be selected from the RA-RU regardless of whether it can be supported, and the TB PPDU format corresponding to the selected RU may be used to respond, or when the TB PPDU format corresponding to the selected RU is not supported, no response may be made. In this case, the OBO counter may be reset.
[0386] According to an embodiment, there may be one OBO counter in the STA. In addition, the above embodiment may be applied to the case where there is one OBO counter in the STA.
[0387] According to another embodiment, there may be multiple OBO counters in the STA. For example, the OBO counters corresponding to each standard supported by the STA may exist separately. Fig.23 and Fig.24 The RA-RU corresponding to the TB PPDU format indication method described in the specification can reduce the corresponding standard OBO counter. Fig.24 , the OBO counter corresponding to the HE standard is reduced based on user information 1, the OBO counter corresponding to the EHT standard is reduced based on user information 5, and the OBO counter corresponding to the NEXT standard can be reduced based on user information 7. In addition, when the OBO counter corresponding to a certain standard becomes 0, it can be selected from the RA-RU indicated by the corresponding standard and sent.
[0388] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a TB PPDU may be responded to based on the TB PPDU format information received from the AP or the standard information of the surrounding STAs. In addition, the TB PPDU format information or the standard information of the surrounding STAs may be included in a management frame sent by the AP. The management frame may include one of an Association Response frame, a Reassociation Response frame, a Beacon frame, and a Probe Response frame.
[0389] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the TB PPDU format may be determined based on the observation of the STA. For example, when the STA receives a frame or HE PPDU from a HE STA of the same BSS, it may respond with a HE TB PPDU. Alternatively, when the STA does not receive a frame or HE PPDU from a HE STA of the same BSS, it may respond with an EHT TB PPDU or a NEXT TB PPDU.
[0390] According to an embodiment, the TRS control field may include a format identifier or a version identifier. In addition, the 20 MHz subchannel of the RU indicated by the TRS control subfield as a HE variant may be Figures 15 to 25The TB PPDU format indication method described in is not indicated so as to be responded by the EHT TB PPDU format or the NEXT TB PPDU format. Similarly, the 20MHz subchannel of the RU indicated by the TRS control field as an EHT variant can be responded by Figures 15 to 25 The TB PPDU format indication method described in is not indicated so as to be responded by the HE TB PPDU format or the NEXT TB PPDU format.
[0391] The 20MHz subchannel of the RU indicated by the TRS control field as a NEXT variant can be Figures 15 to 25 The TB PPDU format indication method described in is not indicated so as to be responded by the HE TB PPDU format or the EHT TB PPDU format.
[0392] Fig.26 A method for indicating a trigger frame format and RA-RU according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is shown.
[0393] Reference Fig.26 The format of the TB PPDU and the RA-RU can be indicated by using the user information field included in the above frame or the value of the AID12 subfield included in the user information field. Fig.26 The same contents as above may be omitted.
[0394] Specifically, as described above, an AID12 subfield or a user information field indicating the RA-RU and the frame response PPDU format may be included in the frame.
[0395] For example, as described above, when the AID12 subfield is 0 or 2045, it indicates RA-RU, and the transmission of HE TB PPDU can be indicated as a response to the frame. At this time, the AID12 subfield value of 0 may indicate the RA-RU for STAs associated with the AP, and the AID12 subfield value of 2045 may indicate the RA-RU for STAs not associated with the AP. In addition, there may be an AID12 subfield or user information field indicating RA-RU and indicating that the response PPDU format is EHT TB PPDU. And, at this time, the value indicating the RA-RU for STAs associated with the AP and the value indicating the RA-RU for STAs not associated with the AP may each exist.
[0396] Similarly, there may be an AID12 subfield or a user information field indicating that the response PPDU format is a NEXT TB PPDU. And at this time, a value indicating the RA-RU for STAs associated with the AP and a value indicating the RA-RU for STAs not associated with the AP may each exist.
[0397] According to another embodiment, when the AID12 subfield is a preset value, it indicates RA-RU and indicates that the response PPDU format is EHT TB PPDU or NEXT TB PPDU (that is, it can indicate that it is not an HE TB PPDU format). For example, the preset value may be a value that is not 0 and not 2045. In addition, the preset value may be a value from 2008 to 2044 or a value from 2047 to 4094. In addition, in this case, the method of selecting the PPDU format in the EHT TB PPDU or NEXT TB PPDU may additionally use Fig.23 The method described in the embodiment or other embodiments of the present invention, therefore, may not cause problems.
[0398] Reference Fig.26 , the trigger frame may indicate RA-RU and include a user information field indicating that the response PPDU format is HE TB PPDU. The value of the AID12 subfield of these user information fields may be 0 or 2045. In addition, the trigger frame may indicate RA-RU and include a user information field indicating that the response PPDU format is EHT TB PPDU. Fig.26 , the value of the AID12 subfield of these user information fields may be X. In addition, the trigger frame may indicate RA-RU and include a user information field indicating that the response PPDU format is NEXT TB PPDU. Fig.25 , the value of the AID12 subfield of these user information fields may be Y. In addition, as described above, according to an embodiment, X and Y may be the same value.
[0399] According to an embodiment, the HE STA reduces the OBO counter and may select the RU for the RA-RU whose user information field AID12 subfield is set to 0 or 2045. In addition, the HE STA may not recognize the user information field whose AID12 subfield is set to X or Y and the RA-RU indicated thereby.
[0400] In addition, according to an embodiment, the EHT STA reduces the OBO counter and selects the RU for the RA-RU of the user information field whose AID12 subfield is set to 0, 2045, or X. In this case, the EHT STA can obtain more random access opportunities than the HE STA. In addition, at this time, when the EHT STA responds in the RA-RU indicated by the user information field whose AID12 subfield is set to 0 or 2045, it can respond through the HE TB PPDU. In addition, at this time, when the EHT STA responds in the RA-RU indicated by the user information field whose AID12 subfield is set to X, it can respond through the EHT TB PPDU.
[0401] Furthermore, according to another embodiment, the RA-RU candidate that decreases the OBO counter or determines UORA transmission (makes the OBO counter become 0) and the RA-RU candidate selected when sending the UORA may be different from each other.
[0402] In addition, according to another embodiment, the EHT STA reduces the OBO counter for the RA-RU of the user information field whose AID12 subfield is set to 0, 2045 or X, and can select the RU in the RA-RU of the user information field whose AID12 subfield is set to X. In addition, at this time, when the EHT STA responds in the RA-RU indicated by the user information field whose AID12 subfield is set to X, it can respond through the EHT TB PPDU.
[0403] In addition, according to another embodiment, the EHT STA reduces the OBO counter for the RA-RU of the user information field whose AID12 subfield is set to 0, 2045, X or Y, and may select the RA-RU of the user information field whose AID12 subfield is set to 0, 2045 or X. In this case, the EHT STA can obtain more random access opportunities than the HE STA. In addition, since the EHT STA reduces the OBO counter for the RA-RU such as the NEXT STA, the random access opportunity can be obtained fairly.
[0404] In addition, according to another embodiment, the EHT STA reduces the OBO counter and may select the RU for the RA-RU of the user information field whose AID12 subfield is set to X. That is, the EHT STA may not reduce the OBO counter for the RA-RU of the user information field whose AID12 subfield is set to 0 or 2045.
[0405] However, when the EHT STA decreases the OBO counter for the AID12 subfield X, in order to decrease the OBO counter based on the RA-RU of the user information field whose value of the AID12 subfield is set to '0' or '2045', the OBO counter may be reset. Similarly, when the EHT STA maintains the OBO counter for the AID12 subfield set to '0' or '2045', in order to decrease the OBO counter based on the RA-RU of the user information field whose value of the AID12 subfield is set to 'X', the OBO counter may be reset.
[0406] In addition, the EHT STA does not select the RU for the RA-RU of the user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to 0 or 2045. In this case, the fairness loss caused by the EHT STA obtaining more random access opportunities than the HE STA in the previous embodiment can be prevented. In addition, at this time, when the EHT STA responds in the RA-RU indicated by the user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to X, it can respond through the EHT TB PPDU.
[0407] In addition, according to another embodiment, the EHT STA may have and manage multiple OBO counters. For example, the RA-RU for the user information field whose AID12 subfield is set to 0 or 2045 reduces the OBO counter A and can select the RU. The RA-RU for the user information field whose AID12 subfield is set to X reduces the OBO counter B and can select the RU. In addition, the RA-RU for the user information field whose AID12 subfield is set to Y reduces the OBO counter C and can select the RU.
[0408] In this case, the EHT STA may need to maintain multiple OBO counters, but may have more random access opportunities than the HE STA. In addition, at this time, when the EHT STA responds in the RA-RU indicated by the user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to 0 or 2045, it can respond through the HE TB PPDU. In addition, at this time, when the EHT STA responds in the RA-RU indicated by the user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to X, it can respond through the EHT TB PPDU. In addition, at this time, when the NEXT STA responds in the RA-RU indicated by the user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to Y, it can respond through the NEXT TB PPDU.
[0409] In addition, the NEXT STA can perform UORA using the same method described for the EHT STA. That is, according to one embodiment, the NEXT STA reduces the OBO counter for the RA-RU whose user information field is set to 0, 2045, X, or Y with the AID12 subfield and can maliciously select the RU. In addition, in the case of sending to UORA, the TB PPDU format can be based on the AID12 subfield indicating the RA-RU of the response. For example, when responding to the RA-RU indicated by the user information field with the AID12 subfield set to 0 or 2045, the HE TB PPDU is used, when responding to the RA-RU indicated by the user information field with the AID12 subfield set to X, the EHT TB PPDU is used, and when responding to the RA-RU indicated by the user information field with the AID12 subfield set to Y, the NEXT TB PPDU can be used.
[0410] According to another embodiment, the NEXT STA decrements the OBO counter and may select the RU for the RA-RU of the User Information field with the AID12 subfield set to Y. In addition, when sending to the UORA, the NEXT TB PPDU format may be used for the response.
[0411] Depending on the embodiment, X and Y may be values other than 0 or 2045, respectively, and in another embodiment, X and Y may be 0 or 2045, respectively.
[0412] See also Fig.26 The EHT STA reduces the OBO counter based on the RA-RU indicated by the user information 1 with AID12 set to 0 and the RA-RU indicated by the user information 5 with AID12 set to X. When the OBO counter becomes 0, the EHT STA can select and respond from the RA-RUs indicated by the user information 1 and the user information 5.
[0413] As another example, see Fig.25 The EHT STA reduces the OBO counter based on the RA-RU indicated by the user information 5 in which the AID12 is set to X. When the OBO counter becomes 0, the EHT STA can select and respond in the RA-RU indicated by the user information 5.
[0414] In an embodiment of the present disclosure, the case where the OBO counter becomes 0 may include the case where the number of RUs indicated as RA-RUs is equal to or greater than the remaining OBO counter. That is, if the OBO counter is reduced, it may include the case where it becomes less than 0.
[0415] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, Fig.26 The described embodiments may be used with Fig.24 Embodiments of Figures 15 to 20The embodiments and the like described in the present invention are used together with the TB PPDU format determination method. In this case, two or more methods may indicate different PPDU formats, and in this case, a pre-set method among the two or more methods may be used. For example, there may be a method used together Fig.24 The embodiments described in Fig.25 The situation of the embodiment described in .
[0416] In addition, refer to Fig.26 , the AID12 subfield value of the User Information 1 field may be set to 0 or 2045, and the AID12 subfield value of the User Information 3 field may be set to 0 or 2045. The User Information 2 field may indicate the EHT TB PPDU format, and the User Information 3 field may exist after the User Information 2 field.
[0417] That is, when responding based on the User Information 3 field, the EHT TB PPDU is indicated based on the User Information 2 field, and the HE TB PPDU can be indicated based on the AID12 subfield set to 0 or 2045 contained in the User Information 3 field. In this case, according to an embodiment, the HE TB PPDU can be used for response. This is because the HE STA can recognize the User Information 3 field and the RA-RU indicated by the User Information 3 field, but cannot recognize the PPDU format indicated by the User Information 2 field. Therefore, it can be expected that the HE STA responds by the HE TB PPDU based on the User Information 3 field.
[0418] That is, when the AID12 subfield responds to the UORA based on the user information field being 0 or 2045, it can be sent by the HE TB PPDU even with other TBPPDU format indication methods.
[0419] In another embodiment, the user information field including 0 or 2045 in the AID12 subfield may be present at a position indicating the HETB PPDU. For example, it may be present before the user information field, or before the user information field indicating the EHT TB PPDU and the user information field indicating the NEXT TB PPDU. Or, when using Fig.25 When the method of including the intermediate padding field described in , the user information field including 0 or 2045 in the AID12 subfield can exist before the intermediate padding field.
[0420] According to an embodiment, regardless of which standard the trigger frame is or which TB PPDU the trigger frame indicates to respond with, the AID12 subfield may be set to 0 or 2045. In addition, regardless of which standard the trigger frame is or which TB PPDU the trigger frame indicates to respond with, the AID12 subfield may be set to indicate RA-RU and indicate a value responded by EHT TB PPDU. In addition, regardless of which standard the trigger frame is or which TB PPDU the trigger frame indicates to respond with, the AID12 subfield may be set to indicate RA-RU and indicate a value responded by NEXT TB PPDU.
[0421] In another embodiment, the AID12 subfield set to 0 or 2045 may be included only in the case of a trigger frame indicating an HE TB PPDU (e.g., an HE trigger frame, a trigger frame for an HE variant, a trigger frame indicating a response by an HE TB PPDU, or a trigger frame whose format identifier indicates HE).
[0422] Therefore, in the case of a trigger frame indicating an EHT TB PPDU or a NEXT TB PPDU (e.g., an EHT (or NEXT) trigger frame, a trigger frame for an EHT (or NEXT) variant, a trigger frame indicating a response to an EHT (or NEXT) TB PPDU, or a trigger frame whose format identifier indicates EHT (or NEXT)), the AID12 subfield set to 0 or 2045 may not be included.
[0423] Only in the case of a trigger frame indicating the transmission of an EHT TB PPDU (or NEXT TB PPDU) (e.g., an EHT trigger frame (or NEXT trigger frame), a trigger frame for an EHT variant (or NEXT variant), a trigger frame indicating a response by an EHT TB PPDU (or NEXT TB PPDU), or a trigger frame whose format identifier indicates EHT (or NEXT)), the AID12 subfield set to a value indicating RA-RU and indicating a response by an EHT TB PPDU (or NEXT TB PPDU) may be included.
[0424] That is, in the case of a trigger frame indicating the transmission of an HE TB PPDU or a NEXT TB PPDU (e.g., an HE (or NEXT) trigger frame, a trigger frame for an HE (or NEXT) variant, a trigger frame indicating a HE (or NEXT) TB PPDU response, or a trigger frame whose format identifier indicates HE (or NEXT)), the AID12 subfield set to a value indicating RA-RU and indicating a EHT TB PPDU response may not be included.
[0425] In the case of a trigger frame indicating the transmission of an HE TB PPDU (or EHT TB PPDU) (e.g., an HE (or EHT) trigger frame, a trigger frame for an HE (or EHT) variant, a trigger frame indicating a HE (or EHT) TB PPDU response, or a trigger frame whose format identifier indicates HE (or EHT)), the AID12 subfield set to a value indicating RA-RU and indicating a NEXT TB PPDU response may not be included.
[0426] For example, there may be simultaneous use Fig.25 The embodiments described in Figures 15 to 18 In this case, when the common information field indicates EHT TB PPDU or NEXT TB PPDU (or when the trigger frame is an EHT variant or NEXT variant), the AID12 subfield may not include a user information field of 0 or 2045. Alternatively, when the trigger frame indicates EHT TB PPDU or NEXT TB PPDU (or when the trigger frame is an EHT variant or NEXT variant), the AID12 subfield may not include a user information field of 0 or 2045.
[0427] According to another embodiment, when the trigger frame or the common information field indicates EHT TB PPDU or NEXT TB PPDU (or when the trigger frame is an EHT variant or a NEXT variant), the AID12 subfield includes a user information field of 0 or 2045, and based on this, when responding to the UORA, HE TB PPDU can be used instead of EHT TB PPDU and NEXT TB PPDU for response.
[0428] In addition, when the trigger frame or the common information field indicates a NEXT TB PPDU (or a NEXT variant), the AID12 subfield may not include a user information field set to 0, 2045, or X. In another embodiment, the trigger frame or the common information field indicates a NEXT TB PPDU (or a NEXT variant), the AID12 subfield includes a user information field set to 0, 2045, or X. Based on this, when responding to the UORA, the TB PPDU format indicated by 0, 2045, or X can be used instead of the NEXT TB PPDU for response.
[0429] In addition, when responding to the user information field indicating RA-RU and indicating EHT TB PPDU, if the EHT TB PPDU is different from the PPDU format indicated by other PPDU format determination methods, the response can be made by a pre-set method. According to one embodiment, based on indicating RA-RU regardless of other PPDU format determination methods and indicating the user information field of EHT TB PPDU, the EHT TB PPDU can be responded. According to another embodiment, when responding based on indicating RA-RU and indicating the user information field of EHT TB PPDU, the response can be made based on other PPDU format determination methods.
[0430] Alternatively, the user information field indicating RA-RU and indicating EHT TB PPDU may constitute a trigger frame according to other PPDU format determination methods so as to be determined as EHT TB PPDU. Fig.25 , indicating RA-RU and indicating that the user information field in which the AID12 subfield responded by the EHT TB PPDU is set to X exists after the user information 2 indicated by the EHT TB PPDU response and before the user information 6 indicated by the NEXT TB PPDU response.
[0431] When responding to the user information field indicating RA-RU and indicating NEXT TB PPDU, the same method as the case of responding to the user information field indicating RA-RU and indicating EHT TB PPDU can be applied.
[0432] Fig. 27 FIG. 4 is another example of indicating a trigger frame format and RA-RU according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0433] Fig. 27 The described embodiments may be Fig.25 Additional descriptions and embodiments of the described problems and solutions, and the same contents as above are omitted. In the following, the value of the AID12 subfield indicating RA-RU may include 0 and 2045.
[0434] Fig.24 The middle padding field described in the description may be included in the middle of the user information list field, which may mean that the middle padding field may be included at the front of the user information list field. Alternatively, it may mean that the middle padding field may have a different position from the existing padding that exists after the trigger frame, or other user information fields may exist after the middle padding field.
[0435] The middle padding field may be a user information field of the AID12 subfield including a preset value. For example, the length of the middle padding field may be the same as the length of the user information field.
[0436] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the length of the intermediate padding field may be different from the length of the user information field. For example, the length of the intermediate padding field may be shorter than the length of the user information field. In addition, the intermediate padding field may be a field set by a preset value. For example, the length of the intermediate padding field may be the same as the length of the AID12 subfield. That is, the intermediate padding field may be 12 bits. In addition, the intermediate padding field may be set to a preset value, for example, it may be set by 4095 (a value that sets all bits of the 12-bit length to 1).
[0437] When the STA receiving the trigger frame confirms the AID12 subfield value contained in one or more user information fields, it can find the next AID12 subfield based on the length of the user information field. At this time, when the middle padding field is found, the next AID12 subfield can be found based on the length of the middle padding field.
[0438] For example, when the length of the middle padding field is the same as the length of the AID12 subfield, the middle padding field is found, and it can be known that the next AID2 subfield or the next user information field is continuous from the next middle padding field. In this case, the overhead of including the middle padding field in the trigger frame can be reduced, and the above-mentioned TB PPDU format determination problem is solved at the same time.
[0439] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the trigger frame may not include an intermediate padding field. In addition, the trigger frame may include a user information field indicating the RA-RU. Fig. 27 As shown in (a), the trigger frame may include a user information 1 field, a user information 5 field, and a user information 7 field indicating the RA-RU.
[0440] also, Fig. 27 The trigger frame shown in (a) may not include an intermediate padding field. Therefore, even if the PPDU format determination method of the above-mentioned embodiment is used, the HE STA can recognize the user information 1 field, the user information 5 field, and the user information 7 field indicating the RA-RU.
[0441] Therefore, according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, HE TB PPDU can be used when the UORA responds regardless of other PPDU format determination methods. For example, when the trigger frame does not include the middle padding field, HE TB PPDU can be used when the UORA responds regardless of other PPDU format determination methods. Fig. 27(a), the PPDU format may be determined based on the user information field including the AID12 subfield set to a specific value. For example, the EHT TB PPDU response may be indicated based on the user information 2 field, and the NEXT TB PPDU response may be indicated based on the user information 6 field.
[0442] However, the HE STA may also recognize the User Information field indicating the RA-RU included in the trigger frame. Therefore, regardless of the User Information 2 field or the User Information 6 field, the HE TBPPDU may be used in response to the RA-RU indicated by the trigger frame.
[0443] In addition, as described above, even in the case where the TB PPDU format is determined based on the common information field or the format identifier field, the HE TB PPDU can be used in response to the RA-RU. Alternatively, when the trigger frame is included in the EHT PPDU or NEXT PPDU, or when the HE STA is included in the unreadable PPDU, the TB PPDU format is determined based on the common information field or the format identifier field, and the same TB PPDU format determination method can be used in response to the RA-RU.
[0444] According to another embodiment, when the TB PPDU format is determined based on the common information field or the format identifier field, when the EHT or NEXT standard is indicated, the HE STA may not recognize this. In this case, when responding with UORA, the TB PPDU format may be determined based on the common information field or the format identifier field. For example, when the TB PPDU format is determined based on the trigger type subfield, the HE STA may not respond to the trigger frame including the trigger type subfield based on the inability to recognize the trigger type subfield.
[0445] In another embodiment, when the trigger frame does not include the intermediate filling field, the user information field indicating the RA-RU may not be included.
[0446] In another embodiment, when the PPDU format determination method described above indicates that the response is to be made by an unsupported standard TB PPDU, the OBO counter may not be reduced for the RA-RU indicated by the user information field included in these trigger frames. In addition, the RA-RU is not selected as the RU to respond to the UORA. For example, when the trigger frame includes a format identification field and the EHT STA confirms that the common information field or the format identification field indicates the NEXT TB PPDU, the OBO counter is not reduced based on the RA-RU indicated by the user information field included in the trigger frame, and the RU to respond to the UORA may not be selected.
[0447] In the present disclosure, the user information field indicating RA-RU may be a user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to 0 or 2045.
[0448] In the present disclosure, the RU that can reduce the OBO counter is called an eligible RA-RU. In addition, the RU that can be responded to by the UORA can be called an eligible RA-RU. In addition, when selecting the RU to be responded to by the UORA, the selected RU can be called an eligible RA-RU. In addition, the OBO counter can be reduced, and the RU that can be responded to by the UORA is called an eligible RA-RU. Alternatively, the OBO counter can be reduced for the qualified RA-RU or the RU to be responded to the UORA can be selected. In addition, the RA-RU that can be sent can be called an eligible RA-RU. In addition, the meaning of being respondable to or able to be sent by the UORA may include the supported TB PPDU format. For example, the RA-RU responded by the NEXT TB PPDU to the EHT STA may not be a qualified RA-RU.
[0449] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the trigger frame may include an intermediate padding field. Such an embodiment may be Fig.24 The content described in the above description may be omitted, and repeated content may be omitted. As described above, when responding to a RA-RU, the PPDU format may be determined based on the position of the middle padding field of the user information field of the RA-RU indicating the response. Alternatively, it may be determined whether the RA-RU is a qualified RU based on the relative position of the middle padding field of the user information field of the RA-RU indicating the response.
[0450] In an embodiment, when responding to UORA based on the user information field before the middle padding field, HE TB PPDU may be used for response. At this time, when responding to UORA based on the user information field before the middle padding field, HE TB PPDU may be used for response regardless of other TB PPDU format indication methods. Fig. 27 (b), the trigger frame may include an intermediate padding field. In addition, the user information 1 field, the user information 3 field, the user information 5 field, and the user information 7 field included in the trigger frame may indicate RA-RU. In addition, the user information 1 field and the user information 3 field may exist before the intermediate padding field, and the user information 5 field and the user information 7 field may exist after the intermediate padding field.
[0451] When the RA-RU indicated by the User Information 1 field or the User Information 3 field responds to the UORA, the HE TB PPDU can be used for the response. In this case, even if the above-mentioned PPDU format determination method indicates a PPDU other than the HE TB PPDU, the STA can use the HE TB PPDU for the response. For example, even if the PPDU format determination method in the Fig.24 The PPDU format determination method described above and the User Information 2 field existing before the User Information 3 field indicate the EHT TB PPDU, and when the RA-RU indicated by the User Information 3 field responds to the UORA, the HE TB PPDU can be used.
[0452] In another embodiment, the user information field indicating the EHT TB PPDU may exist after the middle padding field. In addition, the user information field indicating the NEXT TB PPDU may exist after the middle padding field.
[0453] In addition, in an embodiment, when responding to UORA based on the user information field that exists after the middle padding field, the response can be based on the other PPDU format determination methods described above. Fig. 27 (b), you can use Fig.24 The PPDU format determination method described in . At this time, when responding to UORA in the RA-RU indicated by the user information 5 field after the middle padding field, the EHT TB PPDU indicated by the user information 2 field can be used to respond. In addition, when responding to UORA in the RA-RU indicated by the user information 7 field after the middle padding field, the STA can respond using the NEXTTB PPDU indicated by the user information 6 field.
[0454] According to an embodiment, a TB PPDU format determination method based on a user information field may be used. In addition, a TB PPDU format determination method based on an intermediate padding field may be used. In addition, there may be a RA-RU indicated to be responded to by the HE TB PPDU format, and such a RA-RU may be referred to as a HE RA-RU.
[0455] There may be a RA-RU indicated to be responded to by the EHT TB PPDU format, and such a RA-RU may be referred to as an EHTRA-RU.
[0456] There may be a RA-RU indicated to be responded to by the NEXT TB PPDU format, and such a RA-RU may be referred to as a NEXT RA-RU.
[0457] Reference Fig. 27(b), the RA-RU indicated by the User Information 1 field may be a HE RA-RU. This may be because the TB PPDU format for the User Information 1 field is not indicated or indicated as a HE TB PPDU. In addition, the RA-RU indicated by the User Information 3 field may be a HE RA-RU. This may be because the User Information 1 field exists before the middle padding field. In addition, the RA-RU indicated by the User Information 1 field may be an EHT RA-RU. This may be because the EHT TB PPDU format for the User Information 1 field is indicated by the User Information 1 field.
[0458] In addition, the RA-RU indicated by the User Information 7 field may be the NEXT RA-RU. This may be because the NEXT TB PPDU format for the User Information 7 field is indicated by the User Information 6 field.
[0459] In another embodiment, the HE RA-RU may be a RA-RU in which the AID12 subfield value is indicated as 0 or 2045. Alternatively, the EHT RA-RU may be a RA-RU in which the AID12 subfield value is indicated as a value indicating the RA-RU and indicating that the EHT TB PPDU is responded to. Alternatively, the NEXT RA-RU may be a RA-RU in which the AID12 subfield value is indicated as a value indicating the RA-RU and indicating that the NEXT TB PPDU is responded to.
[0460] According to the embodiment, the STA may reduce the OBO counter or select RU for all past, present and future standard RA-RUs. At this time, when the future standard RA-RU is selected as the RU to be sent, it may not be sent.
[0461] According to another embodiment, the STA may reduce the OBO counter or select the RU for all past and present standard RA-RUs. In addition, the STA may not reduce the OBO counter for future standard RA-RUs. The STA may not select the RU for future standard RA-RUs.
[0462] According to another embodiment, the STA may reduce the OBO counter or select RU for all current standard RA-RUs. In addition, the STA may not reduce the OBO counter for past and future standard RA-RUs. The STA may not select RU for past and future standard RA-RUs.
[0463] According to another embodiment, the STA may reduce the OBO counter or select RU for all current and future standard RA-RUs. In addition, the STA may not reduce the OBO counter for past standard RA-RUs. The STA may not select RU for past standard RA-RUs.
[0464] In addition, the criteria for reducing the OBO counter and the criteria for selecting the RU can be implemented using different combinations. Examples of these combinations are as follows.
[0465] According to an embodiment, the EHT STA may reduce the OBO counter for HE RA-RU, EHT RA-RU, and NEXT RA-RU. In addition, the EHT STA may select the RU to respond to from among the HE RA-RU, EHT RA-RU, and NEXT RA-RU. At this time, if the EHT STA selects the NEXT RA-RU, no transmission may be performed.
[0466] According to an embodiment, the EHT STA may reduce the OBO counter for the HE RA-RU, the EHT RA-RU, and the NEXT RA-RU. In addition, the EHT STA may select the RU to respond to from the HE RA-RU and the EHT RA-RU.
[0467] According to an embodiment, the EHT STA may reduce the OBO counter for the HE RA-RU and the EHT RA-RU. In addition, the EHT STA may select the RU to respond to from the HE RA-RU, the EHT RA-RU, and the NEXT RA-RU. At this time, if the EHT STA selects the NEXT RA-RU, no transmission may be performed.
[0468] According to an embodiment, the EHT STA may reduce the OBO counter for the HE RA-RU and the EHT RA-RU. In addition, the EHT STA may select the RU to respond to from the HE RA-RU and the EHT RA-RU.
[0469] According to an embodiment, the EHT STA may reduce the OBO counter for the EHT RA-RU. In addition, the EHT STA may not reduce the OBO counter for the HERA-RU and NEXT RA-RU. In addition, the EHT STA may select the RU to respond from the EHT RA-RU. In addition, the EHT STA may not select the RU to respond from the HE RA-RU and NEXT RA-RU.
[0470] According to an embodiment, the EHT STA may reduce the OBO counter for the EHT RA-RU and the NEXT RA-RU. In addition, the EHT STA may select the RU to respond to from the HE RA-RU, the EHT RA-RU, and the NEXT RA-RU. At this time, if the EHT STA selects the NEXT RA-RU, no transmission may be performed.
[0471] According to an embodiment, the EHT STA may reduce the OBO counter for the EHT RA-RU and the NEXT RA-RU. In addition, the EHT STA may select a RU to respond to from the HE RA-RU and the EHT RA-RU.
[0472] According to an embodiment, the EHT STA may reduce the OBO counter for the EHT RA-RU and the NEXT RA-RU. In addition, the EHT STA may select a RU to respond to from the EHT RA-RU.
[0473] In addition, the reduction of the OBO counter and the selection of the RU based on the above-mentioned TB PPDU format can be based on whether other transmission parameters are supported. The transmission parameter can be a value indicated by a common information field or a corresponding user information field. For example, when determining whether the OBO counter can be reduced for a certain standard RA-RU, it can be based on whether other transmission parameters are supported, and it can be reduced when other transmission parameters are supported.
[0474] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a RA-RU may be judged as a qualified RA-RU based on the following conditions: For example, when all of the following conditions are met, the RA-RU may be judged as a qualified RA-RU.
[0475] 1) Support all sending parameters of the public information field.
[0476] 2) Support all transmission parameters of the user information field indicating the RA-RU.
[0477] 3) Supporting the TB PPDU format indicated by the user information field for the user information field indicating the TB PPDU format.
[0478] Condition 3) can be replaced by the following condition.
[0479] 3-1) Support the TB PPDU format indicated for the User Information field.
[0480] In addition, at this time, the TB PPDU format indication method may include the method of the above-mentioned embodiment, such as indication by a trigger frame, indication by a common information field, indication by a user information field, etc.
[0481] Condition 3) can be replaced by the following conditions 3-2 or 3-3.
[0482] 3-2) Support all transmission parameters indicated by other user information fields including information for the user information field.
[0483] 3-3) Supporting all transmission parameters indicated by other user information fields including common information (information applicable to multiple STAs) for the user information field.
[0484] Reference Fig. 27 (b), based on Fig. 27 The trigger frame shown in (b) of the EHT STA can judge the qualified RA-RU. At this time, the RA-RU indicated by the user information 1 field, the user information 3 field and the user information 5 field can be judged as a qualified RA-RU. This may be because the EHT STA can send HE TB PPDU and EHT TB PPDU. In addition, the RA-RU indicated by the user information 7 field may not be judged as a qualified RA-RU. When the user information 6 field responds to the RU indicated by the user information 7 field, the NEXT TB PPDU may be sent because the EHT STA cannot send the NEXT TB PPDU.
[0485] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the user information field may include the number or length of the special user information fields that follow. For example, the user information field indicating the TB PPDU format may include the number or length of the user information fields corresponding to the indicated TB PPDU format. For example, when indicating an unsupported TB PPDU format, other user information fields may be retrieved based on the number or length contained in the user information field. This is because a response to a trigger frame cannot be indicated with an unsupported TB PPDU format.
[0486] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, there may be a pre-set value for notifying the start of a padding field. The pre-set value may be a value other than 4095. Alternatively, the pre-set value may be a value different from a value indicating an intermediate padding field. This is because, for example, there may be a situation where it is necessary to indicate that it is a padding field rather than an intermediate padding field. Alternatively, the pre-set value may be a value between 2008 and 2044 or a value between 2047 and 4094. In addition, the pre-set value may be a value other than 1 to 2007, a value other than 0, a value other than 2045, a value other than 2046, and a value other than 4095.
[0487] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, there may be a determination method based on the UL length field included in the trigger frame. For example, there may be a determination method based on the value of the UL length field value mod operation. For example, there may be a determination method based on the value of the UL length field value mod 3 operation. There may be a determination method based on whether the value of the UL length field value mod3 operation is 0. In addition, the determination method may indicate the PPDU format. Alternatively, the determination method may indicate the presence (inclusion) or not of a special field. Alternatively, the determination method may indicate a method for interpreting a special field. Alternatively, the determination method may indicate the meaning of the value displayed by the special field. Alternatively, the determination method may indicate the length of the special field.
[0488] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the A-MPDU may include multiple trigger frames. According to one embodiment, the contents of the multiple trigger frames may be different. In addition, the A-MPDU or the PPDU including the A-MPDU may include signaling indicating whether the contents of the multiple trigger frames are different.
[0489] In addition, the STA may determine whether the contents of multiple trigger frames are different based on the type of PPDU including the A-MPDU. For example, the contents of the trigger frames of multiple trigger frames included in the EHT PPDU or NEXT PPDU may be different. In addition, this may be a case where an associated PPDU (aggregated PPDU, A-PPDU) is supported. A-PPDU may be a frequency division multiplexing of multiple PPDUs. In addition, multiple PPDUs may be PPDUs of different standards.
[0490] Fig.28 is another example showing a method for indicating a TB PPDU format according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[0491] As described above, a method may be needed to indicate the PPDU format to be responded to in response to a trigger frame. For example, the PPDU format may indicate a TB PPDU format. Fig.28 The embodiment may be a specific embodiment of the above-mentioned TB PPDU format indication method. In addition, the above-mentioned content may be omitted in this embodiment.
[0492] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the format of the PPDU in response to the trigger frame can be determined based on the user information field included in the trigger frame. Alternatively, the format of the PPDU in response to the trigger frame can be indicated by the user information field included in the trigger frame. In the present invention, the user information field that determines and indicates the format of the PPDU can be referred to as a special user information field.
[0493] According to an embodiment, the special user information field may be a user information field in which the AID12 subfield included in the special user information field is set to a preset value. For example, the preset value may be 2007. In addition, the preset value may be a value that the AP has not allocated as an association ID (AID).
[0494] In addition, the special user information field may be different in format from other user information fields. That is, the special user information field may be different from the fields included in other user information fields. In addition, the special user information field and other user information fields may jointly include the AID12 subfield at the same position. For example, the first 12 bits of the special user information field and the user information field that is not the special user information field may be the AID12 subfield. For example, B0 to B11 of the special user information field and the user information field that is not the special user information field may be the AID12 subfield.
[0495] In addition, the trigger frame may include a subfield indicating whether the special user information field is included. The subfield indicating whether the special user information field is included may be referred to as a special user information field present (Present) subfield. For example, the special user information field Present subfield may be present in the common information field. For example, bit B55 of the common information field may be a special user information field Present subfield. If the special user information field Present subfield is set to 1, the trigger frame may not include the special user information field.
[0496] In addition, the trigger frame may include the special user information field if the special user information field Present subfield is set to 0. This may be because B55 of the common information field is set to a preset value of 1 in the 802.11ax standard.
[0497] Since the STA receiving the trigger frame can determine whether the special user information field is included based on the special user information field Present subfield, the embodiment of determining whether the special user information field is included can be easy compared to the case where the special user information field Present subfield does not exist. In addition, when the STA that is not associated with the AP that sends the trigger frame receives the trigger frame, the AID12 subfield can determine whether the user information field set to a preset value indicating the special user information field is a special user information field (whether the 12LSBs of the actual AID are displayed) based on the special user information field Present subfield. For example, when an RA-RU for an unassociated STA is indicated, the AP that sends the trigger frame and the STA that is not associated with the trigger frame receive the trigger frame, and the operation can be performed based on the trigger frame. In addition, the STA can perform spatial reuse operations based on a trigger frame or TBPPDU from a BSS that has never been associated.
[0498] Furthermore, when the trigger frame includes a special user information field, the special user information field may be located at the front of the user information field. Alternatively, the special user information field may be located next to the common information field. This may be to facilitate the STA receiving the trigger frame to parse the special user information field.
[0499] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the format of the PPDU in response to the trigger frame may be determined based on whether the trigger frame includes a special user information field. For example, when the trigger frame includes a special user information field, the format of the PPDU in response to the trigger frame may be an EHT TB PPDU. In addition, when the trigger frame does not include a special user information field, the format of the PPDU in response to the trigger frame may be an HE TB PPDU. In addition, as described above, there may be a special user information field Present subfield, which is a signaling indicating whether the trigger frame includes a special user information field. Therefore, it can be considered that the format of the PPDU in response to the trigger frame is determined based on the special user information field Present subfield. For example, when the special user information field Present subfield is set to 0, the format of the PPDU in response to the trigger frame may be an EHT TB PPDU. In addition, when the special user information field Present subfield is set to 1, the format of the PPDU in response to the trigger frame may be an HE TB PPDU.
[0500] In addition, when the trigger frame includes a special user information field, the user information field included in the trigger frame may be an EHT variant user information field. In addition, when the trigger frame does not include a special user information field, the trigger frame may not include an EHT variant user information field. When the trigger frame does not include a special user information field, the trigger frame may include only an HE variant user information field.
[0501] The RU indication method may be different when the user information field is an EHT variant and when it is an HE variant. For example, the interpretation method may be different depending on whether the RU allocation subfield included in the user information field is an EHT variant or an HE variant. For example, the RU allocation subfield included in the EHT variant user information field may be encoded to indicate the RU supported by the EHT standard. In addition, the RU allocation (Allocation) subfield included in the HE variant user information field may be encoded to indicate the RU supported by the HE standard.
[0502] In addition, when interpreting the RU indicated based on the EHT variant user information field, it can be based on two or more subfields. The two or more subfields may include the RU allocation subfield and the PS160 subfield. Fig.12As shown, the RU allocation subfield can be located next to the AID12 subfield. In addition, the RU allocation subfield can be 8 bits. The PS160 subfield can indicate in which subchannel the RU indicated by the RU allocation subfield exists. Alternatively, the PS160 subfield can indicate in which subchannel the RU indicated by the user information field exists. In this case, the unit indicating which subchannel can be a 160MHz subchannel. The PS160 subfield can indicate whether the indicated RU exists in the primary 160MHz channel or the secondary 160MHz channel. The PS160 subfield can exist on the previous trigger-dependent user information field. The PS160 subfield can be the B39 bit of the user information field. The PS160 subfield can be 1 bit.
[0503] In addition, when interpreting the RU indicated by the HE variant user information field, it can be based on one subfield. One subfield can be an RU allocation subfield. That is, only based on the RU allocation subfield included in the HE variant user information field, the position of the RU indicated by the HE variant user information field can be determined.
[0504] Reference Fig.28 , the trigger frame may include a special user information field. Whether the user information field is a special user information field may be determined based on the AID12 subfield included in the user information field. For example, when the AID12 subfield included in the user information field is a preset value, the user information field may be a special user information field. Fig. 27 , the preset value may be 2007. In addition, refer to Fig.28 , the special user information field may be present next to the common information field and at the front of the user information field. In addition, there may be a special user information field Present subfield, which is a signal indicating whether the trigger frame includes a special user information field. Fig. 27 , the special user information field Present subfield can be included in the common information field. If the special user information field Present subfield is set to 0, the trigger frame can include the special user information field. Fig. 27 As shown, when the trigger frame includes the special user information field, the response PPDU format thereto may be an EHT TB PPDU.
[0505] In addition, according to an additional embodiment, the format of the PPDU in response to the trigger frame may be determined based on whether the trigger frame includes a special user information field and a subfield indicating the TB PPDU format. In the present invention, the subfield indicating the TB PPDU format may be referred to as a HE / EHT P160 subfield. According to a more specific embodiment, the HE / EHT P160 subfield may indicate the TB PPDU format for a pre-set channel. For example, the HE / EHT P160 subfield may indicate the TB PPDU format for the primary 160 MHz channel (P160 channel). For example, when the HE / EHT P160 subfield value is 1, it may indicate that the HETB PPDU is responded to. In addition, when the HE / EHT P160 subfield value is 0, it may indicate that the EHT TB PPDU is responded to. The HE / EHT P160 subfield may be 1 bit.
[0506] Reference Fig.28 , the HE / EHT P160 subfield may be included in the common information field. More specifically, the HE / EHT P160 subfield may be included in the bit B55 position of the common information field.
[0507] Therefore, when the TB PPDU format is indicated and determined based on the special user information field and the HE / EHT P160 subfield, the following operations may be performed. When the HE / EHT P160 subfield indicates the EHT TB PPDU, the EHT TB PPDU may be responded to in response to the trigger frame. That is, when the HE / EHT P160 subfield indicates the EHT TB PPDU, the EHT TB PPDU may be responded to in response to the trigger frame regardless of the allocated RU position. In addition, when the HE / EHT P160 subfield indicates the EHT TB PPDU, the special user information field may be always included. That is, the special user information field Present subfield may also indicate that the special user information field is included.
[0508] If the HE / EHT P160 subfield indicates an HE TB PPDU, the TB PPDU format is indicated and determined based on the RU position allocated when responding to the trigger frame. When the HE / EHT P160 subfield indicates an HE TB PPDU, if the pre-set channel (e.g., P160 channel) indicated in the HE / EHT P160 subfield includes an allocated RU, it can be responded by the HE TB PPDU. In addition, when the HE / EHT P160 subfield indicates an HE TB PPDU, if the pre-set channel (e.g., P160 channel) indicated in the HE / EHT P160 subfield does not include an allocated RU (e.g., a secondary 160 MHz channel (S160 channel)), it can be responded by the EHT TB PPDU. In addition, whether the pre-set channel includes an allocated RU can be based on the RUAllocation subfield and the PS160 subfield. More specifically, when the pre-set channel is a P160 channel, whether the pre-set channel includes an allocated RU can be based on the PS160 subfield.
[0509] In addition, the TB PPDU format is indicated and determined based on the HE / EHT P160 subfield and the allocated RU position, and can be defined by the case where the trigger frame includes a special user information field. When the trigger frame includes a special user information field, the trigger frame may include the HE / EHT P160 subfield and the PS160 subfield. If the trigger frame does not include the special user information field, the HE TB PPDU can always be used to respond to the trigger frame. In addition, as described above, whether the special user information field is included can be based on the special user information field Present subfield. Therefore, the record that the trigger frame includes or does not include the special user information field can respectively indicate the case where the special user information field Present subfield is set to include or not include the special user information field.
[0510] In the present disclosure, the description of indicating and judging the use of EHT TB PPDU in response to a trigger frame can be replaced by the invention of indicating and judging the use of EHT TB PPDU or NEXT TB PPDU. In addition, it can be determined which one to use in EHT TB PPDU or NEXT TB PPDU based on the format identifier subfield. That is, the TBPPDU format indicated by the format identifier subfield can be used. For example, when the format identifier subfield indicates EHT, the EHT TB PPDU can be used.
[0511] The special user information field may include the AID12 subfield and information required in response to a trigger frame. The information required in response to a trigger frame may include information included in the preamble of the PPDU in response to the trigger frame. For example, the information required in response to the trigger frame may include information included in the U-SIG field of the PPDU in response to the trigger frame. Fig.28 Examples of information included in the U-SIG field may include: Fig.28 , the special user information field may include AID12, PHY version ID, UL bandwidth extension, spatial reuse 1, spatial reuse 2, U-SIG disregard and verification, reservation and trigger related user information fields.
[0512] The above fields can be positioned in the above order, and each field can have 12, 3, 2, 4, 4, 12, 3, or a variable number of bits, respectively. The PHY version ID field can be the above-mentioned format identifier subfield, the PHY version identifier subfield, or the PHY version field. The STA that responds to the trigger frame can be set based on the special user information field of the U-SIG field included in the PPDU of the response included in the trigger frame. For example, the subfield value included in the special user information field can be copied to the subfield including the response U-SIG field. The subfields copied to the subfield included in the U-SIG field can be PHY version ID, spatial reuse 1, spatial reuse 2, and U-SIG ignore and verify subfields.
[0513] Alternatively, the subfield included in the U-SIG field of the responded PPDU may be set based on the subfield value included in the special user information field. The subfield of the U-SIG field set based on the subfield included in the special user information field may be a UL bandwidth extension subfield. For example, based on the UL bandwidth extension subfield included in the special user information field and the UL BW subfield included in the common information field (refer to Fig.12 ), the bandwidth (BW) subfield contained in the U-SIG field of the responded PPDU can be set.
[0514] In addition, the presence and length of the trigger-related user information field contained in the special user information field may be based on the type of the trigger frame. That is, the presence and length of the trigger-related user information field contained in the special user information field may be based on which variant the trigger frame is. The type of the trigger frame may be determined by the trigger type subfield contained in the common information field (see Fig.12 ) is indicated and determined.
[0515] As described above, even in the case of indicating a PPDU format for a response based on the special user information field, if the RA-RU is indicated as the AID12 subfield value 0 or 2045, the special user information field is included in the trigger frame indication to respond by the EHT TBPPDU, even so, the HE STA may not be able to recognize the special user information field and respond by the HE TBPPDU. A method for solving this problem is described below, which may be a more specific embodiment of the above content.
[0516] Fig.29 An example of a method for indicating an uplink orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA)-based random access: UORA) operation and a TB PPDU format according to an embodiment of the present invention is shown.
[0517] Fig.29 The described embodiments may be Figure 24 to Figure 27 The described embodiments are more specific embodiments. Fig.29 The described embodiments may be used with Fig.28 The above contents may be omitted.
[0518] According to an embodiment of the present invention, when the value of the AID12 subfield indicating the RA-RU is 0 or 2045, it may indicate that a response is made with the HE TB PPDU when sending to the RA-RU. In addition, according to an embodiment of the present invention, there may be an AID12 subfield value other than 0 or 2045 indicating the RA-RU. The AID12 subfield value other than 0 or 2045 indicating the RA-RU indicates that a response is made by the above-mentioned EHT TB PPDU or NEXT TB PPDU and may be an AID12 subfield value indicating the RA-RU. The AID12 subfield value other than 0 or 2045 indicating the RA-RU may be set by the user information field included in the trigger frame including the special user information field. That is, the AID12 subfield value other than 0 or 2045 indicating the RA-RU may be used together with the TB PPDU format indication method based on the special user information field.
[0519] The AID12 subfield value other than 0 or 2045 indicating the RA-RU may be one of the values 2008 to 2044 or 2047 to 4094. For example, the AID12 subfield value other than 0 or 2045 indicating the RA-RU may be 2047. The AID12 subfield value other than 0 or 2045 indicating the RA-RU may exist with different values for the associated STA and the unassociated STA. For example, the AID12 subfield value other than 0 or 2045 indicating the RA-RU that can be transmitted by the associated STA may be 2047. For example, the AID12 subfield value other than 0 or 2045 indicating the RA-RU that can be transmitted by the unassociated STA may be 2048.
[0520] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, when the value of the AID12 subfield is 0 or 2045, the user information field including the AID12 subfield may be HE variant user information.
[0521] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, when the AID12 subfield value is an AID12 subfield value other than 0 or 2045 indicating RA-RU, the user information field including the AID12 subfield may be EHT variant user information.
[0522] In addition, the STA (eg, AP) that transmits the trigger frame may set and generate the trigger frame as follows.
[0523] according to Fig.28 According to the method described in the above, for a channel indicated by an EHT TB PPDU response, the trigger frame may not include a user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to 0 or 2045. For an S160 channel, the user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to 0 or 2045 may not be included. That is, the user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to 0 or 2045 may not indicate an RU included in the S160 channel. In addition, when the HE / EHT P160 subfield indicates EHT, the user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to 0 or 2045 may not be included. More specifically, when the HE / EHT P160 subfield indicates EHT, the user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to 0 or 2045 may not be included for the RU of the P160 channel.
[0524] When RA-RU is indicated for a channel indicating a response by an EHT TB PPDU, a user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to an AID12 subfield value other than 0 or 2045 indicating the RA-RU may be included. That is, when RA-RU is indicated for an S160 channel, a user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to an AID12 subfield value other than 0 or 2045 indicating the RA-RU may be included. In addition, when RA-RU is indicated for a P160 channel, a HE / EHT P160 subfield is indicated by an EHT, a user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to an AID12 subfield value other than 0 or 2045 indicating the RA-RU may be included. In addition, a user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to an AID12 subfield value other than 0 or 2045 indicating the RA-RU may be included in a trigger frame including a special user information field.
[0525] For according to Fig.28 The method described in the above description indicates a channel to be responded by the HE TB PPDU, and the trigger frame may not include a user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to an AID12 subfield value other than 0 or 2045 indicating RA-RU. That is, when the HE / EHT P160 subfield indicates HE, the user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to an AID12 subfield value other than 0 or 2045 indicating RA-RU may not be included for the P160 channel.
[0526] In addition, a user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to a value other than 0 or 2045 indicating RA-RU cannot be included in a trigger frame that does not include a special user information field. When RA-RU is indicated for a channel indicating that a response is made by an HE TB PPDU, a user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to a value of 0 or 2045 may be included. When the HE / EHT P160 subfield indicates HE, a user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to a value of 0 or 2045 may be included for a P160 channel.
[0527] In addition, the STA that triggers the frame response may perform the following operations.
[0528] For a trigger frame, the STA that responds to the RA-RU can Fig. 27The TB PPDU format is determined by the method described in the above description. That is, the STA responding to the RA-RU indicated by the trigger frame can determine the TB PPDU format based on the special user information field, the HE / EHT P160 subfield, and the PS160 subfield. In addition, when the STA responds to the user information field with the AID12 subfield set to 0 or 2045, the HE TB PPDU can be used. When the STA responds to the user information field with the AID12 subfield set to a value other than 0 or 2045 indicating the RA-RU, the EHT TB PPDU can be used.
[0529] More specifically, in the case where the trigger frame includes a special user information field in which the PHY version ID field indicates EHT, when the STA responds to the user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to an AID12 subfield value other than 0 or 2045 indicating RA-RU, the EHT TB PPDU may be used. More specifically, in the case where the trigger frame includes a special user information field in which the PHY version ID field indicates a standard (value) other than EHT, when the STA responds to the user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to an AID12 subfield value other than 0 or 2045 indicating RA-RU, the EHT TB PPDU may not be used. Alternatively, in the case where the trigger frame includes a special user information field in which the PHY version ID field indicates EHT, the STA reduces the OBO counter or selects the RA-RU to be sent for the user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to an AID12 subfield value other than 0 or 2045 indicating RA-RU. In addition, in the case where the trigger frame includes a special user information field whose PHY version ID field indicates a standard (value) other than EHT, the STA does not reduce the OBO counter for the user information field whose AID12 subfield is set to a value other than 0 or 2045 indicating RA-RU, and does not select it as the RA-RU to be transmitted. Alternatively, in the case where the trigger frame does not include a special user information field whose PHY version ID field indicates EHT, the STA may not use the EHT TB PPDU when responding to the user information field whose AID12 subfield is set to a value other than 0 or 2045 indicating RA-RU. Alternatively, in the case where the trigger frame does not include a special user information field whose PHY version ID field indicates EHT, the STA does not reduce the OBO counter for the user information field whose AID12 subfield is set to a value other than 0 or 2045 indicating RA-RU, and does not select it as the RA-RU to be transmitted.
[0530] According to an embodiment, an OBO counter may be maintained for the STA that triggers the frame response. The STA may use the same OBO counter for 1) the RA-RU indicated by the AID12 subfield value 0 or 2045 and 2) the RA-RU indicated by the AID12 subfield value other than 0 or 2045 indicating the RA-RU. In addition, when the OBO counter becomes 0 or the OBO counter is less than or equal to the number of qualified RA-RUs, the STA may select the RU to be used for UORA transmission from among 1) the RA-RU indicated by the AID12 subfield value 0 or 2045 and 2) the RA-RU indicated by the AID12 subfield value other than 0 or 2045 indicating the RA-RU.
[0531] In addition, according to Fig. 27 The method described in the above etc. selects a TB PPDU format corresponding to the selected RU. Alternatively, the TB PPDU format corresponding to the selected RU may be determined based on the AID12 subfield value included in the user information field indicating the selected RU. When the selected RU is indicated by the AID12 subfield value of 0 or 2045, the HE TB PPDU format may be used for response. When the selected RU is indicated by the AID12 subfield value other than 0 or 2045 indicating the RA-RU, the EHT TB PPDU format may be used for response.
[0532] According to another embodiment, for the EHT STA that triggers the frame response, the OBO counter may be used for the RA-RU indicated by the AID12 subfield value other than 0 or 2045 indicating the RA-RU. The OBO counter may not be used for the RA-RU indicated by the AID12 subfield value 0 or 2045. In addition, when the OBO counter becomes 0 or the OBO counter is less than or equal to the number of qualified RA-RUs, the STA may select the RU for UORA transmission among the RA-RUs indicated by the AID12 subfield value other than 0 or 2045 indicating the RA-RU. Among the RA-RUs indicated by the AID12 subfield value 0 or 2045, the RU for UORA transmission may not be selected.
[0533] According to another embodiment, multiple OBO counters may be maintained for the STA that triggers the frame response. In addition, each of the multiple OBO counters may correspond to each standard TB PPDU. For example, two OBO counters may be maintained. The two OBO counters may correspond to 1) a RA-RU indicated by an AID12 subfield value of 0 or 2045, and 2) a RA-RU indicated by an AID12 subfield value other than 0 or 2045 indicating the RA-RU. Each OBO counter is reduced for each RA-RU, and when the OBO counter becomes 0 or the OBO counter is less than or equal to the number of RA-RUs indicated, the RU to be sent may be selected from the RA-RUs corresponding to the OBO counters. If the OBO counters of multiple OBO counters are 0 for the same trigger frame or the OBO counters are less than or equal to the number of RA-RUs indicated, the RU to be transmitted is selected from the RA-RUs corresponding to the multiple OBO counters.
[0534] In the above embodiment, the situation recorded as the OBO counter becoming 0 may include the situation where the OBO counter is less than or equal to the number of qualified RA-RUs even if the actual OBO counter is not reduced. In addition, the OBO counter is reset when the UORA operation is started or after the PPDU is sent through the UORA operation. At this time, the OBO counter can be arbitrarily selected from integers greater than 0 within the set range and thus reset. The setting range can be determined based on the UORA parameter setting element (UORAParameter Set element). The setting range can be an orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) contention window (OCW) range. Alternatively, the setting range can be an OCW.
[0535] The user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set by an AID12 subfield value other than 0 or 2045 indicating RA-RU may exist after the user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to 1 to 2007.
[0536] Reference Fig.29 , the trigger frame may include a special user information field. The special user information field may be a user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to 2007 as a preset value. The special user information field may be present at the front of the user information field.
[0537] Whether the special user information field is included in the trigger frame can be indicated by the special user information field Present subfield included in the common information field. If the value of the special user information field Present subfield is 0, it can indicate that the trigger frame contains the special user information field.
[0538] If the value of the Present subfield of the special user information field is 1, it may indicate that the trigger frame does not include the special user information field. The STA responding to the trigger frame including the special user information field may respond using the EHT TB PPDU. In addition, the trigger frame may indicate the RA-RU. If the trigger frame indicates the RA-RU responded by the EHT TB PPDU, the AID12 subfield of the user information field (User Information 3) indicating the RA-RU may be set to a preset value. The preset value may be a value other than 0 and 2045. The user information field including the preset value indicates the RA-RU, and when responding to the RA-RU, the preset value may indicate the use of the EHT TB PPDU.
[0539] When responding at RA-RU, the STA can determine the TB PPDU format based on the AID12 subfield value indicating the selected RA-RU. When responding at RA-RU, if the AID12 subfield value indicating the selected RA-RU is 0 or 2045, the STA can respond using the HE TB PPDU format. When responding at RA-RU, if the AID12 subfield value indicating the selected RA-RU is not 0 and not 2045, the STA can respond using the EHT TB PPDU format. In addition, in order to determine whether to respond using the EHT TB PPDU format, it can be based on the PHY version ID field included in the special user information field. For example, when the PHY version ID field indicates EHT, the EHT TB PPDU format can be used to respond from the RA-RU. If the PHY version ID field indicates other values other than EHT, the EHT TB PPDU format cannot be used to respond from the RA-RU.
[0540] Fig.30 Another example of a method for indicating an uplink orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA)-based random access: UORA) operation and a TB PPDU format according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is shown.
[0541] Fig.30 The described embodiments may be Figures 24 to 27More specific embodiments of the described embodiments. Fig.30 The described embodiments may be used with Fig.28 The above contents may be omitted.
[0542] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the trigger frame may include a user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to a preset value. The preset value may be 4095. In addition, the user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to a preset value may be the above-mentioned intermediate padding field. In addition, the AID12 subfield may be a 12-bit field present at the front of the intermediate padding field. That is, bits B0 to B11 of the intermediate padding field may represent the AID12 subfield.
[0543] The middle padding field may have the same length as the other user information field included in the trigger frame. Alternatively, except when the trigger frame is a MU-BAR trigger frame, the middle padding field may have the same length as the other user information field included in the trigger frame. Alternatively, the middle padding field may have the same length as the special user information field included in the trigger frame. Alternatively, except when the trigger frame is a MU-BAR trigger frame, the middle padding field may not have a trigger-related user information field included in the middle padding field.
[0544] Alternatively, except for the case where the trigger frame is a MU-BAR trigger frame, the intermediate padding field may be 40 bits. Trigger frames that are not MU-BAR trigger frames may include basic trigger frames, beamforming report poll (BeamformingReport Poll, BFRP) trigger frames, MU-RTS trigger frames, buffer status report poll (Buffer Status ReportPoll, BSRP) trigger frames, GCR MU-BAR trigger frames, bandwidth query report poll (Bandwidth Query ReportPoll, BQRP) trigger frames, and NDP feedback report poll (NDP Feedback Report Poll, NFRP) trigger frames. The trigger type subfield value contained in the trigger frame is 0 to 7, which can be a basic (Basic) trigger frame, a beamforming report poll (Beamforming Report Poll, BFRP) trigger frame, a MU-BAR trigger frame, a MU-RTS trigger frame, a buffer status report poll (Buffer Status Report Poll, BSRP) trigger frame, a GCR MU-BAR trigger frame, a bandwidth query report poll (Bandwidth Query Report Poll, BQRP) trigger frame and an NDP feedback report poll (NDP Feedback ReportPoll, NFRP) trigger frame.
[0545] Therefore, the middle padding field included in the GCR MU-BAR trigger frame may be 40 bits without including the trigger-dependent user information field. In addition, the middle padding field may have the same length as the special user information field. The special user information field included in the GCR MU-BAR trigger frame may be 40 bits without including the trigger-dependent user information field.
[0546] In addition, the special user information field included in the basic trigger frame or the BFRP trigger frame may have a length of 1-octet. In addition, the special user information field included in the basic trigger frame or the BFRP trigger frame may retain all subfields. If the subfield is retained, all bits may be set to 0.
[0547] In addition, the Trigger Dependent User Information field included in the Special User Information field of the MU-BAR trigger frame may be 4-octet. In addition, the BAR Type subfield included in the Trigger Dependent User Information field may indicate a Compressed Block AckReq, and the remaining subfields may be reserved.
[0548] Alternatively, the Trigger Dependent User Information field included in the Special User Information field of the MU-BAR trigger frame may be 6-octet. In addition, the BAR Type subfield included in the Trigger Dependent User Information field may indicate Multi-TID BlockAckReq, and the BAR Control subfield included in the Trigger Dependent User Information field may indicate the number of TIDs 1. The number of TIDs may be indicated by the TID_INFO subfield. Subfields other than the BAR Type subfield and the TID_INFO subfield included in the Trigger Dependent User Information field may be reserved.
[0549] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the STA may perform different operations based on whether the user information field indicating the RA-RU contained in the received trigger frame is located before or after the middle padding field.
[0550] For example, when the user information field indicating the RA-RU contained in the received trigger frame is located before the middle padding field, the STA can respond to the RA-RU using the HE TB PPDU format. Alternatively, for example, when the user information field indicating the RA-RU contained in the received trigger frame exists before the middle padding field, the user information field can be a HE variant user information field.
[0551] In addition, when the user information field indicating the RA-RU contained in the received trigger frame exists after the middle padding field, the STA can respond to the RA-RU using the EHT TB PPDU format. Alternatively, for example, when the user information field indicating the RA-RU contained in the received trigger frame exists after the middle padding field, the user information field can be an EHT variant user information field.
[0552] According to another embodiment, when the user information field indicating the RA-RU contained in the received trigger frame exists before the middle padding field, the STA may respond using the HE TB PPDU format when responding to the RA-RU. Alternatively, for example, when the user information field indicating the RA-RU contained in the received trigger frame exists before the middle padding field, the user information field may be an HE variant user information field. In addition, when the user information field indicating the RA-RU contained in the received trigger frame exists after the middle padding field, the STA may respond using the HE variant user information field when responding to the RA-RU. Fig. 27 The TB PPDU format is determined by the method described in the method.
[0553] Or, for example, when the user information field indicating the RA-RU contained in the received trigger frame is present after the intermediate padding field, the STA Fig. 27 The method described in determines whether the user information field is a HE variant user information field or an EHT variant user information field. Fig. 27 The method described in may mean a method based on the presence or absence of a special user information field, a special user information field Present subfield, a HE / EHT P160 subfield, a PS160 subfield, etc.
[0554] For example, when the user information field indicating RA-RU exists after the middle fill field, the HE / EHT P160 subfield indicates HE, and the user information field indicates an RU present in the P160 channel (contained in the P160 channel), the user information field is an HE variant user information field, and HE TB PPDU can be used in response to the user information field.
[0555] When the user information field indicating RA-RU exists after the middle filling field, the HE / EHT P160 subfield indicates HE, and when the user information field indicates RU existing in the S160 channel, the user information field is an EHT variant user information field, and the EHT TB PPDU can be used in response to the user information field. When the user information field indicating RA-RU exists after the middle filling field, if the HE / EHT P160 subfield indicates EHT, the user information field is an EHT variant user information field, and the EHT TB PPDU can be used in response to the user information field.
[0556] In addition, in the above embodiment, the user information field is recorded as an EHT variant user information field, and the EHT TB PPDU can be used when responding to the user information field. It can be expanded so that each user information field is an EHT variant user information field or a NEXT variant user information field, and the EHT TB PPDU or NEXT TB PPDU can be used when responding to the user information field. In this case, if the PHY version ID field included in the special user information field indicates EHT, the user information field is an EHT variant user information field, and the EHT TB PPDU can be used when responding to the user information field. In addition, in this case, if the PHY version ID field included in the special user information field indicates NEXT, the user information field is a NEXT variant user information field, and the NEXT TB PPDU can be used when responding to the user information field.
[0557] In addition, the STA (eg, AP) that transmits the trigger frame may set and generate the trigger frame as follows.
[0558] According to an embodiment, the user information field indicating the RA-RU may be located after the middle padding field to indicate to the RA-RU that the EHT TB PPDU is used to respond. In addition, the user information field of the HE STA (including dedicated, scheduled STA) that triggers the HE STA instead of the EHT STA may be located before the middle padding field, but may not be located after the middle padding field. In addition, the user information field located after the middle padding field may be a user information field that triggers the EHT STA (including dedicated, scheduled STA).
[0559] In addition, the STA responding to the trigger frame may perform the following operations.
[0560] According to an embodiment, the STA responding to the trigger frame may maintain an OBO counter. The STA may use the same OBO counter for 1) the RA-RU indicated by the user information field before the middle fill field and 2) the RA-RU indicated by the user information field after the middle fill field. In addition, when the OBO counter becomes 0 or when the OBO counter is less than or equal to the number of qualified RA-RUs, the STA may select the RU to be used for UORA occurrence from 1) the RA-RU indicated by the user information field before the middle fill field and 2) the RA-RU indicated by the user information field after the middle fill field. In addition, the STA may select the RU to be used for UORA occurrence from 1) the RA-RU indicated by the user information field before the middle fill field and 2) the RA-RU indicated by the user information field after the middle fill field according to the embodiment. Fig.28 and Fig.30 The method described in etc. selects the TB PPDU format corresponding to the selected RU.
[0561] Alternatively, the TBPPDU format corresponding to the selected RU may be determined based on the position of the user information field indicating the selected RU. When the user information field indicating the selected RU exists before the middle padding field, the HE TBPPDU format may be used for response. When the user information field indicating the selected RU exists after the middle padding field, the EHT TB PPDU format may be used for response.
[0562] According to another embodiment, the EHT STA that responds to the trigger frame may use the OBO counter for the RA-RU indicated by the user information field that exists after the middle fill field. The OBO counter may not be used for the RA-RU indicated by the user information field that exists before the middle fill field. In addition, when the OBO counter becomes 0 or when the OBO counter is less than or equal to the number of qualified RA-RUs, the STA may select the RU to be used for UORA transmission in the RA-RU indicated by the user information field that exists after the middle fill field. The RU to be used for UORA transmission is not selected in the RA-RU indicated by the user information field that exists before the middle fill field.
[0563] According to another embodiment, the STA that responds to the trigger frame may maintain multiple OBO counters. In addition, each of the multiple OBO counters may correspond to each standard TB PPDU. For example, two OBO counters may be maintained. The two OBO counters may correspond to 1) the RA-RU indicated by the user information field that exists before the middle fill field and 2) the RA-RU indicated by the user information field that exists after the middle fill field. Each OBO counter is reduced for each RA-RU, and when the OBO counter becomes 0 or the OBO counter is less than or equal to the indicated number of RA-RUs, the RU to be sent may be selected from the corresponding RA-RU of the corresponding OBO counter.
[0564] If multiple OBO counters become 0 for the same trigger frame, or the number of OBO counters is less than or equal to the indicated number of RA-RUs, the RU to be sent can be selected from the RA-RUs corresponding to the multiple OBO counters.
[0565] In the above embodiment, the situation recorded as the OBO counter becoming 0 may include the situation where the OBO counter is less than or equal to the number of qualified RA-RUs even if the OBO counter is not actually reduced. In addition, the OBO counter can be reset when the UORA operation is started or after the PPDU is sent through the UORA operation. At this time, the OBO counter can be arbitrarily selected from integers greater than 0 within the set range and reset. The setting range can be determined based on the UORA parameter setting element (UORAParameter Set element). The setting range can be an orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) contention window (OCW) range. Alternatively, the setting range can be an OCW.
[0566] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a method for distinguishing between an intermediate padding field and a padding field may be required. This is because both the intermediate padding field and the padding field can set the value of the first multiple bits to the same value. This is because, for example, the values of the first 12 bits of the intermediate padding field and the padding field can be set to 1. The padding field can be the field before the FCS included in the trigger frame. Alternatively, the padding field can be the last field included in the trigger frame except the FCS. The FCS may be the last 4-octet included in the trigger frame.
[0567] According to an embodiment, all bits included in the padding field may be set to 1. In addition, the padding field may provide a STA receiving a trigger frame with time required to prepare a response. In addition, the padding field may be at least 2-octet.
[0568] The intermediate padding field may include bits set to values other than 1. For example, among the bits of the intermediate padding field, at least one pre-set bit may be set to a value other than 1. More specifically, among the bits other than the AID12 subfield of the intermediate padding field, at least one pre-set bit may be set to a value other than 1. The at least one pre-set bit may be the 13th bit from the front in the intermediate padding field or a bit as bit index B12 (bit index B12). Therefore, the STA receiving the intermediate padding field can distinguish whether it is an intermediate padding field or a padding field based on at least one pre-set bit value. If the first 12 bits (B0 to B11) of the AID12 subfield position of the user information in the trigger frame received by the STA are all set to 1, then when the pre-set bit after 12 bits is 0, the intermediate padding field may be received. When the pre-set bit after 12 bits is 1, the padding field may be received.
[0569] According to another embodiment, when all bits of the STA at the AID12 subfield position are set to 1, assuming that there is a user information field 1 including all bits set to 1, the next user information field of the user information field 1 may be the user information field 2. If the user information field 2 does not exist after the user information field 1, the user information field 1 may be a padding field. Alternatively, if the user information field 2 exists after the user information field 1, and the value of the AID12 subfield included in the user information field 2 is 4095 (4095 if all bits are set to 1), the user information field 1 and the user information field 2 may be padding fields. Alternatively, if the user information field 2 exists after the user information field 1, and the value of the AID12 subfield included in the user information field 2 is not 4095 (4095 if all bits are set to 1), the user information field 1 is an intermediate padding field.
[0570] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a trigger frame may include multiple intermediate padding fields. The multiple intermediate padding fields included in the trigger frame may all be set to the AID12 subfield position, that is, the first 12 bits are 1. Among the multiple intermediate padding fields included in the trigger frame, the bits other than the AID12 subfield position may be set to different values. For example, in one of the multiple intermediate padding fields included in the trigger frame, the first bit except the AID12 subfield position is set to 0. In another of the multiple intermediate padding fields included in the trigger frame, the second bit except the AID12 subfield position is set to 0.
[0571] Reference Fig.30, the trigger frame may include a special user information field. The special user information field may be a user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to 2007 as a preset value. The special user information field may be present at the front of the user information field. Whether the special user information field is included in the trigger frame may be indicated by the special user information field Present subfield contained in the common information field. If the special user information field Present subfield value is 0, it may indicate that the trigger frame contains the special user information field. If the special user information field Present subfield value is 1, it may indicate that the trigger frame does not contain the special user information field. The STA responding to the trigger frame including the special user information field may respond using the EHT TB PPDU. In addition, the trigger frame may indicate RA-RU. The AID12 subfield included in the user information field indicating the RA-RU may be set to 0 or 2045. The trigger frame may include an intermediate padding field. Based on the position of the user information field indicating the RA-RU included in the trigger frame, the TB PPDU format may be determined. If the user information field indicating RA-RU contained in the trigger frame exists before the middle filling field, HE TB PPDU can be used when responding to RA-R. If the user information field indicating RA-RU contained in the trigger frame exists after the middle filling field, EHT TB PPDU can be used when responding to RA-RU. In addition, in order to determine whether to use the EHT TB PPDU format for response, it can be based on the PHY version ID field contained in the special user information field. For example, when the PHY version ID field indicates EHT, the EHT TB PPDU format can be used to respond at the RA-RU. If the PHY version ID field indicates a value other than EHT, it is impossible to respond at the RA-RU using the EHT TB PPDU format.
[0572] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the position of the user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to a value based on the AID of the STA may be preset. The user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to a value based on the AID of the STA may trigger an STA.
[0573] In an embodiment, the user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to a value based on the STA's AID may all be present before the intermediate padding field. In this case, STAs that do not use UORA may have the advantage of not having to distinguish between the intermediate padding field and the padding field.
[0574] In another embodiment, in the user information field where the AID12 subfield is set to a value based on the STA's AID, the user information field of the triggering STA other than 1) EHT STA or 2) HE STA may all be present after the middle padding field. In this case, the middle padding field may not be recognized as the middle padding field, and the HESTA recognized as the padding field may not parse the user information field after the middle padding field. Therefore, the HE STA can perform power saving.
[0575] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, an intermediate padding field may be included in an NFRP trigger frame. The NFRP trigger frame may be a frame indicating the AID range of the STA to which the user information field is to respond. For example, the user information field contained in the NFRP trigger frame may indicate the starting AID. In addition, the user information field contained in the NFRP trigger frame may indicate the number of STAs that can respond. The number of STAs that can respond may be based on the bandwidth (UL BW of the trigger frame) and the multiplexing flag (the number of spatially multiplexed user subfields (Number of Spatially Multiplexed Users subfield)) contained in the user information field. In addition, the response to the NFRP trigger frame may be an NDP. The NDP may be a PPDU that includes only the preamble of the PPDU. According to one embodiment, the AID value may be randomly assigned to multiple STAs. Therefore, when the NFRP trigger frame indicates the range of AIDs, the STAs with the AIDs of the range may support different standards. Therefore, it may be difficult to obtain a response to the same standard of the NFRP trigger frame. Therefore, in order to spoof the STA that only supports which standard for the NFRP trigger frame, the middle padding field may be included. For example, in order to obtain an NDP response formed by the EHT PPDE for the NFRP trigger frame, the middle padding field may be included. Therefore, the HE STA recognizes the middle padding field as padding and does not respond. Which one of the EHT PPDU or NEXT PPDU responds may follow Figure 27 to Figure 29The method described in . For example, if the user information field included in the NFRP trigger frame exists before the middle padding field, then in response to the user information field, a response may be made by an NDP that is an HE PPDU. In addition, if the user information field included in the NFRP trigger frame exists after the middle padding field, then in response to the user information field, a response may be made by an NDP that is an EHT PPDU or a NEXT PPDU. Which of the EHT PPDU or the NEXT PPDU is used may be based on the format identifier contained in the trigger frame. More specifically, which of the EHT PPDU or the NEXT PPDU is used may be based on the PHY version ID field contained in the special user information field.
[0576] Fig.31 FIG. 2 is a diagram illustrating trigger frame settings according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0577] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the trigger frame may include multiple special user information fields. The special user information field may be the special user information field of the above embodiment. In addition, Fig.31 The described embodiments may be used with Figures 28 to 30 The described embodiments are used together.
[0578] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, among the multiple special user information fields included in the trigger frame, the PHY version ID field included in each special user information field can be set by different values. Among the multiple special user information fields included in the trigger frame, the PHY version ID field included in one special user information field can be set to a value corresponding to EHT, and the PHY version ID field included in another special user information field can be set to a value corresponding to NEXT.
[0579] Reference Fig.31 (a) In which the PHY version ID field is set to a value corresponding to the EHT, a special user information field may exist next to the common information field.
[0580] If the trigger frame includes multiple special user information fields, the multiple special user information fields may exist in the order of the PHY version ID field value contained in each special user information field. When the trigger frame includes multiple special user information fields, the multiple special user information fields may exist next to the common information field.
[0581] Reference Fig.31 (a) A special user information field in which the PHY version ID field is set to a value corresponding to EHT may be followed by a special user information field in which the PHY version ID field is set to a value corresponding to NEXT.
[0582] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, STA can Figures 28 to 30 The method described in the method receives a user information field indicating a RA-RU and indicating a response with an EHT TB PPDU or a NEXT TB PPDU. The operation for this case is described below. The ability to respond to the RA-RU or the inability to respond to the RA-RU recorded below may mean that the RA-RU may be judged as a qualified RA-RU or may not be judged as a qualified RA-RU, respectively. In addition, for a qualified RA-RU, the OBO counter may be reduced or selected as the RU to be sent, and for a RU that is not a qualified RA-RU, the OBO counter cannot be reduced or cannot be selected as the RU to be sent.
[0583] According to an embodiment, when the trigger frame received by the STA does not include any special user information field, the STA may respond to the RA-RU using the HE TB PPDU.
[0584] According to an embodiment, if the trigger frame received by the STA includes a special user information field, and the value indicated by the PHY version ID field contained in the special user information field is a standard supported by the STA, the STA can use the standard TB PPDU indicated by the value indicated by the PHY version ID field to respond to the RA-RU. If the trigger frame received by the STA includes a special user information field, and the value indicated by the PHY version ID field contained in the special user information field is a standard not supported by the STA, the STA cannot not respond to the RA-RU indicated by the trigger frame. In addition, the special user information field received by the STA at this time may be a field located next to the common information field. That is, based on the PHY version ID field contained in the special user information field located next to the common information field received by the STA, it can be determined whether it is possible to respond to the RA-RU. For example, if the trigger frame received by the EHT STA includes a special user information field, and the value indicated by the PHY version ID field contained in the special user information field is EHT, the EHT STA can use the EHT TB PPDU to respond to the RA-RU. If the trigger frame received by the EHT STA contains a special user information field, and the value indicated by the PHY version ID field contained in the special user information field is not EHT, the EHT STA cannot respond to the RA-RU indicated by the trigger frame.
[0585] Reference Fig.31 (b) of the present invention, the trigger frame may include a special user information field. The PHY version ID field included in the special user information field may indicate the NEXT standard. In addition, the trigger frame may include user information 2 and user information 3. In addition, according to Figures 28 to 30 According to the method described in , User Information 2 may indicate the RA-RU to which the HE TB PPDU responds.
[0586] In addition, according to Figures 28 to 30 According to the method described in , the User Information 3 field can indicate the RA-RU responded by the EHT TB PPDU or the NEXT TB PPDU. Therefore, the EHT STA receiving the trigger frame can respond to the User Information 2 field, and the HE TB PPDU can be used at this time.
[0587] In addition, the EHT STA receiving the trigger frame cannot respond to the user information field 3. The inability to respond to the user information field 3 may be because the EHT STA does not support the standard indicated by the PHY version ID field included in the special user information field included in the trigger frame.
[0588] According to an embodiment, if the trigger frame received by the STA includes multiple special user information fields, and at least one of the PHY version ID fields contained in the multiple special user information fields indicates a value that is a standard supported by the STA, the STA can respond to the RA-RU using a TB PPDU of a standard indicated by the indicated value. If the trigger frame received by the STA includes multiple special user information fields, and the values indicated by the PHY version ID fields contained in the multiple special user information fields are all standards that the STA does not support, the STA cannot respond to the RA-RU indicated by the trigger frame.
[0589] Alternatively, if the trigger frame received by the STA includes multiple special user information fields, if the value indicated by the PHY version ID field contained in the special user information field located at the next position of the common information field is a standard supported by the STA, the STA can respond to the RA-RU using the TB PPDU of the standard represented by the indicated value. If the trigger frame received by the STA includes multiple special user information fields, if the value indicated by the PHY version ID field contained in the special user information field located at the next position of the common information field is a standard not supported by the STA, the STA cannot respond to the RA-RU indicated by the trigger frame.
[0590] Reference Fig.31 (a), the trigger frame contains the user information 3 field according to Figures 27 to 30 The method described in indicates that the RA-RU is responded to by the EHT TB PPDU or the NEXT TB PPDU. In addition, the trigger frame may include special user information (Special User Info) in which the PHY version ID field is set to EHT. The special user information field in which the PHY version ID field is set to EHT may exist next to the common information field.
[0591] In addition, the trigger frame may include a special user information field in which the PHY version ID field is set to NEXT. The special user information field in which the PHY version ID field is set to NEXT may exist after the special user information field in which the PHY version ID field is set to EHT. In this case, the EHT STA receiving the trigger frame may respond to the User Information 3 field because the trigger frame includes a special user information field in which the PHY version ID field is set to EHT.
[0592] According to an embodiment, if the trigger frame received by the STA contains multiple special user information fields, and at least one of the PHY version ID fields contained in the multiple special user information fields indicates a value that the STA does not support, the STA may respond to the RA-RU indicated by the trigger frame. If the trigger frame received by the STA contains multiple special user information fields, and the values indicated by the PHY version ID fields contained in the multiple special user information fields are all standards supported by the STA, the STA may respond to the RA-RU indicated by the trigger frame.
[0593] According to another embodiment, a trigger frame including a plurality of special user information fields may not include a user information field indicating RA-RU. Accordingly, in this case, the user information field indicating RA-RU may be included in the trigger frame only when the trigger frame does not include a special user information field or includes only one special user information field. In addition, in this case, it may be determined whether RA-RU can respond according to the above embodiment. That is, when the trigger frame does not include a special user information field, the HE TB PPDU may respond to the indicated RA-RU. If the trigger frame includes only one special user information field, the HE TB PPDU may respond according to the above embodiment. Figures 28 to 30 In the case where the method described in indicates that a HE TB PPDU is to be responded to, a HE TB PPDU may be used to respond to the indicated RA-RU.
[0594] If the trigger frame includes only one special user information field, Figures 28 to 30 When the method described in indicates that the EHT TB PPDU or NEXT TB PPDU is to be responded, it can be determined whether the indicated RU is a RA-RU that can respond based on the PHY version ID field indicated by the special user information field.
[0595] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, when the PHY version ID subfield contained in the special user information field contained in the received trigger frame indicates an unsupported standard, the STA can ignore the content after the special user information field. Alternatively, when the PHY version ID subfield values contained in multiple special user information fields contained in the received trigger frame all indicate an unsupported standard, the STA can ignore the other contents of the trigger frame. Therefore, the STA can perform power saving.
[0596] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, as described above, the special user information field is located next to the common information field and may exist at the front of the user information field, but as an exception, the middle padding field may exist before the special user information field. That is, the middle padding field may exist next to the common information field. In this case, regardless of the trigger type, the special user information field may not include the user information field of Trigger Dependent. That is, the special user information field may be 40 bits.
[0597] Fig.32 FIG. 2 is a diagram showing trigger frame settings and UORA operations according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[0598] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, based on the multiple subfields contained in the trigger frame, it is possible to indicate and determine which TB PPDU variant the user information field indicates or which TB PPDU format is used in response to the trigger frame. In the present invention, the above content may be omitted. In addition, this embodiment may be described differently. Fig.28 etc.
[0599] according to Fig.28 In the embodiment described in, the HE / EHT P160 subfield indicates the EHT TB PPDU (i.e., when the subfield value is set to 0), it can be responded by the EHT TB PPDU. In addition, 1) the HE / EHT P160 subfield indicates the HE TB PPDU (i.e., when the subfield value is set to 1), 2) the PS160 subfield indicates P160 (i.e., when the subfield value is set to 0), it can be responded by the HE TB PPDU. In addition, 1) the HE / EHT P160 subfield indicates the HE TB PPDU (i.e., when the subfield value is set to 1), 2) the PS160 subfield indicates S160 (i.e., when the subfield value is set to 1), it can be responded by the EHT TB PPDU.
[0600] In addition, the above-mentioned case of responding with HE TB PPDU may be the same as the case where the corresponding user information field indicates the HE variant user information field of the HE TB PPDU. In addition, the above-mentioned case of responding with EHT TB PPDU may be the same as the case where the corresponding user information field is the EHT variant user information field.
[0601] Alternatively, when responding to the HE variant user information field, the EHT variant user information field, and the NEXT variant user information field, the HE TB PPDU, the EHT TB PPDU, and the NEXT TB PPDU may be used, respectively.
[0602] To summarize the embodiments, 1) the HE / EHT P160 subfield indicates the HE TB PPDU (ie, when the subfield value is set to 1), 2) the PS160 subfield of the user information field indicates P160 (ie, when the subfield value is set to 0), the user information field may be a HE variant user information field. In other cases (ie, the HE / EHT P160 subfield and the PS160 subfield 1) are set to 1 and 1, respectively, or 2) are set to 0 and 1, respectively, or 3) are set to 0 and 0, respectively), the user information field may be an EHT variant user information field.
[0603] Reference Fig.28 , the HE / EHT P160 subfield may be included in the common information field. More specifically, the HE / EHT P160 subfield may be included in the bit B54 position of the common information field. In addition, referring to Fig.28 , the special user information existence subfield may be included in the common information field. More specifically, the special user information existence subfield may be included in the bit B55 position of the common information field.
[0604] This embodiment can be used with Fig.28 According to an embodiment of the present invention, the user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to 0 or 2045 may not be set to the EHT variant user information field. That is, the user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to 0 or 2045 may not indicate that a response is made with an EHT TB PPDU. In addition, the user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to an AID12 subfield value other than 0 or 2045 indicating an RA-RU may not be set to the HE variant user information field. That is, the user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to an AID12 subfield value other than 0 or 2045 indicating an RA-RU may not be set to respond with an HE TB PPDU.
[0605] In addition, even if there are limitations on the above-mentioned setting method and indication method, there may be a response method for dealing with the situation where the STA (AP) that sends the trigger frame cannot implement this correctly. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, when the user information field in the received trigger frame in which the AID12 subfield is set to 0 or 2045 is set to the EHT variant user information field, the user information field can be ignored. Alternatively, the RU indicated by the user information field may not be judged as a qualified RA-RU. Alternatively, the OBO counter can be reduced for the RA-RU corresponding to the user information field, but it is not used to set the OBO counter to 0 or the RA-RU selected for transmission.
[0606] In addition, according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, when the user information field in which the AID12 subfield value other than 0 or 2045 indicating the RA-RU is set to the HE variant user information field in the received trigger frame, the user information field may be ignored. Alternatively, the RU indicated by the user information field may not be judged as a qualified RA-RU. Alternatively, the OBO counter may be reduced for the RA-RU corresponding to the user information field, but it is not used to set the OBO counter to 0 or the RA-RU selected for transmission.
[0607] The embodiments of the present disclosure may involve Fig.30 TB PPDU format indication method described in . According to one embodiment of the present invention, when the user information field of AID12 subfield is set to 0 or 2045 is set to the EHT variant user information field, the user information field may not be located before the mid-padding field. That is, when the user information field of AID12 subfield is set to 0 or 2045 is set to the EHT variant user information field, the user information field may not be located at a position indicating that the HE TB PPDU is responded to. In addition, when the user information field of AID12 subfield is set to 0 or 2045 is set to the HE variant user information field, the user information field may not be located after the mid-padding field. That is, when the user information field of AID12 subfield is set to 0 or 2045 is set to the HE variant user information field, the user information field may not be located at a position indicating that the EHT TB PPDU is responded to.
[0608] In addition, even if there are restrictions on the above-mentioned setting method and indication method, there may be a response method for dealing with the situation where the STA (AP) sending the trigger frame cannot implement this correctly. According to one embodiment of the present invention, when the user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to 0 or 2045 is set to the EHT variant user information field in the received trigger frame, there may be a situation where the user information field is located before the middle padding field. Alternatively, in the received trigger frame, when the user information field in which the AID12 subfield is set to 0 or 2045 is set to the HE variant user information field, there may be a situation where the user information field is located after the middle padding field. In this case, the user information field can be ignored. Alternatively, the RU indicated by the user information field may not be judged as a qualified RA-RU. Alternatively, the OBO counter can be reduced for the RA-RU corresponding to the user information field, but it is not used to set the OBO counter to 0 or the RA-RU selected for transmission.
[0609] Fig.32 A trigger frame and an EHT TB PPDU as a response thereto are shown. Fig.32 , the trigger frame may include a common information field. In addition, the trigger frame may include one or more user information fields. Fig.32 , the one or more user information fields may include a special user information field, a user information 2 field, and a user information 3 field. The common information field may include a special user information field Present subfield. In addition, the special user information field Present subfield value is set to 0, thereby indicating that the trigger frame contains a special user information field. Fig.32 , the user information 2 field and the user information 3 field can both be EHT variant user information fields. The method for displaying the EHT variant user information field in the user information field can be based on the above-mentioned embodiment.
[0610] In addition, the AID12 subfield value of 0 or 2045 may indicate that the RA-RU to be responded by the HE TB PPDU. Fig.32 , the User Information 2 field is set to the EHT variant User Information field, and the AID12 subfield contained in the User Information 2 field is set to 0 or 2045. Therefore, as to which PPDU format should be used in response to the User Information 2 field, the User Information 2 field indicates two types of PPDUs.
[0611] The variant indicated by the user information field is EHT, and the AID12 subfield can indicate HE. Therefore, these settings may not be allowed. However, if the trigger frame is set in this way, and the STA (non-AP STA) receives the trigger frame with such settings, the user information 2 field can be ignored. Alternatively, the RU indicated by the user information 2 field may not be judged as a qualified RA-RU. Alternatively, the RU indicated by the user information 2 field may not respond with a UORA. Alternatively, for the RU indicated by the user information 2 field, the OBO counter is not reduced or may not be selected as the RU responded by the UORA. Therefore, refer to Fig.32 Even if the TBPPDU format indicated by the trigger frame is set to conflict, the conflicting user information field is ignored, so that the PPDU is not sent to the RU indicated by the user information 2 field, so the UL MU operation is successfully formed.
[0612] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, there may be a STA (or AP) with limited capability. A STA with limited capability may be a STA that implements only baseline features. Having limited capability may be indicated by the management information base (MIB) of dot11EHTBaseLineFeaturesImplementedOnly. For example, a STA with limited capability may set dot11EHTBaseLineFeaturesImplementedOnly to true.
[0613] According to an embodiment, a STA with limited capabilities may not solicit multiple TBPPDU formats with one trigger frame. More specifically, a STA with limited capabilities may not solicit HE TB PPDU and EHT TBPPDU with one trigger frame.
[0614] According to an embodiment, a STA with limited capabilities (which may be an AP) may not indicate a RA-RU that responds with an EHT TB PPDU. Alternatively, a STA with limited capabilities may not indicate a RA-RU that responds with an EHT TB PPDU. Therefore, according to an embodiment of the present invention, a STA with limited capabilities may set the AID12 subfield to 0 or the user information field of 2045 not to the EHT variant user information field. In addition, a STA with limited capabilities may set the AID12 subfield to 0 or the user information field of 2045 to only the HE variant user information field.
[0615] In addition, a STA with limited capabilities may set the user information field with the AID12 subfield set to 0 or 2045 to exclude it from the trigger frame indicating the EHT TB PPDU. That is, a STA with limited capabilities may set the user information field with the AID12 subfield set to 0 or 2045 to include it only in the trigger frame indicating the HE TB PPDU.
[0616] The trigger frame indicating the EHT TB PPDU may be a trigger frame including at least one EHT variant user information field. Alternatively, the trigger frame indicating the EHT TB PPDU may be a trigger frame including a special user information field. Alternatively, the trigger frame indicating the EHT TB PPDU may be a trigger frame indicating that the special user information field Present subfield is present. The trigger frame indicating the HE TB PPDU may be a trigger frame in which all user information fields contained therein are HE variant user information fields. Alternatively, the trigger frame indicating the HE TB PPDU may be a trigger frame that does not include a special user information field. Alternatively, the trigger frame indicating the HETB PPDU may be a trigger frame indicating that the special user information field Present subfield is not present.
[0617] According to an embodiment, a STA with limited capabilities may not include 1) a trigger frame or TRS indicating a HE TB PPDU, 2) a trigger frame or TRS indicating an EHT TB PPDU in one PPDU. Alternatively, a STA with limited capabilities may not include 1) a trigger frame or TRS indicating a HE TB PPDU, 2) a trigger frame or TRS indicating an EHT TB PPDU in one A-MPDU.
[0618] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, there may be capability signaling for sending capability information showing whether RA-RU or UORA responded by EHT TB PPDU is supported. This signaling may exist independently of capability signaling showing whether RA-RU or UORA responded by HE TB PPDU is supported. Capability signaling showing whether RA-RU or UORA responded by EHT TB PPDU is supported may be included in the EHT capability element.
[0619] The capability signaling indicating whether RA-RU or UORA responded by HE TB PPDU is supported may be included in the HE capability element. The EHT capability element or the HE capability element may be included in a beacon frame, a probe request frame, a probe response frame, an association request frame, an association response frame, a reassociation request frame, a reassociation response frame, etc. In addition, when the AP sends such signaling, it may indicate whether RA-RU can be indicated or allocated. In addition, when a non-AP STA sends such signaling, it may indicate a response to the indicated or allocated RA-RU or whether UORA participates or not.
[0620] Fig.33 FIG. 2 is a diagram illustrating a UL MU operation using a TRS according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0621] According to an embodiment, the RU to which the TRS is allocated or indicated may be determined based on the location or bandwidth of the RU to which the TRS is transmitted.
[0622] For example, there may be a situation where the RU sent by the TRS is less than or equal to a preset bandwidth. In this case, the RU indicated by the TRS may be included within a subchannel of a preset bandwidth, which subchannel includes the RU sent by the TRS. For example, the preset bandwidth may be 160MHz. In the case where the RU sent by the TRS is sent in a subchannel of the P160 (primary160MHz) channel, the RU indicated by the TRS may be included within P160. In addition, in the case where the RU sent by the TRS is sent in a subchannel of the S160 (secondary160MHz) channel, the RU indicated by the TRS may be included within S160. Therefore, when the TRS indicates the RU, it may not indicate in which subchannel of a preset bandwidth the RU is included. That is, for example, the TRS may indicate an RU within 320MHz without the need for signaling that plays the same role as the PS160 subfield previously included in the trigger frame.
[0623] Reference Fig.33 , the PPDU may include TRS1 and TRS2. TRS1 and TRS2 may be TRSs requesting the EHT TB PPDU. TRS1 may be sent from within the P160 channel. In this case, the RU indicated by TRS1 may be an RU within the P160 channel. Therefore, the STA responding to TRS1 may respond using the RU within the P160 channel. In addition, TRS2 may be sent from within the S160 channel. In this case, the RU indicated by TRS2 may be an RU within the S160 channel. Therefore, the STA responding to TRS2 may respond using the RU within the S160 channel.
[0624] However, these rules may be ambiguous if the TRS is sent in an RU with a bandwidth greater than a preset bandwidth (eg, 160 MHz).
[0625] Therefore, according to an embodiment, the RU including the TRS may not exceed the preset bandwidth. Specifically, for example, the RU including the TRS may not exceed 160MHz. In addition, if the RU including the TRS received by the STA exceeds the preset bandwidth, the received TRS may be ignored and not responded.
[0626] According to another embodiment, the RU including TRS may exceed a preset bandwidth, and a rule for interpreting the allocated RU may be defined at this time. According to an embodiment of the present invention, when the RU including TRS exceeds a preset bandwidth, the allocated RU may be indicated as an RU located in an interval exceeding the preset bandwidth. Alternatively, only when the RU including TRS exceeds a preset bandwidth, a response may be made to the RU located in an interval exceeding the preset bandwidth. Alternatively, when the RU including TRS exceeds a preset bandwidth, the allocated RU may be an RU exceeding the preset bandwidth. Alternatively, only when the RU including TRS exceeds a preset bandwidth, a response may be made to the RU exceeding the preset bandwidth.
[0627] More specifically, when the RU including the TRS exceeds 160MHz, it may be an RU indicating the subchannels of P160 and S160. Alternatively, if the RU including the TRS exceeds 160MHz, it may be a response in the RU of the subchannels of P160 and S160.
[0628] In addition, when the RU including the TRS exceeds the preset bandwidth, only the RU exceeding the preset bandwidth may be indicated. In addition, when the RU including the TRS is equal to or less than the preset bandwidth, only the RU equal to or less than the preset bandwidth may be indicated.
[0629] Alternatively, when the RU including the TRS exceeds the preset bandwidth, the RU indicated by the TRS may be located in a subchannel of the preset bandwidth at a preset position. For example, the preset bandwidth may be 160 MHz. If the RU including the TRS exceeds 160 MHz, the RU indicated by the TRS may be located in the P160 channel.
[0630] Alternatively, when the RU indicated by TRS is greater than 160MHz, 160MHz in the indicated RU may be located in the 160MHz channel including the RU sent by TRS. That is, when the RU indicated by TRS is greater than 160MHz, two 996-tones in the indicated RU may be located in the 160MHz channel including the RU sent by TRS.
[0631] Reference Fig.33 , TRS3 may request an EHT TB PPDU. In addition, the bandwidth of the RU including TRS3 may exceed 160MHz. For example, the bandwidth of the RU including TRS3 may be 320MHz. In this case, the RU indicated by TRS3 or the RU used to respond to TRS3 may exceed 160MHz. Alternatively, the RU indicated by TRS3 or the RU used to respond to TRS3 may exist across the P160 channel and the S160 channel.
[0632] Fig.34 A trigger frame of the next generation standard according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is illustrated.
